모바일기기를 위한 소프트키보드 인터페이스 디자인 (Soft Keyboard Interface Design for Mobile Device)

  • 최근 유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅 환경이 점차 보급되면서 모바일 기기는 인간과 주변 환경간의 인터페이스 기기로서, 사용자와 정보를 주고받는 휴대용 단말기의 역할을 하고 있습니다. PDA(Personal Digital Assistants)나 스마트 폰과 같은 모바일 컴퓨터들은 우리 일상생활에서 점차 확대되어가고 있고, 이를 통해서 좀 더 많은 양의 데이터들을 입력하고자 하는 요구는 점점 늘어가고 있는 추세이다. 그러나, 보다 빠르고 많은 양의 문자 입력이 용이하게 설계되어진 이러한 alternative Soft-keyboard system들은 입력방식과 사용법이 큰 차이를 보이고 있고 더욱이 이러한 키보드들의 사용성이 충분히 검증되어 있지 않기 때문에 사용자들에게 많은 불편을 주고 있다. 본 논문은 한글 소프트 키보드의 GUI(Graphic User Interface)를 개선하기 위해 설문조사와 사용성 테스트를 통해 가이드라인을 제시하고자 하였고, 그 결과로 입력속도 향상과 GUI(Graphic User Interface) 개선을 위한 5개의 가이드라인을 도출하였다. 첫 번째로 QWERTY 키보드와의 유사성(familiarity), 그룹화 된 자판배열 보다는 독립된 키를 사용, 화면 내에서의 예상단어의 위치 고려, 즉각적 피드백(Prompt Feedback), 마지막으로 최적화된 키보드 사이즈의 고려이다.

우리나라 성인의 음주행태와 비치명적 손상의 연관성 (Drinking Pattern and Nonfatal Injuries of Adults in Korea)

  • Purpose: Alcohol is a major risk factor for injuries, but little is known about the relationship between chronic drinking pattern and injuries. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the incidence of alcohol-related injuries and the differences in the characteristics of the injuries between Alcohol Use Disorder Identification Test (AUDIT) categories. Methods: Among a representative sample of the third Korea National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey. 7,697 adults answered questions about injuries, drinking patterns, and socioeconomic status. Incidences of alcohol-related injuries and of non-alcohol-related injuries were calculated, and the relative ratio of injuries between AUDIT categories was analyzed. Results: The incidences of all injuries and alcohol-related injuries were 69.2 and 6.8 per 1000 person-year. After adjustment, the incidences of non-alcohol-related injuries showed no differences between AUDIT categories. But the adjusted relative ratios (RRs) of alcohol-related injuries were 3.73 (95% CI: 1.54~8.99) and 7.70 (95% CI: 3.61~16.44) for risk drinkers and for alcohol-dependent drinkers respectively. No specific body part could be identified as being frequently injured in cases of risk drinkers and alcohol-dependent drinkers. In contrast, the adjusted RRs of fractures, bruises, and open wounds were 1.76 (95% CI: 1.03~3.02), 1.73 (95% CI: 1.15~2.61), and 1.85 (95% CI: 1.17~2.93) for alcohol-dependent drinkers. Assaults occurred 4.66 times more frequently in alcohol-dependent drinkers. Conclusion: Alcohol-related injuries occur more frequently as the person becomes more dependent on alcohol. Fractures, Bruises, open wounds, and assaults occur more frequently in alcohol-dependent drinker. This study suggests that efforts should be carried out in the ED to screen and treat alcohol-use disorders associated with patients injured after drinking.

  • 국내(國內) 도토리의 이용(利用)을 위하여 그의 성분분석(成分分析)을 실시하였고, 가공(加工)에 장해(障害)가 되고 있는 tannin 성분(成分)의 효소적(酵素的) 가수분해(加水分解)를 시도하여 다음과 같은 결과(結果)를 얻었다. 1) 도토리와 상수리에 대한 주요성분(主要成分)을 분석(分析)하였다. 도토리중의 tannin 함량을 $6.5{\sim}7.5%$이었다. 2) 배양액 중에 tannin 가수분해(加水分解) 효소(酵素)를 다량(多量)으로 생산(生産)하는 우수균주(優秀菌株)의 분리(分離)를 시도하여 활성(活性)이 강한 Aspergillus flavus와 Aspergillus sp. AN-11을 부패도토리로부터 얻었다. 3) Aspergillus flavus 및 Aspergillus sp. AN-11의 효소생산(酵素生産)을 위한 최적(最適) 배양조건(培養條件)을 결정(決定)하였다.

