낙동강 하구 사주섬의 식물상 (The Flora of Delta in the Nakdong River Estuary)

  • For providing basic data on estuary conservation and pattern of vegetation succession of sand bar, the flora of delta was investigated from March 2004 to August 2006 in the Nakdong River estuary of Korea. The flora in the eight surveyed areas was composed of total 159 taxa that belonged to 46 families, 123 genera, 133 species, 1 subspecies, 20 varieties, and 5 forms. Among them, naturalized plants and evergreen broad trees were 31 taxa and 5 taxa, respectively. The communities of main species at delta of estuary were composed of 16 species such as Rosa rugusa community, Scirpus triqueter community, Phragmites communis community, Carex kobomugi community, Digitaria ciliaris community. Especially, Rosa rugusa community which are important to establish the southern limit line of distribution as the northern factor was distributed through Jinwoodo. The succession of main vegetation community in the new delta (Doyodeung) was in order of Carex scabrifolia, Scirpus triqueter, Phragmites communis, Imperata cylindrica var. koenigii and Miscanthus sinensis var. purpurascens. Therefore, the succession order of the surveyed area seems to predict the pattern of the vegetation succession of another deltas in Nakdong River estuary.

가업상속제도 개선방안 (A Study on Inheritance Tax Relief System for Business Succession)

  • 최근 우리나라의 경제성장을 이끌어온 창업세대가 세대교체를 맞이하고 있으며 그 전환점에 있어서 가업승계가 중소기업 경영자의 중요한 관심사로 떠오르고 있다. 이에 정부에서는 국가 경제성장의 주축인 중소기업의 가업승계 과정에서 발생하는 조세부담을 완화하고, 지속적인 성장을 통한 일자리 창출에 기여하기 위하여 가업승계에 대한 세제지원을 지속적으로 확대해 오고 있다. 본 연구는 우리나라 가업상속제도의 현황을 살펴보고 가업승계의 활성화를 위한 개선방안을 제시하고자 하였다. 가업상속 세제지원 혜택시 그 적용대상 재산의 범위는 해당 세제지원 혜택을 제공하는 취지가 잘 반영될 수 있도록 규정되어야 하고, 가업승계 중소기업들은 가업승계 요건을 맞추기 쉽지 않아 제도의 실효성 문제가 대두되고 있어 중소기업 현실을 고려한 가업승계 요건을 개선해야 할 필요성이 있다. 또한 가업상속에 대해 상속세 공제혜택을 제공하는 경우 실질적인 가업 상속에 한해 세제지원혜택이 돌아갈 수 있도록 사후 관리 규정이 필요하다.

Differences between Sand and Gravel Bars of Streams in Patterns of Vegetation Succession

  • We analyzed the factors driving succession and the structure, and dynamics of vegetation on sand and gravel bars in order to clarify the differences in vegetation succession in rivers with different river bed substrates. Woody plant communities (dominated by Salix), perennial herb communities (dominated by Miscanthus), and annual plant communities (dominated by Persicaria) appeared in that order from upstream to downstream on the sandbar. The results of DCA ordination based on vegetation data reflected a successional trend. This result suggests that sandbars grow in a downstream direction. Various vegetation types different in successional stage, such as grassland, young stands of Korean red pine (Pinus densiflora), two-layered stands of young and mature pines, and mature pine stands also occurred on gravel bars, but the vegetation in earlier successional stage was established upstream, which is the opposite to the direction found on sandbars. Those results demonstrate that the dynamics of the bed load itself could be a factor affecting vegetation succession in rivers. In fact, sands suspended by running water were transported downstream over the vegetated area of sand bar and thereby created new areas of sandbar on the downstream end of the sandbar. Meanwhile, gravel, which is heavy and thereby is shifted by strong water currents, accumulated on the upstream end of the vegetated area, and thus created new areas of gravel bar in that direction. These results showed that allogenic processes drive vegetation succession on sand and gravel bars in streams and rivers.

