A Layered Network Flow Algorithm for the Tunnel Design Problem in Virtual Private Networks with QoS Guarantee

  • This paper considers the problem of designing logical tunnels in virtual private networks considering QoS guarantee which restricts the number of tunnel hops for each traffic routing. The previous researches focused on the design of logical tunnel itself and Steiner-tree based solution algorithms were proposed. However, we show that for some objective settings it is not sufficient and is necessary to consider both physical and logical connectivity at the same time. Thereupon, the concept of the layered network is applied to the logical tunnel design problem in virtual private networks. The layered network approach considers the design of logical tunnel as well as its physical routing and we propose a modified branch-and-price algorithm which is known to solve layered network design problems effectively. To show the performance of the proposed algorithm, computational experiments have been done and the results show that the proposed algorithm solves the given problem efficiently and effectively.

Field programmable circuit board를 위한 위상 기반 회로 분할 (A topology-based circuit partitioning for field programmable circuit board)

  • In this paper, w describe partitioning large circuits into multiple chips on the programmable FPCB for rapid prototyping. FPCBs consists of areas for FPGAs for logic and interconnect components, and the routing topology among them are predetermined. In the partition problem for FPCBs, the number of wires ofr routing among chips is fixed, which is an additonal constraints to the conventional partition problem. In order to deal with such aconstraint properly we first define a new partition problem, so called the topologybased partition problem, and then propose a heuristic method. The heuristic method is based on the simulated annealing and clustering technique. The multi-level tree clustering technique is used to obtain faster and better prtition results. In the experimental results for several test circuits, the restrictions for FPCB were all satisfied and the needed execution time was about twice the modified K-way partition method for large circuits.

공유된 멀티캐스트 트리에서 센터 위치 결정을 위한 새 알고리즘 (New conter location algorithms for shared multicast trees)

  • Multicast routing algorithms such PIM, CBT, BGMP use shared multicast routing trees and the location of the multicast tree has great impact on the packet delay. In this pater we propose three new center location algorithms and analyze their performance through simulation studies. these three algorithms consider as candidates for the center not only multicast group members but also a few non-members nodes. To select these non-member nodes, we first find all the shortest paths among every couple of members and consider either nodes which are most frequently visited during the process of finding shortest paths or nodes which lie at the center of a shortest path and are most frequently visited during the same process. There the proposed algorithms are able to find the better center than not only algorithms which consider only member nodes but also other algorithms which consider selected non-member nodes in addition ot member nodes. The proposed algorithms either incur too much overhead nor depend upon unicasting algorithms.

  • IP 멀티캐스트의 대안으로 제시되고 있는 오버레이 멀티캐스트는 네트워크계층의 구현 기법으로, 지연 시간과 대역폭 사용에 있어서 표준화된 인터페이스가 정의되어 있지 않아 응용 서비스의 요구사항에 따라 해당 기법을 선택해서 사용해야 하는 비효율적인 면을 가지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 오버레이 멀티캐스트 기법 중 분산형 Tree-first 기반의 spanning tree 구조인 TBCP기법과 mOBCP기법을 상호 비교하여 세션 가입절차 및 탈퇴, 노드의 단절을 순차적인 대기방법인 tree 구조를 적용하였다. 이 두 기법을 동일시간대에 다수의 사용자 접속 시 최적의 부모노드를 빠르게 선택하도록 제안된 tree 구조 방식의 해석결과 mOBCP기법이 TBCP기법에 비해 평균 대기시간이 약 36% 감소하였다.

무선 에드혹 네트워크에서 지역 기반 트리를 이용한 멀티캐스팅 프로토콜 (Region-based Tree Multicasting Protocol in Wireless Ad-Hoc Networks)

