Exploring the Impact of Live Commercial Anchors on Business Performance and Survival Strategy: Focusing on Resource Configuration and Environmental Choice

  • Purpose - Through the analysis and research of different characteristics and related mechanisms of live commerce anchors, this paper aimed to help live commerce anchors to strengthen their characteristic advantages, beautify the live broadcast environment, improve resource allocation and enhance business performance, so as to help live commerce anchors to achieve better high-quality development. Research design, data, and methodology - This study was conducted by sample survey method on 361 live commercial anchors who have experience in using major online shopping malls for more than one year. Data analysis methods were frequency analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, reliability analysis, correlation analysis, and structural equation model analysis. Result - Hypothesis 1 through Hypothesis 5 were all supported. The results of this study suggest that professionalism and mutual entertainment of live commercial anchors have a significant impact on business performance, survival strategy, resource allocation and environment selection. The resource allocation and environment selection of live commercial anchors play a mediating role in the professionalism and mutual entertainment of live commercial anchors on business performance and survival strategy. Conclusion -The results implied that the professionalism and inter entertainment of live commercial anchors have a positive impact on business performance and survival strategy. In the new situation, live commercial anchors should further improve their professionalism and mutual entertainment, so as to achieve better development.

The Survival of Paid Broadcasting Channels in Korea, 1993-2010

  • This study investigates the decisive factors affecting the survival or collapse of cable networks in the Korean paid broadcasting market from 1993 to 2010. The effects of performance variables discussed in previous studies were verified through survival analyses. According to the results, the most influential factors in the survival of cable networks were horizontal integration (MPP), channel genre, the scheduling of HDTV content, and the proportion of access program scheduling. These findings imply that the differentiation strategy of content suppliers is the most decisive factor among all business performance-related factors. Specifically, the content supply power and strategy of the program provider (PP) have the greatest influence on cable network viability. The present study is meaningful as the first attempt to establish the performance of PPs in Korean pay broadcasting markets through the viewpoint of organizational mortality. Accordingly, the present study can supplement the results of cross-sectional studies conducted with smaller samples.

청년창업기업의 생존요인에 관한 실증연구 (Empirical Study on Survival Factors of Youth Start-Ups)

  • 본 연구는 청년창업기업의 생존요인을 분석한 것으로 기술보증기금이 청년창업기업 보증을 지원하기 위해 2012년부터 2015년까지의 기간에 평가한 3,540개 사의 평가자료를 기초로 이루어졌다. 청년창업기업 보증 대상은 창업자 연령이 39세 이하이다. 청년창업기업의 생존여부를 종속변수로, 창업자 특성, 창업환경, 창업전략을 독립변수로 정의하였다. 생존은 보증사고 발생 여부 기준으로 12개월, 36개월, 60개월, 84개월 생존으로 각각 정의하여 측정하였다. 창업자 특성은 기업가정신, 지식수준, 개발역량으로 정의하였다. 창업환경은 경쟁상황, 대체품과의 비교우위로 정의하였다. 창업전략은 아이템의 참신성, 사업화 계획, 자금조달계획으로 정의하였다. 이들 독립변수의 측정은 기술보증기금의 청년창업기업보증 심사자료를 활용하였다. 가설검정을 위해 Cox 비례위험모형을 활용하였다. 분석 결과, 창업자 특성의 항목인 지식수준, 개발역량과 창업전략의 항목인 자금조달계획이 12개월, 36개월, 60개월, 84개월 생존기간 모두에서 유의한 변수이다. 창업전략의 항목인 아이템의 참신성은 36개월, 60개월, 84개월 생존에서 긍정적인 영향을 미쳤다. 창업자 특성의 기업가정신은 12개월 생존에서만 유의하였다. 창업환경은 생존에 의미 있는 영향을 미치지 못한다. 생존에 중요한 순서는 자금조달계획, 지식수준, 아이템의 참신성, 개발역량 순으로 파악되었으며, 이중 초반에서는 창업자의 지식 수준이 후반에는 자금조달계획이 가장 큰 영향을 미치고 있다.

