Industrial design aiming the mutual benefit of both user and manufacturer demands grasping and analyzing the needa and wants of consumer for the establishrment of the optimum plan and production by attribute oriented approach. Inspite of its usefulness, however, it might be impossible to help industrial designers to develop a new product effectively without full understanding of industrial design activity in attributes of products and using the appropriate methodology for grasping the main attributes. This thesis is purposed for developing the guideline of research models of consumer for industrial design by studying characteristics of industrial design activity in attributes of products through bibliography and defining the clear limit of design research focused on consumer selection through comparison with real purchase decision making procedure at every phase. Through the observation and analysis of the real purchase decision making procedure following the proposed guideline, the possibility of difference between the two cases has been shown in both theoretical and practical aspects.

Gastric cancer is the second cause of cancer that is related to death and the fourth most common cancer, worldwide. Complete resection of cancer is the only curative treatment for gastric cancer. However, even if complete resection is possible, recurrence is frequently observed in Gastric patients. Therefore, adjuvant treatment modality for resectable gastric cancer is needed to increase the survival of patients. This study wants to describe the role of adjuvant chemotherapy for resectable gastric cancer, with updated data of recent studies. Several meta-analysis studies demonstrated a benefit of adjuvant chemotherapy for resectable gastric cancer. Due to the heterogeneity of the population and regimens, there is no consensus regarding the adjuvant chemotherapy. Recently published, well designed phase III studies demonstrated the statistically significance of adjuvant chemotherapy for the resectable gastric cancer, with the extended lymph node dissection. Further phase III trials, to determine the best regimen and schedule of adjuvant chemotherapy, was suggested to use the fluoropyrimidine based regimen as control group.

Since mid-1990, the global trade environments has been rapidly changing in many sectors due to the advancement of information technology. Of which an international trade e-Marketplace is one that has been playing a crucial role. The international trade e-Marketplace has the potential to accelerate existing trends and new ways of conducting trade. Nevertheless, e-Marketplace seems to have not been facilitated because many traders do not fully understand about performance, relevant sites and so on. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to find out a plan for an active use of it by Korean export and import firms and provide a number of policy suggestions that it can make best use of.

In this paper, we discussed convergence in terrestrial broadcasting and wireless communication with respect to technology and service models. Especially, retrieval and relocation of TV broadcast spectrum after upcoming D-TV transition is investigated so that the benefit for broadcasting and communication industries as well as spectral efficiency to be maximized. Also, the role of TV broadcast spectrum as a utility for convergence of two industries is investigated based on open spectrum, open platform and open application initiatives.

The major purpose of this study was to find the influencing factors in explaining information search patterns and to find if significant differences exist in search outcomes by search patterns. The data for this study were collected in a survey conducted in March of 1993. The final sample consisted of 327 respondents purchased refrigerator 340 purchased bed. The important findings of this study are as follows: First The variables related to search cost-benefit play an important role in identifying search patterns of consumers. Second search outcomes were different among four information search patterns for each of information sources. The overall search outcomes the level of purchase knowledge and of post-purchase satisfaction was relatively high for high-search and high-reliance group compared with other groups. And the results also indicate that although some consumers search less than others they still can make good purchase decision-making and can maximize their utility if they choose useful information sources selectively and use those selected information sources effectively. The findings of this study provide some implications regarding consumer education programs the consumer information providing policies and future research methods.

This study identifies the structural determinants of the social acceptance of genetically modified (GM) foods across European countries. Toward this end, we suggest an integrated theoretical model to explain the social acceptance of GM foods by including both perception factors (perceived benefit, perceived risk, feelings, trust, and knowledge) and value factors (ethical concerns, science optimism, religiosity, and ideology). This model is then tested by analyzing survey data collected from 18,634 Europeans in 32 countries. The results indicate that first, not only perception factors but also value factors significantly contribute to explaining the acceptance of GM foods. Second, perceived benefits, perceived risk, feelings, and ethical concerns tend to be the four biggest determinants for acceptance. Third, this two-factor model could be generalized even with variation across countries. Finally, ethical concerns and scientific optimism play a moderating role between predictors and outcomes in the acceptance of GM foods.

The current study attempts to provide the field of knowledge management with theoretical grounds from the perspective of social network, resource dependency, and institutional theory. Social network theory considers that knowledge management plays a critical role in organizational innovation through the process of knowledge sharing/creation, communication systems, and a cooperative culture and trust, whereas resource dependency perceives knowledge management as contributing to cost reduction through the process of knowledge capture/storage, database systems, and reward/incentive systems. Plus, from the perspective of institutionalization, this study discusses that organizations can not benefit from knowledge management if it is adopted with the motive of isomorphic change. Finally, this study compares and integrates the three perspectives, and discusses the implications and limitations.

This article deals with an economic evalutation of the 'Pasture Project of Kum River', which is the farming plan of mitten crabs in a stream of it. An augmented model of social capital is based on the past ecological-economic system dynamics model and elaborated further with suggestions of social capital literature. During the modeling process a chain diagram of causal relations and its relevant mathematical equations are presented for simulating the project performance, and the simulation results are provided to contrast the dynamic behaviors of the former ecological-economic model with ones of the new model incorporating social capital. The results indicate that an increase in the economic benefit of the project could happen in case of considering the process of social capital accumulation around the case area, which can be regarded as a remarkable trial to approve the common confidence in the role of social capital to enhance an economic achievement.

As most of environmental impacts caused by development projects are irrevocable, a thorough review is utmost necessary. Ecological-economic integrated approach inspired by Norgaard's co-evolution theory should be applied to the environmentally adjusted CBA, which plays a decisive role in the feasibility analysis. Based on case studies of NamHan River Management Project and Yeongsangang Wetland Reclamation Project, this paper attempts to show the usefulness of linking basic plan and implimentation design to EIA and suggests to integrate EACBA into the current EIA system institutionally as a more effective policy tool for realizing sustainable development in Korea.

Health insurance has gone far toward solving Korea's health related problems through thirty years. Health Insurance as social security system has a role of national system to secure national health. But there are many problems in health insurance. There is a dispute about many issues, coverage of health security, compulsory appointment of health insurance organization, coverage and level of health insurance benefit, decisionmaking right of health insurance price, examination of health insurance etc. Generally, the opinion for health insurance policy to be leaded by nation sets against the opinion to be leaded by private sector. It is necessary to study politics of law, constitute law and comparative law for rational solving these problems. If desirable setting of health law system can be made, legal system must be set during a long time and be discussed synthetically in different standpoint.
