Ubiquitous Smart pace connects many kinds of smart object to satisfy user's demands. Thus, not only excessive loads but also resource collisions occur among service objects while configurating services to fulfill the user's request. After all, as malfunction occurs between service objects, it offers wrong service to user or does not respond to service request. To solve these problems, Ubiquitous Smart Space is observed by monitoring system of function, performance, and status of objects. Therefore, optimized function, performance and duality of service of smart space service for user should be improved by recording log and analyzing recorded the log. In this paper, we suggest a novel monitoring system to optimize performance according to pattern of diverse services and execute self-recovery on system down and malfunction.

Coastline is the most dynamic part of seascape since its shape is affected by various factors. Coastal zone is an area with immense geological, geomorphological and ecological interest. Monitoring coastal change is very important for safe navigation, coastal resource management. This paper shows a result of monitoring coastal morphological changes using Remote Sensing and GIS. Study was carried out to obtain intensity of erosion, deposition and sand bar movement in the Red River Delta. Satellite images of ALOS/AVNIR-2 and Landsat were used for the monitoring of coastal morphological changes over the period of 1975 to 2009. Band rationing and threshold technique was used for the coastline extraction. Tidal levels at the time of image acquisition varied from -0.89m to 2.87m. Therefore, coastline from another image at a different tidal level in the same year was considered to get the corrected coastline by interpolation technique. A series of points were generated along the coastal line from 1975 image and were established as reference points to see the change in later periods. The changes were measured in Euclidean distances from these reference points. Positive values represented deposition to the sea and negative values are erosion. The result showed that the Red river delta area expanded to the sea 3500m in Red river mouth, and 2873m in Thai Binh river mouth from 1975 to 2009. The erosion process occurred continuously from 1975 up to now with the average magnitude 23.77m/year from 1975 to 1989 and 7.85m/year from 2001 to 2009 in Giao Thuy area. From 1975 to 2009, total 1095.2ha of settlement area was eroded by sea. On the other hand, land expanded to the sea in 4786.24ha of mangrove and 1673.98ha of aquaculture.
With the development of IT convergence technology and the construction of infrastructure for water leakage detection, the detection technology of damaged pileline's location and size is being spotlighted. The exhaustion of water resource due to the leakage of water supply facilities renders it urgent to detect water leakage effectively. In this paper, we proposed the water leakage detection monitoring simulation using the power spectrum analysis. We measured the reflected wave signal by the proposed water leakage detection monitoring simulation. The rate variability is calculated form the acquired reflected wave signal. And the power spectrum analysis using the Fast Fourier Transform is evaluated the correlation between the water leakage's size and the reflected wave. Ultimately, this paper suggests empirical simulation to verify the adequacy and the validity. Accordingly, the satisfaction and the quality of services will be improved the efficient management by supporting the real-time water leakage detection.

These system is Web Map Service(WMS) which utilizes open source and commercial softwares, and various information collected from remote sensing data are provided. This study will utilize tools such as GeoServer, ArcGIS Server, which are widely used to monitor agricultural production, to publish Map Server and Web Application Server. This enables performance test study for future agricultural production monitoring system by making use of response time and data transfer test. When tested in identical condition GeoServer showed a better result in response time and data transfer for performance test.
Body area networks (BANs) have emerged as an enabling technique for e-healthcare systems, which can be used to continuously and remotely monitor patients' health. In BANs, the data of a patient's vital body functions and movements can be collected by small wearable or implantable sensors and sent using shortrange wireless communication techniques. Due to the shared wireless medium between the sensors in BANs, it may be possible to have malicious attacks on e-healthcare systems. The security and privacy issues of BANs are becoming more and more important. To provide secure and correct association of a group of sensors with a patient and satisfy the requirements of data confidentiality and integrity in BANs, we propose a novel enhanced secure sensor association and key management protocol based on elliptic curve cryptography and hash chains. The authentication procedure and group key generation are very simple and efficient. Therefore, our protocol can be easily implemented in the power and resource constrained sensor nodes in BANs. From a comparison of results, furthermore, we can conclude that the proposed protocol dramatically reduces the computation and communication cost for the authentication and key derivation compared with previous protocols. We believe that our protocol is attractive in the application of BANs.
The ultimate goal of health promotion programs is to improve the quality of life through promoting community health. Since the performance of health promotion programs are greatly affected by the quality of the planning and implementation process of the programs, the proper quality assessment of the program process is very important. According to existing literature, the tool for assessing the quality of the process and implementation as well as the outcome. However, no assessment tool for the quality of the process of health promotion programs has been developed in Korea. The purpose of the study is to develop a quality assessment tool for the process of health promotion programs being conducted at public health centers in Korea. The quality assessment tool developed in the study consists of the following four domains: strategic planning (14 items), program management (11 items), monitoring and evaluation (13 items), and resources and information (15 items). The strategic planning deals with the function of the planning staff and committees, community data analysis, the feasibility of the program, and the approach methods for attaining the goal of the program. The program management includes items on the qualification and power of the program staff. Monitoring and evaluation deals with the planning and education for monitoring, reporting and communication among program units, and feedback after monitoring. Finally, the resource and information covers the planning and activities for obtaining resources and information, community networking, beneficiaries' response, and consulting activity of the staff.
Numerous water disasters have recently occurred all over the world, including South Korea, due to global climate change in recent years. As water-related disasters occur extensively and their sites are difficult for people to access, it is necessary to monitor them using satellites. The Ministry of Environment and K-water plan to launch the next-generation medium satellite No. 5 (water resource/water disaster satellite) equipped with C-band synthetic aperture radar (SAR) in 2025. C-band SAR has the advantage of being able to observe water resources twice a day at a high resolution both day and night, regardless of weather conditions. Currently, RADARSAT-2 and Sentinel-1 equipped with C-band SAR achieve the purpose of their launch and are used in various environmental fields such as forest structure detection and coastline change monitoring, as well as for unique purposes including the detection of flooding, drought and soil moisture change, utilizing the advantages of SAR. As such, this study aimed to analyze the characteristics of the next-generation medium satellite No. 5 and its application in environmental fields. Our findings showed that it can be used to improve the degree of precision of existing environmental spatial information such as the classification accuracy of land cover map in environmental field works. It also enables us to observe forests and water resources in North Korea that are difficult to access geographically. It is ultimately expected that this will enable the monitoring of the whole Korean Peninsula in various environmental fields, and help in relevant responses and policy supports.

