Ti 용접재의 기계적 특성 및 잔류응력의 분포에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Mechanical Properties and Residual Stress Distribution of Ti Welding Material)

  • The objective of this paper was to investigate the welding characteristics according to the restraint condition. the pass number, and the shield gas quantity with titanium commonly using in power stations, aircrafts, ships, and so forth. The residual stress distribution was measured under restraint and nonrestraint welding conditions. The tensile strength and elongation of the 4 pass welded specimen were shown higher about 10% and 30% than those of the 7 pass welded specimen at the same welding conditions respectably. Also, the more shield gas quantity and the shorter natural cooling time, the higher tensile strength and the lower elongation.

Evaluation of Models for Estimating Shrinkage Stress in Patch Repair System

  • Cracking of repair material due to restraint of shrinkage could hinder the intended extension of serviceability of repaired concrete structure. The availability of model to predict shrinkage stress under restraint condition will be useful to assess whether repair material with particular deformation properties is resistance to cracking or not. The accuracy in the prediction will depend upon reliability of the model, input parameters, testing methods used to characterize the input parameters, etc. This paper reviews a variety of models to predict shrinkage stress in patch repair system. Effect of creep and composite action to release shrinkage stress in the patch repair system are quantified and discussed. Accuracy of the models is examined by comparing predicted and measured shrinkage stress. Simplified model to estimate shrinkage stress is proposed which requires only shrinkage property of repair material as an input parameter.

연화부를 포함한 판재의 항복거동과 항복강도 (Yielding behavior and yield strength of plate structure containing softened region)

  • Welded joint often contains soft or softened regions such as the HAZ of TMCP steel welded with high heat input. In this study, the equivalent yield strength of plate structure containing softened region was predicted by FEM analysis, and its incremental behavior was explained with the results of the analysis. The calculated results of yield strength indicated the following for the plate structures. 1) As the softened region starts to yield, shear stress begins to build up along the boundary between base metal and softened region. This results in multi-axial stress condition which gives restraint on the softened region. 2) Restraint effect has a significant influence on the distribution of the shear stress, the nominal stress, and the strain. 3) The yielding behavior of softened region becomes the same as that of base metal when both ratios of length to width and thickness to width of softened region are larger than 30 and 13 respectively.

Buckling behaviour of plates partially restrained against rotation under stress gradient

  • In this paper, the behavior of plates partially restrained against rotation under stress gradient is investigated. As a first stage, an energy formulation is presented to model this boundary condition and a general expression is derived for the prediction of the elastic buckling of the plate under this general loading condition. The accuracy of the derived expression is compared numerically using the Galerkin method with other available data for the two limiting conditions of rotationally free and clamped boundaries. Results show that the prediction is within a 5% difference. The influence of rotational restraint and stress gradient upon the buckling load and the associated buckling mode is investigated. Numerical results show sensitivity of the buckling mode to the degree of rotational restraint and the variation of the buckling load with the stress gradient.

환경하중에 의한 연속철근콘크리트(CRCP) 종방향 철근의 구속정도 (Degree of Restraint(DOR) of Longitudinal Steel at Continuously Reinforced Concrete Pavement(CRCP) Against Environmental Loadings)

  • PURPOSES : The purpose of this study is to evaluate the degree of restraint (DOR) of longitudinal steel at continuously reinforced concrete pavement (CRCP) against environmental loadings. METHODS : To measure the longitudinal steel strain, 3-electrical resistance and self-temperature compensation gauges were installed to CRCP test section (thickness = 250mm, steel ratio = 0.7%) and continuously measured 10 min. intervals during 259 days. In order to properly analyze the steel strains first, temperature compensation process has been conducted. Secondly, measured steel strains were divided into 12 phases with different events such as before paving, during concrete hardening, and after first cracking, etc. RESULTS : Thermal strain rate (TSR) concept is defined as the linear strain variations with temperature changes and restraints rate of longitudinal steel against environmental loadings (especially thermal loading) with different cases is defined as degree of restraint(DOR). New concept of DOR could be indirect indicator of crack width behaviors of CRCP. CONCLUSIONS : Before paving, DOR of longitudinal steel is almost same at the coefficient of thermal expansion of steel ($12.44m/m/^{\circ}C$) because of no restraint boundary condition. After concrete pouring, DOR is gradually changed into -1 due to concrete stiffness developing with hydration. After first cracking at crack induced area, values of DOR are around -3~-5. The negative DOR stands for the crack width behavior instead of steel strain behavior. During winter season, DOR reached to -5.77 as the highest, but spring this values gradually reduced as -1.7 as the lowest. Based on this observation, we can presume crack width decreased over time within the time frame of this study. This finding is not consistent with the current theory on crack width variations over time, so further study is necessary to identify the causes of crack width reducing. One of the reasons could be related to concrete stress re-distribution and stress relaxation.

