RINGS WITH VARIATIONS OF FLAT COVERS

  • We introduce flat e-covers of modules and define e-perfect rings as a generalization of perfect rings. We prove that a ring is right perfect if and only if it is semilocal and right e-perfect which generalizes a result due to N. Ding and J. Chen. Moreover, in the light of the fact that a ring R is right perfect if and only if flat covers of any R-module are projective covers, we study on the rings over which flat covers of modules are (generalized) locally projective covers, and obtain some characterizations of (semi) perfect, A-perfect and B-perfect rings.

비행시험을 통한 경비행기의 속도계 보정에 대한 연구 (Airspeed and Altitude Calibration of Light Airplane via Flight Test)

  • This paper contained the flight test calibration for the airspeed indicator and the altimeter of the light airplane ChangGong-91, which is the first type certified aircraft from Korean Ministry of Construction and Transportation, as a part of the flight test validation. The flight test for airspeed position error calibration was performed using tower fly by method in order to calibrate swivel head testboom which is attached to the right wing tip of the airplane, and using system to system method for airspeed indicator. The altimeter calibration was calculated using flight test data for airspeed calibration. The flight test was conducted at the basis of the 'Korean Airworthiness Standard' regulation of Korean Ministry of Construction and Transportation.

두개강내로 침윤을 보인 안와 해면상 림프관종 - 증 례 보 고 - (Orbital Cavernous Lymphangioma with Intracranial Extension - Case Report -)

  • Lymphangioma is a rare benign developmental vascular tumor that may be found in orbit, skull and elsewhere in head and neck. Few cases of extension of this benign but insidious tumor posteriorly out of the bony orbital cavity have been reported. The patient was 40-year-old man complaining of proptosis of right eye for one month. Physical examination revealed severe right exophthalmus, impairment of eyeball movement in all directions. Visual acuity was much impaired and he could percept only light with right eye. CT and MRI scans showed intraconal and extraconal involvement of ill-defined, heterogenous mass with extension of the tumor posteriorly beyond the orbital cavity involving right frontal and temporal lobe, skull and subcutaneous tissue. The tumor was subtotally removed via orbito-frontal approach without damaging vital neural and orbital component. Then, orbital roof reconstruction and cranioplasty were done with resin. Successful surgical removal of lymphangioma is very difficult due to its severe infiltration to surrounding tissue and tendency to bleed during debulking. We report a rare case of orbital cavernous lymphangioma with intracranial extension treated with surgical decompression, with review of literatures.

France, Tolerance and Populism: Diagnosis and Anlalysis of the Rise of the Far-right and Spread of Hatred Against Immigrants

  • The purpose of this study is to examine how France became a representative country for far-right European populism, despite its tradition of tolerance. To achieve this goal, we examine, first, how the concept of tolerance developed in France after the 16th century. Through this process, we find that within the political system, the tolerance of the liberal tradition met with universalism, a republican value, and developed into an 'institutional tolerance' that allowed 'differences' from an authoritarian perspective rather than on an equal level. This 'assimilation' policy, reflecting a 'patriarchal' and 'oppressive' institutional tolerance, formed the keynote of the immigration policy of the 20th century, which continued until the 1980s, and shows that the French government did not take practical steps for the social integration of immigrant groups under the republican universal value that does not allow 'differences.' The government came up with an 'integration' immigration policy that embraces cultural 'differences' only after encountering problems with immigrant groups. However, this was not enough to calm the antipathy towards immigrants in French society and the discontent of immigrants in French society. Also, universalism, a republican value with deep roots in France, prevented the French immigration policy from escaping its assimilationist nature even in the 21st century. In the midst of this, far-right parties have gained power by promoting xenophobic sentiments centered on immigration problems. Finally, this study also looks at how far-right populism is currently changing the French political environment.

