Two species of myxosporean parasites - Parvicapsula anisocaudata and an unidentified myxosporean were found in the lumina of renal tubules and the tubular epithelium, respectively, from cultured olive flounder, Paralichthys olivaceus in Korea. The latter was also seen in interstitial tissue of spleen and interrenal gland of the head kidney. Group of pseudoplasmodia of P. anisocaudata were firmly attached on the epithelium of renal tubules through pseudopodia. In the renal tubule epithelium, a group of unidentified myxosporean trophozoites, which were 2-3 times larger than intraluminal trophozoites of P. anisocaudata, was observed. The parasites being burst out into the lumen was occasionally encountered with partial break of the epithelium. Although infection of P. anisocaudata and unidentified myxosporean parasites did not induce any cellular reaction of the host, occlusion of renal tubules and rupture of renal epithelium would impact negatively on the renal functions of severely infected fish.

Various parametric methods, Larson-Miller (L-M), Orr-Sherby-Dorn (O-S-D), Manson-Haferd (M-H) parameters, and minimum commitment method (MCM), were used to predict longer rupture time from short-term creep data. A number of the creep data were collected through literature surveys and experimental data produced in KAERI for predicting the creep type of type 316LN SS. Polynomial equations for predicting the creep life were obtained by the time-temperature parameters (TTP) and the MCM. standard error (SE) and standard error or mean (SEM) values were compared for the each method with temperatures. The TTP methods were good in the creep-life prediction, but the MCM was much superior to the TTP ones at $700^{\circ}C\;and\;750^{\circ}C$. The MCM was found to be lower in the SE values compared to the TTP methods

A number of creep rupture data for type 316LN stainless steels were collected through literature survey or experimental data produced in KAERI. Using these data, polynomial equations for predicting creep life were obtained by Larson-Miller (L-M), Orr-Sherby-Dorn (O-S-D) and Manson-Haferd (M-H) parameters using time-temperature parametric (TTP) methods. Standard error of estimate (SEE) values for the each parameter was obtained with different temperatures through the statistical process of the creep data. The results of L-M, O-S-D and M-H methods showed good creep-life prediction, but M-H method showed better agreement than L-M and O-S-D methods. Especially, it was found that SEE values of M-H method at $700^{\circ}C$ were lower than that of L-M and O-S-D methods.

Reduced Activation Ferritic/Martenstic (RAFs) are leading candidates for structural materials of D-T fusion reactor. One of The RAFs, JLF-1 (9Cr-2W-V, Ta) has been developed and proved to have good resistance against high-fluency neutrino irradiation and good phase stability. Recently, in order to clarify the strengthening mechanical at high temperature, a new scheme to improve high temperature mechanical properties is desired. Therefore, the creep properties and creep life prediction by Larson-Miller Parameter method for JLF-1 to be used for fusion reactor materials or other high temperature components were presented at the elevated temperatures of $500^{\circ}C$, $550^{\circ}C$, $600^{\circ}C$, $650^{\circ}C$ and $704^{\circ}C$. It was confirmed experimentally and quantitatively that a creep life predictive e벼ation at such various high temperatures was well derived by LMP.
Creep tests for Titan were carned out using constant-load at $600^{\circ}C$, $650^{\circ}C$ and $700^{\circ}C$. Material constants necessary to predict creep life were acquired from the experimental creep data. And the applicability of Monkman-Grant(M-G) and modified M-G relationships was discussed. It was discovered the log-log plot of M-G relationships between the rupure time(tr) and he minimum creep rate(${\varepsilon}_m$) was conditional on test temperatures. The slop of m was 2.75 at $600^{\circ}C$ and m was 1.92 at $700^{\circ}C$. However; the log-log plot of modified M-G relationships between $t_r/\varepsilon_r$ and $\varepsilon_m$ was indpendent on stresses and temperatures. That is the slop of m' was almost 3.90 in all the data. Thus, change M-G relationships to creep life prediction could be vtilized more reasonably than that of M-G relationships for type Titan. It was divided that the constant slopes never theless of temperatures of practical stresses in the modified relationship were due to an intergranular break grown by wedge-type cauities.
Wordsworth is a poet who thought seriously about problems of human's relation to the world as perceiving subjects. What he calls "the life of things" illustrates the enabling power of things and their vitalities at play in excess of human elements. Drawing on this, he provides insights into vital materialities that act upon, and are acted upon by, the collaborative circulation between human and nonhuman agency. This paper aims to reinvigorate the debate about Wordsworth's ethics of things in terms of such critical notions as things, objects, agency, and nonhumans in an attempt to explain what he envisions as new environmental realities built upon nonhierarchical, collaborative relationships between all participants. From the vantage point of things, we see clearly what has been neglected in the New Historicist critical method. It holds fast to the conceit that humans are entitled to have sole agential legitimacy, disregarding the vibrancy of things. They opt for the objectified matter or the (re)presented state of things. But in terms of Wordsworth's life of things, all participants have equal amounts of agency regardless of their forms and for that reason humans are expected to respect other things' sovereignty. Through encounters with things, things in their thingness show up for us, only to reveal the ineradicable rupture between themselves and their objectified forms.