이축압축 조건에서 실험체/재하판 경계면상의 마찰저항 감소를 위한 롤러 지지된 피스톤 형태의 하중재하판의 개발 (Development of a roller supported piston type loading platen reducing the frictional restraint along the interfaces between the specimen and platens under the biaxial loading condition)

  • 암석의 물성평가 및 파괴모델 실험을 위하여 다축압축 실험이 자주 사용된다. 다축압축 실험을 통한 암반의 거동 평가시 정확한 결과의 산출을 위하여 실험체와 가압판 경계면에서의 경계조건에 대한주의를 기울일 필요가 있다. 일반적으로 철제로 된 일체형 가압판의 사용시 실험체의 경계면과 하중재하판사이에서 발생하는 마찰저항으로 인하여 실험체 경계부에서부터 응력회전 현상이 발생하여 경계면에서부터 작용하는 외력의 방향은 회전하게 된다. 이와 같은 실험체/하중재하판 경계면 사이에서 발생하는 마찰저항을 감소시키기 위하여 다양한 방법이 제시되었다. 그 중 대표적인 예가 빗살구조의 하중재하판이다. 본 논문에서는 빗살구조의 하중재하판의 단점을 극복하고 하중재하판의 공간이 상대적으로 덜 차지하는 롤러로 지지된 피스톤 형태의 하중재하판을 소개하고 있다. 롤러로 지지된 피스톤 형태의 하중재하판은 지지강성이 충분한 짧은 피스톤 후면에 샤프트 형태의 롤러를 설치하여 실험체의 변형과 동시에 각 피스톤이 동반하여 거동하도록 구성되었다. 본 논문에서는 롤러 지지된 피스톤의 구조 상세 및 요구되는 기능에 대한 검증을 위하여 측면부 마찰저항 실험과 이축압축 실험이 수행되었으며 실험결과와 수치해석 결과의 비교를 통하여 장비의 적용성에 대한 검증이 이루어 졌다.

초고성능 섬유보강 콘크리트(UHPFRC)의 재료 특성 및 예측모델: (II) 구속 수축 특성 평가 및 구속도 예측 (Properties and Prediction Model for Ultra High Performance Fiber Reinforced Concrete (UHPFRC): (II) Evaluation of Restrained Shrinkage Characteristics and Prediction of Degree of Restraint)

  • 본 연구에서는 초고성능 섬유보강 콘크리트(Ultra High Performance Fiber Reinforced Concrete, UHPFRC)의 구속 상태에서의 수축 거동을 평가하고자 국내 외에서 가장 보편적으로 사용되는 링-테스트(ring-test)를 이용하여 구속 수축 실험을 수행하였다. 특히, 다양한 구속도에서의 수축 거동을 평가하기 위하여 내부 강재 링의 두께와 내부 반경을 달리하여 실험을 수행하였으며, 자유 수축과 인장강도 실험을 수반하여 구속도 및 응력 이완, 수축 균열 가능성 등을 복합적으로 평가하였다. 실험 결과 내부 링의 두께가 증가할수록 내부 링의 평균 변형률과 잔류 인장응력은 감소하였으며, 반면에 구속도는 증가하는 경향을 보였다. 내부 링의 반경에 따라서는 변형률 및 잔류 인장응력, 구속도의 차이가 거의 없는 것으로 나타났다. 모든 시험체에서 잔류 인장응력이 인장강도에 비해 작은 것으로 나타났으며, 수축 균열은 발생하지 않았다. 지속적으로 작용하는 계면 구속 하중에 의해 탄성 수축 응력의 약 39~65%가 이완되는 것으로 나타났으며, 최대 이완 응력은 내부 링의 두께가 두꺼울수록 증가하는 것으로 나타났다. 마지막으로 본 연구에서는 비선형 회귀분석을 수행하여 재령에 따라 변하는 구속도를 예측하였으며, 실험 결과와 잘 일치하는 것으로 나타났다.

안전벨트 충돌하중특성 최적화 (Optimization of Seat belt Load Limiter for Crashworthiness)

  • Under the full frontal crash event, seatbelt system is the most typical and primary restraint device that prevents the second impact between an occupant and vehicle interior parts by limiting the forward motion of an occupant in the vehicle occupant packaging space. Today's restraint systems typically include the three-point seat belt with the pretensioner and the load limiter. A pretensioner preemptively tightens the seat belts removing any slack between a passenger and belt webbing which leads to early restraint of a passenger. After that a load limiter controls level of belt load by releasing the belt webbing to reduce occupant injurys. In this study, load characteristics of load limiters are optimized by the computer simulation with a MADYMO model for a frontal impact against the rigid wall at 56kph and then we suggest performance requirements. We derived optimum load characteristic from the results using four vehicle simulation models represented by the vehicle. Based on the results, we suggest the performance from the results of the second optimization using the simulation considering the design and the standardization. Finally, the performance requirements is verified by the sled tests including the load limiter device for the full vehicle condition.

하악골의 치조골 골삭제를 위한 동적 제약 기구부의 성능에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Performance of Dynamic Restraint Manipulator for Drilling Alveolar Bone in Mandible)

  • The increase in the edentulous jaw which occurs in the aged population has led to personal dental health concerns. In the case of dental implant surgery, the duration of a patient's recovery depends on the surgical plan and their physicical ability. A device may be required to assist a physician in controlling vibration reduction of free-hand drilling and prescribing a good treatment plan that is suitable for the patient's condition. In this work, an artificial tooth-root implant assistant manipulator was studied. The structure and the vibration analysis of the dynamic restraint manipulator that is for drilling the alveolar bone in the mandible bone were performed, and the structural stability was analyzed. Further, a virtual prototype of an artificial tooth-root implant assisted manipulator was fabricated and tested. Hence, the state of the Remote Center of Motion (RCM) point and the driving state of the manipulator were confirmed. Furthermore, the drilling experiments were performed by using materials similar to a human jawbone in order to evaluate the performance of the drilling process that is operated using the assistant manipulator.
