These experiments were conducted to promote the rooting in tea cutting bymeans of several root media, growth regulators, cutting material and cutting condition The results are summarized as follows. The rate of rooting was higher in the softwood than in the hardwood, and the best cutting season was about August 10 in the hardwood, about April 10 in the softwood. The most suitable root medium was the Masato at which the rate of rooting was 71%, 87% each in the softwood and in the hardwood. When growth regulators, such as oxyberon, rootone were sprayed upon the hardwood, the rate of rooting was promoted to 4 - 9 % better than that of no treatment. But such a good effect was not recognized significantly in the softwood.

This experiment was carried out to establish the optimum cutting time, plant growth regulator, and bed-soil for rooting by greenwood cutting of Schisandra chinensis. Approximately 7 cm long-shoots of greenwood cuttings were transplanted by various cutting times, plant growth regulators, and bed-soils in the plastic-film house. The rooting rate of greenwood cutting was 12.5% in the April 5th, 73.5% in the May 8th, and 75.5% in the August 5th. The number and length of primary root in greenwood cutting were more in the early May than those in the early August. For mass propagation of Schisandra chinensis. using greenwood cutting, shoots were treated with plant growth regulators on May to increase rooting rate. Rooting rate was 100% with IAA $50mg/{\ell}$, 92.9% with NAA $100mg/{\ell}$, and NAA $1,000mg/{\ell}$, for 60 min. To select effective media for rooting, various medias for bed-soil were treated by single and mixture form for 100 days after cutting. Rooting rate was 91.8% in the single treatment of peat moss or decomposition of granite soil, and this result was better than those in other treatment. The treatment by 1 : 1 mixture of peat moss and horticulture bed soil was rooting with 94.0% best rooting rate.

This study was carried out to investigate the growth and rooting of cutting time, media and plug cell size in Dianthus spp and Coreopsis spp. A rooting rate was the low in lated rooting time rooting rate was the over 90% in 20th May and 20th August otherwise was the 82% and 87% in 20th September. Media of rooting was the over the 90% in all treatment media and sand media was low. Number of rooting was the best in peatmoss(1)+perlite(1) media. The size of plug cell was the 98% in 162 plug cell in Coreopsis spp. The 162-200 plug cell size was the 95.8-96% in Dianthus spp.
This study was conducted to determine the three main factors [rooting time, plant growth regulators (PGRs), rooting medium] of cuttage for mass production of Sageretia thea. The experiment was observed on cuttage tray after 120 days and classified by rooting times, plant growth regulators, rooting medium. Materials were collected from natural habitats of S. thea from the Korean peninsula at March, July and September during 2019. As a result of the experiment, rooting times were showed statistically significant differences. March group's rooting rate and root length were 15 and 200% better than others. In PGRs experiment by concentration, There was no significant correlation between the control and experiment in terms of rooting rate. However, In the case of root length, IBA 500 mg/L, IBA 250 mg/L and IAA 1,000 mg/L groups were lengthened up to 170% compared to the control group, confirming statistically significant differences. As a result, we recommend treating cuttings with IBA 500 mg/L in March with Hardwood cutting.
To establish the mass propagation methods of Weigela subsessilis,, a promising native plant species for horticultural use, several factors influencing rooting from stem cuttings were evaluated. Softwood cuttings showed best rooting rate, 70~77%, in all the cutting media tested, 2.8 times more than hardwood cuttings in which perlite was best medium. The rooting from hardwood cuttings was promoted by higher concentration of all growth regulators used,500 mg.L$^{-1}$ NAA being the best with 80%. More than 80% of softwood cuttings treated by growth regulators produced roots, especially 100, 500, and 1000mg.L$^{-1}$ NAA producing 97%. Roofings from semi-wood cuttings was enhanced by all the growth regulators, except 1000 mg.L$^{-1}$ concentration in which rooting was reduce. Higher rooting rate was obtained by higher concentration and longer soaking duration of NAA in case of hardwood cutting. Softwood cutting showed 100 % rooting by soaking treatment with 500 mg.L$^{-1}$ NAA for 3 min. Rooting rate of semi-hardwood cuttings was promoted by higher concentration and longer soaking with growth regulators, However, the degree of improvement was lower than soft and hardwood cutting.