Fish school monitoring technology is utilized for various purposes, such as boat fishing and resource surveys. With advancements in information and communication technology, this technology has expanded its application to remote areas. Its significance has grown in fishing sites, particularly for improving the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of set-net fishing. Set-net fishing gears are not limited to coastal areas, but are also installed in inland and remote sea regions. Consequently, fishermen require technology that allows them to quickly transmit information about approaching fish schools and enables them to perform long-term monitoring. The development of remote monitoring technology for set-net fish schools must consider crucial design factors such as communication range, transmission speed, power consumption of information modules, and operational expenses. In this study, we developed a low-power remote monitoring module for set-net fish school based on WCDMA. The module was specifically designed to minimize power consumption, allowing for communication over long distances and extended operation times in set-net fishing applications. Furthermore, we developed a web server software application that enables remote access to fish schools and provides real-time weather information. The performance of the developed module was evaluated through set-net fishing site application and experiments with moving ships on the sea. The experimental results demonstrated that the remote monitoring system, consisting of the developed low-power remote monitoring module for set-net fish school based on WCDMA and a fish finder, had an average power consumption of 4.6 W, a maximum communication range of 22.84 km, and a data transmission and reception rate of 98.79%. The maximum fish school information transmission and reception rate was 97.26%

Quintozene, pentachloronitrobenzene (PCNB) is a contact fungicide for control of soilborne phytopathogenic fungi during cultivation of diverse crops. It was introduced to agricultural use around 1930's as a substitute for mercurial disinfectants. Although quintozene had been first registered in Korea on 1969. However, now it was banned to use due to its high residue levels in selected harvest products. Also, high possibility is expected that the residue may be contained in imported agricultural commodities as it is still used widely over the world. Therefore, this study was conducted to establish a determination method for quintozene residue in crops using GC/ECD/MS. Quintozene residue was extracted with acetonitrile from representative samples of five raw products which comprised hulled rice, soybean, Kimchi cabbage, green pepper, and apple. The extract was diluted with saline water, and n-hexane partition was followed to recover quintozene from the aqueous phase. Florisil column chromatography was additionally employed for final clean up of the extract. The quintozene was quantitated by GLC with ECD, using a DB-1 capillary column. The crops were fortified with quintozene at 3 levels per crop. Mean recoveries ranged from 79.9% to 102.7% in five representative agricultural commodities. The coefficients of variation were less than 4.3%. Quantitative limit of quintozene was 0.004 mg/kg in representative five crop samples. A GC/MS with selected-ion monitoring was also provided to confirm the suspected residue. Therefore, this analytical method was reproducible and sensitive enough to determine the residue of quintozene in agricultural commodities.

The purpose of this study is to provide a design and operation technical guideline for meeting the appropriate design criteria to biogas utilization treating organic wastes. In accordance with the government's mid-to long-term policies on bio-gasification and energization of organic wastes, the expansion of the waste-to-energy (WTE) facilities is being remarkably promoted. However, because of the limitation of livestock manure containing low-concentration of volatile solids, there has been increased in combined bio-gasification without installing new anaerobic digestion facilities. The characteristics and common problems of each treatment processes were investigated for on-going 11 bio-gasification facilities. The seasonal precision monitoring of chemicophysics analysis on anaerobic digestor samples was conducted to provide guidelines for design and operation according to the progress of biogas utilization. Consequently, Major problems were investigated such as large deviation of organic materials depending on seasons, proper dehumidification of biogas, pretreatment of hydrogen sulfide, operation of power generation and steam. This study was conducted to optimize biogas utilization of type of organic waste(containing sewage sludge and food waste, animal manure), research the facilities problem through field investigation.
