  • Roll을 사용한 mastication에 의한 polystyrene(단독시와 rubber와의 blend시)의 기계적 분열에 대하여 검토한 결과는 다음과 같다. 1) Polystyrene 단독시의 기계적 분열속도는 Goto가 밝힌 중합도$(P_t-P_{\infty})$에 관하여 2차인 다음식에 적합함을 알았다. $-\frac{dP_t}{dt} = k_s(P_t-P_{\infty})^2$2 2)Polystyrene-rubber (SBR, BR) blend계에서 polystyrene성분의 분열은 단독시와 비스하게 일어났다. 3)본 실험 조건하에서 polystyrene-rubber (SBR, BR) blend계에서, polystyrene성분의 분열속도도 단독시와 같이 상기한 2차식에 근사적으로 적합됨을 알았다.

Development of Flight Control Laws for the T-50 Advanced Supersonic Jet Trainer

  • The T-50 advanced supersonic jet trainer employs the Relaxed Static Stability (RSS) concept to improve the aerodynamic performance while the flight control system stabilizes the unstable aircraft and provides adequate handling qualities. The T-50 flight control laws employ a proportional-plus-integral type controller based on a dynamic inversion method in longitudinal axis and a proportional type controller based on a blended roll system with simple roll rate feedback and beta-betadot feedback system. These control laws are verified by flight tests with various maneuver set flight envelopes and the control laws are updated to resolve flight test issues. This paper describes several concepts of flight control laws used in T-50 to resolve those flight test issues. Control laws for solving the roll-off problem during pitch maneuver in asymmetric loading configurations, improving the departure resistance in negative angle of attack conditions and enhancing the fine tracking performance in air-to-air tracking maneuvers are described with flight test data.

Ultra-fine Grained Aluminum Alloy Sheets fabricated by Roll Bonding Process

  • Ultra-fine grained (UFG) Al alloys, which have submicron grain structures, are expected to show outstanding high strength at ambient temperature and excellent superplastic deformation at elevated temperatures and high strain rate. In order to get the UFG microstructure, various kind of severe plastic deformation (SPD) processes have been developed. Among these processes, accumulative roll bonding (ARB) process is a promising process to make bulky Al sheets with ultrafine grained structure continuously. The purpose of the present study is to clarify the grain refinement mechanism during the ARB process and to investigate on the effects of ultra-fine grained structure on the mechanical properties. In addition, UFG AA8011 alloy (Al-0.72wt%Fe-0.63wt%Si) manufactured by the ARB had fairly large tensile elongation, keeping on the strength. In order to clarify the reason for the increase of elongation in the UFG AA8011 alloy, detailed microstructural and crystallographic analysis was performed by TEM/Kikuchi-line and SEM/EBSP method. The unique tensile properties of the UFG AA8011 alloy could be explained by enhanced dynamic recovery at ambient temperature, owing to the large number of high angle boundaries and the Al matrix with high purity.

  • In South Korea, to evaluate the rollover safety of domestic vehicles, the maximum slope angle of the vehicle is specified, which is verified by the rollover safety test of driving vehicles. However, the domestic rollover safety test is not suitable for buses, because the small amount of static stability factor (SSF) will invalidate the rollover experimental equation due to the high center of mass position of buses. To solve the above problems, a dynamic model of the bus is prepared with assumptions of mass and suspension spring properties. Subsequently, the maximum slope angle of the model was computed by using the simulation of multi-body dynamics, and the result was compared with actual test results to validate the dynamics model. Also, the rollover Fishhook (roll stability) test was conducted in the simulation for driving model. During the simulation, roll angle and roll rate were calculated to check if a rollover occurred. Through the rollover simulation of buses, the domestically regulated formula for rollover safety and the procedure of rollover test for driving vehicles are evaluated. The conclusion is that the present regulation of rollover test should be reconsidered for buses to ensure to get the valid results for rollover safety.

