Rotary bar 절삭공구 개발 및 성능 평가에 대한 연구 (The Research on Development and Performance of the Rotary bar Cutting tool)

  • Rotary bar was cutting tool being in use for deburring scale after welding metal and for eliminating sharp edges. It was necessary to develop exclusive 6-axis machine being possible to process machining continuously for making an cutting edge of rotary bar and to revise easily machining program. This study aimed at the structural analysis of strength according to the configuration of new made 6-axis machine and at the machining accuracy and durability of rotary bar. As a result of test, the runout of new rotary bar manufactured out of 6-axis machine was decreased from 0.385 mm to 0.027mm extensively than old one. And good cutting ability and durability was obtained equal quality compared with imported products.

MOWING PERFORMANCE OF BUSH CUTTER EQUPPED WITH A FIXED BLADE DEVEOPED TO PREVENT BODILY INJURIES IN OPERATION

  • In order to prevent bodily injuries frequently suffered in using bush cutters, especially from spattered stones, we developed a unique new cutting system equipped with a fixed blade on top of the rotary blade, and checked into the mowing performance of the cutter. From experimental test of mowing efficiency and measuring test of physical stress (O$_2$ consumption and heartbeat rates) , the new cutting system with a fixed blade proved that it keeps good cutting performance with lower peripheral speed of the rotary blade(22m/sec), compared to that of ordinary cutting blade, yielding more safety in operation. Weight of the cutter head is, however, heavier than that of ordinary machine by about 70% which increased a physical stress on the operator with slightly faster heartbeat rates. In mowing along edge of concrete wall, the operator enjoyed using the cutter with no anxiety , owing to function of the fixed blade.

TBE의 굴착성능 평가를 위한 회전식 절삭시험의 적용 (Application of Rotary Cutting Test for Performance Assessment of Tunnel Boring Extender)

  • 본 연구에서는 회전식 절삭시험기를 활용하여 TBE (Tunnel Boring Extender)의 굴착효율을 평가하였다. 회전식절삭시험에서 TBE에 의한 굴착과정을 모사하기 위하여 중앙부가 선행 굴착되어 있는 중공형의 암석모사시험체를 모르타르를 이용하여 제작하였다. 회전식 절삭시험기에 설치된 언더커팅 디스크(undercutting disc cutter, UDC)를 이용하여 나선궤적을 따라 암석을 절삭함으로써 TBE에 의한 굴착과정을 모사하였으며, 언더커팅 디스크의 절삭조건을 변화시켜가며 절삭조건들이 커터작용력 및 비에너지에 미치는 영향을 살펴보았다. 시험결과로부터 UDC의 커터작용력은 반경압입깊이와 수직압입깊이가 증가함에 따라 선형적으로 증가하는 경향을 확인할 수 있었으며, 세 방향의 작용력 중 수직력의 비중이 매우 크게 나타났다. 반면 비에너지는 반경방향과 수직방향 압입깊이에 따라 지속적으로 감소하는 경향을 나타내었고, 특히 두 압입깊이의 비에 따라 비에너지가 최소화되는 지점이 나타날 것으로 판단되었다.

로우터리 맥류파종기 경운날의 개량시험 (Improvement of Rotary Tine for Barley Seeder Attached to Rotary Tiller)

