도로포장 표면조사와 FWD정보에 기반한 도심지 도로포장 유지보수 기법 개선방안 연구 (A Study of Improvement of Urban Pavement Maintenance Technique based on Pavement Condition Evaluation and FWD Data)

  • 서울시 도로는 교통하중, 도로포장 노후화 및 잦은 굴착복구 등의 열악한 도로조건으로 인하여 도로포장 수명이 기대수명에 미치지 못하여 효율적 도로포장관리(Pavement Management System, PMS)와 적절한 유지보수 시기가 요구된다. 본 연구에서는 도로의 표면상태조사와 FWD(Falling Weight Deflectometer)기반 조사를 통하여 장기 공용성 구간의 보수우선 순위를 선정하고 각 지수에 따른 우선순위의 상관도를 분석하여 명확한 포장상태 평가와 타당한 공법 및 시기의 선정에 도움이 되고자 한다. 이를 위해 서울특별시의 장기 공용성 구간(Long Term Performance Pavement, LTPP)을 활용하여 표면상태조사를 통해 균열, 소성변형, 종단평단성을 측정하였고 서울포장평가지수인 SPI(Seoul Pavement Index)로 포장상태를 나타내었다. 또한 동일 구간에 대해 FWD시험을 통한 처짐량과 코어채취에 의한 포장두께 자료를 이용하여 포장층의 탄성계수를 역산하고 허용 교통량을 산정하여 실제 교통량과 허용 교통량을 비교 후 잔존수명을 추정하였다. 이를 통하여 도출된 포장상태 지수와 포장지지력에 따른 잔존수명을 비교분석하였다. 결과적으로 표면상태지수인 Crack, Rutting, IRI(International Roughness Index) 값들의 보수 우선순위와 지지력에 의한 보수 우선순위를 분석하여 보수 우선순위에 따른 포장상태지수와 포장지지력의 상관성을 검토하였다. 그 결과, 균열과 소성변형에 대하여 R-square 값이 0.65이상으로 상관도가 높은 반면, 종단평탄성과 그 값을 포함한 SPI와의 상관도는 비교적 낮은 수준을 나타내었다.

  • It has been reported that the photopolymer solidification in the stereolithogrpahy process is mainly depend on the laser exposure conditions such as laser power and scanning speed. However, these researches were focused on the vertical laser exposure onto the surface of the photopolymer. In this research, we developed a mathematical model for the photopolymer solidification under the inclined laser beam exposure. Using the developed mathematical model, the photopolymer solidifications were simulated varying inclined laser exposure conditions. Developed mathematical model was in good agreement with the experimental result. This research can be applied to improve the surface roughness in the stereolithogrpahy process.

노치 발파공에 의한 파단면 제어 효과에 관한 연구 (Assessment of Notch Effect on Fracture Plane Control)

  • 발파에서 특정한 방향으로 균열 성장을 제어하는데 장약공 노치가 유효하다는 연구결과가 발표되어오고 있다. 본 연구에서는 장약공의 노치가 파단면 형성에 미치는 영향을 살펴보기 위하여 일반 장약공과 노치 장약공에 의한 파단면의 표면을 비교하였다. 암석시편에 노치를 형성하기 위하여 노치비트시스템이 적용되었다. 파단면의 표면은 디지털 영상 계측법을 적용하여 DEM 모델로 재구성하고, 표면 거칠기 지수를 사용하여 파단면의 거칠기를 평가하였다.

  • Thermal oxidations of 3C-SiC thin-films grown on Si(100) by APCVD(atmospheric pressure chemical vapor deposition) were carried out. The oxidations of 3C-SiC were performed at $1100^{\circ}C$ for 1~6 hr in wet and dry $O_2$ ambient, respectively. Ellipsometry was used to determine the thickness and index of refraction of oxide films. The oxide thickness vs. the oxidation time follows the general relationship used for the thermal oxidation of Si. The surface roughness was analyzed by using AFM(atomic force microscopy). The surface roughness of oxidized 3C-SiC was rougher than before oxidation. The thermal oxide was found to be $SiO_2$ by XPS(X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy) analysis. Auger analysis showed them to be homogeneous with near stoichiometric composition.

Numerical study of wind profiles over simplified water waves

  • Vertical profiles of mean and fluctuating wind velocities over water waves were studied, by performing Large-Eddy Simulations (LES) on a fully developed turbulent boundary layer over simplified water waves. The water waves were simplified to two-dimensional, periodic and non-evolving. Different wave steepness defined by $a/{\lambda}$ (a : wave amplitude; ${\lambda}$ : wavelength) and wave age defined by $c/U_b$ (c: phase velocity of the wave; $U_b$ : bulk velocity of the air) were considered, in order to elaborate the characteristics of mean and fluctuating wind profiles. Results shows that, compared to a static wave, a moving wave plays a lesser aerodynamic role as roughness as it moves downstream slower or a little faster than air, and plays more aerodynamic roles when it moves downstream much faster than air or moves in the opposite direction to air. The changes of gradient height, power law index, roughness length and friction velocity with wave age and wave amplitude are presented, which shed light on the wind characteristics over real sea surfaces for wind engineering applications.

교류형 PDP 보호막용 MgO-CaO 박막의 광학적 특성과 전기적 특성 (Optical and Electrical Properties of MgO-CaO thin films as a Protective Layer for AC PDPS)

  • Optical and electrical properties of MgO-CaO films as a protective layer for AC plasma display panel were studied. When the [(CaO/(MgO+CaO)] ratio of evaporation starting materials was optimum composition, 0.1, firing voltage and memory margin of the film were 176V and 0.5, respectively. When [CaO/(CaO+MgO)] was 0, 0.1 and 0.2, memory margin was 0.39, 0.5 and 0.41, respectively, and surface roughness of films was $27.7\AA$, $21.1\AA$ and $40.3\AA$, respectively. It was thought that memory margin had a reverse-relation with surface roughness. The density of film was calculated by measuring the refractive index of film. The density of MgO film was 3.21g/㎤ and the density of film, when [CaO/(CaO+MgO)] was 0.1, was 3.632g/㎤. The mixture of MgO-CaO films showed a good transmittance property in the visual range.

