자동차 헤드램프내 체결부품사이의 마찰계수 실험장치 개발 (Development of a Measuring Device for Coefficient of Friction between Connection Parts in Vehicle Head Lamps)

  • When slipping occurs between two materials, the coefficients of friction must be considered because these values determine the overall efficiency of the machine or slip characteristics. Therefore, it is important to find the coefficient of friction between two materials. This paper focuses on obtaining the coefficient of friction between an aiming bolt and a retainer located in the headlamps of a vehicle. This bolt supports the headlamp, and if the bolt is loosened by external vibration, the angle of the light will change and block the vision of pedestrians or other drivers. In order to study these situations, the coefficient of friction between aiming bolts and retainers needs to be measured. In addition, the coefficient of friction of materials used in the headlamp should be obtained. To determine these two factors, a new device is designed for two cases: surface-surface contact and surface-line contact. To increase reliability of the results, the device is designed using an air-bearing stage which uses compressed air as lubricant to eliminate the friction of the stage itself. Experiments were carried out by applying various vertical forces, and the results show that the coefficient of friction can be measured consistently. The procedure for designing the device and the results are discussed.

수종의 고정성 보정장치에 따른 유성견의 치주조직 반응 (Periodontal Tissue Response Following Different Types of Fixed Retainers in Young Adult Dogs)

  • 교정력을 가한 후 각기 다른 재료로 제작된 고정성 보정장치를 적용한 경우에 발생하는 치주조직의 재형성과 치유과정을 조직학적으로 관찰하기 위해 건강한 치주상태를 가진 네 마리의 유성견을 대상으로 최초 교정력이 200gm이 되도록 견인 스프링 (sentalloy closed coil $spring^{\circledR}$, Tomy Co., Japan)을 대상 치아에 결찰하여 1주일 간 교정력 을 가한 후 각각의 실험동물에 3가닥 호선인 0.018인치 $Dentaflex^{\circledR}$(Dentarum Co., Germany), 3가닥 호선인 0.020인치 $Dentaflex^{\circledR}$(Dentarum Co. Germany), 5가닥 호선인 0.0195인치 $Respond^{\circledR}$(G&H Co., U.S.A.)를, 그리고 자가중합형 레진 접착제인 Superbond $C&B^{\circledR}$를 고정성 보정장치의 재료를 이용하여 보정장치를 접착한 군과 보정장치를 접착하지 않은 군으로 나누어 3주간 적용 후 희생하여 H-E 염색군, M-T 염색군으로 나누어 광학현미경으로 관찰하여 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 1. 0.0195인치 $Respond^{\circledR}$를 접착시킨 군은 0.018인치 $Dentaflex^{\circledR}$, 0.020인치 $Dentaflex^{\circledR}$, Superbond $C&B^{\circledR}$를 접착시킨 군에 비교할 때 압박측에서의 거대세포 침윤 감소와 긴장측에서의 신생골 형성 증가가 매우 두드러지게 나타났으며 치주인대는 형태와 배열에서 대부분 정상적인 소견을 보였다. 2. 실험 1군의 모든 실험대상에서 압박측 치조골 내부의 괴사골이 관찰되었고, 압박측과 긴장측 모두에서 치조골 표면의 골양조직 및 sharpey 섬유의 형성과 치주인대의 재형성 현상이 나타나는 것이 관찰되었다. 3. 실험 2군은 실험 1군에 비교하여 압박측에서 거대세포 침윤이 현저히 감소되었고 치주인대는 거의 정상적인 소견을 보였다. 긴장측에서는 수층의 골침착을 보이며 치주인대 측으로 골양조직과 골아세포가 구상으로 나타나는 활성화 소견을 보였다. 이상의 결과에서 더 여러 가닥이 꼬인 6가닥 호선인 0.0195인치 $Respond^{\circledR}$(G&H Co., U.S.A.)를 보정장치로 적용한 경우가 다른 재료의 고정성 보정장치보다 더 활발한 신생골주 형성의 활성화 소견이 관찰되었으며 대조군과 유사한 배열과 형태를 보이는 정상적인 치주인대 섬유의 배열양상이 관찰되어 다른 재료들에 비교하여 치주조직의 초기 재형성 과정을 더 신속하게 유도하는 것으로 사료된다.

전치부 Open-bite의 치험일례 (A CASE REPORT OF ANTERIOR OPEN-BITE)

  • We have effectually treated 22 years girl who had complained of an aterior open-bite. Treatment was based on non-extracted and multibanded technigue at the use of horizontal loop with 0.016 inch green Elgiloy wire. Anteior cross elastics, C1Ⅲ intermaxillary elastics, occasicnally C1.Ⅱ elastics were used. when vertical discrepancy was corrected, we changed the arch wire making use of 0.018 ×0.022 inch rectangular wire with 1st. and 2nd. order bend. After 12mons. the ideal arch wire with tie back loop was placed for stabilizing arch. Nearly after 20 months bands were removed and placed retainer.

해양플랜트 탑사이드용 고압 볼밸브에 대한 구조 안전성 평가 (Strength Assessment of High-Pressure Ball Valve for Topside Process Unit)

  • A high-pressure ball valve was developed, and both the structural strength and sealing performance were assessed based on a nonlinear finite element analysis. Different parts were modeled with solid elements and assembled, taking into account both contact and sliding effects. Three different loading scenarios were analyzed, including a high-pressure closure test and fire and shell test conditions. The structural safety of each part was checked under each loading condition, and the sealing performance was also investigated to validate the performance of the valve.

