Machine-Learning Based on Relevance Feedback: A Powerful Engine to Enhance the Performance of SDI System (기계학습 기반 피드백 과정을 통한 SDI 시스템의 성능향상에 관한 연구)

  • As the Internet facilitates the rapid increase of information availability, the study on SDI service that provides users with relevant document in a timely manner has been developed. However, the practical use of this service has been low. This thesis aims at analyzing the reasons for this and developing relevance feedback based SDI system to improve the performance of the existing SDI system. Experimental systems that are developed for this study are SDI system based on users' minimum intervention feedback, SDI system based on perfect automation feedback, and SDI system based on users' maximum intervention feedback. The fourth system that utilizes the traditional SDI system is also studied to evaluate the level of performance improvement of the newly developed three types of SDI system. As a result of this study, SDI system based on users' maximum intervention feedback showed greatest performance improvement. The next performance improvement happened in order of SDI system based on perfect automation feedback, SDI system based on users' minimum intervention feedback, and the traditional SDI system. Feedback based systems showed greater performance improvement as they went through more feedback processes.

HD-CCTV System Design with Extended Transmission Distance using Digital Modulation (디지털 변조를 적용하여 전송거리가 확장된 HD-CCTV 시스템 설계)

  • In this paper, a digital closed-circuit television (CCTV) transmission system called the extended reach high definition serial digital interface (ER-SDI) is proposed to increase the transmission distance while preserving the quality using digital modulation. The current standard of HD-serial digital interface (HD-SDI) has the maximum transmission distance of 200 m. Recently, one system which transforms the digital signal to an analog signal and modulates color signal to extend the transmission distance is proposed. Another system which uses IP network is also proposed. However, the former system has a disadvantage of video quality and the latter system has high latency. The proposed ER-SDI is designed to extend the transmission distance of 518 m by adopting multilevel constellations and a channel code for a data rate of 1.485 Gbps. The maximum transmission distance of the proposed system is calculated using the specification of HD-SDI and the experiment result under coaxial cable environment.

  • The SDI technology can transmit video, audio and control data with a coaxial cable. The compatibility of HD-SDI Camera is very important. The SDI devices and products without compliance problem are able to guarantee interaction. The HDcctv Alliance has released the standard by classifying the attributes of the SDI devices and products. It is important for each SDI devices and products to keep the compatibility of this standard. In this paper, the camera system that comply with the HDcctv Standard was implemented. In order to receive certification of HDcctv Alliance, the experiment was performed and the satisfied result was gained.

  • As commercialization of the Internet has brought flood of information and the proportion of electronic source in the library collection has been gradually increasing, it is highly important for the library to quickly obtain and utilize the latest information. SDI service is expected to fulfill the needs providing the latest information swiftly and accurately to the digital library users. This study seeks to analyze the current standing of practical application of the SDI service in the universities of South Korea based on surveys and make a proposal on the advancement and extension of the SDI service.

  • 디지털 정보환경 하에서는 이용자가 정보를 찾아오기 기다리기 보다는 이용자를 찾아가 수요를 창출하고, 이용자의 취향에 맞춘 정보제공이 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 연구장비정보의 효율적인 정보제공을 위해 푸시(push)와 풀(pull) 서비스를 통합한 맞춤정보 서비스 모델을 제시하고, RSS(Really Simple Syndication) 2.0과 Dublin Core Metadata Element Set 1.1을 참고하여 연구장비정보의 RSS-XML 메타데이터를 설계한 후, 풀(pull) 형태의 선택적 정보제공(SDI)시스템을 구현하여 이를 적용하였다.

  • 본 논문에서는 태양광 및 리튬 이온 배터리를 에너지원으로 하는 계통 연계 시스템을 효과적으로 구성하기 위해 스위치 손실을 그 기준으로 삼았다. 따라서, 두 가지 종류의 회로구성에 대해 손실 예측 비교를 사용하였다. 전력 반도체의 스위칭 손실 및 도통시 전류, 전압 관계를 모델링 하였고 시물레이션을 이용해 손실 예측을 하였다.

  • 이 연구에서는 아날로그 기반의 고화질 전송 시스템(HD Analog system)에 관하여 고찰하였다. 오늘날 영상감시시스템은 고해상도 적용을 위한 기술개발을 통해 고품질의 영상을 구현할 수 있는 HD-SDI나 Network camera로 전환되고 있다. 그러나 Network camera는 기존 시스템과의 현격한 구성 차이로 전체 시스템을 다시 구축해야 하고, HD-SDI는 저가형 케이블 등에서는 만족할 만한 성능이 보장되지 않았다. 이러한 배경에서 등장한 것이 HD Analog system이다. HD Analog system은 기존 동축케이블을 이용할 수 있으며 저가형 케이블에서도 최대 500m 이상 전송이 가능하고, 구축비용을 절감할 수 있는 장점이 있다. 그러나 제조사별 시스템의 호환 문제 등을 해소하기 위한 표준화는 HD Analog system의 성장을 위한 선결과제로 제기된다.

  • 일반적으로 UHD 방송 편집 시스템에서 UHD 영상의 데이터양이 막대하기 때문에 실시간 전송을 위해 코덱과 함께 압축하여 편집 서버로 혹은 편집 서버로부터 스트림 형태로 전송한다. BT.1120 형태로 전송 송출된 SDI (Serial Digital Interface) 내장 음향 데이터는 영상과 달리 보조 데이터 영역에 다른 메타 데이터들과 함께 합성되어 전송 송출되기 때문에 추출 및 합성이 상대적으로 어렵다. 특히 재생을 위해서는 영상 코덱으로부터의 출력 영상과의 동기를 고려해야 하고 음향 데이터를 BT.1120 표준에 맞춰 보조 데이터 영역에 합성해야하기 때문에 개발에 어려움이 있다. 이에 본 논문은 UHD 영상/음향 데이터의 실시간 획득/재생 시스템에서의 SDI 내장 음향 데이터의 추출 및 합성을 위한 FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array) 기반 하드웨어 플랫폼을 제안하였다. 또한, 이를 위한 음향 데이터 추출 로직과 합성 로직을 HDL(Hardware Design Language) 설계하여 FPGA 내에 탑재하고 카메라/디스플레이/편집 서버와 통합하였다. 시험 결과 4K 60fps 데이터에서 정상적으로 영상과 음향을 분리/획득 및 합성/재생하였다.

  • As we are getting to deal with more applications that generate streaming data such as sensor network, monitoring, and SDI (selective dissemination of information), active research is being conducted to support efficient processing of queries over streaming data. The applications on the Web environment like SDI, among others, require query processing over streaming XML data, and its investigation is very important because XML has been established as the standard for data exchange on the Web. One of the major problems with the previous systems that support query processing over streaming XML data is that they cannot deal adaptively with dynamically changing stream because they rely on static query plans. On the other hand, the stream query processing systems based on relational data model have achieved adaptiveness in query processing due to query operator routing. In this paper, we propose a system of adaptive query processing over streaming XML data in which the model of adaptive query processing over streaming relational data is applied. We compare our system with YFiiter, one of the representative systems that provide XML stream query processing capability, to show efficiency of our system.

  • With SDI service provided in libraries and information centers traditionally, this paper studies component technologies and structure of system platform in PIS(personalization information service based on the customized information service served currently in some institutions. The PIS system should provide relevant information as an output through the learning system analyzing user information searching behavior as an input value with personal profile information. To do it, this paper studies requirements and algorithms to develop PIS, and proposes learning system and recommendation system as core components in PIS.