분산계수의 전처리에 의한 대기분산모델 성능의 개선 (Improvement of Atmospheric Dispersion Model Performance by Pretreatment of Dispersion Coefficients)

  • Dispersion coefficient preprocessing schemes have been examined to improve plume dispersion model performance in complex coastal areas. The performances of various schemes for constructing the sigma correction order were evaluated through estimations of statistical measures, such as bias, gross error, R, FB, NMSE, within FAC2, MG, VG, IOA, UAPC and MRE. This was undertaken for the results of dispersion modeling, which applied each scheme. Environmental factors such as sampling time, surface roughness, plume rising, plume height and terrain rolling were considered in this study. Gaussian plume dispersion model was used to calculate 1 hr $SO_2$ concentration 4 km downwind from a power plant in Boryeung coastal area. Here, measured data for January to December of 2002 were obtained so that modelling results could be compared. To compare the performances between various schemes, integrated scores of statistical measures were obtained by giving weights for each measure and then summing each score. This was done because each statistical measure has its own function and criteria; as a result, no measure can be taken as a sole index indicative of the performance level for each modeling scheme. The best preprocessing scheme was discerned using the step-wise method. The most significant factor influencing the magnitude of real dispersion coefficients appeared to be sampling time. A second significant factor appeared to be surface roughness, with the rolling terrain being the least significant for elevated sources in a gently rolling terrain. The best sequence of correcting the sigma from P-G scheme was found to be the combination of (1) sampling time, (2) surface roughness, (3) plume rising, (4) plume height, and (5) terrain rolling.

MQL 공급시스템을 이용한 플라스틱 금형강 가공 최적화에 관한 연구 (A Study on The Optimization of Plastic Mold Steel Machining Using MQL Supply System)

  • This study manufactured a minimum quantity lubrication (MQL) supply system and identified the optimal MQL machining cutting conditions for plastic mold steel (SCM440). A series of experiments were consisted of twice. Optimal cutting conditions were derived using the Taguchi method, and cutting force variance; surface roughness; tool wear; and cutting temperature in dry, wet, and MQL machining were measured experimentally for these optimal conditions. The measured results decreased from dry to wet and MQL machining, being particularly large for dry machining due to increased cutting time. Measured MQL machining metrics were similar to those for wet machining, particularly for surface roughness, which is an index of machining quality.

용접철망을 사용한 반두께 P.C.슬래브의 휨 및 연성거동 (The Flexural Behavior including Ductility of Half Precast Concrete Slab with Welded Deformed Wire Fabric)

  • 본 연구는 용접철망을 사용한 반두께 프리캐스트 콘크리트 슬래브의 휨내력 평가 및 연성능력 검토를 위하여 총 10개의 일방향 반두께 프리캐스트 콘크리트 슬래브를 제작하여 2점 단순 재하를 하였다. 주요변수로서는 상부콘크리트 압축강도, 반두께 슬래브의 표면거칠기, 그리고 인장철근비로 구성되었으며, 실험결과는 다음과 같다. 반두께 프리캐스트 콘크리트 슬래브의 휨설계는 국내 극한강도 설계법에 의한 슬래브 설계방식의 사용이 가능한 것으로 나타났다. 슬래브에 $4000kg/cm^2$이상의 용접철망을 사용할 경우 기존의 규준에 따라 항복응력도를 변형율 0.0035에 해당하는 응력도를 사용하는 것이 안정적인 것으로 나타났다. 용접철망을 사용한 슬래브의 경우 철근 콘크리트 연성평가에 따라 분석한 결과 연성부담능력이 저하되어 용접철망을 경우에는 연성증진을 위한 일반철근을 혼용하는 것이 바람직한 것으로 판단된다.

자치구 포장상태평가등급 기준 개선 및 포장상태 예측지수 개발 (Development of Borough Road Pavement Condition Evaluation Criteria and Prediction Index)

  • OBJECTIVES : This study develops an evaluation method, which is useful to inspect pavement condition of specific boroughs. This is because pavement condition is broadly divided into five grades via visual inspection, which does not consider the types of deteriorations, and is decided by an investigator having a subjective viewpoint. This visual inspection method is not a satisfactory method for accurate maintenance when various deteriorations occur. METHODS : The performance model considers several factors such as crack, rutting, and IRI. This method is also modified from borough SPI based on SPI (Seoul Pavement Index). Considering limited budget of borough, PI (prediction index) is suggested, which is related to the grade of pavement condition evaluation and type of materials. Practical correlation review is also conducted with statistical verification by using the Monte Carlo simulation. RESULTS : The results of the study show that modified criteria are reasonable. First, the comparison between the visual inspection result and the SPI result indicates that the R-square value is sufficiently high. Second, through the common section, each evaluation method could be compared, and the result shows considerable similarity, which increases when the range is modified. Finally, PI for predicting remaining life and the random number SPI have common parts, which means that each indicator would be adequate to be used as an evaluation method. CONCLUSIONS : Comparison and analysis results show that the developed evaluation method is reasonable for specific boroughs where financial support is inadequate for the evaluation process by using the newer equipment. Moreover, for more accurate evaluation method, previous visual inspection data should be utilized, and the database of inspection equipment have to be collected.
