순환식 병류형 곡물건조기 개발(III) - 12톤 용량 건조기 성능평가 - (Development of a Rice Circulating Concurrent-flow Dryer(III) - Performance Evaluation of 12-ton Capacity Dryer -)

  • This study was conducted to evaluate the performance of a 12 tons capacity circulating concurrent flow rice dryer. An actual scale dryer with the capacity of 12 tons was developed to obtain a faster drying rate of 0.8~1.2%(w.b.)/h, while maintaining a lower drying energy consumption of 5,000 kJ/kg-water and achieving a drying quality that was comparable to a conventional cross-flow rice dryer. The Test-1 was conducted at $110^{\circ}C\;-\;20\;cmm/m^2$ and the Test-2 was conducted at $120-110-100-90^{\circ}C\;-\;20\;cmm/m^2$ under the same conditions as Test-1. In Test-1, the drying rate, drying energy consumption and crack ratio were 0.98 %(w.b.)/h, 4,573 kJ/kg-water and 3.2%, respectively. In Test-2, the drying rate, drying energy consumption and crack ratio were 0.74 %(w.b.)/h, 4,790 kJ/kg-water and 4.0%, respectively. The results of these tests demonstrated that this concurrent-flow dryer reached the desired drying rate, drying energy consumption and crack ratio.

열펌프를 이용한 벼의 저온건조성능평가 (Performance Evaluation of Rough Rice Low Temperature Drying Using Heat Pump)

  • 국내 벼 건조기간의 기상조건에 적합한 열펌프를 설계, 제작하여 기본 성능을 측정하고, 건조온도 20-50${^{\circ}C}$ 범위에서 벼 건조실험을 통하여 건조특성 및 소요에너지를 분석하였다. 열펌프는 건압축 냉동 사이클에서 냉동효과는 173.8 kJ/kg이었으며, 냉매순환량은 49.6 kg/hr이었다. 따라서, 성능계수는 5.5로 표준냉동사이클에서 냉매 R-22의 성능계수 4.0에 비해 높은 값을 나타내었으며, 목표 건조공기의 온도 30${^{\circ}C}$ 및 상대습도 40%에 도달하는 시간은 6분 및 7분으로 만족할 만한 수준이었다. 건조온도와 곡온과의 온도차이는 건조온도 21.9${^{\circ}C}$에서는 약 1.5${^{\circ}C}$, 건조온도 48.7${^{\circ}C}$에서는 약 8.5${^{\circ}C}$로서, 건조실에서 상승한 곡온은 템퍼링실에서 충분한 냉각이 이루어지는 것으로 판단되었다. 건조온도 21.9, 30.7 38.8 및 48.7${^{\circ}C}$에서 건조속도는 0.29, 0.61, 0.85 및 1.25%/hr로 나타나 상용건조기와 유사한 수준이었다. 건조온도 21.9${^{\circ}C}$에서 소요에너지는 325 kJ/kg, 건조온도 30.7, 38.8 및 48.7${^{\circ}C}$에서는 667, 692 및 776 kJ/kg로 나타나 외기조건에 따라 건조소요에너지의 차이가 발생했지만, 화석연료를 사용하는 상용 화력건조기의 벼 건조소요에너지 4,000-5,000 kJ/kg에 비해 평균 86% 절감되는 것으로 나타났다.

  • The objective of this study was to develop a portable auger for handling rough rice in bulk. For this purpose, a system analysis was taken for the systems of harvesting, drying, storage and transportation of rough rice and an optimal handling capacity of portable auger was determined. Then a portable auger of which capacity is 9.2 $m^3/h$ (Indica type rough rice, 19.5%, w.b.) was designed and manufactured by design requirements and tested. Test results showed that the performance of portable auger developed satisfied most design requirements.

벼의 열전도계수와 열확산계수에 관한 기초연구 (Fundamental Studies on the Thermal conductivity and Thermal Diffusivity of Rough rice)

  • The knowlege of thermal properties of rough rice has become of greate importance to the analysis of heat and mass transfer phenomenon in rice drying and storage process. Some information is available on the thermal properties of rough rice in foreign countries but is not available for these properties in Korea. A fundamental study was made to determine the thermal conductivity and thermal diffusivity of rough rice with line source method and to select current and resistance suitable for these properties from investigating the effect of current and resistance of heating wire on the temperature rise. The result of this study may be summarized as follows ; 1. Even through the power per unit length of heating wires is about the same, the tendency of temperature rise showed a little difference among them , and the suitable range of it for thermal properties was found to be 3.56-5.37w/m. 2. the most desirable resistance and current of heating wire was 18.40 ohm/m, 0.44 amperes among three kinds of heating wires and currents, respectively. because it took 13 minutes or so for the heating wire to reach equilibrium temperature. 3. The thermal conductivity of rough rice was 0.120-0.130 w/m$ ^\circ C$. and thermal diffusivity of it was $5.8210 $\times10^{-8} -9.7529 $\times10^{-8} m^2 /s.$ 4.The thermal conductivity showed a little difference in variation with resistance of heating wire but the variation of current of heating wire at the same resistance did not affect the thermal conductivity , and the thermal diffusivity was not affected by the variation of resistance and current.