  • The use of barley seeder attached to rotary tiller in the rural area has a significant meaning not only for the solution of labor peak season, but also for the increase of land utilization efficiency. The facts that presently being used barley seeders are all based on the mechanical principles of the reverse rotation, center drive and are all using forward rotating tine, which is used to be easily and heavily worn out when it rotates reversely, raise problem of recommending them to rural area in Korea. Therefore, the main objective of the study was to develop new type of rotary tine attachable to barley seeders. To attain the objective the following approaches were applied. (1) The kinematic analysis of reverse rotating barley seeders. (2) The studies on the soil bin and artificial soil. (3) The comparative experiment on the power requirement of prototype tine. The results obtained from the studies are summarized as follow: 1. The kinematic analysis of barley seeder attached to rotary tiller: The following results were obtained from the kinematic analysis for deriving general formulae of the motion and velocity characterizing the rotary tine of barley seeders presently being used by farmers. a) The position vector (P) of edge point (P) in the rotary tine of reverse rotating, center drive was obtained by the following formula. $$P=(vt+Rcos wt)i+Rsin wt j+ \{ Rcos \theta r sin \alpha cos (wt- \beta +\theta r) +Rsin \theta r sin \alpha sin (wt-\beta + \theta r) \} lk $$ b) The velocity of edge point $(P^')$ of reverse rotating, center drive rotary tine was obtained by the following formula. $$(P^')=(V-wR sin wt)i+(w\cdot Rcoswt)j + \{ -w\cdot Rcos \theta r\cdot sin \alpha \cdot sin (wt-\beta +\theta r) + w\cdot Rsin \theta r\cdot sin \alpha \cdot cos (wt- \beta + \theta r \} k $$ c) In order to reduce the power requirement of rotary tine, the angle between holder and edge point was desired to be reduced. d) In order to reduce the power requirement, the edge point of rotary tine should be moved from the angle at the begining of cutting to center line of machine, and the additional cutting width should be also reduced. 2. The studies on the soil bin and artificial soil: In order to measure the power requirement of various cutting tines under the same physical condition of soil, the indoor experiments Viere conducted by filling soil bin with artificially made soil similar to the common paddy soil and the results were as follows: a) When the rolling frequencies$(x)$ of the artificial soil were increased, the densIty$(Y)$ was also increased as follows: $$y=1.073200 +0.070780x - 0.002263x^2 (g/cm^3)$$ b) The absolute hardness $(Y)$ of soil had following relationship with the rolling frequencies$(x)$ and were increased as the rolling frequencies were increased. $$Y=37.74 - \frac {0.64 + 0.17x-0. 0054x^2} {(3.36-0.17x + 0.0054x^2)^3} (kg/cm^3)$$ c) The density of soil had significant effect on the cohesion and angle of internal friction of soil. For instance, the soil with density of 1.6 to 1.75 had equivalent density of sandy loam soil with 29.5% of natural soil moisture content. d) The coefficient of kinetiic friction of iron plate on artificial soil was 0.31 to 0.41 and was comparable with that of the natural soil. e) When the pulling speed of soil bin was the 2nd forward speed of power tiller, the rpm of driving shaft of rotary was similar to that of power tiller, soil bin apparatus is indicating the good indoor tester. 3. The comparative experiment on the power requirement of prototype tine of reverse rotating rotary: According to the preliminary test of rotary tine developed with various degrees of angle between holder and edge pcint due to the kinematic analysis, comparative test between prototype rotary tine with $30 ^\circ $ and $10 ^\circ$ of it and presently being used rotary tine was carried out 2nd the results were as follows: a) The total cutting torque was low when the angle between holder and edge point was reduced. b) $\theta r$ (angle between holder and edge point) of rotary tine seemed to be one: of the factors maximizing the increase of torque. c) As the angle between holder and edge point ($\theta r$) of rotary tine was $30 ^\circ $ rather than $45 ^\circ $, the angle of rotation during cutting soil was reduced and the total cutting torque was accordingly reduced about 10%, and the reduction efficiency of total cutting torque was low when the angle between holder and edge point ($\theta r$) of rotary tine was $10 ^\circ $, which indicates that the proper angle between holder and edge point of rotary tine should be larger than $10 ^\circ $ and smaller than $30 ^\circ $ . From above results, it could be concluded that the use of the prototype rotary tine which reduced the angle between holder and edge point to $30 ^\circ $, insted of $45 ^\circ $, is disirable not only decreasing the power requirements, but also increasing the durabie hour of it. Also forward researches are needed, WIlich determine the optimum tilted angle of rotary brocket, and rearrangement of the rotary tine on the rotary boss.

