  • Th Rach Gia Bypass Project, to be implemented under EDCF Loan VNM-12, constitutes a strategically important part of the Greater Mekong Sub-region Southern Coastal Corridor Project(the GMS-SCCP). The main goal of the GMS strategy is to promote sustainable economic growth, improve employment, and achieve poverty reduction by tapping the comparative advantages of Vietnam, Cambodia and Thailand. As a project manager who once took a responsible position for the completion of RGBP's detailed design, I would like to briefly introduce what our design team including the local sub-contractors had performed for the D/Design of this Project last year, especially in the field of highway, bridge and soft soil treatment method widely used in Mekong Delta area. With the performance of nearly two Projects due to the V.O. in one year on the prescribed time, it was a hard year but a rewarding one. To expand our horizon more about overseas projects, several recommendations for the brighter future of overseas projects are shown herein this paper.

  • The writer tries to propose some characteristics of profession and recommend those of librarianship. In this connection, the writer tries to define 'negative' and 'positive' functions of librarianship as a profession. The writer also aims at classifying various disciplines included in library sciencee Library science has to do with such phases as educational aids, storage and retrieval of knowledge and information, and librarianship itself. The title 'Librarian' carries with it the connotation of 'professional' in the sense that professional tasks require a special knowledge and background, that librarians try to maintain quality service to clients, the knowledge and information are produced, developed, and disseminated via librarians, and that librarians are responsible for continuing education. The fact that the present stage of librarianship is generally known to adhere to negative posture and randomness might permit other institutions to replace the library's role.

  • The purpose of this study was to find out what this ledger to ensure that they have in early childhood education Director with more than 10 years of experience working in child care centers for this purpose was selected as study participants 10 people. Education director and explore their experience in the field as a necessary qualifications and roles, attitudes and images were evaluated what would. and Revealing how it affects teachers was conducted in-depth discussions and interviews. The results of this study are as follows. The results of this study are as follows. First, the qualities required of a director of early childhood education in the field of personality qualities than professional qualifications and leadership qualities were required by priority. Second, raise the capacity of teachers and to activate the Education, responsible attitude and professional attitude to training was required as an important element to ensure that they have this ledger.

Women s Experience of Abortion : Phenomenological Perspectives (여성의 유산경험에 대한 현상학적 연구)

  • Women’s experience of abortion are not only widespread but also significant event in their lives. But this experience has not been a concern for professional care by health care providers, especially nurses. As professional nurses should have holistic approaches to clients, need to understand the lived experience of abortion from women’s perspectives. These Nurses must identify unique means for improving the quality of life of women. This study identified the meaning and structure of the lived experience of abortion. The participants were residents of Seoul and Kwang ju who were recruited through personal recommendation. Colaizzi’s method was used for the phenomenological analysis. The research question was aimed at revealing the covert meaning of abortion. The 14 women who had a spontaneous abortion and /or an artificial abortion and who argeed to participate in the study were informed of the purpose of the study, the possible risks and benefits of participation, the data generation method and they were assured of privacy and confidentiality. The investigator conducted in-depth unstructured interviews which were audiotaped with the permission of the participants. The investigator read the data repeatdly to identify and categorize themes and basic structural elements. Eight themes of abortion as experienced by these participants were : 1) complicated feelings about the anticipated abortion 2) feelings of fear and anxiety about the operation and complications 3) grieving related loss and injury 4) feelings of lonliness in perceiving no supportive person, 5) attributing the cause of the abortion to siginificant others or to self, 6) guilt feelings and resentment, 7) vacillating between regretting and not regretting, 8) struggling to a responsible person. Five basic structures identified were : 1) Complicated feelings 2) Feelings of loss and need for caring 3) Attributings to cause to significant others 4) Paradoxical emotion 5) Struggling to be a responsible being The significes of this study for nursing are : 1) It enables nurses and other health care providers understand more clearly the lived experience of abortion 2) It provides information which can be used in for women who experience abortion.

  • As archivists are professional who is responsible for professional works related in archives, they are required to perform expanded roles including traditional roles in changed environment surrounding archives. To solve those requirements, reeducation program can be essential for improving archivists expertise. However, as compared with education quality and programs for professional improvement required to archivists, reeducation program currently offered in National Archives of Korea is inadequate to deal with performing the extended roles required to archivists. This study analyzed the current situation and problem of reeducation program currently offered in National Archives of Korea, as compared to domestic and foreign reeducation programs, and surveyed archivists' opinion about requirements to perform their extended roles in practice. Based on the results, this study improved a reeducation program in National Archives in Korea.

Analyzing the Engagement of Professional Construction Managers in Construction Management firm and Its Improvement Measures (CM 전문회사 단장 활용실태 및 개선방안)

  • The number of construction management firms has been increased as construction management delivery system has been active in Korean construction market. the capability of leading construction management professional, who is responsible for managing project administration, is important for commissioning construction management contracts. The quality of project proposal and the capability of leading construction management professional, which are assessed by the board of contract awarding committee, are the major contributors for commissioning the public construction management projects administered by the Korean public procurement service for contracting. Therefore, employing a very competent leading construction management professional is the critical strategy for awarding contract to the construction management firms' part. That is why the firms should secure a fixed number of leading construction management professional in a waiting list to proceed the contract commissioning process for expectant candidate projects, even if there is no project assignable to the leading construction management professionals. However, a measure that makes effectively use of the leading construction management professional in a waiting list has not been systematically implemented in the firms. In turn, the firm suffers considerable loss in a project personnel supply and demand plan. Expert opinions were obtained by the survey questionaries administered to top management of the construction management firms which are engaged in the construction management contracts for commissioning the public construction management projects administered by the Korean public procurement service either as principal or co-principal deliverer. This paper presents the findings obtained by investigating the actual employment state of the leading construction management professional in the waiting list and by analyzing the issues involved in mobilizing and demobilizing them. It contributes to implement a practical guide for searching effective solutions to the issues.