정밀 직교 피딩 로봇시스템 적용 롤 밴딩 공정 기술 개발 (Development of roll bending process technology applied precision orthogonal feeding robot system)

  • 본 연구는 기피공정중 하나인 롤밴딩 공정의 자동화시스템을 평가하였다. 그 결과 기존 1시간에 20개의 장약통을 생산하는 효율성을 1시간에 50개를 생산하는 공정으로 변화시켰다. 생산량의 평균값은 1시간당 57.6개의 생산, 반복정밀도의 오차는 0.03mm, 평균 롤 직경 오차값은 0.49mm, 평균 정렬 오차값은 0.09mm, 평균 공정리드타임은 43.21초로 나타났다. 생산성, 반복정밀도, 불량률, 얼라인 불량률, 공정 리드타임 등 구체적인 평가 방식을 제시하였다. 이를 통하여 자동화된 시스템을 검증하였다. 추후 본 연구에 수행된 내용들이 다른 자동화 시스템의 검증에 도움이 될 것으로 사료된다.

저궤도 위성의 태양 전지판 전개 판단

  • 태양 전지판의 전개 여부는 저궤도 위성의 발사 성공 여부를 판단하는 가장 중요한 항목 중 하나이다. 태양 전지판이 성공적으로 전개되어야만 태양 지향 자세제어에 의해 위성 운용에 필요한 전력 생성이 가능하기 때문이다. 그러므로 발사 후 지상국 교신을 통해 최우선적으로 태양 전지판의 전개 여부를 판단한다. 태양 전지판의 전개 여부는 다양한 실패 상황에 가정해 총 5가지 조건을 통해 판단한다. 첫째, SAR1, SAR2의 입력 전류가 모두 0.8A보다 커야 한다. 만약 하나라도 0.8A 미만이라면 한 개 이상의 태양 전지판이 전개되지 않고 1번 태양 전지판이 태양 지향을 하지 못하는 상황이다. 둘째, SAR1 입력 전류와 SAR2 입력 전류의 값이 유사해야 한다. 만약 입력 전류 값이 크게 차이가 난다면 2번과 3번 태양 전지판 중 하나만 태양 지향을 하는 경우이다. 셋째, CSSA#5 출력 전류가 3.2mA보다 커야 한다. 만약 3.2mA보다 작다면 2번과 3번 태양 전지판의 전개가 실패하고 1번 태양 전지판이 태양 지향을 하는 경우 또는 1번 태양 전지판이 전개 실패하고 태양 지향을 하는 경우이다. 넷째, S/C Roll, Pitch, Yaw rate이 모두 0.2 deg/sec 보다 작아야 한다. 만약 body rate이 크다면 1번 태양 전지판의 전개 실패 상황을 예상할 수 있다. 다섯째, 각 태양 전지판의 온도 차이가 $35^{\circ}C$ 보다 작아야 한다. 만약 온도 차이가 크다면 1번 태양 전지판 전개 실패 상황에서 2번과 3번 태양 전지판이 태양 지향을 하는 경우이다. 총 다섯 가지의 조건을 모두 만족해야만 태양 전지판이 성공적으로 전개되었다고 판단한다. 태양 전지판의 전개 판단은 위성이 발사체에서 분리되고 약 4500초 이후 시점에 스발바드 지상국과의 교신을 통해 확인되었다. 이 시점의 SAR1 입력 전류는 약 2.00A, SAR2 입력 전류는 약 1.93A였기 때문에 모두 0.8A보다 크고 서로 유사한 값임을 확인했다. CSSA#5의 출력 전류는 약 3.5mA의 값을 나타냈다. S/C Roll rate은 -0.0084 deg/sec, Pitch rate은 -0.0072 deg/sec, Yaw rate은 -0.0303 deg/sec의 값을 나타냈다. 각 태양 전지판의 최대 온도 차이는 $7.7^{\circ}C$의 값을 나타냈다. 5가지 조건을 모두 만족함으로써 태양 전지판 전개는 성공적으로 수행된 것으로 판단했다.

