This paper presents the need for the concept of collective intelligence based system for the timely learning and incorrect notes show the utilization and satisfaction. The old wrong answer note system is characterized by the provision of uniform right answer explanations for the questions whose answers were wrong by checking whether the evaluation items were answered right or wrong. The characteristic requires a lot of improvements in terms of wrong answer analysis and feedback since it cannot properly receive feedback on the items that a learner got right by luck in spite of poor understanding of them and on the errors in the selection process of wrong answers by individual learners. The SERO wrong answer note was designed to propose new ways to identify and capture such "score errors" and compensate for the practical weaknesses of learners. The Stability Emergency Risk Opportunity (SERO) wrong answer note is based on a method of categorizing and analyzing evaluation items answered by the examinee into four types (S, E, R and O type), and commentary correct as well as incorrect answers by presenting a variety of commentary notes using the collective intelligence of the study show that satisfaction is high.
This survey was performed to investigate the seroprevalence of antibodies to Brucella canis in dogs from public animal shelters and breeding kennels in Incheon. A total of 402 dogs selected randomly were tested serologically by using immunochromatographic antibody test kit. None of 289 dogs in public animal shelters were sero-positive and 10 (8.9%) of 113 dogs in breeding kennels were sero-positive. 5 (4.4%) strains of Brucella canis were isolated from 10 sero-positive dogs' blood. Antimicrobial susceptibility test was carried out by Disk diffusion method. They were susceptible to tetracyclines, quinolones, aminoglycosides and combination amoxicillin with clavulanic acid.
Wild raccoon dogs (Nyctereutes procyonoides koreensis) may play a role transmitting several pathogens to humans and pet animals. Information concerning the incidence of rabies, canine distemper virus (CDV), canine parvovirus (CPV), canine adenovirus type 2 (CAdV-2), canine parainfluenza virus type 5 (CPIV-5), and canine herpesvirus (CHV) is needed in wild raccoon dogs. In total, 62 brain samples of raccoon dogs were examined for rabies virus (RABV) and CDV, and 49 lung samples were screened for CDV, CAdV-2, CPIV-5, and CHV. No RABV, CAdV-2, CPIV-5, or CHV was identified, but nine CDV antigens (8.1%, 9/111) were detected. Moreover, 174 serum samples from wild raccoon dogs were screened for antibodies against the five major viral pathogens. The overall sero-surveillance against CDV, CPV, CAdV-2, CPIV-5, and CHV in wild raccoon dogs was 60.3%, 52.9%, 59.8%, 23.6%, and 10.3%, respectively. Comparisons of the sero-surveillance of the five pathogens showed that raccoon dogs of Gyeonggi province have slightly higher sero-positive rates against CDV, CPV, and CHV than those of Gangwon province. These results indicate high incidences of CDV, CPV, and CAdV-2 in wild raccoon dogs of two Korean provinces and a latent risk of pathogen transmission to companion and domestic animals.
Purpose: The study aimed at monitoring the immune status of health care workers (HCWs) of a tertiary hospital after accidental exposure to Hepatitis B virus (HBV). Methods: Between January 2004 and December 2006, 353 cases of exposure to Hepatitis B virus were reported. The HBV-exposed HCWs were required to undergo follow-up serum tests to analyze their immune status one year after the exposure. The obtained data were then analyzed to determine the incidence of exposure and of sero-conversion. Results: In this hospital, an average of 9.8 cases of Hepatitis B exposure among HCWs was reported in a month. Follow-up tests conducted after exposure revealed that 90.4% of the HBV-exposed HCWs were positive for Hepatitis B antibody and 66.9% of the HBV-exposed HCWs were reported to have antibody levels exceeding 10 mIU/mL. Results of serum tests for the HBV antigen conducted one year after exposure were negative for all the exposed HCWs. Conclusion: Among the 79.6% of the HCWs who underwent serum tests one year after exposure the HBV sero-conversion rate was 0.0%. However, a further investigation in the form of long-term and multi-center studies is required to confirm this result. Furthermore, an active system should be established to ensure that all exposed HCWs undergo follow-up serum tests.
