Test Anxiety Investigation of Students in Oriental Medicine College by Using Korea's version-Test Anxiey Inventory, State-Trait Anxiety Inventory, Symptom Check List-90-Revision (시험불안척도, 상태-특성불안 척도, 간이정신진단검사를 이용한 한의학과 대학생의 시험불안 특성)

  • Objective : The aim of this study is to investigate and measure the Test-anxiety of college students in OO Oriental Medicine by using Korea's version-Test Anxiey Inventory(K-TAI-K), State-Trait Anxiety Inventory(STAI), Symptom Check List-90-Revision(SCL-90-R), etc. Methods : We studied 181 students who being at OO College of Oriental Medicine in second semester, 2007 We used some questionaries like K-TAI-K, STAI, SCL-90-R , College Life Satisfacaion, Life Event Questionnaire. Results and Conclusions : 1.141 persons(83,43%) of students feel the largest test anxiety before test. 18 persons(9.94%) of students feel the largest test anxiety after test. 2.The 1st grade students of preparatory course and 4th grade students of regular course have the lowest score in State Anxiety Inventory and obsessive-compulsive of SCL-90-R. The 2nd grade students of regular course have the lowest score in State Anxiety Inventory and obsessive-compulsive of SCL-90-R 3. Students who failed in test one time have the lowest score , and who failed in test more than two times have the highest score in K-TAl-K Students who failed one time in grade promotion more than two times showed high score in second K-TAI-K. 4. The higher grade, the lower score in College Life Satisfaction. The scores of College Life Satisfaction have negative correlations with those of K-TAI-K, STAI SCL-90-R except phobic anxiety, 5. The scores of Life Event Questionnaire have positive correlations with those of K-TAI-K, STAI and SCL-90-R except phobic anxiety. 6. The scores of K-TAl-K have positive correlations with those of STAI, SCL-90-R, College Life Satisfaction and Life Event Questionnaire. A correlation coefficient of obsessive-compulsive scale is highest, anxiety scale is second, interpersonal sensitivity scale is third, depression scale is fourth high among the scales of SCL-90-R.

Effects of Smilax China L. on the Growth of Skin Cancer Cells (토복령(土茯笭)이 피부암 세포의 성장에 미치는 영향)

  • Objectives : We aimed to study the effect of Smilax China L.(SCL), which has anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and anticancer effects, on the growth of skin cancer cells. Methods : HaCaT cells, a normal human cell line, and skin cancer cells including A431, SK-MEL-5 and SK-MEL-28 cells were treated with Smilax China L. ethanol extract(SCL-EtOH) at concentrations of 5, 10, 20 and 40㎍/㎖. Meanwhile, JB6 Cl41, a normal mouse epithelial cell line, was treated with epidermal growth factor(EGF) and phorbol 12-myristate 13-acetate(TPA), an inflammatory factor, to induce cell transformation and treated with SCL-EtOH. In addition, we treated SK-MEL-5 and SK-MEL-28 cells with SCL-EtOH at various concentrations and checked the effect on the cell cycle. Results : As a result, it showed no toxicity to HaCaT cells up to the highest concentration of 40㎍/㎖, and significant cell growth inhibition to A431, SK-MEL-5 and SK-MEL-28 cells in a time- and concentration-dependent manner. In addition, as a result of checking the shape of skin cancer cells according to SCL-EtOH treatment, it was observed that as the concentration increased, the number of normally attached and growing cells decreased and the shape of the cells changed. Colony formation was significantly reduced in a concentration-dependent manner in JB6 Cl41 cells treated with EGF or TPA. Flow cytometry analysis with propidium iodide(PI) staining showed that SCL-EtOH induced the G2/M phase arrest. We further confirmed the decrease in Cyclin B1 expression and increase in p27 expression associated with the G2/M phase of the cell cycle through western blot analysis. Flow cytometry analysis confirmed that SCL-EtOH induced cell apoptosis. Furthermore, through Western blot analysis, it was observed that the expression of cleaved-caspase-7, which is related to apoptosis, increased. Finally, it was confirmed that the expression of COX-2, an inflammatory marker protein, decreased in a concentration-dependent manner with SCL-EtOH. Conclusions : Through the above results, we have established a basis for applying SCL to the treatment of skin cancer.