적층구성 및 곡률 변화에 따른 CFRP 적층쉘의 관통특성 (The Penetration Characteristics of CFRP Laminated Shells on the Change of Stacking Sequences and Curvatures)

  • CFRP(Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastics) of the advanced composite materials as structural materials for vehicle, has a wide application in light-weigh structural materials of airplanes, ships and automobiles because of high strength and stiffness, However, there is a design variable to be considered in practical application of the laminate composite materials, these materials are vulnerable to transverse impact. This paper is to study the effects of stacking sequence and curvature on the penetration characteristics of composite laminate shell. They are stacked to $[0_3/90_3]S,\;[90_3/0_3]s\;and\;[0_2/90_3/0]s,\;[90_2/0_3/90]s$ and their interlaminar number two and four. They are manufactured to various curvature radius (R=100, 150, 200mm and $\infty$), When the specimen is subjected to transverse impact by a steel ball, the velocity of the steel ball was measured both before and after impact by determing the time for it to pass two ballistics-screen sensors located a known distance apart. The critical penetration energy of specimen A and B with less interfaces were a little higher than those of C and D. As the curvature increases, the critical penetration energy increases linearly because the resistance to the in-plane deformation as well as bending deformation increases, which need higher critical penetration energy. The specimen A and C have higher critical penetration energy than B and D because of different stacking sequences. We examined crack length through a penetration test. For the specimen A with 2interfaces, the longest circumferential direction crack length were observed on the first interface from the impact point. For the specimen B 4-interface, the longest circumferential direction crack length were observed on the second interface from the impact point.

무선통신을 이용한 방사선측정 시스템 개발 (Developement of Radiation Measuring System using Wireless Communication)

  • GM 계수관을 방사선 검출기로서 사용하고, 검출기의 신호를 디지탈 펄스로 변환하는 펄스처리회로와 디지탈 통신방식의 하나인 FSK(frequency shift keying) 변복조회로를 설계하였으며, 휴대용 무전기로 송수신되는 방사선 검출신호를 방사선량과 방사선량율로 개인용 컴퓨터의 화면에 표시하는 단일채널 무선 방사선측정 시스템을 개발하고 성능을 평가하였다. 성능검증 실험에서 펄스를 입력한 경우와 검출기에 방사선을 조사시킨 경우 펄스처리회로에서 약 5V의 동일한 디지탈 펄스가 출력되었고, 무선통신계통에서도 입력과 출력이 왜곡없이 송수신되고 있음을 확인하였다. 검출기에 표준방사선원(Cs-137)으로 방사선을 조사시켜 선량률을 측정한 결과 측정오차는 조사된 선량률의 10% 이내를 나타내었다. 본 시스템은 국내에선 처음으로 설계되었으며, 향후 다중채널로 구성하여 실시간 개인방사선피폭선량계, 방사선감시기 등 여러 용도의 방사선측정기에 응용함으로써 방사선방어에 기여할 것으로 기대된다.

Pharmacophore Design for Anti-inflammatory Agent Targeting Interleukin-2 Inducible Tyrosine Kinase (Itk)

  • A three dimensional pharmacophore model was generated for the molecules which are responsible for anti-inflammatory activities targeting Interleukin-2 inducible tyrosine kinase (Itk). 16 structurally diverse molecules were selected as training set to generate the hypotheses using Discovery Studio v2.1. The best hypothesis, Hypo1, comprises two hydrogen bond acceptor (HBA), one hydrophobic aromatic (HA), one ring aromatic (RA) and shows high cost difference (63.71), high correlation coefficient (0.97) as well as low RMS deviation (0.81). Hypo1 has been further validated toward a test set, decoy set and Fischer's randomization method. Furthermore, Hypo1 was used to screen NCI and Maybridge databases. Finally, 2 hit molecules were identified as potential leads against Itk, which may be useful for future drug development.

High-temperature Adhesion Promoter Based on (3-Glycidoxypropyl) Trimethoxysilane for Cu Paste

  • To realize copper-based electrode materials for printed electronics applications, it is necessary to improve the adhesion strength between conductive lines and the substrate. Here, we report the preparation of Cu pastes using (3-glycidoxypropyl) trimethoxysilane (GPTMS) prepolymer as an adhesion promoter (AP). The Cu pastes were screen-printed on glass and polyimide (PI) substrates and sintered at high temperatures (> $250^{\circ}C$) under a formic acid/$N_2$ environment. According to the adhesion strengths and electrical conductivities of the sintered Cu films, the optimized Cu paste was composed of 1.0 wt % GPTMS prepolymer, 83.6 wt % Cu powder and 15.4 wt % vehicle. After sintering at $400^{\circ}C$ on a glass substrate and $275^{\circ}C$ on a PI substrate, the Cu films showed the sheet resistances of $10.0m{\Omega}/sq$. and $5.2m{\Omega}/sq$., respectively. Furthermore, the sintered Cu films exhibit excellent adhesion properties according to the results of the ASTM-D3359 standard test.

