In oriental medicine, it is possible to classify and treat many diseases using the pulse wave detection system. Other problems may arise. As it is a very subjective way to analyze the pulse wave. One problem of the conventional pulse wave detection system is that the arterial pulse sensor is not located correctly at the radial artery. Threrefore measurement results can differ depending on the measurement position and the measurement procedure. This is mostly due to it's sensitivity to high reproducibility. In order to solve this problem this paper proposes an algorithm to analyze the weak pulse wave symptom and strong pulse wave symptom. It uses the portable pulse wave detection system which includes a Hall Sensor. As a final result, it analyzed the weak pulse wave symptom and strong pulse wave symptom by the SPSS statistics technique. It proves that N time (notch point time) and S Amp (rise waveform size) mean values are significantly different in 95% confidence interval.
Difficulties encountered in downhole S-wave (shear wave) surveys include the precise determination of shear wave travel times and determination of geophone orientation relative to the direction of polarization caused by the seismic source. In this study an S-wave enhancing and a principal component analysis method were adopted as a tool for determination of S-wave arrivals and the direction of polarization from downhole S-wave survey data. An S-wave enhancing method can almost double the amplitudes of S-waves, and the angle between direction of polarization and a geophone axis can be obtained by a principal component analysis. Once the angle is obtained data recorded by two horizontal geophones are transformed to principal axes, yielding so called scores. The scores gathered along depth are all in-phase, consequently, the accuracy of S-wave arrival picking could be remarkably improved. Applying this processing method to the field data reveals that the test site consists of a layered ground earth structure.
This research is the hair damage as treating a permanent wave before and after that is compared and analyzed the change of physical and mechanical properties. This is the survey of women's hair in 20 years old. On the basis of this we would like to analyze a extend of hair damage. Also, we would to show a basic data for hair damage prevention and hair improvement to keep the beautiful and healthy hair. The conclusion is as follow. : The swelling degree after the treatment was found to be greater than before permanent wave treatment. For the formational characteristics wave, untreated hair certainly had more elastic S curl wave than damaged hair in all the permanent wave treatments, and damaged hair and extremely damaged hair had less elasticity and had saggy S curl wave. The protein permanent and soft permanent wave had thicker, gorgeous, and better elastic wave than the regular permanent wave and direct heating permanent wave in all the hair condition. As the degree of damage on hair got greater, the tensile strength dramatically decreased and as the degree of damage got greater, the elongation was great as well. For treatment method, direct heating permanent wave showed the greatest effect, causing the most damage.
In this study, we suggested the wave power generator using horizontal motions of the wave for use in the coastal sea. The length of the horizontal movement of the wave in the vicinity of the sea surface is larger than the length of the vertical reciprocating movement of the wave, hence the proposed device has a wave power transmission plate. In addition, because the motion of the wave is maximum to the sea surface, by arranging the buoyancy tanks at the top of the wave power transmission plate, it is always capable of vertical movement in accordance with the sea surface. To confirm the usefulness of the proposed wave power generator, we constructed a mathematical model of the wave power generator and carried out simulation using bondgraph. Furthermore, the efficiency was verified by measuring the degree of electrical energy production through a preliminary experiment.
In the present paper, the wave absorbing performance of the fully submerged horizontal porous plates has been investigated, numerically and experimentally. The submerged porous system is composed of multi-layered horizontal porous plates that are clamped at the vertical setwall, which are slightly inclined and placed vertically, in parallel, with spacing. The hydrodynamic interaction of incident waves with the rigid porous multi-layered plates was formulated within the context of linear wave-body interaction theory and Darcy's law. In order to validate the effectiveness of the present computing code, the numerical results were compared with the analytical and experimental results. It is found that triple horizontal porous plates with slight inclination, if properly tuned for wave energy dissipation against the standing waves in front of the vertical wall, can have high performances in reducing the reflected wave amplitudes against the incident waves over a wide range of wave frequency.
In this paper various methods of determining of wave loads acting ofshore structures including impact load due to breaking wave are studied and corresponding model test was performed. In the theoretical approach wave load by nonbreaking wave and impact load by breaking wave is determined by Morrison's equation Goda's equation and impact wave equation, In the experimental approach wave load by nonbreaking wave acting on cylindrical pile used in offshore structures is determined by measuring the strain on a cylindrical pile and compared with theoretical calue. in the numerical approach impact load by breaking wave acting on a modeled cylindrical pile is calculated by usign ANSYS FEM program and compared with theoretical value. It is found that the experimental and numerical results are comparable to theoretical results, Thus the determination of wave load acting on offshore structures can be obtained by a proposed methods and it acceptable.