In order to develop an efficient in vitro micropropagation technique for a rare plant species, Astragalus membranaceus Bunge var. alpinus N., shoot proliferation and in vitro or in vivo rootings were conducted and hyperhydrated leaf generated from cultures was histologically observed. During shoot induction, no distinct effect on multiple shoot induction was found between BA and kinetin treatment. BA enhanced the number of internodes, whereas kinetin stimulated shoot elongation. Hyperhydrated leaf composed of bigger cells and retarded palisade parenchyma and showed irregular cell arrangement compared to normal leaf. Especially starch content in hyperhydrated leaf was significantly reduced. The best rooting rate was achieved by B5 medium among three different medium (B5, MS and WPM) and 0.1mg/L IBA treatment induced the highest rooting ratio (80%). No statistical difference was induced by explant types (apical bud or axillary bud) in terms of rooting ratio. In vivo cutting induced rooting rate up to 65% by 0.5% IBA/Talc powder treatment. Although in vivo rooting rate was less efficient compared to in vitro rooting, better survival rate was observed after soil acclimatization. Present study suggested that above micropropagation techniques can be used for rapid multiplication as well as in vitro or in vivo conservation of the species.
This study was carried out to investigate mass propagation technique by using seed and vegetative propagation of Kalopanax pictus Nakai. For developing seed propagation, seed stratification and 1$0^{\circ}C$ after-ripening treatment induced embryo growth within 1 weeks, resulted in increasing germination rate of seeds up to more than 65% when planted. The softwood cutting using one year old shoot increased rooting rate to 69% whereas more than 1 year old shoot looked like inappropriate for cutting propagation. In the cutting timing, the rooting rate on June, 13 cutting of the first growth shoot was the highest, followed by June 20 and July 4. The most efficient cutting timing seemed to be the middle of June. When cutted shoots were soaked for 30 minute with IBA and NAA 1000mg.$L^{-1}$, rooting rate was increased above 70%. As the concentrations of plant hormone were increased above 2000mg.$L^{-1}$, the rooting rate was slowly decreased.
Experiments were conducted to find out varietal responses of low temperature; 14$^{\circ}C$ and 12$^{\circ}C$. at rooting stage of the recommended rice varieties in middle boreal area. The varieties showed discoloration resistance are Sobaegbyeo. Baegambyeo. Hwaseongbyeo Chiagbyeo. Dobongbyeo and Daeseongbyeo. varieties wi th no root growing under low temperature are Taebaegbyeo. Samgangbyeo. Baegyangbyeo. Pungsanbyeo and Sangpungbyeo. The varieties showed dark green leaf color and high rooting rate are Sangpungbyeo. Chiagbyeo. Odaebyeo. Unbongbyeo. Dobongbyeo. Hwaseongbyeo. Sobaegbyeo and Daeseongbyeo. light-green of leaf color and low rate of rooting are Taebaegbyeo. Baegyangbyeo. Samgangbyeo and Nongbaegbyeo.

This study was conducted to estimate rooting and shooting in single-node cuttings (SNC) of roses 'Rote Rose' and 'Teresa' to several conditions: growth stage, node position, and leaf area of cutting, so that single-stemmed roses (SSR) could be used in rose factory system. There was no effects of growth stage of flowering shoots far cutting on the rooting and shooting of SNC in both of the two cultivars. However, the node position and leaf area of cuttings significantly affected the rooting and shooting of SNC: the speed was accelerated with larger leaf area and upper node cuttings, but the rate showed little difference as above 95%. Based on above results, rooting and shooting in SNC was forced by leaf area mainly, followed by node positions. On the other hand, flowering rate of shoots from SNC was improved mainly with larger leaf area in cuttings. Shoots of 45cm-longer, qualified for rose factory system, increased with lower node and larger leaf area significantly. Therefore, it could be said that the potential growth of shoots from SNC would be influenced mainly by leaf area, followed by node position on cutting.
