동력경운기를 중심으로한 맥류재배의 기계화 -관작업체계 확립에 관한 연구 (Study on the Establishment of Barley Cultivation System using the Power Tiller)

  • To maintain the self-sufficiency of food production , it is required to improved the productivity and increase the effective utilization of land in the double cropping areas using improved cultivation technology. The following reasons encourage this cours of action because the overlapping rice harvest and barely seeding seasons complete for labour, the lower price of barley makes it financially less attractive to grow and these two facts together are responsible for a decrease in barley being planted in certain more seasonably marginal double cropping areas. Fro these reasons, it is desirable to carry out tests to improve the current cultivation techniques . In this interest , the following studies were carried out in the experimental field located at Banweol-myeon, Whasung-jkun, Gyeonggi-do from October 1977 to July 1978 in order to establish the mechanical method of barley cultivation using the power tiller. The summarized results are as follows. 1. The work performance in the seeding operation using the rotary barley seeder was 68 minutes per 10 ares which compares favourably with 408 min/10a using the conventional method. This is only one sixth of the time required by th conventional method. The operating costs using the rotary barley seeder was 1, 463 won per 10 areas as against 3, 486 Won per 10 ares for the conventional method, showing a saving of about 50% in comparison with the conventional method. 2. In the manure spreading operation, the work performance was 25 min/10a for the manure spreading machine , compared to 1089 min/10a for the manual operations. This is about one fourth of the time required by the conventional method, The operating costs were 810 Won/10a for the machine and 857 Won/10a for the manual labour. This cost shows little advantage by the machine over the manual labor costs. The conventional method of manure spreading will continue pending decision which will develope and improve the machine.3. Work performance in the rolling operation using the barley rolIer was 30 min/lOa which compares favourably with 135 min/10a using conventional method. This was one fourth of the time required by the conventional method. The operating costs were 514 Won/103. for the machine and 1, 003 Won/lOa for manual labour. In the weed control operation, the work performance and operating costs were 45min/lOa, 1, 399won/10a for the herbcide application using the power sprayer, 1, 149min/10a 8, 541won/lOa for the conventional method respectively. This is 26 times higher efficiency in comparison to the conventional method. 4. In the harvesting operation using the reaper binder and tiller attachment, the work performance was 60min/lOa and represents a cost of 2, 039won/10a. The con\ulcornerventional method took 640min/10a at a cost of 4, 757won/lOa. The reaper binder showns a saving of one tenth over the conventional method. The automatic thresher is already recommended for the current situations, and is now being used. 5. From a comparison of the results of the above trials, the serial cultivation system using the attachment for the power tiller such as the rotary barley seeder is now to be recommended for the current barley cultivation system. It is also recommend from these results that the mechanized technology now available must be used to improve and maintain the increase in barley production. It is seen th1t this is the only course now avaihble to solve the peak seasonal requirements of labour needed for l11rvesting and seeding between rice and barley cultivation.

  • This paper introduces the performance test of the prototype vehicle, which will be in operation for Urban Maglev Program. While common trains with steel wheels use rotary induction motors for propulsion, maglev trains gain thrust force from linear induction motors maintaining the constant airgap with levitation electromagnets. Therefore, not only the behavior of the linear induction motor should be well understood, but also the way of propulsion that minimizes its effect on the levitation system should be took into account. Performance test procedures of maglev trains are proposed and carried out, and the characteristics of acceleration and deceleration are verified to agree with the design criteria. Tests are mainly performed on the linear section of the test line, and the driving characteristics on the section with a 6‰ incline are examined additionally. As a result, the performance of the prototype vehicle in the reverse operation can satisfy the requirement about the acceleration and deceleration, 4.0$m/s^2$. And, the design modifications of the commercial vehicle and the performance specifications required on the demonstration line are investigated.

