The purpose of this study was to design a powertrain for a 78 kW AWD (all wheel drive) electric tractor by analyzing the combination of various reduction gear ratios on a commercial motor using data from actual agricultural work and driving conditions. A load measurement system was constructed to collect data using wheel torque meters, proximity sensors, and a data acquisition system. Field experiments for measuring load data were performed for two environmental driving conditions (on asphalt and soil) and four agricultural operations (plow tillage, rotary tillage, loader operation, and baler operation). The attached implements and gear stages were selected through farmer surveys. The range of the reduction ratio was determined by selecting the minimum reduction ratio needed to satisfy the torque condition required for agricultural operations and the maximum reduction gear ratio to satisfy the maximum travel speed. The minimum reduction gear ratio selected was 57 in consideration of the working load condition and the maximum reduction gear ratio selected was 62 considering the maximum running speed. In the range of the reduction gear ratio 57 - 62, the selected motor satisfied all working torque conditions. As a result, the combination of the selected motor and reduction gear ratio was applicable for satisfying the loads required during agricultural operation and driving operation.
Outgassing from such sources as paints, coatings, adhesives and other non-metallic surfaces can contaminate satellites, especially second surface mirror and optical lens, it cause satellite to fail in own missions. The vacuum bake-out test using high temperature(more than $85 ^{\circ}C$)and high vacuum(less than $5.0{\times}1-^{-3}$ Pa) certify that the components of satellite work properly and can survive and operate in space environment like high vacuum. In the bake-out chamber installed at SITC of KARI, Rotary vacuum pump and Booster pump produce low vacuum of 5.0 Pa, and then two cryopumps produce high vacuum of below $5.0{\times}10^{-3}$ Pa. Also 48 ceramic heaters were provided to simulate high temperature. During the vacuum bake-out test, we detected contaminants using RGA(Residual Gas Analyzer) and measure the outgassing rate of the contaminant using the TQCM(Thermoelectric Quartz Crystal Microbalance). Also, IR/UV Spectrometer and witness plate be used to certify that the components were suitable for the spacecraft. This paper includes the preparation and procedures of the bake-out test for SAR(Solar Array Regulator) and MLI(Multi Layer Insulator), which were the components of the spacecraft. Especially, we discussed the methods and results of the contamination measurement. In the bake-out for SAR, the contamination was measured continuously although it was on the decrease from TQCM results. And RCA established that it is a highly polymerized compound. In the MLI bake-out using RGA and witness plate, we didn't detect any contamination materials.

From the ancient times our forefathers settled down in this peninsular and cultivated the hills and waste-lands into fields. Instead of fertilizing the lands they moved to find other fertile lands and lived a feudal life of agriculture and various machines played a main role in the land reclamation. The best method of land clearing, the time and efficiency in the operation and the effect of growing crops should sysematically analized prior to the time of 3rd Five-year Economic Development(1972-1976) in order to cultivated 210,000 ha of waste-land or the modernization of our country. The present study was investigated to find out a new working-system of mechanical land clearing and development of fertile soil. The results are as follows: 1) The land reclamation in natural slope is much more encourageable in land clearing and farming when the slope is below ten grades than bench terrace. 2) Weeds were mixed with soil in the land clearing work in order to supply organic materials and to make soil swollen instead of burning of just removing. 3) The equipments such as bulldozers, harrows, power tillers and so on should be prepared in order to do a systematic work in the land clearing. 4) The work of pulling-up roots is dependent upon the forms of roots spreading under the ground. The work of the pulling-up the straight roots was most difficult. 5) The land clearing work of the wrinkled style blocks was easy in pulling up roots and in the time of first plowing. The harrowing work could also be simply done. 6) The amount of soil carried was $240m^3/10a$, 15.6% increased amount from the standard block, while the required time of clearing work was 2 hours 15 minutes 45 seconds/10a, the one third of time required for the standard block. 7) The time disc harrowing work increased 50%, or 15 minutes/10a compared to the harrowing work required in the cultivated soil. 8) The time of rotary tilling increased 2.4 times or 1 hour 47 minutes 43 seconds/10a compared to the time required in the cultivated soil. 9) The reclamed land should be fertilized according to the soil quality, especially added fertilizer should be more than 1,200kg/10a, limes 20kg/10a. In order to produce added fertilizer grass fields should be needed. 10) The experiment of pasture growing is now progressing and therefore the effect of land clearing and the degree of developed soil will be investigated before long.