Ophthalmic Manifestations of Cavernous Sinus Syndrome in a Yorkshire Terrier Dog

  • A 7-year-old castrated male Yorkshire Terrier presented for a palpable mass of the right neck with ophthalmic signs of conjunctival hyperemia and anisocoria with fixed mydriatic pupil of the right eye. Clinical examination findings included the absence of direct and consensual pupillary light reflexes, external and internal ophthalmoplegia, and corneal hypoesthesia with incomplete blinking of the right eye. Magnetic resonance imaging and computed tomography revealed a mass extending from the right cavernous sinus to the orbital fissure with neighboring bone lysis. Cytological examination of fine-needle aspiration samples of the mass revealed a neuroendocrine tumor. The owner declined further diagnosis and did not wish to care for the dog receiving chemotherapy. This study describes the importance of investigating neuro-ophthalmic findings, which might provide clues for the localization of lesions, including tumors, to aid in diagnosis.

Comparative Analysis of Machine Learning Models for Crop's yield Prediction

  • In light of the decreasing crop production and shortage of food across the world, one of the crucial criteria of agriculture nowadays is selecting the right crop for the right piece of land at the right time. First problem is that How Farmers can predict the right crop for cultivation because famers have no knowledge about prediction of crop. Second problem is that which algorithm is best that provide the maximum accuracy for crop prediction. Therefore, in this research Author proposed a method that would help to select the most suitable crop(s) for a specific land based on the analysis of the affecting parameters (Temperature, Humidity, Soil Moisture) using machine learning. In this work, the author implemented Random Forest Classifier, Support Vector Machine, k-Nearest Neighbor, and Decision Tree for crop selection. The author trained these algorithms with the training dataset and later these algorithms were tested with the test dataset. The author compared the performances of all the tested methods to arrive at the best outcome. In this way best algorithm from the mention above is selected for crop prediction.

눈깜작임, 증감뇌유발전위와 성격의 상호관계 (Eyeblinks, EP Augmenting / Reducing and Personality)

  • 목 적 : 눈깜작임은 뇌에서 감각을 조절하는 기능과 관계된 개인의 인지능력과 성격에 따라 달라질 수 있다. 저자들은 이러한 성격이 눈깜작임과 증감뇌유발전위 등과 상호 어떠한 연관이 있는지를 연구하려고 하였다. 방법 : 44 명의 정상 대학생에게 증감뇌유발전위, 눈깜작임과 Zuckerman 의 감각추구척도와 Eysenck 성격설문지 동을 조사하여 그 상호관계를 분석하였다. 결 과 : 증감뇌유발전위에서 빛의 강도가 증가할수록 눈깜작임이 증가하였다. 대부분의 성격척도에서 눈깜작임과 유의한 역상관관계를 보였으며 신경증척도만이 정상관관계를 보였다. 눈깜작임과 증감유발전위의 기울기와 가장 강한 정상관관계를 보인 뇌의 부위는 우측 후 측두엽이었다. 결 론 : 감각추구경향이 강할수록 눈을 적게 깜작이었다. 유발전위보다 눈깜작임이 성격과 더 높은 상관관계를 보여 눈깜작임이 더 일차적인 필터 역할을 한다고 생각된다. 그리고 우측 후 측두엽은 여러 뇌 부위 중 시각을 조절하는데 가장 중요한 역할을 하는 것으로 유추된다.

Rhodopsin 의 再生에 對한 Nicotinamide 와 Folic Acid 의 影響에 關한 硏究 (Studies on the Influence of Nicotinamide and Folic Acid on the Regeneration of Rhodopsin)

  • Six frogs (Rana nigromaculata 25∼40 gm) were adapted to light for 2 hours. Then 0.02 ml of 3% nicotinamide and 0.02 ml of 0.6% folic acid were injected into the vitreous body of the right eye-ball, and 0.02 ml normal saline solution into the vitreous body of the left eye-ball respectively. After dark adaptation for an hour-their heads were cut off under a dim red light (650 $m{\mu}$). The retinae were removed from the left eye-ball for the control group and from the right for the test group respectively. Then rhodopsin was extracted from the retinae with 3 ml of 2% digitonin solution(pH = 7.0) for 17 hours at 0$^{\circ}C$ in the dark. The optical densities before and after the illumination of the extract were measured and compared with those of the control group. The results are as follows: 1) The group which had been injected with 0.02 ml of 3% nicotinamide solution had the promotive action on tile regeneration of rhodopsin in comparison with the control group. 2) The group which had been injected with 0.02 ml of 0.6% folic acid solution had the controlling action on the regeneration of rhodopsin in comparison with the control group.

