A Study on Trot Walking for Quadruped Walking Robot (4족 보행로봇의 Trot 보행에 관한 연구)

  • A legged robot is friendly to human because it is resemble to human. And the robot can obtain support points freely because it has high degree of freedom for several joint as compared with a wheeled robot. Also the robot can create the relative position at desired position between support position and robot. The joint of robot cu used as manipulator. On the contrary the mechanism of robot is complicated to have many joint and moving speed is lower than wheeled robot. Also the legged robot is needed a special control not to fall on the ground because the robot is easy to vibrate when it is moving. The 4 leg structure is the minimum leg numbers not to fall and to realize safety gait continuously. A trot gait is investigated through experiments using a quadruped walking robot named TITAN-VIII.

  • Welding processing is used in the various industrial fields such as shipbuilding, car, airplane and steel structure, etc.. But the welding process has a bad working condition and lack of skillful worker. The welding depended on man power causes low productivity and difficulty in keeping continuous and stable quality control. This paper shows the development results of welding mobile robot with the several functions such as continuous/intermittent welding, initial welding speed control, acceleration control, crater and deceleration speed control in welding end. The robot is developed based on microprocess which is intel 80c196kc.

  • An adaptive output feedback controller is designed for tracking control of an n-link robot manipulator with unknown load. High-gain observers with same structure as error dynamic systems are used to estimate joint velocities. The parameter adaptation is achieved by the smoothed projection algorithm. The control inputs are saturated outside a domain of interest. Simulation results on a 2-link manipulator illustrate that when the speed of the high-gain observer is sufficiently high, the proposed controller recovers the performance under state feedback control.

  • In this paper, robust vibration control of a one-link flexible robot arm based on variable structure system is discussed. We derive dynamic equations of it using a Lagrangian assumed modes method based on Bernoulli-Euler Beam theory. The optimal sliding surface is designed and the problem of chattering is also solved by the adoption of a continuous control law within a small neighborhood of the switching hyperplane.

  • Our unicycle robot has simple mechanical structure. But unicycle's dynamical system is a very sensitive unstable system. Equation of motion of this simple unicycle robot was derived using Lagrange's method. In this paper a human inference control mechanism was established throughout an inquiry into hyman riding a unicycle, and we developed a hybrid controller to control our unicycle robot. Our controller is consisted with the PD and fuzzy controller containing fuzzy gain scheduling technique. Computer simulation shows good results.

  • This paper is proposed of multirate nonlinear controller for robot manipulator. The proposed controller is obtained by structure changes of feedback controller with C.T.M and for time differences commanded in caculating each term of controller, multirate sampling is used. And more robust controller is proposed by considering one-step ahead predictive action. In order to evaluate proposed controller, computer simulation is performed for a 3 D.O.F robot manipulator with varying load.

  • In this paper, an off-line programming(OLP) system is presented as the three dimensional graphic simulator and one of the human-robot interface systems for industrial robots. The OLP system has been especially developed to testify robot programs visually using three dimensional geometric modeling and graphics technologies in personal computes. A special feature is its capability of collision detection and of comparing performance of control algorithms. This paper places the focus on the structure and major characteristic of OLP system.
