평해지역 온정화강암 중 미량원소와 광화작용의 관계에 대한 지화학적 연구 (A Geochemical Study on Trace Elements of the Onjong Granite in Relation to Mineralization, Pyeonghae Area)

  • The variations of certain major and trace elements of the Onjong granite mass was studied on the basis of petrological and geochemical characteristics and compared with those of the Eonyang-Yucheon granite masses in order to investigate the geochemical differences of the granitic rocks in relation to mineralization between Pb-Zn ore district and Pb-Zn-Mo-W ore district in Kyeongsang basin. The Onjong granite mass is classified into granodiorite and monzo-granite, and the Eonyang-Yucheon granite masses into monzo-granite by the Streckeisen's diagram. Between both granite masses there are clear differences in contents of certain major elements and lithophile trace elements. The former have high contents of Ca (2.94%), Mg (1.66%) and Sr (365 ppm), and low contents of K (3.52%), Na (3.51%), Rb (116 ppm), Ba (640 ppm) and Li (18.9 ppm), whereas the latter have high contents of K (4.02%), Na (4.28%), Rb (145 ppm), Ba (695 ppm) and Li (19.3 ppm), and low contents of Ca (1.42%), Mg (0.43%) and Sr (161 ppm). Except for Mo, there are not clear differences in chalcophile trace elements between two granite masses: the Onjong granite mass has higher Mo content (7.1 ppm) lnan that (1.7 ppm) of the Eonyang-Yucheon granite masses, but Pb and Zn contents are similar between the Onjong granite mass (Pb=8.7 ppm, Zn=37.1 ppm) and the Eonyang-Yucheon granite masses (Pb=7.8 ppm, Zn=39.8 ppm). Ca and Sr contents of the Onjong granite mass (Ca> 1.5%, Sr> 270 ppm) are higher than those of the Eonyang- Yucheon granite masses (Ca<1.5%, Sr<270ppm), and Rb/Sr, Rb-Rb/Sr and K-Rb/Sr ratios are clearly distinguishable between the Onjong granite mass(Rb/Sr<0.51, Rb-Rb/Sr>250 and K-Rb/Sr>5.2) and the Eonyang- Yucheon granite masses (Rb/Sr>0.51, Rb-Rb/Sr<250 and K-Rb/Sr<5.0). Thus, variations of certain major and trace elements and ratios are applicable as geochemical index to distinguish the types of mineralization of the ore districts related to the Cretaceous granitic rocks in the Kyeongsang basin.

  • $(Ba_{1-x}Sr_{0.4}Ca_x)TiO_{3}$ (x=0.10, 0.15, 0.20) powders were prepared by the sol-gel method and BSCT thick films were fabricated by the screen-printing method. Their structural and dielectric properties were investigated with variation of composition ratio and $Al_{2}O_{3}$ doping contents. As results of the X-ray diffraction and microstructure analysis, the grain size of BSCT thick films was decreased with increasing $Al_{2}O_{3}$ amount. The thickness of BSCT thick films by 4-coating/drying is about $110{\sim}120{\mu}m$. The tunability increased with decreasing Ca content, and the BSCT(50/40/10) specimen doped with 1.0wt% $Al_{2}O_{3}$ showed the highest value of 12.94% at 5kV /cm.

$Bi_2Sr_2CaCu_2O_{8+{\delta}}$ 단결정의 초전도 특성에 미치는 열처리 및 불순물의 영향 (Effects of annealing and impurities on the superconducting properties of$Bi_2Sr_2CaCu_2O_{8+{\delta}}$ single crystals)

  • Flux법에 의해 성장된 $Bi_2Sr_2CaCu_2O_{8+{\delta}}(Bi2212)$ 단결정의 초전도 특성에 미치는 열처리 및 불순물의 영향을 자화측정에 의해 조사하였다. 초전도 특성은 불순물인 Mg와 Al의 영향을 받음을 알 수 있었으며, 초전도 전이온도(T,) 는 Mg 불순물의 영향에 의해 보다 낮아졌다. 그러나 성장된 결정은 열처리에 의해 초전도 특성이 개선됨을 알 수 있었 으며, 특히 MgO 도가니 사용에 의해 성장된 결정이 $Al_2O_3$ 도가니에 비해서 반자계특성이 현저하게 증가되었다. 반자계 특성의 개선효과에 의해 Mg 불순물은 초전도 특성 열화의 주요 요소라고 생각될 수 없음을 알 수 있었다.