Review on the succession process of Pinus densiflora forests in South Korea: progressive and disturbance-driven succession

  • Background: Most of the Pinus densiflora forests, occupying the largest area, have been restored in South Korea since the 1970s. As young pioneer forests, the succession process is under way. Since the forests are distributed nationwide and are vulnerable to disturbances, the process may differ depending on the geography and/or site conditions. Therefore, we reviewed the direction, the seral communities, and the late-successional species of progressive and disturbance-driven succession nationwide in the cool-temperate zone through meta-analysis and empirical observations. Main text: As a result of a meta-analysis of the direct succession and vertical structure, we found that the P. densiflora forest is in a directionally progressive succession, changing to the broadleaved forest after forming a mixed forest with its overwhelming successor, Quercus species (particularly Q. mongolica and Q. serrata). In dry stands in a relative sense, the Quercus species was favored occupying over 80% of the abundance of the succeeding species. Therefore, in dry stands, it is presumed that Quercus-dominated stage would last for a long time due to the current dominance and long life span, and eventually, it settles as Quercus-broadleaved forest with a site change. Contrary to this, it is presumed that in mesic stands where Quercus species do not occur or have low abundance, the late-successional broadleaved species settle early to form a co-dominant forest with multiple species. Due to geographical limits, the species composition of the two late-successional forests is different. Disturbances such as insect pests and fire retrogressed vulnerable P. densiflora forest for a while. However, it was mostly restored to the Quercus forest and is expected to be incorporated in the pathway of the dry stand. Conclusions: We revealed the succession process of P. densiflora forests according to geography and moisture and found that stand moisture had a decisive effect on the species and abundance of the successor. Although the P. densiflora forest is undergoing structural changes, the forest is still young; so within a few decades, physiognomy is not likely to change. Therefore, the decrease in the forest area may be due to other causes such as disturbances and forest conversion rather than due to succession.

Characteristics of vegetation succession on the Pinus thunbergii forests in warm temperate regions, Jeju Island, South Korea

  • Background: To investigate the trends of succession occurring at the Pinus thunbergii forests on the lowlands of Jeju Island, we quantified the species compositions and the importance values by vegetation layers of Braun-Blanquet method on the Pinus thunbergii forests. We used multivariate analysis technique to know the correlations between the vegetation group types and the location environmental factors; we used the location environment factors such as altitudes above sea level, tidal winds (distance from the coast), annual average temperatures, and forest gaps to know the vegetation distribution patterns. Results: According to the results on the lowland of Jeju Island, the understory vegetation of the lowland Pinus thunbergii forests was dominated by tall evergreen broad-leaved trees such as Machilus thunbergii, Neolitsea sericea, and Cinnamomum japonicum showing a vegetation group structure of the mid-succession, and the distribution patterns of vegetation were determined by the altitudes above sea level, the tidal winds on the distance from the coast, the annual average temperatures, and the forest gaps. We could discriminate the secondary succession characteristics of the Pinus thunbergii forests on the lowland and highland of Jeju Island of South Korea. Conclusions: In the lowland of Jeju Island, the secondary succession will progress to the form of Pinus thunbergii (early successional species)→Machilus thunbergii, Litsea japonica (mid-successional species)→Machilus thunbergii (late-successional species) sequence in the temperate areas with strong tidal winds. In the highland of Jeju Island, the succession will progress to the form of Pinus thunbergii (early successional species)→Neolitsea sericea, Eurya japonica (mid-successional species)→Castanopsis sieboldii (late-successional species) sequence in the areas where tidal winds are weak and temperatures are relatively low. However, local differences between lowland and highland of Jeju Island will be caused by the micro-environmental factors resulting from the topographic differences and the supply of tree seeds. From the characteristics of succession study, we could properly predict and manage the Pinus thunbergii forest ecosystem on lowland and highland of Jeju Island.

