  • Smart healthcare is convergence of ICT and healthcare services, and interdisciplinary research has been actively conducted in various fields. The objective of this study is to investigate trends of smart healthcare research using topic modeling and ego network analysis. Text analysis, frequency analysis, topic modeling, word cloud, and ego network analysis were conducted for the abstracts of 2,690 articles in Scopus from 2001 to April 2018. Topic Modeling analysis resulted in eight topics, Topics included "AI in healthcare", "Smart hospital", "Healthcare platform", "Blockchain in healthcare", "Smart health data", "Mobile healthcare", " Wellness care", "Cognitive healthcare". In order to examine the topic modeling results core deeply, we analyzed word cloud and ego network analysis for eight topics. This study aims to identify trends in smart healthcare research and suggest implications for establishing future research direction.

  • The outbreak of covid-19 has brought the characteristics and advantages of non-contact services to increased prominence, and the development of smart hotels"has accelerated. This study aims to identify, categorize and define the smart service experience at different touch points of the customer experience. The concept and characteristics of the smart hotel were examined based on existing research and literature. An analytical framework was designed using smart experience factors and customer touch points of smart hotels. Selected Chinese smart hotels were then examined under this framework. The case analysis results show that the customer experience design of smart hotels has developed to different degrees, in terms of interactivity, personalization, accessibility, information and privacy security. Based on the above findings, this article suggests that the design of smart hotels should use integrated data to further enhance personalized service experience.

  • With the development of information and communication technology, smart devices, and COVID-19 pandemic, organizations and individuals using Smart Work are increasing. Constant connectivity has become commonplace while using smart devices such as smart phone and tablet PC, and based on this, workers can communicate and exchange data and information anytime, anywhere, resulting in increased job autonomy in determining method, time, and place to work. However, existing Smart Work research has the following limitations: the concept of job autonomy developed in the industrialization era of the 1970s is still used, job autonomy is verified in unidimensionality, and the paradoxical 'tied autonomy' in the context of Smart Work is not demonstrated. In order to overcome these limitations, this study examined the literature that demonstrated job autonomy in a Smart Work situation. Through literature research, this study suggested how previous studies have dealt with job autonomy in Smart Work context, how to develop the type of autonomy according to the Smart Work situation, and directions for future empirical research.

  • In this paper, we review recently emerging smart applications, and analyzed policy implications in light of digital convergence perspective. While extant literatures on smart applications mainly dealt with consumer behaviors based in technology acceptance model or innovation adoption, the research on digital management policy is rather limited. We intend to fill this research gap. As such, we first organize two categories of smart work and smart commerce, and investigate the representative service models, four service models were reviewed for each category respectively. Next, the three policy related constructs are extracted, which are QoL(Quality of Life), public impacts in both the positive and negative ways. Finally, empirical analysis following the Delphi principle was conducted to investigate the policy implications. The results offer useful insights for the further research in digital convergence related policy areas.

  • Damage caused by wild animals such as pheasants and magpies is a problem in rural areas. A bird repellent system based on sensing and repelling farm pest animals and birds is proposed herein. This system is equipped with a bird model part on a supporting platform and comprises a sound source generator, a system control user interface, and a sensor in the center. The sensor is composed of an illuminance sensor and a PIR sensor. The illuminance sensor distinguishes between day and night, whereas the PIR sensor detects birds or wild animals and outputs them from the sound generator. The entire system can be managed easily by the user interface and system control.