  • As cable TV, which has been leading the paid broadcasting market, has given the lead to IPTV, which has huge communication capital, its competitiveness is gradually weakening. This study examines the operation status of local cable TV and seeks ways to strengthen competitiveness for survival. To this end, we conducted data analysis such as related statistics, broadcasting industry survey reports, IPTV growth reports, CMB management indicators, paid broadcasting literature data, marketing reports, industry success stories, and marketing mix and SWOT analysis. As a result, four strategies for strengthening the survival competitiveness of local cable TV, namely joint purchase apartment marketing strategy, influencer marketing strategy, relationship marketing strategy, and digital marketing strategy were derived. Therefore, the results of this study can contribute to the improvement of the competitiveness of local cable TV, which has been with local residents through close content, and can be used as basic data for establishing marketing strategies for local cable TV in the future.

  • The growth rate and survival of an enterprise depends on strategy capability which is appropriately managing environmental change. An excellent adaptation to the environment of enterprises and proper utilization of their resources make them grow. In addition, the important problem is present on the concentration of restricted industry strategy. By the analysis of industry strategy and the outcome due to functional strategy, this report deals with the creation of competitive advantege of manufacturing company and strategic directions of enterprises.

뱀장어 자어용 액상사료 개발 (Development of the Slurry Type Diet for the Growing Leptocephalus, Eel Larvae (Anguilla japonica))

  • This feeding experiment was conducted to investigate the effects of slurry type diet on growth performance and survival rate of growing leptocephalus, eel larva. We need to find new materials of diets for rearing eel larvae. Test diets were formulated with the eggs of the shark, fish soluble concentrate, soybean peptide and fish protein hydrolysate. Fish (average length 6 mm) were fed 3 slurry type diet(A, B and C) based on shark egg for 5 times per day. During feeding experiment, survival rates were significantly different among 3 slurry type diets. Total protein, lipid, moisture, ash and free amino acids contents were analyzed for slurry type diets. Leptocephalus fed the C slurry type diet was grown up to $38.0{\pm}9mm$ at 150 days. But all leptocephalus fed B slurry type diet were died at 100 days, reaching $16.4{\pm}8mm$. This results suggest that basic information for diet development of eel leptocephalus.

지식창조, 혁신을 위한 블루오션 전략과 트리즈의 전술적 활용 (Utilizing Blue Ocean Strategy and Business TRIZ Tactics for Knowledge Creation and Innovation)

  • This paper describes the Blue Ocean Strategy and Business TRIZ (Russian Theory of Inventive Problem Solving) Tactics as one method for knowledge creation and innovation. The opening new market avoiding keen competition is very popular recently and is not just prosper, but survival problem. As one new strategy for finding new market, the Blue Ocean Strategy gives the big blueprint for new market, but has no enough tools to make more concrete ideas. In this paper, we suggest using the Strategy Campus and other tools in the Blue Ocean Strategy at initial stage and then, compensating the TRIZ principles to make more concrete ideas for new market as tactics. We applied it to find the new market for conventional newspaper industry and EBS (Education Broadcast System) management innovation in Korea as case studies and got better results comparing to using only the Blue Ocean Strategy.

Estimating survival distributions for two-stage adaptive treatment strategies: A simulation study

  • Inference following two-stage adaptive designs (also known as two-stage randomization designs) with survival endpoints usually focuses on estimating and comparing survival distributions for the different treatment strategies. The aim is to identify the treatment strategy(ies) that leads to better survival of the patients. The objectives of this study were to assess the performance three commonly cited methods for estimating survival distributions in two-stage randomization designs. We review three non-parametric methods for estimating survival distributions in two-stage adaptive designs and compare their performance using simulation studies. The simulation studies show that the method based on the marginal mean model is badly affected by high censoring rates and response rate. The other two methods which are natural extensions of the Nelson-Aalen estimator and the Kaplan-Meier estimator have similar performance. These two methods yield survival estimates which have less bias and more precise than the marginal mean model even in cases of small sample sizes. The weighted versions of the Nelson-Aalen and the Kaplan-Meier estimators are less affected by high censoring rates and low response rates. The bias of the method based on the marginal mean model increases rapidly with increase in censoring rate compared to the other two methods. We apply the three methods to a leukemia clinical trial dataset and also compare the results.
