배관 강성을 고려한 소형 공정열교환기 시제품에 대한 탄성 고온구조해석 (Elastic High-temperature Structural Analysis on the Small Scale PHE Prototype Considering the Pipeline Stiffness)

  • A PHE (Process Heat Exchanger) is a key component required to transfer heat energy of $950^{\circ}C$ generated in a VHTR (Very High Temperature Reactor) to the chemical reaction that yields a large quantity of hydrogen. A small-scale PHE prototype made of Hastelloy-X is being tested in a small-scale gas loop at Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute. In this study, as a part of the evaluation on the high-temperature structural integrity of the small-scale PHE prototype, we carried out macroscopic high-temperature structural analysis of the small-scale PHE prototype under the gas loop test conditions considering the pipeline stiffness.

Investigating nonlinear forced vibration behavior of multi-phase nanocomposite annular sector plates using Jacobi elliptic functions

  • A multi-scale epoxy/CNT/fiberglass annular sector plate is studied in this paper in the view of determining nonlinear forced vibration characteristics. A 3D Mori-Tanaka model is employed for evaluating multi-scale material properties. Thus, all of glass fibers are assumed to have uni-direction alignment and CNTs have random diffusion. The geometry of annular sector plate can be described based on the open angle and the value of inner/outer radius. In order to solve governing equations and derive exact forced vibration curves for the multi-scale annular sector, Jacobi elliptic functions are used. Obtained results demonstrate the significance of CNT distribution, geometric nonlinearity, applied force, fiberglass volume, open angle and fiber directions on forced vibration characteristics of multi-scale annular sector plates.

저수지의 3D 모델링 형상 구현과 효율성 분석 (3D Modelling Shape Embodiment and Efficiency Analysis of Reservoir)

  • 현재 전국에 산재해 있는 많은 소규모의 저수지들은 관리 상태나 실지 내용적에 대한 정확한 자료가 모두 구비되어있지 못한 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 행정구역상 저수지가 많이 분포되어있는 영남권의 경주시 73개 소규모 저수지 가운데 23개소를 선정하여 실험을 하였다. RTK-GPS를 이용하여 5초마다 데이터를 취득하였고, E/S를 이용하여 1초 간격으로 수심에 대한 값과 TS를 이용하여 현황 측량을 실시하였다. 이렇게 취득된 자료를 가지고 3D모델링을 하여본 결과 15개소(약 65%)의 저수지가 양호한 상태였음을 알 수 있었고, 과거자료와의 비교.분석을 통하여 현재 저수지 상태에 대한 정확한 내용적을 알 수 있었다. 또한 23개소 저수지의 만수면적과 유효저수량을 분석한 결과 만수면적은 20.63%, 유효저수량은 3.34%만큼 줄어들었음을 알 수 있었다. 이를 통하여 현재 저수지 상태에 대한 분석과 관리 방향에 대한 방법에 대하여 기여하고자 한다.

Advancing drag crisis of a sphere via the manipulation of integral length scale

  • Spherical object in wind is a common scenario in daily life and engineering practice. The main challenge in understanding the aerodynamics in turbulent wind lies in the multi-aspect of turbulence. This paper presents a wind tunnel study, which focuses on the role of turbulence integral length scale ${\Lambda}$ on the drag of a sphere. Particular turbulent flow conditions were achieved via the proper combination of wind speed, orifice perforated plate, sphere diameter (D) and distance downstream from the plate. The drag was measured in turbulent flow with $2.2{\times}10^4{\leq}Re{\leq}8{\times}10^4$, $0.043{\leq}{\Lambda}/D{\leq}3.24$, and turbulence intensity Tu up to 6.3%. Our results confirmed the general trends of decreasing drag coefficient and critical Reynolds number with increasing turbulence intensity. More interestingly, the unique role of the relative integral length scale has been revealed. Over the range of conditions studied, an integral length of approximately 65% the sphere diameter is most effective in reducing the drag.

Analysis of the Relationships Between Sasang Typology, Holland's Vocational Typology, and Myers-Brigg's Types Among Undergraduate Students at the College of Oriental Medicine

  • Objectives : The present study investigated the integrative relationships between Sasang typology, Holland's vocational typology, and Myers-Briggs type. Methods : The sample was composed of 83 sophomores at the College of Oriental Medicine, Daegu Hanny University (56 men, 27 women; ages 19 to 39, mean age ${\pm}$S. D. = 24.38 ${\pm}$ 5.28) and was carried out with the QSCC II, Holland inventory, and MBTI. SPSS 12.0 was employed for statistical analyses. Results : The Sasang types of the subjects were as followed: 21 Soyangin (10 men, 11 women) (25.3%), 20 Taeumin (18 men, 2 women) (24.1%), and 42 Soeumin (28 men, 14 women) (50.6%). There were no significant differences in the mean scores of Realistic, Investigative, Artistic, Social, Enterprising, or Conventional scale between the 3 Sasang types, but in the mean scores of Realistic, Investigative, and Artistic scale between the 4 MBTI combinations (Sensing-Thinking, Sensing-Feeling, Intuition-Thinking, and Intuition-Feeling type): F (3, 73) = 3.11, p < .05 in Realistic scale, F (2, 73) = 3.70, p < .05 in Investigative scale, and F (2, 73) = 5.60, p < .01 in Artistic scale. Conclusions : The present study discovered that the first preference for vocational aptitude of undergraduate students at the College of Oriental Medicinewas Investigative and the second preference was Artistic, which fitted Holland's vocational codes as Investigative/Artistic or Investigative/Social scale. The personality traits underlying Sasang typology play an important factor in making career decisions.