Co, Ni 농도 변화에 따른 나노 SnO2 센서의 감응 특성 (Gas Sensing Characteristics of Nano Sized SnO2 Sensors for Various Co and Ni Concentration)

  • Nano-sized $SnO_2$ thick films were prepared by a screen-printing method onto $Al_2O_3$ substrates. The sensing characteristics were investigated by measuring the electrical resistance of each sensor in a test box as a function of the detection gas. The nano-sized $SnO_2$ thick film sensors were treated in a $N_2$ atmosphere. The structural properties of the nano $SnO_2$with a rutile structure according to XRD showed a (110) dominant $SnO_2$ peak. The particle size of $SnO_2$:Ni nano powders at Ni 8 wt% was about 45 nm, and the $SnO_2$ particles were found to contain many pores according to the SEM analysis. The sensitivity of the nano $SnO_2$-based sensors was measured for 5 ppm $CH_4$ gas and $CH_3CH_2CH_3$ gas at room temperature by comparing the resistance in air with that in the target gases. The results showed that the best sensitivity of $SnO_2$:Ni and $SnO_2$:Co sensors for $CH_4$ gas and $CH_3CH_2CH_3$ gas at room temperature was observed in $SnO_2$:Ni sensors doped with 8 wt% Ni. The response time of the $SnO_2$:Ni gas sensors was 10 seconds and recovery time was 15 seconds for the $CH_4$ and $CH_3CH_2CH_3$ gases.

의상디자인 교육용 하이퍼미디어 코스웨어 개발 연구 (A Study on Development of Hypermedia Couseware for Fashion Design Education)

  • This paper focuses on the development of a fashion design educational program that will foster the talent and aesthetic consciousness of fashion design students. The goal of progressive educational methods with cutting edge technology is to elevate educational efficiency, and ultimately rear creative designers. To fulfill its objective, this paper presents a courseware program on fashion design education utilizing hyper media that include animation, photographs, pictures, sounds and characters. By the utilization of such comprehensive source of information media, a hypermedia courseware was developed for elementary education in fashion design with the following conclusions : 1. The program enables the students to customize their fashion design education. The students of fashion design education programs are able to choose and adjust their own programs to suit their requirements and intellectual level. 2. The program effectively motivates. Much like a constant sequence of various images on a screen that can provoke profound heart-felt emotions and inspire creativity, the program can stimulate and motivate the students. 3. The program provides a consistent education. To advance the overall quality of fashion design education, the problem of dissonance in educational content should be resolved and possible individual errors in delivery rectified. The present program will solve such problems, and establish coherent standards that will withstand the test of time regardless of time or place. 4. The program is cost effective. Since the present program frees the teacher from the time consuming drudgery of preparing various texts and lesson plans, have the materials delivered and handled, it reduces the time and cost previously required. 5. The program has the capability to be upgraded. The accumulated know-how of teachers and the total experience of the program can be linked with other programs for limitless expansion.

SDC4 Gene Silencing Favors Human Papillary Thyroid Carcinoma Cell Apoptosis and Inhibits Epithelial Mesenchymal Transition via Wnt/β-Catenin Pathway

  • As the most common type of endocrine malignancy, papillary thyroid cancer (PTC) accounts for 85-90% of all thyroid cancers. In this study, we presented the hypothesis that SDC4 gene silencing could effectively attenuate epithelial mesenchymal transition (EMT), and promote cell apoptosis via the $Wnt/{\beta}-catenin$ signaling pathway in human PTC cells. Bioinformatics methods were employed to screen the determined differential expression levels of SDC4 in PTC and adjacent normal samples. PTC tissues and adjacent normal tissues were prepared and their respective levels of SDC4 protein positive expression, in addition to the mRNA and protein levels of SDC4, $Wnt/{\beta}-catenin$ signaling pathway, EMT and apoptosis related genes were all detected accordingly. Flow cytometry was applied in order to detect cell cycle entry and apoptosis. Finally, analyses of PTC migration and invasion abilities were assessed by using a Transwell assay and scratch test. In PTC tissues, activated $Wnt/{\beta}-catenin$ signaling pathway, increased EMT and repressed cell apoptosis were determined. Moreover, the PTC K1 and TPC-1 cell lines exhibiting the highest SDC4 expression were selected for further experiments. In vitro experiments revealed that SDC4 gene silencing could suppress cell migration, invasion and EMT, while acting to promote the apoptosis of PTC cells by inhibiting the activation of the $Wnt/{\beta}-catenin$ signaling pathway. Besides, $si-{\beta}-catenin$ was observed to inhibit the promotion of PTC cell migration and invasion caused by SDC4 overexpression. Our study revealed that SDC4 gene silencing represses EMT, and enhances cell apoptosis by suppressing the activation of the $Wnt/{\beta}-catenin$ signaling pathway in human PTC.