The rural labor force has gradually been decreasing due to the decrement of the farm population and the increment of the aging population. To solve these problems, it is necessary to develop and study autonomous agricultural machinery. Therefore, analyzing the dynamic behavior of vehicles in an autonomous agricultural environment is important. Until now, most studies on agricultural machinery, especially on ground vehicle dynamics, have been done by field tests. However, these field test methods are time consuming and costly with seasonal restrictions. A research method that can replace existing field test methods by using simulations is needed. In this study, we did basic research analyzing the effect of the travelling speed of a tractor on tire slip using simulation software. A tractor simulation model was developed based on field conditions following a straight path. The simulation was done for three ranges of speed: 20 - 30 km/h (considered the normal travelling speed range), 6 - 8 km/h (considered the plow tillage speed range) and 2 - 4 km/h (considered the rotary tillage speed range). The results of the simulation show that the slip ratio and slip angle values tended to increase as the traveling speed range of the tractor decreased. From the simulation results, it can be concluded that at low tractor speeds, it becomes more difficult to control the vehicle path. In future research, simulations will be done with various work environments such as a curved path as well as with various friction coefficient conditions, and the simulation results will be experimentally verified by applying them to an agricultural tractor.

Triboelectric nanogenerators (TENG) can produce power from ambient mechanical sources and have strong points of high output performance, light weight, low cost, and easy manufacturing process. It is expected that TENG can be utilized in the fields of wireless electronics and self-powered devices in the world which pays attention to healthcare and the IoT. In this work, we focus on scavenging ambient rotational energy by using a durably designed TENG. In previous studies regarding harvesting rotation mode energy, the devices were based on sliding mechanism and durability was not considered as a major issue. However friction by rotation causes reliability problems due to wear and tear. Therefore, in this study, we convert rotary motion to linear motion utilizing a cam by which we can then utilize contact-mode TENG and improve device reliability. In order to increase output performance, bumper springs were used below the TENG and the optimum value for the bumper spring constant was analyzed theoretically. Furthermore, the inserting a soft substrate was proposed and its effect on high output was determined to be due to an increase in the contact area. By increasing the number of cam noses, the output frequency was shown to increase linearly. For the purpose of maximum power transfer, the input impedance of the device was determined. Finally, to demonstrate the use of the C-TENG as a direct power source, it was installed on a commercial bicycle wheel and connected to 180 LEDs. In conclusion we present a rotational motion TENG energy scavenger system designed for enhanced durability and optimized output by appropriate choice of spring constants and substrate.

Tractor PTO output and fuel consumption rate under the korean paddy and various paddy operations were measured and analyzed, in which all the measurements were accomplished by the OECD tractor test codes and the collected information will be utilized for defining tractor energy efficiency class and its test methods. Tractor PTO performance tests were conducted under full-load, part-load and various engine RPMs with part-load at the engine laboratory, while the paddy operations were dry land plowing, wet and dry land rotary tilling and wet land preparation under various soils. As a whole, the rated tractor outputs were ranged from 17% to 100% in the various tillage and land preparation operations, however, the loads for the paddy operations of 1,700 to 2,000 rpm were very close to the OECD tractor load distribution thus it would be appropriate to adopt OECD tractor test codes to measure energy consumption efficiency of tractor.

Global Environment Laboratory at Yonsei University in Seoul ($37.57^{\circ}N$, $126.95^{\circ}E$) has carried out the ozone layer monitoring program in the framework of the Global Ozone Observing System of the World Meteorlogical Organization (WMO/GAW/GO3OS Station No. 252) since May of 1984. The daily measurements of total ozone and the vertical distribution of ozone amount have been made with the Dobson Spectrophotometer (No.124) on the roof of the Science Building on Yonsei campus. From 2004 through 2006, major parts of the manual operations are automated in measuring total ozone amount and vertical ozone profile through Umkehr method, and calibrating instrument by standard lamp tests with new hardware and software including step motor, rotary encoder, controller, and visual display. This system takes full advantage of Windows interface and information technology to realize adaptability to the latest Windows PC and flexible data processing system. This automatic system also utilizes card slot of desktop personal computer to control various types of boards in the driving unit for operating Dobson spectrophotometer and testing devices. Thus, by automating most of the manual work both in instrument operation and in data processing, subjective human errors and individual differences are eliminated. It is therefore found that the ozone data quality has been distinctly upgraded after automation of the Dobson instrument.