Long time creep strength and life prediction of 1% Cr-Mo-V and 12% Cr rotor steel were performed by using round-bar type specimens under static load at 500-600.deg. C TTP (time temperature parameter), MCM (minimum commitment method) and ISM (initial strain method newly devised) as life prediction methods were investigated, and the results could be summarized as follows. (1) The minimum parameter of SEE (standard error) by TTP was proved as LMP (larson-miller parameter), and the minimum parameter of RMS (root mean squares), by data less than 10$^{3}$hrs was MHP (manson-haferd parameter). (2) The parameters of the minimum and the maximum strength values predicted in $10^{5}$hrs creep life of 1% Cr-Mo-V steel by TTP were LMP and MSP, respectively. In case of 12% Cr steel above $550^{\circ}C$ OSDP (orr-sherby-dorn parameter) was minimum and MSP (manson-succop parameter) was maximum, but below $550^{\circ}C$, the inverse phenomena was observed. On the other hand the creep strengths before $10^{3}hrs$ life by MCM were similar to those by TTP, but the strengths after $10^{3}hrs$ life were 10-25% lower than those by TTP. (3) Creep strengths by ISM were maximum 5% lower than those by TTP. Because $10^{5}hrs$ strengths were similar to those of the lower band by TTP, the ISM was safer than the TTP.

Wrought nickel-base superalloys are being considered as the structural materials in very-high temperature gas-cooled reactors. To understand the effects of impurities, especially oxygen, in helium coolant on the mechanical properties of Alloy 617, creep tests were performed in high temperature flowing He environments with varying $O_2$ contents at 800, 900, and $1000^{\circ}C$. Also, creep life in static He was measured to simulate the pseudo-inert environment. Creep life was the longest in static He, while the shortest in flowing helium. In static He, impurities like $O_2$ and moisture were quickly consumed by oxidation in the early stage of creep test, which prevented further oxidation during creep test. Without oxidation, microstructural change detrimental to creep such as decarburization and internal oxidation were prevented, which resulted in longer creep life. On the other hand, in flowing He environment, surface oxides were not stable enough to act as diffusion barriers for oxidation. Therefore, extensive decarburization and internal oxidation under tensile load contributed to premature failure resulting in short creep life. Limited test in flowing He+200ppm $O_2$ resulted in even shorter creep life. The oxidation samples showed extensive spallation which resulted in severe decarburization and internal oxidation in those environments. Further test and analysis are underway to clarify the relationship between oxidation and creep resistance.
In this study, for using effectively domestic (temperate) small and medium diameter logs as a wooden floorboard, cross-laminated wood panels were manufactured using domestic larch and tulip woods as a base material for teak and merbau wood flooring, and static bending strength performances were measured to investigate the applicability as the base materials of wooden flooring in place of plywood. Static bending MOE was much influenced by the strength performances of the top layer lamina than that of the laminae for base materials. Bending MOR showed the higher values in tulip wood that was hardwoods than in larch wood that was softwoods regardless of the strength performances of the top layer laminae, and it was found that the values were much influenced by the strength performances of the base materials used in the core and bottom layers. However these values were 1.4-2.5 times higher values than the bending strength of the wooden floorboards specified in KS, it was found that it can be sufficiently applied to the base materials of wooden floorboards in place of plywood.
This study was performed to investigate the effects of heat treatment the on mechanical properties of two species of wood under different heating conditions including at $180^{\circ}C$ for 12 h and 24 h, and at $210^{\circ}C$ for 3 h and 6 h. Two species of wood, Pinus densiflora and Larix kaempferi, were exposed to different heat treatments to assess the effects on the volume change, bending properties in static and dynamic mode and compressive strength. The results showed heat treatment caused significant changes in mechanical properties such as the static and dynamic moduli of elasticity ($MOE_d$ and $MOE_s$), and the modulus of rupture (MOR). The volume of the wood after heat treatment decreased as the heating temperature and time were increased. The bending strength performance of the wood after heat treatment decreased as the heating temperature and time were increased. The effect of heat treatment at a high temperature on the bending MOR was greater in both species than that for a long time. However, the compressive strengths of all the heat-treated samples were higher than the control sample. Furthermore, highly significant correlations between $MOE_d$ and MOR, and $MOE_s$ and MOR were found for all heating conditions.
