College students living in university dormitory continuously experience unique physical and social living conditions, being away from their hometown and loving families. Most college students has engaged in a very limited social activities in dormitory area. Studies have shown that sense of community(SOC) is closely related to students' social activities. However, few research have examined the relationship between physical environment and sense of community. Therefore, this research aims to evaluate the effects of physical environment of dormitory on students' perceived sense of community and their social interaction. Extensive literature review found that developing social interaction and building a sense of student community improve students' overall residential satisfaction with dormitory and personal academic growth. Survey on A university dormitory and Chi square analysis (${\chi}^2$) indicated that each group's individual characteristics such as gender, grade, living period, and personality were statistically significant on the level of SOC at the level of p=.01. Individual analysis of SOC showed that sense of belonging was higher than shared emotional connection, which means certain level of intervention is needed. Pearson correlation analysis validated that there exists statistically significant relationship between physical environment and SOC. Further it also found that the most important predictor in facilitating social interaction were comfortable, quiet, and enough social space around the dormitory.

In contemporary Korean society, urban community environment is often associated with high-density and high-rise residences that make people's relationships superficial, instrumental and impersonal. Furthermore, urban community consistently interplays with neighboring residents and childhood emotional experience are influential on their unconscious images and attitude about their current neighborhood environment, while affecting the environmental attitude and the formation of community sense. Previous research found evidences that increased level of community sense is fostering more feeling of living in so-called "real neighborhood environment." This study aimed to cross-culturally examine what the respondents' emotional perception and their attitude were about the community environment in their childhood through environmental autobiography method and to examine the effects of the results on adults' formation of sense of community for their current community environment. Extensive literature review explored a few important theoretical framework which are closely related to sense of community (SOC) as a result of emotional experience: membership, influence, integration and fulfillment of needs, shared emotional connection and community satisfaction. Chi-square and GLM analysis revealed that there were no demographic, and socio-economic differences between two groups of Korean and US residents. Correlation analysis indicated that childhood emotional experience of Koreans and US citizens was statistically significant on sense of community for their current living community. Multi-regression analysis also found that the degree of influence were the main predictors for building strong sense of current community throughout a cross-cultural group. Furthermore, the relationship between various emotional experience of each factor in previous and current community environment were statistically significantly related. It is concluded that as the positive childhood experience of influence in their past community was going up, the level of sense of community for their current community was strengthened across their cross-cultural background.

대학기숙사는 재학생들의 다양한 기본적 욕구를 충족시키고 독특한 캠퍼스경험과 학업성취를 위해 중요한 역할을 하여왔다. 또한 학생 재학률 향상과 외국학생 유치를 위한 수용능력에 대한 수요가 커지고 있다. 학생들의 사회적 교류와 공동체 의식은 학업스트레스와 향수병을 경감하고 개인적 성장과 동년배 그룹의 사회문화 적응에 긍정적인 기회를 제공하는데 중요한 역할을 한다. 본 연구의 목적은 대학기숙사의 물리적 환경이 상이한 문화적 배경을 가진 학생들의 사회적 교류와 공동체 의식에 어떠한 영향을 미치는 가 조사하는데 있다. 교차분석은 개인적 배경에 따라 공동체의식에 대한 통계적으로 유의미한 차이가 존재하나 두 개의 문화적 그룹에는 별다른 영향이 없음을 밝혀내었다. 공동체의식 요소와 물리적 환경에 대한 만족도조사 분석에서 한국학생그룹은 전반적으로 미국학생그룹보다 비교적 높은 평균값을 나타내었다. 다중회귀분석에서는 미국학생들의 사회적 교류환경을 위해 쾌적한 냉난방과 같은 기능적 요소가 가장 중요한 것으로 분석된 반면, 한국학생그룹은 가족지향적인 환경이 제일 중요한 것으로 나타났다. 다중 회귀분석결과를 통한 선형분석은 물리적환경의 만족도가 높아감에 따라 공동체 의식 및 사회적 교류환경 정도가 높아짐을 확증하였다. 마지막으로 본 연구는 대학 기숙사 계획에서 기관의 기능보다는 가정적 환경에 역점이 두어야 함을 제안하고 있다.

본 연구의 목적은 대도시 거주 중고령자의 물리적 환경과 우울증상의 관계에 사회적 자본과 통합성의 매개효과가 존재하는지에 대해 탐색적으로 검증하는 것이다. 분석을 위해 서울시의 각 동주민센터와 노인복지시설 및 중고령층을 위한 교육시설을 방문하거나 이용한 중고령층을 대상으로 설문을 실시하였다. 총 331부의 설문이 회수되었고 주요변수에 대한 무응답 사례를 제외한 309부의 자료가 분석에 활용되었다. 물리적 환경의 직접 및 간접효과를 확인하기 위해 구조방정식 모형 분석을 실시하였다. 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 물리적 환경은 대도시에 거주하는 중고령층의 우울증상에 직접적인 영향을 주지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 물리적 환경은 통합성을 매개로 우울증상에 간접효과를 나타내었다. 즉 안전성, 쾌적성, 접근 편의성, 보행친화성과 같은 근린환경에 대한 주관적 만족도가 높은 사람은 통합성이 높고, 통합성이 높은 사람은 낮은 우울증상을 가질 것으로 예측되었다. 결과를 바탕으로 중고령층의 우울수준을 개선하기 위한 실천적 정책적 방안을 논의하였다.

코로나-19를 계기로 비대면 서비스를 선호하는 소비자가 많아지고 배달 앱 이용이 폭발적으로 증가하면서 새로운 배달 문화를 형성하고 있다. 한편, 민간배달 앱의 플랫폼 독점과 중개 수수료 인상 등의 사회적 문제가 등장하자 이를 해결하고자 2020년부터 많은 지자체에서는 공공배달 앱을 출시하고 있다. 그러나, 기존 민간배달 앱 사용에 익숙한 소비자는 거주하는 지역의 공공 배달 앱 존재를 인지하지 못하고 있으며 이용율이 낮은 편이다. 본 연구에서는 지역공동체의식과 서비스 품질(정보품질, 배달품질)이 공공배달 앱 이용 의도에 미치는 영향을 살펴보고자 한다. 연구결과 지역공동체의식과 정보품질은 공공배달 앱 이용태도에 유의한 영향을 주지만 배달품질은 유의한 영향을 주지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 공공배달 앱 이용태도는 공공배달 앱 이용의도에 유의한 영향을 주는 동시에 지역공동체의식, 정보품질과 공공배달 앱 이용의도의 관계에서 매개효과를 가지는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서, 공공배달 앱 활성화를 위해서는 홍보와 마케팅뿐만 아니라 지역공동체의식 강화 노력과 함께 정보품질 향상을 위한 상품 검색, 사용자 리뷰 조회 등 사용자 편의성 개선을 위한 노력도 필요함을 알 수 있었다.