  • 고체전해질형 연료전지의 산소극 재료로서 페롭스카이트 구조를 갖는 $PrMnO_3$에 Ca과 Sr을 도핑시켜 도핑량에 따른 전기전도도, 산소환원과전압 등의 전기화학적 특성과, 전해질인 yttria stabilized zirconia와의 반응성 그리고 열 팽창률 등을 살펴 보았다. 합성된 페롭스카이트 분말은 대략 $2{\sim}5{\mu}m$의 평균입자 크기를 나타내었는데 이때 입자크기 및 비표면적은 도핑량과 무관하였다. Ca이 30mo1% 도핑되었을 때 전기전도도는 $1000^{\circ}C$에서 $266S{\cdot}cm^{-1}$로 가장 높은 값을 나타내었고, 분극을 통해 살펴 본 산소환원특성도 Ca이 30mol% 도핑되었을 때 가장 우수한 특성을 나타내었다. 전극물질과 전해질인 YSZ를 $1200^{\circ}C$에서 100시간 동안 반응시킨 결과 $PrMnO_3$에 Sr을 도핑시켰을 때보다 Ca을 도핑시킨 것이 반응성이 훨씬 약한 결과를 나타내었다. $Pr_{0.7}Ca_{0.3}MnO_3$의 열팽창계수는 $300{\sim}1000^{\circ}C$의 영역에서 $1.19{\times}10^{-5}K^{-1}$로 측정되었고 이 값은 YSZ의 열팽창계수 $1.15{\times}10^{-5}K^{-1}$과 유사한 값이었다.

BSCCO 초전도 선재의 미세조직 및 임계전류밀도에 미치는 공정변수 효과 (Effect of Processing Variables on Microstructure and Critical Current Density of BSCCO Superconductors Tape)

  • We evaluated the effect of processing variables on microstructural evolution interface irregularity between Ag sheath and superconductor core and resultant critical current density(J$_{c}$) of (Bi,Pb)$_2$Sr$_2$Ca$_2$Cu$_3$O$_{x}$(2223) superconductor tape. The value of J$_{c}$ was significantly influenced by the interface irregularity, degree of texturing and relative 2223 content. The interface became more irregular(sausage effect), while the degree of texturing gradually improved as the dimension of tape decreased during forming process. As the dimension of wire/tape were changed from diameter of 3.25 mm to thickness of 0.20 mm, J$_{c}$ value was observed to be increased by 10 times. In addition, optimum sintering temperature for improved J$_{c}$ was observed to be 835$^{\circ}C$ in a ambient atmosphere probably due to combined effect of both improved texturing and high 2223 content. Microstructural investigation showed the degree of texturing was degraded by the existence of both second phases and interface irregularity. It was observed that larger grain size and better texturing was developed near relatively flat interface compared to those inside superconducting core.ting core.

Cardiac hypertrophy and abnormal $Ca^{2+}$ handling in transgenic mice overexpressing jnnctate

  • Junctate is a newly identified integral ER/SR membrane $Ca^{2+}$ binding protein, which is an alternative splicing form of the same gene generating aspartyl $\square$-hydroxylase and junctin. To elucidate the functional role of junctate in heart, transgenic (TG) mice overexpressing mouse cardiac junctate-1 under the control of mouse $\square$$^{~}$ myosin heavy chain promoter were generated. Overexpression of junctate in mouse heart resulted in cardiac hypertrophy, increased fibrosis, bradycardia, arrhythmias and impaired contractility. Overexpression of junctate also led to down-regulation of SERCA2, calsequestrin, calreticulin and RyR, but to up-regulation of NCX and PMCA. The SR $Ca^{2+}$ content decreased and the L-type $Ca^{2+}$ current density and the action potential durations increased in TG cardiomyocytes, which could be the cause for the bradycardia in TG heart. The present work has provided an important example of pathogenesis leading to cardiac hypertrophy and arrhythmia, which was caused by impaired $Ca^{2+}$ handling by overexpression of junctate in heart.n heart.

Effects of Sb-Incorporation on the 2223 Phase in the Superconducting Bi-Pb-Sr-Ca-Cu-O System

  • Samples of ($Bi_{2-x}Sb_x)PbSr_2Ca_2Cu_3O_y$, compositions with x=0.0, 0.1, and 0.2 were prepared by solid-state reaction. The solubility of Sb into the 2223 phase is lower than 0.05 for the ratio of Sb/Bi. The lack of stability of the Sb-substituted $Bi_2O_2$ double layers is likely to cause the solubility low. There is no great dependence of lattice parameters on the Sb-content, and bonds around the square-pyramidal Cu atom are not affected by the $Sb^{3+}$ ion substituted. The superconducting transition temperature of this system is decreased gradually with increase of Sb, which is tentatively attributable to the perturbation of the Bi 6p-O 2p band and/or to the low volume fraction of the 2223 phase.

