Thirty-two cancer patients were treated with various pain control methods. In those who had localized pain or more than 1 year life expectancy. The author preferred neurolytic blockade for whom had localized pain or had more than 1 year life-expectancy to epidural or intrathecal narcotics. The latter methods were saved as a last resort. Effective pain relief was achieved in over 80% of those treated. There were no serious complications. Of the 12 epidural or intrathecally implanted catheter with subcutaneous tunneling cases, successful pain management was possible throughout the remainder of life which was from 1 week to 6 months.

리조트의 콘텐츠는 개인의 선택과 생산성에 관련되어 상당히 분화되고 있고, 전문화되고 있는 특징이 발견된다. 특히 리조트를 하나의 라이프로 인식해 그의 지원체계를 강화하고, 주변지역과 함께 주변의 공유자산을 함께 육성해 나가는 체계는 중요한 변화적 동향이라 볼 수 있다. 따라서 금후의 리조트 개발 및 운영에 있어서는 이러한 리조트 라이프에 대응한 선택적 옵션과 지원체계, 그리고 리조트의 사회화 등을 위한 콘텐츠개발이 더욱 중요해 질 것으로 판단된다.

Busan's Haeundae Resort project, which is currently being constructed by POSCO E&C, comprises the 101-story Landmark Tower and two 85-story residential towers. Presently, foundation and basement construction is complete, with a final completion date set for 2019. Considerations about the construction and design of the three reinforced concrete high-rise buildings will be discussed in this paper.

Model selection is the process that sets up the regularization parameter in the support vector machine or regularization network by using the external methods such as general cross validation or L-curve criterion. This paper suggests that the regularization parameter can be obtained simultaneously within the learning process of neural networks without resort to separate selection methods. In this paper, extended kernel method is introduced. The relationship between regularization parameter and the bias term in the extended kernel is established. Experimental results show the effectiveness of the new model selection method.

This paper attempts to acoustically examine the place of articulation of Korean affricates. In order to pursue an acoustic analysis of where Korean affricates are articulated, we resort to LPC spectra of the Korean plain affricate /c/ in intervocalic position, based on theoretical assumptions (e.g., Stevens 1993a), and compare the data to that of the Korean alveolar consonants /t, s/ in the same context. Our phonetic results show that in intervocalic position, the Korean plain affricate is alveolar just like the Korean alveolar consonants /t, s/, supporting the articulatory studies of $Skali{\check{c}}kov{\acute{a}}$ (1960) and Kim (1997).

천곡동굴이 위치하고 있는 동해시의 천곡동은 동해시역 중에서도 중심부에 해당되는 지역이다. 이 지역은 북쪽의 묵호지역과 남쪽의 북평지역을 연결시켜주는 지역이며 교통도 매우 편리하고 앞으로도 크게 발전할 수 있는 곳이다. 또한 이 지역은 수산항이라고 할 수 있는 묵호항과 산업항인 동해항( 및 북평항)과의 중간지점에 위치하여 두 지역의 결합적 역할수행이 요구되고 있는 지역이기도 하다. 또한 동북아시아의 관광루우트 설정시에도 동해시가 동해안의 중심적인 현관구실을 하여야 할 곳으로 대두되고 있어 앞으로 인구흡인의 원동력이 될 수 있는 관광개발이 요구되고 있는 현실이다.

여러 관광자원 중에서도 동굴은 지하에 분포하고 있기 때문에 특이하며, 일반 관광자원보다 사람들에게 관심이 높고 견인력이 큰 자원이어서. 최근들어 동굴은 레크리에이션 장소로도 각광받고 있다. 이런 특성을 지닌 동굴 중에서 강원도 영월군 서면에 위치한 동정굴은 도로상에 입지하고 있으며, 부근에 자연풍치자원 이외에도 사적자원, 산업자원 등이 산재하고 있어 관광 개발에 유리한 입지로 판단된다. 특히 평창강의 심한 곡류, 우뚝 솟은 하식애 등의 하천지형과 지표면의 카르스트 지형 및 동굴 내부의 2차 생성물들은 동정굴을 지형지물의 전시장이며 자연학습의 현장이라는 특성을 지닌 관광지로 개발할 수 있는 전망을 제시하고 있다. 따라서 동정굴 지역을 주변의 각종 관광자원을 유기적으로 연결시키는 역할을 담당하도록 개발해야 하겠다.

삼척군 하장면에 있는 월둔굴은 지방기념물로 지정된 석회동굴이다. 이 동굴은 강원도 내륙지역에 해당되고 있으나, 내륙인 정선에서 동해안의 삼척에 이르는 내륙교통의 요지에 위치하고 있고, 그 동굴 속의 2차 생성물들의 학술적ㆍ관광적 가치도 크기 때문에 관광지 개발에 합당한 동굴이라고 판단된다. 더구나 이 곳 현지주민들의 인문ㆍ산업 면에서 볼 때에도 산간오지의 밭농사에 의존할 수밖에 없어 이 동굴의 개발이 지역주민의 소득증대에도 이바지할 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

Let a p-component vector y have a p-variate normal distribution $N(b\theta, \Sigma), \Sigma$ unknown, b specified, then for testing $\theta = 0$ against general $\theta$, Khatri and Rao (1987) derive a certain t test and obtain its power function. This paper presents a direct derivation of this power function in terms of the original variates unlike Khatri and Rao (1987) who resort to the canonical transformations of the original variates and the conditional distributions.