This paper proposes a torque assist strategy for operating a hybrid agricultural tractor in the field. In general, different field operations such as baling and rotary tillage require different patterns and amounts of torque. Thus, a large agricultural tractor is used to improve the farming efficiency. Therefore, this research has the goal of developing a hybrid tractor that uses a small electric motor to provide additional torque for specific field operations. To achieve this objective, a rule-based torque assist strategy is proposed and validated for a simulation model in the Autonomie framework, which is a commercial simulation tool. Finally, the work efficiencies and fuel consumptions of a conventional tractor and the hybrid tractor with the proposed torque assist strategy are compared using simulations.
As consumer in optics, electronics, aerospace and electronics industry grow, the demand for ultra precision aspherical surface lens increases higher. Precision turning with single-diamond tools has a long history of development for fabrication of optical quality surfaces since the advent of aerostatic rotary spindles and precise linear motion guide ways. To enhance the precision and productivity of ultra precision aspherical surface micro lens, the following specification of ultra precision grinding system is required: the highest rotational speed of the grinder is 100,000rpm and its turning accuracy is $0.1{\mu}m$, positioning accuracy is $0.1{\mu}m$. The development process of the grinding system for the ultra precision aspherical surface micro lens for optoelectronics industry is introduced. In the work reported in this paper, an intelligent grinding system for ultra precision aspherical surface machining was designed by considering the factors affecting the surface roughness and profiles accuracy. An aerostatic form was adopted to build the spindle of the workpiece and the spindle of grinder and ultra precision LM guide way was adopted in this system. And this paper deals with mirror grinding of an aspheric surface micro lens by resin bonded diamond wheel and spherical lens of BK7. It results was that a form accuracy of $0.6{\mu}m$ P-V and a surface roughness of $0.006{\mu}m$ Rmax.

In chip plating, several parameters must be taken into consideration. Current density, solution concentration, pH, solution temperature, components volume, chip and media ratio, barrel geometrical shape were most likely found to have an effect to the process yields. The 3 types of barrels utilized in chip plating industry are the onventional rotating barrel, vibrational barrel(vibarrel), and the centrifugal type. Conventional rotating barrel is a close type and is commonly used. The components inside the barrel are circulated by the barrel's rotation at a horizontal axis. Process yield has known to have higher thickness deviation. The vibrational barrel is an open type which offers a wide exposure to electrolyte resulting to a stable thickness deviation. It rotates in a vertical axis coupled with multi-vibration action to facilitate mixed up and easy transportation of components. The centrifugal barrel has its plated work centrifugally compacted against the cathode ring for superior electrical contact with simultaneous rotary motion. This experiment has determined the effect of barrel vibration intensity to the plating thickness distribution. The procedures carried out in the experiment involved the overall plating process., cleaning, rinse, Nickel plating, Tin-Lead plating. Plating time was adjusted to meet the required specification. All other parameters were maintained constant. Two trials were performed to confirm the consistency of the result. The thickness data of the experiment conducted showed thatbthe average mean value obtained from higher vibrational intensity is nearer to the standard mean. The distribution curve shown has a narrower specification limits and it has a reduced variation around the target value. Generally, intensity control in vi-barrel facilitates mixed up and easy transportation of components. However, it is desirable to maintain an optimum vibration intensity to prevent solution intrusion into the chips' internal electrode. A cathodic reaction can occur in the interface of the external and internal electrode. 2H20 + e $\rightarrow$M/TEX> 20H + H2.. Hydrogen can penetrate into the body and create pressure which can cause cracks. At high intensity, the chip's motion becomes stronger, its contact between each other is delayed and so plating action is being controlled. However, the strong impact created by its collision can damage the external electrode's structure there by resulting to bad plating condition.