Background : In April 6, 1990, a male researcher who has worked at a research unit at the Basic Research Building of Seoul National University(SNU) College of Medicine admitted to SNU Hospital due to persistent fever. He was diagnosed serologically as hemorrhagic fever with renal syndrome(HFRS). Another female researcher in the same unit was also diagnosed as HFRS at the same hospital several days later. Epidemic investigation of HFRS was conducted to determine the magnitude of the problems since these two cases were strongly suspected to have laboratory-acquired infections of HFRS. Methods : All researchers and employees working at the Basic Research Building(BRB) of SNU College of Medicine as of April 1, 1996 were recruited for the study, information on symptoms of HFRS and history of contact to experimental animals were collected by self-administered questionnaires and serological tests among study subjects were also conducted by indirect immunofluorescent antibody(IFA) to hantavirus. The experimental animals were also serologically tested for infection with hantavirus by IFA. Results : Among 218 surveyed, six researchers and an animal caretaker had hantavirus antibodies above 1:20 in IFA titer. Five of seven sero-positive subjects had antibodies above 1:640 in IFA titer and had shown clinical symptoms compatible to HFRS during Jan. 1 to Apr, 20, 1996. The sero-positive persons had handled animals more frequently than sero-negative persons (OR, 19,68; 95% Cl, 1.11-350.40) and handling animals at the animal quarter at School of Public Health(SPH) had shown consistently higher risk to get infected with hantavirus irrespective of types of animals handled (OR, 4.90-6.37). Sero-positivity of rats of the aniamal quarter at BRB was 30-60%, whereas 80% of rats at SPH tested were shown sero-positivity. Conclusion: There was a epidemic of HFRS in research units of a medical school during the period from Jan. through Apr, Further investigation is needed to determine the extent and the mode of transmission of the laboratory-acquired infection with hantavirus in other research facilities.
As a baseline study for the establishment of bovine leukemia virus(BLV)-free herd in Korea, the prevalence of anti-BLV antibody was determined in the present study. Sera from Korean native cows of 8 provinces and from dairy cattle of 9 provinces were subjected to enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. Anti-BLV antibodies were positive in two (0.14%) of 1,413 Korean native cows. In contrast. 54.2% of 2,415 dairy cows were positive for anti-BLV antibodies, and their seropositive herd rate was 86.8%. And no differences were found in the sero-positive rates with age. The results indicate that the BLV infection rate has been increased continuously in Korea and that the establishment of BLV-free herd is imminent.

This paper deals with the human-interactive actions of a quadruped robot by using Genetic Algorithm. In case we have to work out the designed plan under the special environments, our robot will be required to have walking capability, and patterns with legs, which are designed like gaits of insect, dog and human. Our quadruped robot (called SERO) is capable of not only the basic actions operated with sensors and actuators but also the various advanced actions including walking trajectories, which are generated by Genetic Algorithm. In this paper, the body and the controller structures are proposed and kinematics analysis are performed. All of the suggested motions of SERO are generated by PC simulation and implemented in real environment successfully.
This paper deals with the design and the realization of a small humanoid robot, which is called SERO_VI. The design concept and the mechanical structure including kinematics for the robot are presented. The humanoid robot consisted of 25 DOF with legs 12 DOF, arms 8 DOF, waists 3 DOF and heads 2 DOF for the purpose of vision system. The controller structure was also suggested such as modular joint actuators, DSP interface and their communication method. Simple experiment was done and its validness was investigated in order to verify the kinematic result.

Sixty eight wild rats, Rattus norvegicus, were caught from Seoul city, Kyonggi, Kangwon, Cholla, and Kyongsang-provinces. All sera collected from rats were examined by immunofluorescent test to find antibody against murine typhus. The antibody prevalance to murine typhus was 4.4%(3/68). Sero-positive rate was 12.5%(2/16) in Kyonggi province and 12.5%(1/8) in Cholla province. The sero-positive rate difference between sexes of rats was not recognized. Three Rattus norvegicus having antibody to murine typhus were morphologically classified as subadult with 8.3%(1/12), middle-aged adult with 5.9%(1/17), and old adult with 4.8%(1/21), respectively.
Eleven shrews were caught from three areas of Korea. All of them were confirmed in the same species, Crocidura lasiura. All of sera from wild shrews were examined by indirect immunofluorescent test against Hantaan-related virus. The antibody to Hantaan-related virus was detected by 2 out of 11 shrews. Just 2 of 7 shrews from BG area were sero-positive for Hantaan-related virus antigen and none from other. All of sero-positive for Hantaan-related virus antigen belonged to male with antibody titer of 1:40 to 1:80. Two Hantaan-related viruses were isolated in vivo and in vitro.