생태적 특성에 따른 산림녹지의 관리방안 -부천시의 사례- (Managemtn Devices of Urban Forest in Accordance with Ecological Characteristics in the Case of Buncheon City)

  • The purpose of this study is to suggest the ecological management based on ecological characteristics of urban forest in Bucheon city. The actual vegetation area in the survey sites(7,426,587$m^2$) consisted of Robinuia pseudoacacia forest(61.6%; 5,574,168 $m^2$), Pinus rigida forest(6.1%), Quercus mongolica community(3.2%), Q.spp.community(2.9%), etc. According to the importance value of artificial planting forest, 58(/300$m^2$) survey plots were divided into 6 groups; 1) R. pseudoacacia forest, 2) R. pseudoacacia-Q.serrata community, 3) R. pseudoacacia-Q.mongolica community, 4) P.rigide forest, 5) P.rigida-Q.serrata community, 6) P.rigida-Q. mongolica community. As the result, the artificial planting forest was expected to the proceeded to Q. serrata community and Q.mongolica community. The ecological succesion stage in the survey sites (7,426,587$m^2$) was divided into 5 states based on actual vegetation, succession trend of artificial planting forest in Bucheon; 1) Stage of impossible succession(4.7%, 2)Stage of inducible succession(78.7%), 3) Stage of progressive succession(2.7%), 4)Sage of last succession(1.4%), 5)Stage of native plant forest(12.5%). The ecological management of urban forest was suggested as the management method for succession promotion, according to density controlling and native species planting in Bucheon. Individual numbers of R. pseudoacacia might be reduced to 6~8 individuals/300$m^2$ at canopy, 9~21 individuals/300$m^2$ at under-story by selective cutting in order to keep 63~70% of total basal area at R. pseudoacacia forest. Individual numbers of P.rigida might be reduced to 8~9 individuals/300$m^2$ at canopy, 27~30individuals/300$m^2$ at under-story by selective cutting in order to keep 68~75% of total basal area at P. rigida forest. 24 species that were selective by constancy analysis were chosen as the ecological appropriate species. Since, this studyis discussing the ares of urban forest and botanical ecology, it is suggested that a study on the relations between of environmental factors such as soil, climate, and vegetation will be performed in the future.

인적 요인 및 제도적 요인이 중소기업 승계 의도에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Human and Institutional Factors on Succession Intentions of Small and Medium Enterprises)

  • 중소기업 창업주의 고령화가 진전되면서 기업 승계에 대한 이슈가 부상하고 있다. 이러한 시점에서 본 연구는 승계하고자 하는 사람, 받고자 하는 사람, 제3의 이해관계인과 같은 인적 요인과 기업 승계와 둘러싼 제도적인 요소인 법제, 세제, 신탁 등이 기업 승계 의도에 미치는 영향을 실증적으로 분석을 했다. 이를 위해 현재 중소기업을 운영하고 있는 대표자를 대상으로 설문조사를 하였다. 총 유효한 설문은 201부였다. 이를 토대로 위계적회귀분석 방법으로 실증 분석을 하였다. 실증 분석 결과는 다음과 같다. 인적 요소인 경영자 역량, 후계자 역량은 기업 승계의도에 유의한 정(+)의 영향을 미쳤다. 제도적 요소인 세제와 신탁도 기업 승계의도에 유의한 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 하지만 제3의 이해관계인과 법제는 기업 승계의도에 유의한 영향 관계가 검정되지 않았다. 유의한 영향을 미치는 요소 중에서 영향력의 크기는 후계자 역량, 경영자 역량, 세제, 신탁 순으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구 결과는 기존의 인적 요소 위주의 연구에서 한걸음 더 나아가 제도적 요인인 세제나 신탁 등도 기업 승계에 매우 중요한 영향을 미친다는 것을 밝힌 점에서 학술적 및 실무적 의의가 있다.