식물체 내에서 Strontium의 대사 : 밀(Triticum aestivum L.)의 발아과정중 Polyamine 생합성에 미치는 Strontium의 영향 (Strontium Metabolism in Higher Plants: Effect of Strontium of the Polyamine Biosynthesis during Germination of Wheat(Triticum aestivum L.))

  • 소맥 종자의 발아 과정중 strontium의 생리적 작용을 규명하기 위해 초엽, 종근 및 배유에서의 free amine의 함량변화가 측정되었다. $GA_3$를 포함한 배양액에 strontium 농도의 증가는 종근에서의 putrescine과 초엽에서의 spermidine의 축적을 현저히 유발하였다. $10\;{\mu}M$ 정도의 저농도에서도 strontium에 의한 putrescine 증가는 뚜렷한 반면, spermidine 증가는 10 mM의 고농도 처리에서 현저했다. 종근 생장을 억제하는 1mM 내지 10mM의 strontium 농도에서, g 생체중당 putrescine 수준은 동일농도 calcium 처리에서 보다 각각 22.4배와 15.3배 높았다. 특히 putrescine과 spermidine 증가에 의한 총 free amine 수준의 중가는 생체중 대비 뿐만이 아닌 RNA 함량 대비에서도 중요한 생리적 반응으로 보여졌다. Strontium과 대조적으로 고농도 calcium (10 mM) 처리는 초엽과 종근에서의 agmatine과 cadaverine 함량의 증가를 유발했다. Cadaverine은 calcium을 처리했을 경우에만 검출되었다. 그러나 $1\;{\mu}M$ 에서 1 mM 수준의 calcium 처리는 총 free amine 함량의 감소를 가져왔다. Strontium과 calcium 존재하에서의 발아과정중 축적되는 amine 종류의 차이와 총 free amine 중 diaminine 비율과 총 free amine 중 Polyamine 비율의 변화는 strontium과 calcium 간의 생리적 대사반응의 차이중 하나로 판단되었다.

  • The grain morphology, the changes in morphology and Jc with the thermo-mechanical treatment (TMT) history, the field dependence of Jc and the nature of intergranular bonding were studied in $T_{10.8}$$Pb_{.2}$$Bi_{0.2}$$Sr_{1.8}$$Ba_{0.2}$$Ca_{2.2}$$Cu_{3}$$O_{z}$/Ag tapes. As a result, incorporation of intermediate rolling during the final heat-treatment resulted in of plate-like TI-1223 grains, and thus enhanced Jc. Jc's near 2.5$\times$104 A/cm2 at 77 K and 0 T were obtained in just rolled tapes with an excellent reproducibility. The high Jc's seem to grain-connectivity easy recovery of excellent grain-connectivity during final heat-treatment after inter -mediate rolling, probably due to retarded T1 evaporation and excessive Ca content in the present composition. The strong field dependence of Jc even in low fields, however, indicated that there still existed significant weak-links and the degree of directional grain-alignment was far from the desired one. The intergranular binding in the tapes seemed to be mainly dominated by SIS junctions.

  • $(Ba_{0.6-x}Sr_{0.4}Ca_{x})TiO_{3}$ (x=0.10, 0.15, 0.20) ceramics were fabricated by the mixed-oxide method and their stuctural and dielectric properties were investigated with variation of composition ratio and an amount of $Al_{2}O_{3}$ (0.5, 1.0, 1.5. 2.0, 3.0 wt%) doping content. As a result of the X-ray diffraction BSCT specimens showed dense and homogeneous structure without presence of the second phase. The sintered density was decreased with increase an $Al_{2}O_{3}$ doping content. The Curie temperature and relative dielectric constant at room temperature were decreased with increasing an amount of $Al_{2}O_{3}$ doping content. The dielectric loss is minimum for BSCT doped with 1.5wt% $Al_{2}O_{3}$ content. The tunability was decreased with increasing an Ca content and is about 4.2% for BSCT(50/40/10) doped with 2.0wt% $Al_{2}O_{3}$ content.