  • Synchrotron radiation is produced when charged particles moving with relativistic velocities a are accelerated - for example, deflected by the bending magnets which guide the electron or p positrons in circular accelerators or storage rings. By using special focusing magnetic lattices i in the particle accelerators it is possible to make the dimensions of the particle beam very small with a hi맹 charge density which results in a light source with high b디lIiance. Synchrotron light h has important properties which make it ideal for a wide range of investigations in surface s science. The fact that the spectrum of electromagnetic radiation emitted in a bending magnet e extends in a continuum from the 얹r infra red region to hard x-rays means that it is id않I for a v variety of spectroscopic studies. Since there are no convenient lasers, or other really bright l light sources, in the vacuum ultraviolet and soft x-ray re.밍ons the development of synchrotron r radiation has enabled enormous advances to be made in this di펌C비t spectr따 re밍on. P Polarization-dependent measurements, for ex없nple ellipsometry or circular dichroism studies a are possible because the radiation has a well-defined polarization - linear in the plane of orbit w with additional right-circular, or left-circular, components for emission an생es above, or below, t the horizontal, respectively. Since the synchrotron light is emitted from a bunch of charge c circulating in a ring the light is emitted with a well-defined time structure with a short flash of l light every time a bunch passes an exit port. The time structure depends on the size of the ring a and the number and sequence of filling of the bunches. A pulsed light source enables time¬r resolved studies to be performed which provide direct information on the lifetimes and decay m modes of excited states and in addition opens up the possibility of using time of flight t techniques for spectroscopic studies. The fact that synchrotron radiation is produced in a clean u ultrahi야 vacuum environment is of gr않t importance for surce science studies. The current t비rd generation synchrotron light sources provide exceptionally high baliance and stability a and open up possibilities for experiments which would have been inconceivable only a short time ago.

녹화중 귀리 유식물의 엽록소-단백질 복합체 형성에 미치는 광선의 효과 (The Effect of Light on the Formation of Chlorophyll-Protein Complexes in Oat Seedlings during Greening)

  • 백색광 및 여러 파장의 광선 (적색, 청색, 그리고 녹색광)이 녹화중인 귀리 유식물의 엽록소 함량 변화 및 엽록소-단백질 복합체 형성에 미치는 효과를 조사하였다. 높은 광도의 백색광은 낮은 광도의 백색광에 비하여 귀리 유식물의 전체 엽록소 함량 및 엽록소 a/b 비율의 증가에 효과적이었다. 또한 엽록소-단백질 복합체의 형성에 있어서 높은 광도의 백색광은 낮은 광도의 백색광에 비하여 PSI, CCI, 및 CCII의 형성을 효과적으로 촉진하였다. 한편, 여러 파장의 광선하에서 생장한 귀리 유식물은 유사한 광도를 가진 백색 광하에서 생장한 유식물에 비하여 엽록소의 축적 및 엽록소 a/b 비율에 큰 영향을 받지 않았다. 적색광은 귀리 유식물의 엽록소-단백질 복합체의 형성에 있어서 백색광에 비하여 LHCII trimer형성에 효과적이지 못하였으나, 청색광은 백색광과 유사한 효과를 나타내었다. 청색광과 적색광을 비교하였을 때, 청색광은 적색광보다 LHCII monomer의 형성에 효과적이었다. 이와 같은 결과에서 엽록체의 발달과정동안 광도의 효과가 광질의 효과보다 엽록소 축적 및 엽록소 a/b비율의 증가에 중요한 인자로 작용하며, 여러 파장의 광선은 엽록체-단백질 복합체의 조성을 조절하는데 중요한 인자인 것으로 사료된다.