한방병원에 입원한 두통을 동반한 메니에르 병 의증 환자에 대한 한방 치료 1례 (The Effect of Korean Medicine Treatment on Suspected Meniere's Disease with Headache in a Patient Hospitalized at a Korean Medicine Hospital: A Case Report)

  • Objectives: This study reports on the efficacy of using Korean medical treatment with suspected Meniere's Disease. Methods: We treated a patient with suspected Meniere's disease using Korean medical treatments (herbal medicines, acupuncture, herbal acupuncture therapy). To evaluate the results, we used the visual analogue scale (VAS) to measure dizziness, tinnitus, ear fullness, and headache. The degree of tinnitus was also evaluated using the Korean Tinnitus Handicap Inventory (K-THI). The generic health status was evaluated using the European Quality of Life-5 Dimensions (EQ-5D) scale. Results: Improvements in the VAS and EQ-5D scale scores were observed after the treatments. The change in the K-THI scores showed that the patient's tinnitus handicap was relieved. Conclusions: The results of this case study suggest that Korean medicine therapies may be effective in the treatment of suspected Meniere's Disease.

어머니의 자녀 수반 자기가치감이 어머니의 우울에 미치는 영향: 부모 자녀 관계의 매개효과 (The Influence of Mother's Child-based Self-worth on the Maternal Depression : The Mediating Effect of Parent-child Relationship)

  • 본 연구에서는 어머니가 자녀의 성취에 자신의 가치감을 수반시키는 경향(자녀 수반 자기가치감)과 부정적인 부모 자녀 관계, 그리고 어머니의 우울간의 관계를 살펴보고자 했다. 이를 위해, 전국에 중고등학생 자녀를 둔 어머니 400명을 대상으로 어머니의 자녀 수반 자기가치감 척도, 부모 자녀 간 역기능적 상호작용 척도, 우울(CES-D) 척도 순으로 구성된 설문을 실시하고 SPSS 18.0과 AMOS 18.0을 이용해 분석하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 첫째, 어머니의 자녀 수반 자기가치감, 부모 자녀 간 역기능적 상호작용, 우울간의 상관관계를 분석한 결과, 모든 변인들 간에 유의미한 정적 상관이 나타났다. 둘째, 구조방정식 모형을 통한 연구 모형 검증결과, 어머니의 자녀 수반 자기가치감과 우울 간의 관계에서 부모 자녀 간 역기능적 상호작용이 완전 매개하는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구 결과를 바탕으로 본 연구의 의의와 한계점 및 후속연구 제언을 논의하였다.

외상후스트레스장애 환자의 증상 정도와 스트레스 대처 방식, 사회적 지지, 자존감의 관련성 (The Association among Stress Coping Strategies, Social Support, and Self-Esteem in Patients with Posttraumatic Stress Disorder)

  • Objective : The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship among the degree of symptoms of posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and social support, stress coping strategies, and self-esteem in patients with PTSD. Methods : A total of 48 patients meeting DSM-5 criteria for PTSD and 48 normal controls were recruited for participation in this study. We evaluated subjects using the Clinician-Administered PTSD Scale (CAPS), Hamilton Anxiety Scale (HAM-A), Hamilton Depression Scale (HAM-D), Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale (RSES), Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support (MSPSS) and The Ways of Stress Coping Questionnaire (SCQ). We analyzed data using an independent t-test and Pearson's correlation analysis. Results : In PTSD patients, total CAPS scores showed a significant positive correlation with HAM-A and HAM-D scores and a significant negative correlation with MSPSS scores. RSES scores showed a significant positive correlation with MSPSS and SCQ scores. MSPSS scores showed a significant negative correlation with PTSD avoidance and numbing and HAM-D scores. SCQ scores showed a significant negative correlation with PTSD avoidance and numbing. Conclusion : These results revealed that the better the stress coping strategies and social support, the lower the degree of symptoms in patients with PTSD. In addition, it was found that the higher the social support and self-esteem, the lower the degree of depression and anxiety. Therefore, in the treatment process, it seems important to identify and correct the self-esteem, social support system, and stress coping strategies of patients with PTSD.

2차원 광부호분할 다중접속 시스템에 의한 영상의 병렬 전송과 복원법 (Parallel Transmission and Recovery Methods of Images Using the Two Dimensional Fiber-Optic Code-Division Multiple-Access System)

  • Two-dimensional(2-D) fiber-optic code-division multiple-access(FO-CDMA) system utilizes the optical orthogonal signature pattern code(OOSPC) to encode and decode 2-D data. Encoded 2-D data are spatially multiplexed and transmitted through an image fiber and receiver recovers the intended data by means of thresholding process. OOSPC's construction methods based on expansion of the optical orthogonal code, which is used in one-dimensional(1-D) FO-CDMA system, are introduced. Each OOSPC's performances are compared by using the bit error rate(BER) of interfering OOSPC's of other users. From the results we verify that a balanced incomplete block design(BIBD) construction has the best performance among other mehtods. We also propose a decomposed bit-plane method for parallel transmission and recovery of 256 gray-scale images using OOSPC's constructed by the BIBD method. The simulation result encourages the feasibility of parallel transmission and recovery of multiuser's images.