각종(各種) 랍착법(鑞着法)에 의(依)한 가공의치(架工義齒) 정밀도(精密度)에 관(關)한 실험적(實驗的) 연구(硏究) (A Study on the Accuracy of Bridge made by Various Soldering Technics)

  • To compare on the accuracy of bridge made by various soldering technics, four unit bridges were made on a blass original model. They were soldered to each other in the following three ways : In Group I, one central gap between two pieces of pre-soldered abutments and adjacent pontics were soldered at the final step. In Group II, the two gaps between one piece of pre-soldered pontics and two abutments were soldered at the final step. In Group III. the three gaps between two abutments and two ponitcs were soldered at the same time. Misfitting of those bridges were compared by measuring the spaces created between the retainer margins and the shoulders of preparated original model with a micrometer microscope. The author obtained following results : In the final step, the more number of the soldered gap increased, the more accuracy of the bridge decreased.

자동차용 사판식 압축기의 흡, 토출밸브 설계 (The Design of Suction and Discharge Valve of Automotive Swash Plate Type Compressor)

  • This paper was studied to design Process considered flexibility and reliability of suction and discharge valves. Flexibility and reliability of valves are main important factors in compressor valves design. And they are incompatible with efficiency of compressor. In this study, we have performed the optimal design of CO2 compressor valves to consider these factors. At first, we analyzed performance simulation of compressor to obtain optimal flexibility level of valves. From this simulation, we could get some important data at valve design like the optimal natural frequency and the height of retainer. After that we studied to reliability of valves corresponding to optimal flexibility level by finite element method. For each case bending stress and natural frequency were obtained by it. Also we investigated the fatigue stability to obtain optimal valve shape that ensured to reliability.

Maryland Bridge의 적용분포 및 결합실패에 관한 임상적 연구(I) (A Clinical Study on the Distribution and The Bond Failure of Etched(Maryland) Bridge: A Preliminary Report of 135 Cases)

  • The purpose of this was to examine the distribution and the bond failure of the acidetched ceramometal retainer (Maryland Bridge). 126 subjects who treated by faculty and residents of Department of Prosthodontics, Seoul National University Hospital from Dec. 1982 to Dec. 1986 were selected for this study. From the foregoing study author obtained the following conclusions. 1. A total of 135 restorations were placed in the mouths of patients ranging in age from 11 to 70 years (Man 62, woman 64) 2. Most restorations were applied to replace anterior teeth. 3. It was found that of the total number of bridges constructed 59.3 percent were the three-unit type. 4. Replacing one tooth missing was the most frequent cases(74.1 percent). 5. Of the total number of cases, 10.4percent showed bond failure. 6. The bond failure, author suggest, be due to one or more of mis-fit of framework, occlusion, material in itself, faulty case selection and lack of technique.

원통형 로울러 베어링의 소음 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Noise Characteristics of Cylindrical Roller Bearings)

  • The purpose of the paper is to investigate the noise characteristics of cylindrical roller bearings. For the sake of simplicity, it is assumed that the cylindrical roller bearing is infinitely long, and there is no outside force acting on the bearing. The effects of radial clearance of the bearing, viscosity of the lubricant and number of the roller on the noise of the bearing are also examined. Results show that the fundamental frequency of the bearing noise corresponds to the multiplication of number of the roller and whirling frequency of the roller center or the retainer. The acoustical frequency spectra of the roller bearing are pure tone spectra, containing the fundamental frequency of the bearing and its super­harmonics. The low viscosity of the lubricant, high radial clearance of the bearing, and low number of the roller decrease the bearing noise. The results and discussions of the present paper could aid in the low­noise design of the cylindrical roller bearing.

CFD를 이용한 수윤활 볼베어링의 구름 요소 주위의 마찰 토크분석 (CFD-Based Flow Analysis of Rolling Elements in Water-Lubricated Ball Bearings)

  • Water-lubricated ball bearings consist of rolling elements, an inner raceway, an outer raceway, a retainer, and an operating lubricant. In the water environment, ball bearings are required to sustain high loads at high speeds under poorly lubricated conditions. For the analysis of bearing behavior, friction torque is considered as the main factor at various flow rates, rotating speeds, and roughnesses between the rolling element and raceways. When the bearing operates at high rotating speeds, the friction torque between the raceway and rolling elements increases considerably. This frictional torque is an important factor affecting bearing reliability and life cycle duration. For understanding the flow conditions in the inner part of the bearing, this study focuses on the flow around the rotating and revolving rolling elements. A simple model of fluid flow inside the ball bearing is designed using the commercial CFD program ANSYS.

원자력 발전소용 압력용기의 볼트 연결 조립부 구조설계를 위한 3차원 접촉 응력 해석 (Three-Dimensional Contact Stress Analysis for Structural Design of Bolted Joint Assembly of Pressure Vessels in Nuclear Power Plants)

  • Bolted joint assembly for nuclear power plants consists of various components : cover plate, retainer plate, manway flange, gasket and stud bolts/nuts. To guarantee the soundness of the joint, it is important to prevent leakage through the gasket and reduce the stress concentration factor at the thread root. In this paper, Submodeling technique for the finite element method is proposed to accurately compute three dimensional contact stresses which govern the sealing performance and the maximum contact stresses at the threads root. For verification of global solutions used as boundary conditions of submodel solution, the stresses on the cover plate and the manway flange are measured by strain gages when internal pressure is applied to the bolted joint assembly. The numerical results are compared with the experimental results.