  • 본 논문에서는 무선 에드혹 네트워크에서 효율적인 데이터 전송을 위한 밀티캐스팅 프로토콜을 제안한다. 기존에 제안된 유무선망에서의 밀티캐스팅 프로토콜들은 이동성에 의한 망의 동적인 변화, 제한된 대역폭, 높은 에러율등의 특성을 지닌 무선 에드혹 네트워크 환경을 고려하지 못하여 이를 그대로 무선 에드혹 망에 적용할 경우 나쁜 성능을 보인다. 이를 해결하기 위하여 에드혹 네트워크 환경을 고려한 멀티캐스팅 프로토콜들이 제안되었다. 그러나 이들 프로토콜 또한 제어메시지 오버헤드와 대역폭의 낭비를 줄이는 동시에 높은 데이터 전달률을 제공하지는 못하고 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 이를 개선한 지역 기반 트리를 이용한 멀티캐스팅 프로토콜(RTMA)을 제안한다. 지역 기반 트리를 이용한 멀티캐스팅은 위치 정보를 이용하여 지역을 나누어 지역 별로 트리를 구성한다. 이것은 송신자의 수가 많은 경우에도 제어 메시지의 오버헤드를 줄이는 동시에 효율적인 데이터 전송을 위한 것이다. 또한 이동성에 대처하지 못하는 트리 구조의 특성을 보완하기 위하여 속도정보를 이용하여 이동성이 큰 노드를 경로에서 제외시켜 신뢰성 있는 트리를 구성한다.

  • 모바일 네트워크에서 멀티캐스팅 알고리즘을 구현시에는, 호스트 그룹핑이나 멀티캐스트 제공 트리를 효율적으로 관리하는 것이 주요한 이슈이다. 본 논문에서는 Mobile-IPv6 기반에서 멀티캐스트 문제 등을 고찰하며, MLD 프로토콜을 사용하여 수신자뿐만 아니라 소스도 이동성을 갖는 기법을 제안한다. 제안된 기법은 터널을 사용하여 그룹에 대한 멀티캐스팅을 중단하도록 HA에 요청하는 방식이며, 비용분석 모델을 통하여 그 효율성을 입증한다.

  • Recently, some applications require the multicast service that transmit messages to multiple destinations in computer communication network enviroment. Multicast service is to send messages to the group which consists of a number of processes. A multicast group is a collection of processes which are destinations of the transmitted messages and these processes may run on one or more hosts. Therefore, it is important to manage each member of process groups in order to provide efficient multicast services. In this paper, we design and implement group management system to support multicast services. Group Management System was designed with Process Group Management System(PGMS) and Host Group Management System(HGMS). We have implemented basic primitives of PGMS, HGMS. Also, membership tree management algorithm is designed and implemented. Membership tree provides the relation of the members of multicast groups and routing Informations.

차량경로문제 (VRP)의 최적루트 설계를 위한 알고리듬 개발에 관한 연구 (A Study of the Development of Algorithm for Optimal Route Design of the Vehicle Routing Problems)

  • This paper is concerned with the development of tree-search algorithm for the exact solution to the vehicle problem (VRP), where set of vehicles of known capacity based at depot, have to be routed in order to supply customers with known requirements. When is required is to design routes, so that the total cost (i. e. total route length or time duration, ect.) is minimized. For obtianing the exact solution, the most important factors are the value of bound and branching strategy. Using the bound based on with bound ascent procedures from subgradient and state-space ascents, the incorporation of bounds into tree search algorithm to solve the problem is shown. Computational results of the corresponding algorithm show that VRPs with up to 40 customers can be solved optimally with this algorithm.

  • The primary role of MRP(Material Requirement Planning) is to make a production plan so that we have an exact quantity of right materials on needed time at right place. But the ignorance on capacity constraints makes some problems whenever production schedule is established. To increase the performance of MRP system, a novel approach which is based on new input data structure is suggested. The new input data structure includes all the information about Material BOM, Routing and resource data so that we can easily examine the usage of resources and generate higher performance production plans.

  • The multicasting is defined as the distribution of the same information stream from one to many nodes concurrently. There has been an intensive research effort to design protocols and construct multicast routing graphs for a single multicast group. However. there have been few researches about the relation between multiple and concurrent multicast groups. In this paper, the multiple multicast tree allocation algorithm to avoid congestion is proposed. The multicast group with different bandwidth requirement is also considered. A two-phase algorithm is proposed. The first phase is for basic search and the second phase for further improvement. The performance of the proposed algorithm is experimented with computational results. Computational results show that the proposed algorithm outperforms an existing algorithm.
