뇌졸중 영향 척도 3.0의 신뢰도와 타당도 (Reliability and Validity of Stroke Impact Scale 3.0)

  • 이 연구의 목적은 Stroke Impact Scale 3.0(SIS 3.0)의 신뢰도와 타당도를 조사하는 것이었다. 연구에서 SIS 3.0은 125명의 뇌졸중 환자를 대상으로 측정하였다(평균 = 62.7, 표준 편차 = 9.43). SIS 3.0 하위 영역들 간에 상관 분석을 통해 구성타당도를 확인하였고, MBI(Modified Barthel Index)와 K-MMSE(Mini-Mental State Examination-Korean)간의 상관을 분석하여 수렴타당도를 조사하였다. 각 항목의 특성은 고전적 문항 이론을 바탕으로 내적 합치도와 문항 변별도를 분석하였다. 이 연구를 통해 SIS 3.0의 구성타당도와 수렴타당도가 확인되었다. 감정 영역에 포함된 i 항목은 문항 변별도가 낮았지만 이 항목을 제외하고는 모두 변별도가 높았다. 하위 영역의 문항내적합치도는 0.858~0.941로 나타났다. 이 연구는 지역사회에 거주하는 뇌졸중 환자를 대상으로 임상 현장에서 SIS 3.0 사용을 위한 신뢰도와 타당도를 확인하였다는데 그 의의가 있다.

Comparisons of Shoulder Muscle Activity and Muscle Activity Ratio during Serratus Anterior Exercise between CrossFit Practitioners with/without Shoulder Impingement Syndrome

  • Purpose: Due to the high incidence of shoulder injuries, including shoulder impingement syndrome (SIS), among CrossFit practitioners due to frequent overhead movements, serratus anterior exercises are considered crucial for scapular stabilization in both intervention and prevention. Objective: The objective of this study is to compare the muscle activity and ratios of scapular stabilizing and shoulder girdle muscles between individuals with and without SIS during serratus punch and wall slide exercises, both targeting the serratus anterior muscle, in CrossFit training practitioners. Methods: Surface electromyography was used to compare the muscle activity and activity ratio of scapular stabilizing muscles and shoulder muscles during serratus punch and wall slide exercises in two groups of 20 CrossFit practitioners: ten with SIS and ten without symptoms. Results: The group with SIS showed higher activation of the pectoralis major, upper trapezius, and a higher pectoralis major/serratus anterior and upper trapezius/serratus anterior muscle activation ratio during the serratus punch exercise compared to the group without SIS. Similarly, during the wall slide exercise, the group with SIS exhibited higher activation of the upper trapezius and a higher upper trapezius/serratus anterior muscle activation ratio compared to the group without SIS. However, no significant difference in serratus anterior muscle activation was observed between the two groups. Conclusions: This study highlights the higher activation of the pectoralis major and upper trapezius muscles in CrossFit practitioners with SIS during the serratus anterior exercise, suggesting the importance of minimizing the overactivation of these muscles to prevent impingement syndrome in this population.

THE DEVELOPMENT OF A LOW NOISE 230 GHZ SIS RECEIVER IN NAGOYA UNIVERSITY

  • A 230 GHz SIS tunnel junction receiver has been being developed for radio astronomy in Nagoya University. In this heterodyne receiver, we use a $\~$1/3 reduced hight rectangular waveguide SIS mixer with two tuning elements as front end. The mixer block with SIS junction was cooled to 4K with a closed cycle He-gas refrigerator. So far, a double sideband receiver noise temperature lower than l00K in 222-237 GHz is obtained. The receiver exhibits a best DSB noise temperature of 69K at 236 GHz as well as 228 GHz.

Application of porcine small intestinal submucosa (Vetrix BioSIS®) for recurrent corneal sequestrum in an American shorthair cat

  • A 15-year-old, spayed, female American shorthair cat presented with recurrent corneal sequestrum in the right eye. The cat had undergone superficial keratectomy twice for corneal sequestrum treatment 5 and 11 months previously. Two layers of porcine small intestinal submucosa (SIS; Vetrix BioSIS®) were applied to the surgical corneal defect after keratectomy. Thereafter, clinical signs, such as lacrimation, blepharospasm, and corneal ulcer, disappeared 50 days postoperatively. Moreover, the application of SIS with keratectomy prevented recurrence until 651 days after surgery. SIS could be applied as an additional bioscaffold for surgical repair of corneal sequestrum recurring after superficial keratectomy alone in cats.

리빙 음이온 중합법에 의한 SIS Triblock 공중합체의 제조 및 유류 고형화 특성 (Synthesis of SIS Triblock Copolymer by Living Anionic Polymerization and Its Oil Gelling Capacity)

  • SIS triblock copolymers, one of the major raw materials of oil gelling agent, were synthesized by living anionic polymerization and the resultant copolymers formed with various shapes and sizes were used to examine their oil gelling capacities. Coupling method was adapted to form final triblock products from diblock living polymers. Prior to polymerization, the impurities in monomers and solvents were throughly removed by killing technique. We experimentally investigated the effects of operating parameters of synthesis and forming of SIS triblock copolymers on oil gelling capacity. The photocatalytic decomposition of SIS triblock copolymer under ultraviolet circumstance was also investigated and it is found that the addition of P-25 enhances the photocatalytic decomposition.