  • This experiment was carried out to investigate the efficient turning method which will be able to use every cutting methods, to calculate the width of the center field which must transpose from rotary cutting method to return cutting method, to investigate the effects of L/W and unit field on the operation efficiency. The results are summarized as follows: 1. In case of cutting in the outer field, the efficient turning method is the "$\alpha$" type turning method (half U-shaped turning method) at the first rotation, is the "$\beta$" type turning method (T-shaped turning method) at the second to fourth rotation. 2. In case of cutting in the inner field, the efficient turning method which takes the least turning time is the "a" type turning method ($\Delta$-shaped turning method). 3. The width of the center field (W') changes by the length-width ratio (L/W) and width (W), W' is 9.0m in case that L/W is 2.5 and W is 30m. 4. The larger L/W and area of unit field (A) become, the more operation efficiency (E) increases, and the limits that E is affected signicantly by L/W is 2 to 3.5 and A is within 5,000$m^2$. within 5,000$m^2$.

  • 헬기 시장진입 가능성을 수요측면, 산업구조측면, 인프라측면에서 검토하였다. 검토 결과 일부 부족기술의 확보와 금융과 헬기 관련 제도 등을 보완하면 내수를 중심으로 진입이 가능하다는 결론을 도출하였다. 헬기산업의 성장동력화를 위한 추진전략을 제시하고 전략 달성을 위하여 헬기수요의 지속적 창출, 핵심 부품 소재 육성 및 경쟁우위 기술력 확보, 인증 및 운용활성화 인프라 구축, 금융제도 개선 추진, 그리고 헬기 민 군 관 상시 정책조정기능 강화를 5대 추진과제로 제안하였다.

  • Abstract: In teleoperation field robotic system such as hydraulically actuated robotic excavator, the maneuverability and convenience is the most important part in the operation of robotic excavator. Particularly the force information is important in dealing with digging and leveling operation in the teleoperated excavator. Excavators are also subject to a wide variation of soil-tool interaction forces. This paper presents a new force reflecting joystick in a velocity-force type bilateral teleoperation system. The master system is electrical joystick and the slave system IS hydraulically actuated cylinder with linear position sensor. Particularly Pneumatic motor is used newly in the master joystick for force reflection and the information of the pressure of salve cylinder is measured and utilized as the force feedback signal. Also force-reflection gain greatly affects the excavation performance of a hydraulically actuated robotic system and it is very difficult to determine it appropriately since slave excavator contacts with various environments such as from soft soil to rock. To overcome this, this paper proposes a force-reflection gain selecting algorithm based on artificial neural network and fuzzy logic.

Design and Prototyping of a Novel Type Piezoelectric Micro-pump

  • Using the extensional vibration mode of PZT ring, a piezopump is successfully made. The PZT ring is polarized with thickness direction. The traveling extensional wave along the circumference of the ring is obtained by dividing two standing waves which are temporally and spatially phase shifted by 90 degrees from each other. The proposed piezopump is consisted of coaxial cylindrical shells that are bonded piezoelectric ceramic ring. The pump takes an unobtrusive operation into the simple displacing mechanism using peristaltic traveling waves without the physical moving parts. The finite elements analysis on the proposed pump model is carried out to verify its operation principle and design by the commercial FEM software. Components of piezopump were made, assembled, and tested to validate the concepts of the proposed pump and confirm the simulation results. The performance of the proposed piezopump is about 580 ${\mu}l/min$ in flow rate with the highest pressure level of 0.85 kPa, when the driving voltage is 150 $V_p$, 57 kHz.

고에너지 볼 밀링을 이용한 Y-산화물 분산 Fe-기초내열합금 분말의 합성 및 미세조직 특성 (Synthesis and Microstructure of Fe-Base Superalloy Powders with Y-Oxide Dispersion by High Energy Ball Milling)

  • Fe-base superalloy powders with $Y_2O_3$ dispersion were prepared by high energy ball milling, followed by spark plasma sintering for consolidation. High-purity elemental powders with different Fe powder sizes of 24 and 50 mm were used for the preparation of $Fe-20Cr-4.5Al-0.5Ti-O.5Y_2O_3$ powder mixtures (wt%). The milling process of the powders was carried out in a horizontal rotary ball mill using a stainless steel vial and balls. The milling times of 1 to 5 h by constant operation (350 rpm, ball-to-powder ratio of 30:1 in weight) or cycle operation (1300 rpm for 4 min and 900 rpm for 1 min, 15:1) were applied. Microstructural observation revealed that the crystalline size of Fe decreased with an increase in milling time by cyclic operation and was about 15 nm after 3 h, forming a FeCr alloy phase. The cyclic operation had an advantage over constant milling in that a smaller-agglomerated structure was obtained. The milled powders were sintered at $1100^{\circ}C$ for 30 min in vacuum. With an increase in milling time, the sintered specimen showed a more homogeneous microstructure. In addition, a homogenous distribution of Y-compound particles in the grain boundary was confirmed by EDX analysis.