대형 트럭의 선회 주행특성 해석을 위한 컴퓨터 모델의 개발 (Development of a Computer Model for the Turning Maneuver Analysis of a Heavy Truck)

  • this paper develops a computational model for the turning maneuver analysis of a cabover type heavy truck. The model having 42 degree-of-freedom is developed using ADAMS. Leaf springs used in the front and rear suspension systems are modeled by dividing it three links and joining them with joints. Force and displacement relationship showing nonlinear hysteric characteristics of the leaf spring is measured and modeled with an exponential function. A velocity and force relationship of a shock absorber is measured and modeled with a spline function. And a stabilizer bar is modeled using ADAMS beam element to consider a twisting and bending effect. To verify the developed model an actual vehicle test is performed in the double lane change course with 50kph and 60kph vehicle velocity. In the actual vehicle test lateral acceleration roll angle and yaw rate are measured, The tendency and peak-to-peak values of the actual vehicle test and simultion results are compared each other.

능동 현가장치가 차량의 핸들링에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 (A study on the effects of active suspension upon vehicle handling)

  • This paper develops a 7 DOF vehicle model to study the effects of the active suspension on ride. The model is used to derive a control law for the active suspension using a full state linear optimal control technique. A wheelbase preview type active suspension is also considered in the control law derivation. The time delay between wheelbases is approximated using Pade approximation technique. The ride model is extended to a 14 DOF handling model. The 14 DOF handling model includes lateral, longitudinal, yaw and four wheel spin motions in addition to the 7 DOF ride model. A control law which is derived considering only ride related parameters is used to study the effects of the active suspension on a vehicle handling. J-turn maneuver simulation results show that the active suspension has a slower response in lateral acceleration and yaw rate, a bigger steady state lateral acceleration and an oversteer tendency. Lane changing maneuver simulation results show that the active suspension has a little bigger lateral acceleration but a much smaller roll angle and roll motion. Braking maneuver simulation results show that the active suspension has a much smaller pitch angle and pitch motion.

프레임을 유연체로 고려한 대형트럭 컴퓨터 모델의 개발 (Development of a Computer Model of a Large-sized Truck Considering the Frame as a Flexible Body)

  • This paper develops a computer model for estimating the handling of a cabover type large-sized truck. The truck is composed of front and rear suspension systems, a frame, a cab, and ten tires. The computer model is developed using ADAMS. A shock absorber, a rubber bush, and a leaf spring aunt a lot on the dynamic characteristic of the vehicle. Their stiffness and damping coefficient are measured and used as input data of the computer model. Leaf springs in the front and rear suspension systems are modeled by dividing them three links and joining them with joints. To improve the reliability of the developed computer model, the frame is considered as a flexible body. Thus, the frame is modeled by finite elements using MSC/PATRAN. A mode analysis is performed with the frame model using MSC/NASTRAN in order to link the frame model to the computer model. To verify the reliability of the developed computer model, a double lane change test is performed with an actual vehicle. In the double lane change, lateral acceleration, yaw rate, and roll angle are measured. Those test results are compared with the simulation results.

  • This work describes the effect of the number of roll pressing and the composition of carbon black on the electric and mechanical properties of carbon-PTFE electrode, in which composition is MSP20 : carbon black : $PTFE\;=\;95-X\;:\;X\;:\;5wt.\%$. It was found that the best electric and mechanical properties were obtained for sheet electrode roll pressed about 15 times and for sheet electrode, in which composition is MSP20 : carton black $PTFE\;=\;80\;:\;15\;:\;5wt.\%$. These behaviors could be explained by the network structure of PTFE fibrils and conducting Paths linked with carbon blacks, respectively. On the other hand, cell capacitor using the sheet electrode with $15wt.\%$ of carbon black attached on aluminum current collector with the electric conductive adhesive, in composition is carbon black $CMC\;=\;70\;:\;30wt.\%$, has exhibited the best rate capability between $0.5\;mA/cm^2\~100\;mA/cm^2$ current density and the lowest ESR.