뇌졸중 환자의 일상적인 신체적 기능과 삶의 질 수준 (Daily Physical Functioning and Quality of life for Stroke)

  • Purpose: It remains controversial for the effect of daily functioning and quality of life on therapeutic exercise after stroke. The purpose of this study was to describe the effects on daily functioning and QOL. Methods: Outcome measures of daily functioning included, such as the Functional Independence Measure (FIM), Barthel index. Outcome measures of QOL included, such as Stroke Impact Scale(SIS) and the Medical Outcomes Study short-form 36-item questionnaire(SF-36). Results: 125 stroke patients were recruited, who were in or outpatients. The average age was 55.4 years. 64.8% were male. The mean Bathel index and FIM score was 63.7 and 87.5. The mean SIS score were higher in communication and mean SF-36 score were higher in physical pain. In/out patients are associated with SIS (communication, emotion) and SF-36(social function, energy or fatigue). Sex are associated with SF-36 (physical function). Other disease state are associated with SIS(hand function) and SF-36 (physical function). Paralysis portion are associated with SIS(communication, daily activity). Barthel index are associated with SIS(communication, mobility) and SF-36(social function, physical function, role limits due to emotional problems). Conclusion: These findings may provide the useful with rehabilitation professionals, who specilalized in the importance of QOL in designing treatment modalities.

A NEXT GENERATION MULTI-BEAM FOCAL PLANE ARRAY RECEIVER OF TRAO FOR 86-115 GHZ BAND

  • The noise temperature of existing millimeter-wave receivers is already within two or three times quantum noise limit. One of practical ways to increase the observation speed of single dish radio telescope without longer integration time is use of multi-beam focal plane array receiver as demonstrated in several large single dish radio telescopes. In this context the TRAO (Taeduk Radio Astronomy Observatory), which operates a 143n Cassegrain radio telescope, is planning to develop a 4 x 4 beams focal plane array SIS receiver system for 86-115 GHz band. Even though millimeter-wave HEMT LNA-based receivers approach the noise temperature comparable to the SIS receiver at W-band, it is believed that the receiver based on SIS mixer seems to offer a bit more advantages. The critical part of the multi-beam array receiver will be sideband separating SIS mixers. Employing such a type of SIS mixer makes it possible to simplify the quasi-optics of receiver. Otherwise, an SSB filter should be used in front of the mixer or some sophisticated post-processing of observation data is needed. In this paper we will present a preliminary design concept and components needed for the development of a new 3 mm band multi-beam focal plane array receiver.

폴리머 아스팔트의 유제 부착성능 및 혼합물 변형강도에 관한 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study on the Binder Adhesion Performance and Mixture Deformation Strength of Polymer Asphalt)

  • 연구목적: 영하의 조건에서도 균열발생을 억제하고, 구조적으로 안정된 성능과 방수기능을 동시에 발휘하는 아스팔트 포장시스템을 개발하고자 한다. 연구방법: SIS 폴리머 아스팔트, 일반 아스팔트 및 구스아스팔트를 대상으로 다양한 온도조건에 따른 유제의 부착실험 및 혼합물의 변형강도 실험을 실시하여 그 특성을 비교, 분석하였다. 연구결과: 아스팔트 유제의 부착강도는 SIS 폴리머 아스팔트가 일반 아스팔트 및 구스아스팔트에 비해 높은 것으로 나타났다. 아스팔트 혼합물의 변형강도는 SIS 폴리머 아스팔트와 일반 아스팔트가 거의 동일하게 나타났다. SIS 폴리머 아스팔트 혼합물은 일반 아스팔트 혼합물 및 구스아스팔트 혼합물에 비해 에너지흡수량이 상대적으로 높게 나타났다. 결론: SIS 폴리머 아스팔트 혼합물의 최대하중은 구스아스팔트 혼합물에 비해 낮게 나타났지만, 열악한 온도조건에서도 최대하중 이후에 안정적인 하중감소로 충분한 에너지흡수량을 확보하고 있고, 안정적인 파괴거동으로 미세균열 발생 등을 감소시켜 아스팔트 포장의 내구성 향상에 기여할 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

  • In recent years, the companies of electric power equipment for MV and HV classes trend to develop the eco-friendly insulated(solid, eco-gas, air etc.) switchgear which replaces existent SF6 gas insulated switchgear due to environmental problems such as global warming and so on. This paper makes reference to the newly developed Solid Insulated Switchgear (SIS) which uses the eco-friendly material such as epoxy for insulation. The insulation of the solid insulated switchgear (SIS) is composed of an epoxy, vacuum and air. The solid insulated switchgear (SIS) is a slate of the art product. The advantages of SIS are advanced reliability, economical efficiency, safety, maintenance free, reduction of installation area and the protection of environment. The solid insulated switchgear (SIS) is FE Analyzed such as electromagnetic, mechanical, thermal and fluid in order to find the optimal design. Thens SIS has been verified by international standard test. (IEC 62271 - 100 and so on.) As a result of this, the solid insulated switchgear (SIS) has been estimated as an alternative for eco-friendly MV class switchgear.
