Objectives : Brassica campestris var narinosa (BCN), Canavalia gladiata DC semen (CGD) and their combinational prescription (BCN+CGD) have been use to demonstrate to regulate hematopoiesis. In the current study, we investigated whether Brassica campestris var narinosa, Canavalia gladiata DC semen and their combinational prescription is related to hemato-potentiating function using Sca-$1^+$ hematopoietic stem cells (Sca-$1^+HSCs$) as a testing system. Methods : Sca-$1^+HSCs$ isolated from femur in C57bl/6 mice with leukopenia and thrombocytopenia induced by cyclophosphamide (CTX). Then, Real-time PCR was performed to measure the mRNA expression, ELISA and haematopoiesis-related gene (EPO, TPO, IL-3, SCF, c-kit, GM-CSF), the phosphorylation of JAK2, GATA-1 and STAT-5a/b were observed by western blot, and the numbers of $CD117^+/Sca-1^+$ cell and the number of granulocyte erythrocyte monocyte macrophage colony-forming units (CFU-GEMM) and erythroid burst forming units (BFU-E), semisolid clonogenic assay was performed. Result : When Sca-$1^+HSCs$ were treated with Brassica campestris var narinosa, Canavalia gladiata DC semen and their combinational prescription with rIL-3/rSCF, the expression of haematopoiesis-related (EPO, TPO, IL-3, SCF, c-kit, and GM-CSF) were significantly increased at the levels of mRNA as well as production in Sca-$1^+HSCs$. Additionally, CGS enhanced phosphorylation of JAK2, GATA-1, and signal transducer and activator of transcription-5a/b (STAT-5a/b) in Sca-$1^+HSCs$. Furthermore, their combinational prescription (BCN+CGD) significantly enhanced the growth rate of granulocyte erythrocyte monocyte macrophage colony-forming units (CFU-GEMM) and erythroid burst forming units (BFU-E) in vitro. Conclusion : These result suggest that Brassica campestris var narinosa (BCN) and Canavalia gladiata DC have hematopoietic enhancement via hematopoietic cytokine-mediated JAK2/GATA-1/STAT-5a/b pathway, and their combinational prescription (BCN+CGD) has superior hematopoietic enhancement to those of individual extracts.

In this study, we improve the performance of telemetry ECG modem using acoustic coupler. The results are as follows : (1) General active filter is replaced by SCF(switched capaciror filter) improving the LPF and BPF characteristics. (2) ECG Pre-amplifier is installed in ECG modem. (3) The interface circuit is designed to store the ECG waveform in casette recorder.

American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) standard test method PS 070-97 has been created for measuring fracture toughness of advanced ceramics. PS 070-97 includes three test methods which use beams in bending: chevron notch (CNB), single-edged precracked beam (SEPB), and surface crack in flexure (SCF). Supporting data has been collected through several Versailles Advanced Materials and Standards round robins. This paper discusses the evolution of the standard including the rationale for the choice of the three methods and the specifications in the standard. Progress on Standard Reference material 2100 which will have certified values of fracture toughness is presented.

컴퓨터 수준의 스마트 디바이스를 이용하는 현재의 이동통신 환경은 처리해야 할 정보량의 급속한 증가에 효율적으로 대응하기 위해서 새로운 시스템 및 네트워크 구조와 기술들을 연구개발하고 있고 여러 가지 후보 기술 중 대규모 고밀도 액세스 네트워크(UDN) 구조 연구에 대한 관심이 높아지고 있다. UDN 환경의 CAPEX 및 OPEX 문제를 해결하기 위해서 최근 액세스 네트워크의 공유 방안에 대한 논의 및 표준화가 진행되어 기술적으로는 인터넷 환경에서 검증된 가상화 기술의 액세스 네트워크 적용을 추진하고 있다. 이러한 동향을 반영하여 최근 SCF 주도로 완성된 소형 셀 기지국 가상화 규격이 현실적이고 실질적인 연구 결과로 평가되어 세부 사항을 분석한다.

Using data from the 2007 SCF, this study examined the use of information source for investment decisions of elderly consumers. The results indicated that many elderly consumers (about 88%) involved savings /investment decisions. The elderly used 'Experts' (39.48%) as a major information source for their investment decisions, followed by 'Friends' (24.18%). The results of the multinomial logit analysis suggested that the perceived value, the cost for search, knowledge, risk and some of the demographic factors were significantly related to the choice of the information sources for investments by elderly consumers.

Theoretical studies on the proton transfer reaction in a formamide dimer have been done by Ab initio SCF calculation. In this study, we have shown several effects on the potential energy profile of the proton transfer in a formamide dimer, such as the effect of a basis set, the effect of a geometry optimization, and the effect of a distance between proton-donor and proton-acceptor.

Orthogonalized Slater-type orbitals and Ortho-normalized Slater-type orbitals were derived from the conventional Slater-type orbitals (STO's) by use of the continuous orthonormalizing which is expanded from the Schmidt's orthogonalizing procedure. These orbitals have the merits which STO's have not, such as; they are ortho-normalized each other and have the same numbers of the radial nodes that the real hydrogenlike wave functions do, so that they must be a good basis functions of LCAO MO procedures, i.e., the best approximate representation of SCF method.

바닥 말무리 dinoflagellate의 광합성 에너지 수용 색소인 peridinin의 전자 흡수스펙트럼을 PPP SCF MO 계산결과와 형광 편광 실험결과에 견주어 분석하였다. 청색광 부위의 흡수띠 (470 nm)는 $B{\leftarrow}A$ 천이에 대응하여 분자의 장축과 거의 평행 방향으로 편광되어 있음이 예측된다. 소위 "cis peak" 영역의 근자외선 흡수띠는 두개의 비교적 약한 ${\pi}{\rightarrow}{\pi}^*$천이 $(C{\leftarrow}A$와 $D{\leftarrow}A)$에 기인하며 그 편광축은 $^1B{\leftarrow}A$편광축 방향과 근접되어 있음이 MO 계산과 편광 측정에 의해 추정되었다. 그리고 락톤 카르보닐 원자단의 전자구조는 $^1B$ 상태에서도$^1A$ 상태 (ground state)에 비해서 과히 변화함이 없으나, allene기는 charge transfer적 성격을 농후하게 띠고 있어서 들뜬상태에서는 allene기가 전자결핍상태가 되는 것이 예측된다.