가족기업의 승계프로세스 특성이 조직성과에 미치는 영향: 전략적 인적자원관리의 조절효과 (Effects of the Characteristics of the Succession Process on Organizational Performance of Family Business Firms: Moderating Effects of Strategic Human Resource Management)

  • 본 연구는 가족기업의 중요 이해관계자 중 하나인 종업원의 관점에서 승계프로세스 특성이 조직성과에 미치는 영향과 이 관계에서 전략적 인적자원관리 관행의 조절효과를 살펴보았다. 이를 위해 승계가 진행 중이거나 완료된 중소가족기업의 후계자와 인사담당자를 대상으로 설문조사 실시하였고, 총 124부를 실증분석에 활용하여 다음과 같은 분석결과를 도출하였다. 첫째, 승계프로세스 특성 중 후계자의 승계준비 수준은 조직성과에 유의미한 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 승계 후 승계자의 역할 정의, 승계 이해관계자 참여수준, 승계자의 퇴임수용 의지는 조직성과에 유의미한 영향을 미치지 않았다. 둘째, 전략적 인적자원관리 관행들 중에서 채용관리가 잘 이루어질수록 이해관계자 참여수준, 승계자의 퇴임수용 의지가 조직성과에 미치는 영향이 더 커지는 것으로 나타났다. 결국 가족기업의 성공적인 승계를 위해서는 다양한 승계프로세스 특성 중 무엇보다 후계자의 승계를 위한 체계적인 준비프로그램이 필요하다는 것을 확인하였다. 또한 다양한 전략적 인적자원관리 관행 요인 중 우수한 인재를 확보 유지할 수 있는 채용관리와 후계자의 승계가 함께 작용하여 조직의 성공을 이끌 수 있다는 점을 시사해주고 있다.

기업승계와 장수기업이 지역경제에 미치는 영향 분석 (Analysis on the Impact of Corporate Succession and Old Companies on the Local Economy)

  • 우리나라 중소기업 CEO의 연령은 평균 58.8세로 기업승계 지원과 관련된 논의가 활발하게 진행되고 있다. 본 연구는 기업승계가 국가경제 및 지역경제활성화 정도에 미치는 영향을 살펴보았다. 자료의 신뢰성 확보를 위해 중소기업 통계 DB가 가장 많이 구축되어있는 중소기업지원사업통합관리시스템과 한국기업데이터 DB를 활용하였는데, 이 부분이 기존 연구와의 가장 차별화된 부분이다. 업력별 경영성과를 보면, 장수기업이 신생기업보다 매출액은 2배 이상, 종업원 수는 3배, 자산은 2배, 영업이익은 2배 이상의 높은 성과를 보여주고 있어 국가경제 전반에 미치는 기여도가 상당함을 알 수 있다. 2008년부터 2020년까지 중소기업을 대상으로 SAS의 Stepwise 옵션을 활용하여 매출액과 종업원 수, 영업이익 등 변수 간 회귀분석을 통해 분석한 결과 비수도권이 수도권보다 종업원 수, 자산, 차입금, 임차료 등에서 좋은 성과를 보여주고 있다. 이는 장수기업이 지역경제활성화에 크게 기여있다는 정책적 함의도 나타나 장수기업의 기업승계 지원정책 마련이 필요하다.

가리왕산 일대 돌서렁에서의 일차천이 (Primary Succession on Talus Area at Mt. Kariwangsan, Korea)

  • Stages of vegetation development on talus area were studied to examine temporal changes in species composition and vegetation structure, and to elucidate the mechanism of early patch formation. While ground coverage of lichens, which may form substrate for moss colonization and mitigate the heat-stress on rocks, decreased gradully, coverage of mosses increased slightly during primary succession. Ecological role of mossess related with water retention in community may be very important not only at pioneer stage but also at later stages because of little soil development on this talus area. Species diversity and species richness increased during the early stages of succession. Parthenocis년 tricuspidata and Sorbaria sorbifolia var. stellipa dominated in liana stage, Ulmus davidiana for. suberosa and Lindera obtusiloba in shrub stage, and Fraxinus rhynchophylla and Actinidia arguta in subtree stage, however, was composed of mixed forest of several tree species. U. davidiana for. suberosa, L. obtusiloba, Securinega suffruticosa and Rhus chinensis were relatively important woody species in early patch forming process. The results, however, suggested that early establishment on talus area might be strongly associated with chance for safe-site because both pioneer species and later species could take part in early patch forming process.
