In the field of culture, leisure and sports, the level of satisfaction and concern were similar, so it was found that the expectations for the field were relatively high before returning rural area. As for the agreement degree to expand support, the demand for emergency medical facilities and dementia care program was the highest, and the demand for health care was found to be relatively high. The results of the survey on the top priority items indicate that latent urban-to-rural migrants require support of facility and space item and expansion of program item, and urban-to-rural migrants have high demand for expansion of program item in all field except healthcare field. The results of this study are expected to provide useful information for establishing the direction of the rural area development project in connection with the revitalization of policy of people return to rural area.

Method: A survey was conducted on 221 aged women 100 from urban areas and 121 from rural area. The data were collected through a questionnaire and interview. Descriptive statistics, ANOVA and multiple stepwise regression were found by using SPSS PC Win. Package. Result: There were significant difference of factors relating health promotion behavior in Pender model between the aged women in urban areas and rural areas, urban women showed higher scores in factors such as previous heath relating behavior, perceived confidence, self-efficacy, social support, satisfaction with marriage, situational influence, and behavioral plan involvement, while rural women showed higher scores in the factors of fixed idea regarding gender role, perceived disabled feeling, and activity related emotions. At the subscale of HPLP, interpersonal relation, nutrition, health responsibility, stress management, spiritual growth of rural group was lower than urban group. With the multiple stepwise regression analysis, commitment to a plan of action, social support, activity related affect, self efficacy were proved to be significant to urban group, while commitment to a plan of action. activity related affect, social support, sex-role stereotype were proved to be significant to rural group statistically. Conclusion: There were differences of health promotion behavior and influencing factors between aged women in urban areas and rural areas and women in rural areas were found to have more weakness than women in urban areas. The objective of this study is to analyze the characteristic of radiation environment in the urban and rural through the field observation in the summer. The radiation balance was compared through the measurement of the shortwave radiation and long-wave radiation in the urban, sub-urban, and rural. The following conclusion could be obtained from this research. (1)In the results of observation including the rain-day, it was found that the short wave radiance in the urban is lower about 10% than the rural. (2)The upper part of atmosphere layers in the urban are aabsorb much short wave radiation energies compared with the rural relatively. It can increase the temperature of the upper part of atmosphere layers and the emittance of long wave radiation. (3)The ratio of the downward short wave radiation to the downward long wave radiation was 1.24 for the urban, 1.28 for sub-urban and 1.35 for rural. It can be estimated that the atmosphere condition of the rural is better than that of other areas. (4)The net radiation of the rural was lower that of the urban. It was found that the energy in and outflow of the rural is easier than that of the urban. (5)The temperature variation for the long-wave radiation change of the rural showed more sensitive than that of the urban. It was came from the radiation characteristics of the surrounding environment and can be used as the important index to evaluate the thermal environment characteristic of urban.

Questionnaire were completed by interview with direct or self-recording type. Research tool was questionnaire with health concern, health behavior, and subjective health cognition, and data collected were analyzed into descriptives, crosstabs, T-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficient by SPSS 10.0 program. The results were as follows: 1. Health concern was 9.0% for upper group, 39.1% for middle group, 51.9% for lower group in urban area, and 10.1% for upper group, 41.0% for middle group, 48.8% for lower group in rural area. Subjective health cognition by health behavior was totally significant correlation with health behavior in urban and rural area(p〈0.05). That is to say, the higher health behavior in urban and rural area had the higher subjective health cognition. 5. For correlations between 3 variables, there was significant correlation between health behavior and subjective health cognition in urban area (p<0.01). There were correlations between health concern and health behavior, health behavior and subjective health cognition(p<0.05). Considering above results, the higher health behavior had the higher subjective health cognition in urban area. Japan is very similar with Korea in aspect of decreasing population of rural areas and increasing demand of urbanites' migrating to rural areas. Therefore, government ministries of Japan including Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries have performed policies for popularizing stay in rural area and rural in-migration as a new lifestyle since the early 2000s. The purpose of this study is to find implication for rural repopulation in Korea though reviewing Japan's policy for urban-rural interchange. In Japan, demand of urban-rural interchange was segmented by the length and purpose of stay, and the policy was made by the way of meeting the needs of each segmented group. After two cases of policy implementation in Kochi and Fukushima prefecture were studied, a few implications were discussed. For rural repopulation, comprehensive vision and strategy of urban-rural interchange including from rural tourism to rural inmigration and diverse programs for satisfying various kinds of demand of urban-rural interchange need to be developed.
Objectives: This study was performed to examine the clustering of lifestyle risk factors for chronic diseases in urban poor and rural adults. Methods: As a cross-sectional study, a questionnaire survey was conducted in 2003. Data was collected from 468 urban poor adults and 385 rural adults. And 848 persons data was used for final analysis. We surveyed their smoking habit alcohol consumption, exercise habit education and disease histories. Result: In mea about 25% of the urban poor subjects and about 20% of the rural subjects had three lifestyle risk factors(Prevalence ratio was 1.29). And, in women, about 1.5% of the urban poor subjects and about 0.5% of the rural subjects had three lifestyle risk factors(Prevalence ratio was 4.00). Especially in men, clustering of smoking and excessive alcohol consumption was strongest both the urban poor and rural subjects(Observed/Expected ratio(O/E): 1.4 in the urban poor subjects, 1.3 in the rural subjects). Conclusions: These findings show that the lifestyle risk factors cluster among the urban poor and rural adults. And the clustering is stronger in the urban poor adults than the rural adults. This tendency was important for health education and health promotion. We suggest that more intensive health promotion strategies for the urban poor adults are needed.
