Risk-based railway safety management has been mandatory in Korea as by relevant laws and regulations enacted since the Railway Safety Act 2004. In particular, the Railway Vehicle Safety Guidance came into effect on Jan 1, 2008 specifies the details of methodology for hazard analysis, risk assessment and safety verification and validation. Fundamentals for success of the risk-based safety management are systematic hazard identification and risk assessment by use of reasonable risk assessment criteria, but the principle of risk-based safety management has not been applied in an effective way to introduction and maintenance of railway vehicle systems because definite risk assessment criteria have not been set down for each railway system or railway network. The purpose of this study is to suggest a risk matrix development principle for risk assessment of domestic urban metro vehicles by analyses of relevant rules and railway operating environment of Korea.

The recognition of the risk hazards is a vital step to effectively prevent accidents on a construction site. The advanced development in computer vision systems and the availability of the large visual database related to construction site made it possible to take quick action in the event of human error and disaster situations that may occur during management supervision. Therefore, it is necessary to analyze the risk factors that need to be managed at the construction site and review appropriate and effective technical methods for each risk factor. This research focuses on analyzing Occupational Safety and Health Agency (OSHA) related to risk zone identification rules that can be adopted by the image recognition technology and classify their risk factors depending on the effective technical method. Therefore, this research developed a pattern-oriented classification of OSHA rules that can employ a large scale of safety hazard recognition. This research uses joint reasoning of risk zone Identification and numeric input by utilizing a stereo camera integrated with an image detection algorithm such as (YOLOv3) and Pyramid Stereo Matching Network (PSMNet). The research result identifies risk zones and raises alarm if a target object enters this zone. It also determines numerical information of a target, which recognizes the length, spacing, and angle of the target. Applying image detection joint logic algorithms might leverage the speed and accuracy of hazard detection due to merging more than one factor to prevent accidents in the job site.

According to the change of maritime environments and the development of science and technologies unidentified risk factors are created day by day in the world. It is crucial reason for the occurrence of maritime accidents that the unidentified risk factors make unexpected and extra-ordinary cases. Thus prior identification of unidentified risk factors is key issues to prevent maritime accidents. In addition to the identification of risk factors, the identification and classification of ongoing risk factors and evaluation model in the future is also one of key issues to consider unidentified maritime accidents. In this study, we searched on the conventional risks and unidentified risks to find risk control options for new, unidentified and expected risks.

In general, risk management consists of a series of processes or steps including risk identification, risk analysis, risk evaluation, risk mitigation measures, and risk re-evaluation. In this paper, potential risk factors that occur in shield TBM tunnels were investigated based on many previous case studies and questionaries to tunnel experts. The risk factors were classified as geological, design or construction management features. Fault Tree was set up by dividing all feasible risks into four groups that associated with: cutter; machine confinement; mucking (driving) and segments. From the Fault Tree Analysis (FTA), 12 risk items were identified and the probability of failure of each chosen risk item was obtained.
Substance identification is the first step in implementing chemical legislation, such that subsequent hazard and risk assessments can be accurately followed. Based on the web page and related guidance documents of the European Chemicals Agency and available consortia information, the procedure for substance identification carried out in Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH) is surveyed. In this study, the importance of substance identification and substance sameness check, as well as the necessity of generating a substance identity profile (SIP) are considered. In addition, the SIPs of several substance types are presented, which focused on information utilization in the instrumental analysis results and organization of information to generate the SIP. Analytical science can contribute to the accurate and effective implementation of chemical regulation at the starting stage of substance identification. However, understanding of the regulation and consequent final wrap-up of analytical results as a SIP should be followed for communication among registrants in Substance Information Exchange Forum (SIEF) as well as with related authorities.

The mixed-use development project like urban regeneration project has been enforced with long period and participation of various stakeholders. For this character, lots of risk could be occurred during the process of project and the project's success or failure depends on the risk management. So the process of identifying and responding to risks in urban regeneration projects should be followed systemically The risk identification phase is the first step to identify risk factors and define risk's character. One of the risk identification methods, the checklist, is the most practical and well-known one. This study suggests the check list that devide risks classified by stakeholders through analyzing tasks of stakeholders and drawing risks. This kind of checklist which handles risk factors classified by stakeholders is an easy tool to identify risks and expected to be effective to find risks for various stakeholders and themselves in the urban regeneration projects.
In 1990s, both development of internet and digital economy would make new products such as digital goods. Recently, digital goods composed of softwares, digital contents, and digital services have grown up rapidly in the world market. Characteristics of goods and transaction forms in the international trade of digital goods is different from those of traditional goods. Thus, this difference would appear a new risk that did not exist in the international trade of traditional goods. Identification and confirmation about unique export risks of digital goods would be necessary to the increase of export of digital goods needs; however, in spite of the importance, very few studies have been based on the export risks of digital goods particularly in research on the relationships between export risk management and export performance. This study classifies the types of export risks based on the previous studies, and examines the relationship between both management and identification of export risks.

Recently, as digital transformation due to the COVID-19 pandemic accelerates, data to improve individual quality of life is being used in large quantities, and more reinforced non-identification processing procedures are required to utilize the most valuable personal information among data. In Korea, procedures for de-identification measures are presented through amendments to laws and guidelines, but there is no methodology to measure the level of de-identification in the field due to ambiguous processing standards and subjective risk measurement methods. This paper compares and analyzes the current status of policy and guidelines related to de-identification measures proposed at home and abroad to derive complementary points, suggests a data context-based risk measurement method centered on pseudonymized information processing, and verifies its validity. As a result of verification through Delphi survey and focus group interview (FGI), it was confirmed that the need for the proposed methodology and the validity of the indicators were high.

Risk identification based on the government quality assurance activity for military goods is being conducted to determine the risks to be reflected in a government quality assurance plan. On the other hand, current risk evaluation method focuses mainly on the functional requirements of the product specifications, which is a lack of reflection and identification of risks considering the process and the method is determined from a personal opinion, for example experience and know-how, which results in a lack of objectivity. Therefore, a standard of judgment according to quantitative data, which includes the present process control data using the FMEA method is required to improve the objectivity and dependability. This paper proposes useful suggestions for a government quality planning method to apply the results of FMEA to hand grenades.
