Efficient Detour routing path detection algorithm based on the hierarchical network structure analysis (계층적 네트웍 구조 분석 기반의 패킷우회 검출 알고리즘)

  • Network Management become more and more important issue in the network environment in which many applications such as Mail, teleconferencing, WWW and database software are operated. It can be possible for The Bridge and flouter forwarding data to select next hop device which results in routing incorrect path from the viewpoint of network design. In this paper we address the problem of finding the detour routing path due to incorrect setting on routing devices. We propose the new algorithm for finding detour routing path based on hierarchical network structure analysis using information from SNMP MIB. To prove the correctness of the proposed algorithm we have done simulation with predefined data. Simulation results show that the algorithm finds detour path correctly

  • Depending on the location of the rendezvous point (RP), the network efficiency is determined in the core based tree (CBT) or protocol independent multicast-sparse mode (PIM-5M) multicasting protocol to provide the multicast services based on the shared tree. In this paper, a new algorithm to allocate the RP using the estimated values of the total cost and the size(number of entries) of the routing tables is proposed for efficiently controlling the cost and the number of routing table entries. The numerical results show that the proposed algorithm reduces the total cost in 5.37%, and the size of routing tables in 13.35% as compared to the previous algorithm.

  • In wireless sensor networks(WSNs), geographic routing algorithms can enhance the network capacity. However, in the real WSNs, it is difficult for each node to know its accurate physical location. Geographic routing with location error may have serious problems such as disconnected links and delayed data transmission. In this letter, we present an efficient location error detection scheme for geographic routing. The proposed algorithm can efficiently update its incorrect location without additional procedure and finally enhance the performance on the geographic routing with the location errors.

  • This study is focussed on an optimal vehicle routing model for multi-supply centers in two-echelon logistic system. The aim of this study is to deliver goods for demand sites with optimal decision. This study investigated an integrated model using step-by-step approach based on relationship that exists between the inventory allocation and vehicle routing with restricted amount of inventory and transportations such as the capability of supply centers, vehicle capacity and transportation parameters. Three sub-models are developed: 1) sector-clustering model, 2) a vehicle-routing model based on clustering and a heuristic algorithm, and 3) a vehicle route scheduling model using TSP-solver based on genetic and branch-and-bound algorithm. Also, we have developed computer programs for each sub-models and user interface with visualization for major inputs and outputs. The application and superior performance of the proposed model are demonstrated by several sample runs for the inventory-allocation and vehicle routing problems.

  • An and hoc network is a collection of wireless mobile nodes forming a temporary network without the centralized administration. Due to the limited transmission range of wireless work interface, multiple networks "hops" maybe needed for one node to exchange data with adjacent node. In recent years, a variety of new routing protocol about ad hoc network was developed. This paper presents a new routing protocol based on the Dynamic Source Routing which is not suitable for the high mobility ad hoc network. The Enhanced DR adapts quickly to routing changes when node movement is frequent. When a trunk route is broken, this protocol will utilize the alternative route saved in the route to discovery quickly the new route. It improves the performance of the existing DSR algorithm, so that the negative impacts from weakness of DSR are reduced.

  • In recent years, AGVs(Automated Guided Vehicles) have received growing attention as a subsystem of the integrated container operating system which enables unmanned control. improvement of job reliability, accuracy and productivity. Therefore, a number of works have been done to enhance the performance AGVs. In this paper. job deployment and a dynamic routing control system composed of supervisor, traffic controller. motion controller and routing table are discussed. A simple job deployment scheme and an efficient dynamic routing algorithm incorporating with the deadlock prediction and avoidance algorithm are investigated.

  • This paper deals with a routing algorithm which can find the best communication route to a desired point considering disconnected links in the LEO (low earth orbit) satellite networks. If the LEO satellite networks are dynamic, the number and distribution of the disconnected links are varying, which makes the routing problem challenging. To solve the problem, in this paper, we propose a routing method based on Dueling DQN which is one of the reinforcement learning algorithms. The proposed method was successfully conducted and verified by showing improved performance by reducing convergence times and converging more stably compared to other existing reinforcement learning-based routing algorithms.

  • ZigBee is the emerging industrial standard for ad hoc networks based on IEEE 802.15.4. It is used for low data rate and low power wireless network applications. Expected applications of ZigBee include wireless sensor networks for remote monitoring, home control, and industrial automation. Since one of the most important design goals of ZigBee is to reduce the installation and running costs, the ZigBee stack is embedded in the cheap and small micro-controller unit. The hierarchical routing algorithm is used for ZigBee end devices which have very limited resources. Using the block addressing scheme, end devices can send data to the destination without a routing table. However, hierarchical routing has the problem that the packets follow the tree hierarchy to the destination even if the destination is located nearby. In this paper, we propose a scheme to improve the hierarchical routing algorithm in ZigBee networks by employing the neighbor table that is originally used together with the routing table. We suggest selecting the neighbor node that has the minimum remaining hops to the destination as the next hop node. Simulation result shows that the proposed scheme saves more than 30% of the hop counts compared with the original hierarchical routing.

  • A joint multipath routing algorithm and channel allocation and scheduling for wireless multihop and multichannel systems is discussed. In packet transmission, distribution of packets to multiroutes makes it possible to reduce the transmission cost of the channels. Cross-layer cooperation of routing, channel allocation, and scheduling is an effective method of packet distribution. As a framework for the cooperation, we propose a multiroute distance vector routing (MDVR) scheme. In the MDVR scheme, the routing table is logically placed in between the routing and link layers, and the table plays the role of a service access point between these two layers. To evaluate the performance of MDVR, simulation is performed in a multichannel, multihop environment. The simulation results show that the MDVR framework can be efficiently implemented in the form of a distributed routing algorithm. It is also shown that in MDVR, the system-wise channel efficiency is almost 25% higher than that in a conventional single-route routing approach.

  • Multicast has been a key routing service for efficient data dissemination in underwater acoustic sensor networks. In sensor networks, there are several multicast routing protocol which reflects sensor network nature. However, existing routing scheme was not targeted at underwater acoustic sensor networks which is hard to provide battery continually. Therefore, a specialized routing algorithm is essential for acoustic sensor networks. In this paper, we propose angle aided multicast routing algorithm for decreasing routing computation complexity, including virtual Euclidean Steiner point. Simulation results show better performance than exist routing Position Based Multicast, Geographic Multicast Routing. such as low computation capability and limited power consumption.