하이포이드 회전감속기의 가속 수명시험 방법에 관한 연구 (A Study on Accelerated Life Test of Hypoid Gear Rotary Reducer)

  • In order to process more complicated and higher-precision parts, generally, an additional axis for a machine tool is needed which was an approach to minimize the cost of tool modification. A table with a rotary reducer that can rotate through the axis of the gear system was employed to a machine tool to achieve the purpose of adding an extra motion axis. In general, the motion of the rotary reducer is driven by a worm/wheel or helical gear system, which is different from the hypoid helical gear structure that used in this research. Reliability of guarantee of high accurancy throughout the whole life cycle is on of the critical factors to evaluate a rotary reducer in this field. In this paper, in order to evaluate life-time of rotary reducer, a low-cost accelerated life test was developed to satisfy the demands of clients.

볏짚 시용(施用) 답(畓)의 Rotary 경운시(耕耘時) 날의 궤적(軌跡) 진입각(進入角)이 볏짚 감김에 미치는 영향(影響) (Effects of Edged Curve Angle of Rotary Blade on Entwining Spreaded Rice Straw in Paddy)

  • 볏짚을 토양표면(土壤表面)에 살포(撒布)한 답(沓)을 동력경운기(動力耕耘機)의 Rotary로 경운작업(耕耘作業)할 때 볏짚이 Rotary 경운(耕耘)날과 축(軸)에 볏짚이 감기는 것을 방지(防止)기 위(爲)하여 토양함수비(土壤含水比)(30%, 39%, 59%) (d.b.)와 볏짚의 절단(切斷)길이 (30cm, 45cm, 90cm), 경운(耕耘)날의 궤적진입각(軌跡進入角)($30^{\circ}$, $40^{\circ}$, $50^{\circ}$, $55^{\circ}$, $60^{\circ}$, $70^{\circ}$, Rotary의 전진속도(前進速度)(저속 l단, 저속 2 단, 저속 3단) 에 변화(變化)를 주어 충남(忠南) 유성(儒城)의 점질양토(粘質壤土)의 답(沓)에서 아끼바레 볏짚을 10a 당(當) 450kg 시용(施用)하고 각(各)처리구별(處理區別)로 경폭(耕幅) 30cm, 길이 5m의 포장(圃場)에서 볏짚 감김량(量)을 조사분석(調査分析)하였으며 실험결과(實驗結果)를 요약(要約)하면 다음과 같다. 1, Rotary 경운(耕耘)날의 궤적진입각(軌跡進入角) $55^{\circ}$ 이상(以上)이고 토양함수비(土壤合水比)가 30%(d.b.), 볏짚의 절단(切斷)길이가 30cm일 때 볏짚의 감김현상(現像)이 나타나지 않았다. 경운(耕耘)날의 궤적진입각(軌跡進入角)은 토양(土壤)의 절삭저항(切削抵抗), 경운소요동력(耕耘所要動力)과 볏짚의 감김현상(現像)을 함께 고려(考慮)하여 검토(檢討)되어야 할 사항(事項)이나 볏짚의 감김작용(作用)만을 고려(考慮)할 때 경운(耕耘) 날의 궤적진입각(軌跡進入角)은 $55^{\circ}$ 이상(以上) 유지(維持)되어야 한다. 2. 토양함수비(土壤合水比)가 30%(d.b.)일 때 볏짚의 감김량(量)이 최소직(最少直)를 나타내었으며 경운(耕耘)날의 진입각(進入角)이 $55^{\circ}$ 이상(以上)일 때 볏짚의 감김현상(現像)이 나타나지 않았다. 따라서 볏짚 시용답(施用沓)의 Rotary 경운작업(耕耘作業)은 건기(乾期)를 이용(利用)하여 작업(作業)해야 할 것으로 사료(思料)된다. 3. 볏짚의 절단(切斷)길이가 30cm 이고 경운(耕耘)날의 궤적진입각(軌跡進入角)이 $55^{\circ}$ 이상(以上)일 때 볏짚의 감김량(量)이 없었으며 볏짚의 절단(切斷)길이는 30cm 정도(程度)가 볏짚 시용답(施用沓)의 Rotary 작업가능(作業可能) 최장(最長)길이며 볏짚의 절단(切斷)길이가 30cm 이상(以上)일 때는 Rotary 경운작업(耕耘作業)에 불리(不利)하다. 4. Rotary 전진속도(前進速度)가 증가(增加)하연 볏짚의 감김량(量)도 완만(緩慢)하게 증가(增加)하였으며 볏짚이 시용(施用)된 답(沓)의 Rotary 작업(作業)은 저속 1 단 (0.35m/s)이 좋은 것으로 사료(思料)된다.

