본 연구에서는 해안지역 대수층에서 담수와 해수의 흐름을 개략적으로 모의하는 경계면(sharp-interface)모델이 관정규모의 지하수 흐름 문제에도 적용될 수 있는 지 조사하였다. 해안 지역에서 지하수를 개발할 때 고려해야하는 중요한 인자 중의 하나는 해수침투이다. 관정규모의 지하수흐름 문제에서 해수침투 여부를 평가하기 위해서는 양수관정의 염분도를 모의할 수 있어야한다. 경계면 모델의 양수관정 염도 모의 능력을 검증하기 위하여 소규모 모래상자 수리모형실험을 수행하고 경계면모델의 모의능력을 평가하였다. 여러 가지 실험에서 측정된 관정의 염분도는 0%에서 12%의 범위를 보였으며 모의된 염분도는 측정치를 잘 나타내었다.

Background: The phrase "Nine Needles" refers to the 9 types of acupuncture needles describing their shapes, sizes, and uses in Huangdi's Internal Classic Ling-shu. The aim of this study was to present 3D illustrations of the "Nine Types of Needles" based on Huangdi's Internal classic Ling-shu, taking into consideration the conformation and application of the Nine Needles. Methods: Sketches of the "Nine Needles" were based on references to those needles cited in Huangdi's Internal Classic Ling-shu, the Great Compendium of Acupuncture and Moxibustion, and the Golden Mirror of Medicine. The computer programs Creo 3.0, Keyshot 5, Adobe Photoshop CS5, and Adobe Illustrator CS5 were used for 3D modelling and visualization. Results: Based on a review of Huangdi's Internal Classic Ling-shu, illustrations of the Spade needle, Round-Pointed needle, Pressure needle, Sharp-Edged needle, Sword-Shaped needle, Round-Sharp needle, Fine needle, Long needle, and Large needle, 3D models were created. The Spade needle had a sharp, large head, the Round-Pointed needle had an egg-shaped tip, and the Pressure needle had a blunt head like a grain of millet. The Sharp-Edged needle had a sharp blade with a triangular edge for bloodletting. The Sword-Shaped needle resembled a sword. The Round-Sharp needle resembled a horse's tail. The Fine needle and the Long needle had sharp points and thin bodies. The Large needle had a cylindrical shaft and rounded tip. Conclusion: This study demonstrated that 3D illustrations could be generated for the Nine Needles according to the descriptions and figures provided in the ancient literature.

The purpose of this paper is to analyze the organizational design and management of product development in creating new product architecture by an established firm. For the purpose, the paper put up the organizational design in the process of PDA(Personal Digital Assistant) development of Sharp and Casio which were Japanese major PDA firms in 1990s. PDA is the product born through architectural change from Electronic Organizer. Prior research on the product architecture change and organizational adaptation emphasized that an established firm is difficult to adapt to new product architecture due to the restriction of prior technology or organizational inertia. For overcoming these problems and successful development of new product architecture, organizational design and management in the process of product development becomes essential. In case of Sharp, corporate development project team had been used to overcome the restrictions from architectural knowledge accumulated through previous product. After launching first new PDA by corporate development project team, Sharp created a new division and pushed an evolution of PDA, when new PDA market start to grow up rapidly toward a major market segmentation. As a result, Sharp was able to build up stable PDA project trajectory. However, Casio was late for three years in launching of new PDA architecture because previous division charging of Electronic Organizer tried to develop first new PDA. Casio's PDA development was prohibited by engineers of previous division because new PDA architecture was inferior on user interface and display definition. That is, Casio's first PDA development was restricted by architectural knowledge of previous product.

초음속 유동장 내에 돌출된 핀에 의해 발생하는 바닥면의 열전달 특성 변화 연구를 수행하였다. 마하수가 3이고, 레이놀즈수가 $5{\times}10^7$인 초음속 유동내에 받음각이 $12.5^{\circ}$부터 $20^{\circ}$인 기울어지지 않은 형태의 선단이 날카로운 핀(sharp fin)을 돌출시켜 충격파를 발생시켰다. 이로 인해 생기는 바닥면의 열전달 계수의 변화를 적외선 카메라를 이용한 온도 분포의 측정을 이용하여 계산하였다. 또한 바닥면 유동의 흐름을 파악하기 위해 수치해석과 유막법이 수행되었다.

In this paper, we first will show that for any space X and any Wallman sublattice $\mathcal{A}$ of $\mathcal{R}(X)$ with $Z(X)^{\sharp}{\subseteq}\mathcal{A}$, (${\Phi}^{-1}_{\mathcal{A}}(X)$, ${\Phi}_{\mathcal{A}}$) is the minimal quasi-F cover of X if and only if (${\Phi}^{-1}_{\mathcal{A}}(X)$, ${\Phi}_{\mathcal{A}}$) is a quasi-F cover of X and $\mathcal{A}{\subseteq}\mathcal{Q}_X$. Using this, if X is a locally weakly Lindel$\ddot{o}$f space, the set {$\mathcal{A}|\mathcal{A}$ is a Wallman sublattice of $\mathcal{R}(X)$ with $Z(X)^{\sharp}{\subseteq}\mathcal{A}$ and ${\Phi}^{-1}_{\mathcal{A}}(X)$ is the minimal quasi-F cover of X}, when partially ordered by inclusion, has the minimal element $Z(X)^{\sharp}$ and the maximal element $\mathcal{Q}_X$. Finally, we will show that any Wallman sublattice $\mathcal{A}$ of $\mathcal{R}(X)$ with $Z(X)^{\sharp}{\subseteq}\mathcal{A}{\subseteq}\mathcal{Q}_X$, ${\Phi}_{\mathcal{A}_X}:{\Phi}^{-1}_{\mathcal{A}}(X){\rightarrow}X$ is $z^{\sharp}$-irreducible if and only if $\mathcal{A}=\mathcal{Q}_X$.

This paper employs computational tools to investigate the cause of resistance reductions in calm water and waves of the sharp bow form compared to the blunt bow in 66,000 DWT bulk carriers. A more slender shape at the fore-shoulder without a bulbous bow is a prominent feature of the sharp bow. The blunt bow incorporates a bulbous shape. A two-phase unsteady Reynolds averaged Navier-Stokes equations have been solved; and a realizable k-ε model has been applied for the turbulent closure. The free-surface is obtained by solving a VOF equation. The computational results have been validated with model tests carried out at a towing tank. The pressure component of resistance in the sharp bow is reduced by 8.9% in calm water, and 6.4-12.7% in regular head waves. The frictional components of resistance in the sharp and blunt bows are largely the same.

In this paper, we establish a sharp condition of global existence for the solution of the Gross-Pitaevskii equation with an angular momentum rotational term. This condition is related to the ground state solution of some steady-state nonlinear Schrodinger equation.

In the present paper, we introduce the subclasses 𝔅_1Σ(𝜇), B_1Σ(𝜇, 𝛾) and U_Σ(𝜇, 𝛾) of bi-univalent Bazilevič functions which are defined in the open unit disk 𝔻. Further, we obtain sharp estimates on initial coefficients a₂, a₃, a₄ and also sharp estimate on the Fekete-Szegö functional a₃ - ka²₂ for the functions belong to these subclasses.