Work load analysis for determination of the reduction gear ratio for a 78 kW all wheel drive electric tractor design

  • The purpose of this study was to design a powertrain for a 78 kW AWD (all wheel drive) electric tractor by analyzing the combination of various reduction gear ratios on a commercial motor using data from actual agricultural work and driving conditions. A load measurement system was constructed to collect data using wheel torque meters, proximity sensors, and a data acquisition system. Field experiments for measuring load data were performed for two environmental driving conditions (on asphalt and soil) and four agricultural operations (plow tillage, rotary tillage, loader operation, and baler operation). The attached implements and gear stages were selected through farmer surveys. The range of the reduction ratio was determined by selecting the minimum reduction ratio needed to satisfy the torque condition required for agricultural operations and the maximum reduction gear ratio to satisfy the maximum travel speed. The minimum reduction gear ratio selected was 57 in consideration of the working load condition and the maximum reduction gear ratio selected was 62 considering the maximum running speed. In the range of the reduction gear ratio 57 - 62, the selected motor satisfied all working torque conditions. As a result, the combination of the selected motor and reduction gear ratio was applicable for satisfying the loads required during agricultural operation and driving operation.

Experimental study on seismic behavior of two-storey modular structure

  • Due to the unique construction method of modular steel buildings (MSBs) with units prefabricated fully off the site and assembled quickly on the site, the inter-module connection for easy operation and overall performance of the system were key issues. However, it was a lack of relevant research on the system-level performance of MSBs. This study investigated the seismic performance of two-storey modular steel structure with a proposed vertical rotary inter-module connection. Three full-scale quasi-static tests, with and without corrugated steel plate and its combination, were carried out to evaluate and compare their seismic behaviour. The hysteretic performance, skeleton curves, ductile performance, stiffness degradation, energy dissipation capacity, and deformation pattern were clarified. The results showed that good ductility and plastic deformation ability of such modular steel structures. Two lateral-force resistance mechanisms with different layout combinations were also discussed in detail. The corrugated steel plate could significantly improve the lateral stiffness and bearing capacity of the modular steel structure. The cooperative working mechanism of modules and inter-module connections was further analyzed. When the lateral stiffness of upper and lower modular structures was close, limited bending moment transfer may be considered for the inter-module connection. While a large lateral stiffness difference existed initially between the upper and lower structures, an obvious gap occurred at the inter-module connection, and this gap may significantly influence the bending moments transferred by the inter-module connections. Meanwhile, several design recommendations of inter-module connections were also given for the application of MSBs.

Conceptual design and analysis of rotor for a 1-kW-Class HTS rotating machine

  • This paper presents a conceptual design and analysis for a 1-kW-class high-temperature superconducting rotating machine (HTSRM) rotor. The designed prototype is a small-scale integration system of a HTSRM and a HTS contactless rotary excitation device (CRED). Technically, CRED and HTSRM are connected in the same shaft, and it effectively charges the HTS coils of the rotor field winding by pumping fluxes via a non-contact method. HTS coils in rotor pole body and toroidal HTS wire in CRED rotor are cooled and operated by liquid nitrogen in cryogen tank located in inner-most of rotor. Therefore, it is crucial to securely maintain the thermal stability of cryogenic environment inside rotor. Especially, we critically consider not only on mechanical characteristics of the rotor but also on cryogenic thermal characteristics. In this paper, we conduct two main tasks covering optimizing a conceptual design and performing operational characteristics. First, rotor parameters are conceptually designed by analytical design codes. These parameters consider to mechanical and thermal performances such as mechanical strength, mechanical rigidity, and thermal heat losses of the rotor. Second, mechanical and thermal characteristics of rotor for 1-kW-class HTSRM are analyzed to verify the feasible operation conditions. Hence, three-dimensional finite element analysis (3D-FEA) method is used to perform these analyses in ANSYS-Workbench platform.