This paper reports a novel mobile-type wave energy harvesting system. The proposed system adopts a wave glider's propulsion mechanism. A wave glider's blades were mounted on a circular layout and generated a rotational motion. Combining the wave converting system with the wave glider, a mobile floating-type robotic buoy system was developed. It enabled the relocation of the buoy position, as well as station-keeping for long term operation. It had a small size and could efficiently harvest wave energy. A feasibility study and modeling were carried out, and a prototype system was constructed. Various tank tests were performed to optimize the proposed wave energy harvesting system.
In recent years, as human casualties and property damage caused by hazardous waves have increased in the East Sea, precise wave prediction skills have become necessary. In this study, the Simulating WAves Nearshore (SWAN) third-generation numerical wave model was calibrated and optimized to enhance the accuracy of winter storm wave prediction in the East Sea. We used Source Term 6 (ST6) and physical observations from a large-scale experiment conducted in Australia and compared its results to Komen's formula, a default in SWAN. As input wind data, we used Korean Meteorological Agency's (KMA's) operational meteorological model called Regional Data Assimilation and Prediction System (RDAPS), the European Centre for Medium Range Weather Forecasts' newest 5th generation re-analysis data (ERA5), and Japanese Meteorological Agency's (JMA's) meso-scale forecasting data. We analyzed the accuracy of each model's results by comparing them to observation data. For quantitative analysis and assessment, the observed wave data for 6 locations from KMA and Korea Hydrographic and Oceanographic Agency (KHOA) were used, and statistical analysis was conducted to assess model accuracy. As a result, ST6 models had a smaller root mean square error and higher correlation coefficient than the default model in significant wave height prediction. However, for peak wave period simulation, the results were incoherent among each model and location. In simulations with different wind data, the simulation using ERA5 for input wind datashowed the most accurate results overall but underestimated the wave height in predicting high wave events compared to the simulation using RDAPS and JMA meso-scale model. In addition, it showed that the spatial resolution of wind plays a more significant role in predicting high wave events. Nevertheless, the numerical model optimized in this study highlighted some limitations in predicting high waves that rise rapidly in time caused by meteorological events. This suggests that further research is necessary to enhance the accuracy of wave prediction in various climate conditions, such as extreme weather.
The detonation combustion is a supersonic combustion process follows on shock wave oscillations in detonation tube. In this paper numerical studies are carried out combined effect of blockage ratio and spacing of obstacle on detonation wave propagation of hydrogen-air mixture in pulse detonation combustor. The deflagration to detonation transition of stoichiometric (ϕ=1)fuel-air mixture in channel has been analyzed for effect of blockage ratio (BR)=0.39, 0.51, 0.59, 0.71 with spacing of 2D and 3D. The reactive Navier-Stokes equation is used to solve the detonation wave propagation mechanism in Ansys Fluent platform. The result shows that fully developed detonation wave initiation regime is observed near smaller vortex generator ratio of BR=0.39 inside the combustor. The turbulent rate of reaction has also a great significance role for shock wave structure. However, vortices of rapid detonation wave are appears near thin boundary layer of each obstacle. Finally, detonation combustor demonstrates the superiority of pressure gain combustor with turbulent rate of reaction of 0.6 kg mol/m3 -s inside the detonation tube with obstacle spacing of 12 cm, this blockage enhanced the turbulence intensity and propulsive thrust. The successful detonation wave propagation speed is achieved in shortest possible time of 0.031s with a significance magnitude of 2349 m/s, which is higher than Chapman-Jouguet (C-J) velocity of 1848 m/s. Furthermore, stronger propulsive thrust force of 36.82 N is generated in pulse time of 0.031s.

This paper presents a three-dimensional (3D) integrated numerical model where the wave-induced pore pressures in a porous seabed around breakwater heads were investigated. Unlike previous research, the Navier-Stokes equation is solved with internal wave generation for the flow model, while Biot's dynamic seabed behaviour is considered in the seabed model. With the present model, a parametric study was conducted to examine the effects of wave and soil characteristics and breakwater configuration on the wave-induced pore pressure around breakwater heads. Based on numerical examples, it was found that the wave-induced pore pressures at breakwater heads are greater than that beneath a breakwater. The wave-induced seabed response around breakwater heads become more important with: (i) a longer wave period; (ii) a seabed with higher permeability and degree of saturation; and (iii) larger angle between the incident waves and breakwater. Furthermore, the relative difference of wave-induced pore pressure between fully-dynamic and quasi-static solutions are larger at breakwater heads than that beneath a breakwater.