과채류 접목시스템 개선 연구 (A Study on Performance Improvement of Fruit Vegetables Automatic Grafting System)

  • 접수 및 대목 줄기의 회전 절단으로 인한 접목 불량 발생 가능성에 대한 문제점을 해결하기 위하여 수학적 분석 및 고속카메라를 이용하여 실측한 결과 칼날 회전반경 50mm이고 줄기직경이 5mm 일 때, 깊이는 0.11mm인 것으로 계산되어 줄기부 곡면 절단에 따른 문제는 없을 것으로 사료된다. 또한 접목시스템에서 모종 줄기를 잡는 그립퍼의 최적 형상 설계를 위하여 실시한 모종 줄기 압축시험 결과 대목의 경우 0.8mm 이상, 접수의 경우 0.6mm 이상의 범위에서 줄기부를 압축 할 경우 이전 형상으로 완전히 복원되지 않는 것으로 조사되어 그립퍼 형상 설계 시 그럼퍼 간격 결정에서 고려해야 할 것으로 사료된다. 또한 접목시기인 토마토 모종의 경우 줄기의 휨이 평균 10도 전후 인 것으로 조사되어 접목불량이 발생할 가능성이 있으므로 이를 개선하기 위한 추가 연구가 필요할 것으로 사료된다. 최적핑거 형상 시험에서는 모서리핑거 형상이 핑거간 거리 조정을 통해 정확한 중앙점을 잡을 수 있는 것으로 조사되었다. 핑거간 거리는 접수와 대목에 대해 각각 2.5mm와 3.0mm로 설정하고 신축성 있는 재질을 이용하여 1mm 두께로 코팅을 하면 대부분의 모종 줄기를 상처없이 파지 할 수 있을 것으로 조사되었다.

  • The CAD/CAM system for the manufacturing automation is the newest technology in mechanical engineering area and becomes the important research subject nowadays. Most of all hardwares and softwares for the CAD/CAM system used in the our manufacturing companies such as automobile company are developed by the foreign country and the purchasing price of them is very expensive but their applicability to a certain area is very limited. This study was conducted to develope a CAD/CAM system for the design and the automatic manufacturing of the iron pattern shaped with 3 - dimensional free curved surface, and to test its applicability to the design and the manufacturing of the rotary blade. The results obtained from the study are as follow; 1. The CAD system which can process graphic procedures from the free curved surface shaped data was developed with personal computer. 2. The CAM main program was developed. This main program could produce CL data from CAD data file by checking the tool interference according to the cutting mode. 3. The sub. program which can simulate the tool trace from the CL data was developed. 4. The post processor for the Deckel FP2NC NC milling machine from CL data file was developed and the sub program could transmit NC program through modem to NC milling machine was developed. 5. The developed CAM system seemed to be applicable to any other system. Because the measuring results of the cross sectional thickness of the plastic model from the manufacturing iron pattern by the system showed that this system could properly check the tool interference. 6. In took 75~90 hours to manufacture two iron patterns of rotary blade. For the sake of convenience in applying to the other systems, this system was developed in BASIC and FORTRAN computer language and minimum portion of machine language as possible.

  • Recently, the machine tools called multi-task machines, which mounted rotary axes on the table or spindle are used increasingly. Accordingly, multi-task machine tool takes a growing interest on the motion accuracy of feed drive system. In this study, measurement and diagnosis of motion errors ware attempted from circular pattern obtained by using DBB (Double ball bar) device. Those were obtained at both clockwise and counter clockwise motions in mutually perpendicularly intersecting three planes. The reliability of error measurement system for multi-task machine tool was verified by the direct test cutting.