AN AUSTRALIAN PERSPECTIVE OF THE SUITABILITY OF THE SCL PROTOCOL'S PROVISIONS FOR DEALING WITH FLOAT FOR ADOPTION AND USE BY THE AUSTRALIAN CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY

  • During the negotiation and resolution of delay and disruption disputes on construction projects, the use and misappropriation of float, and the question of float ownership, are considered to be a major concern to those involved. Most practitioners and authors are of the opinion that it is an issue that should be clearly defined and addressed within the provisions of the contract. However, the terms "float" or "ownership of float" are rarely mentioned (if at all) in most of the standard forms of Australian construction contracts, giving little guidance to those involved as to how this issue should be addressed. In October 2002 the United Kingdoms Society of Construction Law (SCL) published a Delay and Disruption Protocol (the Protocol) that contains a suggested approach to the issue. The aim of this research was to obtain an Australian opinion of the suitability of the SCL's Delay and Disruption Protocols suggested approach to the issue of float and ownership of float for use by the Australian construction industry. Qualitative interviews were carried out with Australian construction industry experts experienced in the administration, negotiation, and resolution of delay and disruption disputes to obtain their opinions of the suitability of the SCL's proposed approach. Results indicate general confusion and uncertainty as to how the issue of float and float ownership should be addressed in general, with the SCL's approach adding further to that confusion.

Changes of Lens Morphology and TBUT by Dehydration of Soft Contact Lens (소프트콘택트렌즈 건조로 인한 렌즈 형태 및 TBUT의 변화)

  • Purpose: This study was performed to evaluate the changes of lens morphology and tear stability during wearing soft contact lenses (SCLs) which were kept in drying condition like dry eye or became to be dried due to heedless care. Method: SCLs having different water content, thickness or material were rehydrated after being dehydrated artificially 2 or 4 times, and estimated their diameter and radius. Furthermore, the changes of tear film break-up time (TBUT) during SCL wearing were also measured. Result: Due to the dryness, the diameter of both 70% water content SCL and 59% water content SCL decreased, but the decrement was larger in 59% water content SCL. The more 59% water content SCL was dehydrated, the more its radius changed. However, the radius of 70% water content SCL did not change by 2 times dehydration and increased greatly by 4 times dehydration. The reduction of diameter of -1.00 D SCL was greater than that of -9.00 D SCL. Moreover, the radius of -1.00 D SCL increased depending on the frequency of dehydration but that of -9.00 D SCL did not changed. The diameter and radius changes of lotrafilcon B, silicone hydrogel lens, were less than those of hilafilcon B, copolymer of HEMA and N-vinyl pyrrolidone. TBUT during wearing SCLs decreased by wearing dehydrated SCLs. Conclusion: The diameter and radius of dehydrated SCLs as well as TBUT during wearing them were changed in spite of rehydration, which would be the important cause of uncomfortable feeling when people wore dehydrated SCL. The changes of SCL morphology and TBUT differed according to the water content, lens thickness and material.

  • With the rapid growth of power system capacity, fault current levels approach the maximum capacity of circuit breakers. In this paper, a superconducting current limiter (SCL) is proposed to reduce the fault current to an appropriate level. Superconductor for SCL has been examined and design criterion of each triggering method has been shown. Thin film SCL has been fabricated and switching characteristics are shown, where thermal and current triggering methods are adopted. Experimental result shows that fault current is reduced to one-half.

  • This study describes a simple and sensitive semi-micro HPLC method with UV detection and direct deproteinization. The plasma protein was precipitated using perchloric acid (60%) and the supernatant was directly injected onto the semi-micro HPLC system. The separation was achieved on a C18 (25 mm ${\times}$ 2.0 mm I.D) analytical column with a mobile phase of sodium acetate buffer (pH 3.5, 50 mmol) - acetonitrile (60:40, V/V). (omitted)

  • 본 논문은 IEC 61850기반의 변전소 자동화 시스템에서 Station HMI의 표현기법을 Autodrawing 하는 방안을 제안하였다. 변전소 자동화 시스템 설계자가 IEC 61850 Standard에서 제안하고 있는 변전소 시스템 구성 언어인 SCL(Substation Configuration description Language)을 가지고 변전소의 정보들을 구성 하게 된다. 이러한 SCD파일에 있는 변전소의 모든 정보를 활용하여 Station HMI에 변전소의 단선도를 자동으로 Drawing하고 각 장치들의 상태정보를 도시화 하며 통신 상태까지 표시 할 수 있는 방법을 포함하고 있다. SCL 구조를 해석하여 Data Structure에 저장하고 그 유용성에 따라 자동 생성이 가능한 기법이다.

  • With the advent of the international standard IEC 61850 for communication networks and systems in substations, utilities are beginning to implement substation automation systems (SAS) that can give support to interoperability, interchangeability and self-description features. This paper describes with the SAS design accordance with this new standard. After a brief introduction of IEC 61850 SCL, this paper addresses some issues related to the specification of an IEC 61850 based SAS, and describes the Substation Configuration Language (SCL) based on Extensible Markup Language (XML). The SAS design process is explored with examples including the Intelligent Electronic Device (IED) selection, Logical Nodes (LN) allocation and the related services and the SAS communication architecture.
