1. Objectives In this study, we analysed the up-to-the-present data in the SCIB and the chart of Iksan Wonkwang Oriental Medical Clinic, to develop the system and factors of data for the SCIB(Sasang constitution Information Bank). 2. Methods SCIB data is composed of analyses about the QSCC II(Questionnaire for the Sasang Constitution Classification II), Cold-hot questionaire, Ban-chi constitution questionnaire, Body composition, Body measurement, 24-hour food intake & Activity examination, MBTI & MMTIC, Informed consent & Blood sampling, and data presented by committee of Sasang constitution diagnosis expert. And the chart data of Iksan Wonkwang Oriental Medical Clinic is composed of analyses about Inspection, Ausculfation and olfaction, Inquiry, Pulse feeling and palpitation, and treatment field. 3. Results and Conclusions Almost data in the SCIB are lack of regular forms because they are based on mainly the QSCC II and additionally other examinations. Conclusionly important matters of the SCIB data are as follows: (1) the standard form including 4 whole diagnostic factors (2) the standard form including symptoms, pattern identifications, treatment processes and treatment results (3) objectivity and practicality to collect data.

본 논문에서는 신형식 강합성 H형강 교량의 최적 설계단면 결정 및 거동 특성을 분석하고 있다. 단경간 교량과 등간격 2 3경간 연속교량에 대한 설계단면을 도로교 설계기준(2005)을 토대로 최적의 H-형강거더 선정과정을 상세히 기술하고 있으며, 설계단면결정을 위한 구조해석시 범용구조해석프로그램 MIDAS(2006)를 사용하여 발생되는 내력과 응력을 계산하였다. 설계단면의 안전성을 검토하고자 ABAQUS(2007)를 사용하여 설계단면의 발생응력과 처짐을 설계기준의 허용값들과 비교 검토하였다. 검토결과 제안된 설계단면은 안전측으로 제안되고 있음을 확인할 수 있었다.

The sasang constitutional medicine has been believed to be inherited. To ensure the heredity of sasang constitution and to look into the heredity pattern, we statistically analyzed constitutional relationship between parents and their children, using 173 clinical data couples registered to SCIB(Sasang Constitution Information Bank). The following results are obtained: The sasang constitution can be believed to be inherited, because the constitutions of children, whose parents have same constitutions, are mostly the same as their parents'. And it seems that one constitution is predominant to the other according to combinations of constitutions because constitution ratio of children are uniformly 2 to 1 in case the constitutions of parents are not same. Also it was confirmed that any sex of parents is not predominant by Chi-square test.

This clinical study is designed to find the characteristics of heat and cold according to Sasang Constitutions by using a statistical analysis. The study was conducted based on the questionnaire sheets and medical history (clinical data) of 1080 people registered at Sasang Constitution Information Bank (SCIB). The total number of people registered at SCIB was 1083; however, 3 Taeyangin's data were excluded in this study. The statistical analyses results on these data were: Most Taeumins have warm limbs, while Soeumins have cold ones. Taeumin, and Soyangin do not like hot weather, while Soyumin doesn't like coldness. As soeumins' body temperature is relatively lower than that of other constitutions, they tend to sleep tightly under blankets or comforters. Taeumin tend to drink more water because they sweat a lot; while Soeumin drink smaller amount of water because they sweat less. Both Taeumin, and Soyangin like cold food, but Soeumin liked hot food. Soeumin showed strong tendency for hot and cold food, while other constitutions displayed less inclination toward the certain temperature of food. Soeumin certainly had the remarkable response toward changes in heat and cold than other constitutions. The differences written above were proved to be meaningful enough by Chi-square test.

To evaluate constitutional preference and clinical symptoms on the foods, we statistically analyzed the 572 patients' data based on the Sasang Constitutional Information Bank (SCIB) in Korea Institute of Oriental Medicine (KIOM). As a result, these are supposed to constitution-related foods ; crucian, watermelon, barley, ginseng, honey, chicken, deer's horn, beef, cold foods. Among these, crucian, barley, cold foods are fit for Soyangin, ginseng, honey, chicken for Soeumin and deer's horn, watermelon, beef for Taeumin. Whereas pork and sliced raw fish are nothing to do with sasang constitution in this study.

Objectives The purpose of this study was to survey the Personality and Ordinary Symptoms of Soyangin and to compare the tendency of their personality and symptoms according to Soyangin's major prescription. Methods 331 Soyangin's personality and ordinary symptoms data registered to SCIB(Sasang Constitutional Information Bank) were used. All data were analyzed with Chi square test. Some data were ranked and analyzed with Kruskal-Wallis test and Mann-Whitney test(with Bonferroni correction). Chi square and Kruskal-Wallis test's significant P value was 0.05. Mann-Whitney test's significant P value was 0.005. Results & Conclusions In Chi square test, there is difference in personality and symptoms in Soyangin's major prescription as followed, the degree of masculinity and femininity, the degree of patience, the condition of stool, the degree of appetite, good or bad in digesting, amount of meal, the speed of eating, amount of drinking water, the temperature of drinking water, coldness and hotness in abdomen or not. In Kruskal-Wallis test and Mann-Whitney test, Yanggyuksanhwa-tang is more masculine than Dokhwaljihwang-tang, Hyeongbangsabaek-san, Hyeongbangjihwangtang. Dokhwaljihwang-tang is less appetite than Yanggyuksanhwa-tang and Hyeongbangsabaek-san. Yanggyuksanhwa- tang is more fast in eating than Hyeongbangjihwang-tang.

The methodology of constitution diagnosis is main concern in sasang constitutional medicine, but highly reliable method is not yet established. So we statistically analyzed the relationship between the constitution and characteristic factors of skin such as thickness, stiffness, roughness, and touch-feeling, using 1079 clinical data registered to SCIB(Sasang constitution Information Bank), and the following results are obtained: The skin of Taeeumin are more thick or more stiff or more rough than other constitutions. The skin of Soeumin are more soft or more feeble or more feeble-refined than other constitutions. The skin of Soyangin are more slippery or more thin or more slippery-refined than other constitutions. The differences written above were proved to be meaningful enough by Chi-square test.

The stiffness of skin also has big discrimination ability in classification of Taeeumin and Soeumin, especially in Taeumin women and Soeumin man and in ages 21-60.