The effect of job stress of system maintenance staff on emotion exhaustion: Focusing on the moderating effect of professional identity (정보시스템 운영인력의 직무 스트레스가 정서적 소진에 미치는 영향: 전문직 정체성의 조절효과를 중심으로)

  • The fourth industrial revolution is expected to bring about great changes in information technology sector and create a variety of jobs. However, the psychological anxiety of IT staff is increasing due to stress and uncertainty created by the new technologies. Accordingly, researchers examined how professional identity moderate the effect of job stress of system maintenance staff on emotion exhaustion. For empirical studies, data was collected from 160 employees responsible for managing and supporting IS, and the hypothesis was verified using SPSS 21. The analysis results showed that role conflicts, role ambiguity, and qualitative work overload, which are components of job stress, have affected the emotion exhaustion. Professional identity had a moderating effect the relationship between qualitative work overload and emotion exhaustion. On the other hand, professional identity did not moderate the relationship between role conflict and emotion exhaustion, role ambiguity and emotion exhaustion. As professional identity lessen the psychological burden and emotion exhaustion of introducing new technologies, organizations need to provide support to enhance professional identity for system maintenance staff.

Development of Bachelor Nursing Programme (일 대학 간호학과 교육 과정 개발 연구)

  • The educational preparation of nurses has been the focus of considerable debate globally. It is needed the change of the basic nursing education for professional nurse to prepare the trends of the health care needs of clients for coming new generation. And also it is believed that educational preparation for being nurses is to be responsible to clients' needs. The purpose of the study was to develop a baccalaureate program in nursing. This study were implemented through three stages from April 2001, to April 2002.: preparation stage which were consisted of reviewing of the literatures, interviewing the fellow nurses in a variety workplace, and consulting professors who were concerned with the nursing education to identify the present educational problems, and analyzing the contents of seven major courses in nursing education, evaluation stage about a new developed curriculum with the directors of the five nursing schools, and confirmation stage of new developed education programme. The developed education programme was designed as a four year program with 126 credit hours including 39 credit hours of liberal arts, 34 credit hours of supplementary courses, and 53 credit hours of nursing major based on the four basic nursing dimensions of human, health, environment and nursing. Nursing majors were consisted of Nursing Ⅰ(oxygenation), Nursing Ⅱ(nutrition elimination), Nursing Ⅲ(activity rest), Nursing Ⅳ(neurologic- endocrine protection), Nursing Ⅴ(fluids electrolytes/sex reproductive), Nursing Ⅵ(psycho-social), Community Health Nursing, Fundamental Nursing, School Health, and Emergency care. This new nursing programme was focused on the nursing education for prevention and rehabilitation nursing care as well as the acute and chronic nursing care at hospital, on the integrated nursing programme to become effective, and the nursing process to encourage the critical thinking. The new education programme focused on the professional nurses who are responsible the nursing ethics, communication skills, and professional beliefs to suit the future trends in health. And also it will be needed for faculties to manage the integrated curriculum, to analyze the contents of each subject, and to communicate with each other before a new education programme apply to their education programme in future. A Study on Oral Health Projects for the Disabled in public health center (보건소의 장애인 구강보건사업에 관한 연구)

  • Oral health projects that cater to the disabled should be more prevailing in order to ensure the maintenance and successful promotion of the oral health of disabled people. 70 public dental clinics that conducted oral health projects geared toward the disabled were examined to get a precise grip on their oral health projects. The findings of the study were as follows: 1. 31 out of 70 public dental clinics investigated(44.3%) were equipped with two or more dental hygienists who were professional human resources in charge of the oral health projects for the disabled. As for the age and disability type of the beneficiaries of the oral health projects, adolescents(74.3%) and people with mental retardation(87.1%) benefited most from the oral health projects. Concerning the most common implementation frequency of the projects, the projects were carried out once to three times a week(62.9%). 2. The most dominant oral disease treatment provided to disabled people was amalgam treatment and resin treatment(68.6%), which were the early dental caries treatment. The most common preventive treatment that was offered to improve their oral health was oral prophylaxis(82.9%). As for reform measures for the oral health projects, education of personnels in charge of the projects and their specialization(58.6%) were most emphasized. 3. Regarding factors related to the preventive oral health projects for the disabled, the implementation of oral prophylaxis and toothbrushing education was linked to the age of the beneficiaries. More oral prophylaxis was offered to teens, and more toothbrushing education was provided to preschoolers and adolescents. The age of the beneficiaries and the number of dental hygienists responsible for the projects had something to do with the application of fluorides. 4. Concerning the relationship of the preventive oral health projects for the disabled to the number of dental hygienists, one of the personnels in charge of the projects, the application of fluorides( 54.4%) and pit & fissure sealing(56.8%) were more prevalent when there were two or more dental hygienists. There was a statistically significant disparity in that regard(p<0.05). The above-mentioned findings illustrated that in order to boost the oral health of the disabled, dental hygienists who are responsible for the oral health projects for the disabled should put ceaseless efforts into fostering their professional knowledge and ability and offering quality service to disabled patients. Every public dental clinic should be equipped with plenty of professional personnels to enlarge the scope of treatment and ensure the efficiency of treatment and the preventive projects.
