  • This study aimed to identify the relationship between moral distress and turnover intention among hospital nurses. The participants were 281 hospitals nurses. The moral distress scale and the turnover intention scale for nurses were used. Data were analyzed using SPSS/WIN 15.0 program. The mean score of moral distress was 3.08 and that of turnover intention was 5.09. Statistically significant differences were found in moral distress according to age (F = 5.87, p = .003), education level (F = 11.50, p < .001), nursing experience (F = 7.00, p <. 001) and department of duty (F = 3.81, p =. 005). Statistically significant differences were found in turnover intention according to age (F = 11.54, p <. 001) and nursing experience (F = 5.87, p = .001). Moral distress was positively correlated with turnover intention (r = .29, p < .001). The findings suggest that programs aimed at decreasing moral distress and turnover intention should be developed. Furthermore, future studies should explore variables that influence moral distress.

A convenience sample of 155 elderly women was recruited from two senior welfare centers and three nursing homes in J city. Data were collected from June 15 to July 15, 2010 through interviews using a structured questionnaire. Data were analyzed with descriptive statistics, independent t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and multiple linear regression using the SPSS WIN 18.0 program. The level of social support and anger was 3.73 and 2.72 out of 5, respectively. Anger was statistically significantly different according to type of residence (B=0.21, t=2.42, ${\rho}$=.017), psychiatric medication (B=0.66, t=4.93, ${\rho}$ <.001), physical medication (B=0.41, t=4.22, ${\rho}$ <.001), and evaluation support (B=-0.15, t=-3.00, ${\rho}$=.004), and these accounted 33.0% of anger. Providing proper information and developing social support program would be useful for managing anger of elderly women.

A survey was conducted 201 college students with self-report questionnaire in one university of Ulsan. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation, and linear multiple regression with SPSS/WIN(21.0). Factors affecting attitude toward homosexuality included gender, former middle${\cdot}$high schools. Attitude toward homosexuality had a negative correlation with gender role attitude. And gender and gender role attitude accounted for 31.0% of the variance in attitude toward homosexuality. The major factors influencing attitude toward homosexuality were gender and gender role attitude. The more males than females and the more traditional gender role attitude were more negative toward homosexuality. The author collected the source material by means of SPSS WIN. 21.0 Program, frequency analysis, technological statistic analysis, relative analysis, path analysis (for satisfaction), and sobel test, etc. The results of analysis are as follows: Firstly, the child abuse by their parents has had a significant negative maladjustment on the participants' life satisfaction level. Secondly, the peer attachments had an influence on partial mediatorial effect between the child abuse by their parents and adolescents' content(satisfied) lives. Lastly, the self-esteem had an influence on the complete mediatorial effect between the child abuse by their parents and the adolescents' happy lives. The author gave an improved counterplan for peer attachments and self-esteem. The author suggests following researchers to include the impact of versatile environmental factors on adolescents' life satisfaction level which was excluded in the present research.

  • The purpose of this study is to increase efficiency and accuracy in operation of CPR(Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) through comparing accuracy in CPR between group with verbal order and group with non-verbal order given carrying out CPR. This study performed convenience sampling targeting 62 students(31 people for group with non-verbal order, 31 people for group with verbal order) at university where is located in G Province. Survey period was carried out from October 7, 2010 to October 21. Analytical method was made by using SPSS WIN(Version 12.0). As a result of research, the group with non-verbal order was indicated to be higher in accuracy of CPR on artificial respiration and chest compression in several spheres than the group with verbal order. Based on this, the non-verbal order method needs to try to be applied to performing education and skills of CPR in the future. And, even a continuous research is needed on effectiveness between verbal order method and non-verbal order method in an emergency situation.
