상당저항계수식 산정을 위한 3차원 수치실험 : 횡방향 이격거리의 영향 (3-D Numerical Experiment for Estimation of Equivalent Resistance Coefficient due to Multi-piers : Effect of Transverse Intervals)

  • 수면보다 높은 사각기둥 저항체가 등간격으로 배치되어 있는 경우의 상당저항계수 식의 횡방향에 따른 항력상호작용계수를 연구하여 제안하였다. 저항체의 횡방향 이격거리에 따른 에너지 손실이 오리피스의 공극률에 따른 에너지 손실과 동일하다고 가정하고 오리피스의 에너지 손실계수를 차용하여 횡방향 항력상호작용계수를 제안하였다. 이 항력상호작용계수를 사용하는 상당저항계수 식을 김 등(2008)에 의해 사용된 수리조건에 대해 그 해석능력이 검증된 FLOW-3D를 이용하여 수치실험한 결과와 비교하였다. 그 결과가 잘 일치하였고 이로부터 바닥마찰뿐만 아니라 수면보다 높은 정방형 다열기둥의 종방향 및 횡방향 이격거리에 따라 변화되는 저항정도를 고려할 수 있는 제안된 상당저항계수 식의 타당성을 검증하였다.

병렬로 접속된 저항체에서 저항온도계수의 거동 (Behavior of the Temperature Coefficient of Resistance at Parallelly Connected Resistors)

  • In this paper, we discuss the fabrication of metal alloy resistors. We connected them in parallel to estimate their resistance and temperature coefficient of resistance (TCR). The fabricated resistors have different resistances, 5 and $10{\Omega}$ and different TCRs, 50 and $200ppm/^{\circ}C$. Each resistor was confirmed to have the correct atomic composition through the use of energy dispersive X-ray (EDX). The resistors' electrical properties were confirmed by measuring resistance and TCR. The resistance and TCR of the resistors connected in parallel were estimated through the increase in resistance due to the increase in temperature, and were compared with the measured values. We are confident that this TCR estimation technique, which uses the increase in resistance due to temperature, will be very useful in designing and fabricating resistors with low and stable TCR.

교류 피복 아크 용접에 있어서 아크 안정성의 정량적 평가에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Quantitative Evaluation of Arc Stability in AC SMAW)

  • The shielded metal arc welding (SMAW) by AC power source was performed to evaluate the arc stability by arc monitoring and analysing. In this study, the arc stability index was evaluated quantitatively by using he coefficient of resistance variation for welding time. This coefficient was obtained for the long time (20sec.) by analysing the waveforms of welding current, voltage and resistance. The coefficient was applied to indicate numerically the variation level of arc length and the degree of arc extinction. Using the coefficient of resistance variation in practical welding, the arc stability of the high titanium oxide electrode (KS E4313) turned out to be better than that of the low hydrogen electrode (KS E4316). In evaluating the skill level of welders by the coefficient, the horizontal fillet weaving welding became clear to be very discriminating because the higher level welder could weave in keeping constant arc length, but the lower level welder showed the characteristics of weaving with the unstable arc length. And it was confirmed that the welding defects as blow holes was formed when the arc stability index were high.

건축물 바닥재의 마모에 따른 미끄럼성능 변동에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Change of Slipperiness of Building Floor-coverings by Friction Wear)

  • The purpose of this study presents useful data on the choice or development of floor covering from slip viewpoint by examining closely the impact of the changes in sliding experiments due to the wear of floor covering by walk. The result of wear practical test per ten thousand walks enforces some kind of popular floor covering and measure of coefficient of slip resistance as follows: (1) When surface of floor covering is in the state of wet, the degree of wear doesn't affect greatly in slip. (2) When surface of floor covering is in dry and clean state, most floor coverings have the tendency to lower the coefficient of slip resistance with the amount of walk on it. (3) Change in the tendency of slip resistance by wear appeared mainly due to the differences in the state of floor covering and organic floor covering appeared to have great reduction of coefficient of slip resistance than the inorganic ones. (4) According to the result of investigation on changes in tendency of coefficient of slip resistance due to the increase in the number of walk and if two hundred thousand walks were done, regardless of surface shape or kind of site, etc, the safety of floor covering, in slip viewpoint, greatly reduces.

Friction correction for model ship resistance and propulsion tests in ice at NRC's OCRE-RC

  • This paper documents the result of a preliminary analysis on the influence of hull-ice friction coefficient on model resistance and power predictions and their correlation to full-scale measurements. The study is based on previous model-scale/full-scale correlations performed on the National Research Council - Ocean, Coastal, and River Engineering Research Center's (NRC/OCRE-RC) model test data. There are two objectives for the current study: (1) to validate NRC/OCRE-RC's modeling standards in regarding to its practice of specifying a CFC (Correlation Friction Coefficient) of 0.05 for all its ship models; and (2) to develop a correction methodology for its resistance and propulsion predictions when the model is prepared with an ice friction coefficient slightly deviated from the CFC of 0.05. The mean CFC of 0.056 and 0.050 for perfect correlation as computed from the resistance and power analysis, respectively, have justified NRC/OCRE-RC's selection of 0.05 for the CFC of all its models. Furthermore, a procedure for minor friction corrections is developed.

PTCR 나노 복합기능 소재의 전류 차단 특성 연구 (PTCR Characteristics of Multifunctional Polymeric Nano Composites)

  • 본 연구에서는 나노 입자의 카본블랙을 결정성 고분자에 분산시켜 특정한 온도에서 저항이 급격하게 증가하는 positive temperature coefficient resistance (PTCR) 특성을 연구하였다. 열가소성 수지를 이용한 PTCR 소재를 열처리에 의하여 고분자의 큐리온도를 조절할 수 있었다. 나노입자 카본블랙이 고분자 구조내에 고르게 분산이 되지 않고, 카본블랙의 함량이 과다하면 negative temperature coefficient resistance (NTCR) 현상이 발생하였다. 카본블랙의 함량과 내부전압을 조절함에 따라 발열 온도를 선정할 수 있었다. 카본블랙의 함량에 따라 전기 전도성이 다르게 나타났으며, 20 wt% 이상에서는 저항이 거의 일정하게 나타난다는 것을 확인하였다. 본 연구에서 제조된 PTCR 소재는 반복적인 가열 냉각에 따른 상온에서의 초기 저항의 변화가 거의 없어 재현성을 확인하였으며, 초기의 낮은 저항에 의한 순간적인 발열에 의하여 저온에서의 PTCR 성능이 향상되었다.

Effects of Fluid Resistance Coefficient on Wave Characteristics around Permeable Submerged Breakwater

  • Recently, the studies on submerged breakwater are increased due to needs considering the quality of water and the scenic view. In this paper, waves coming to permeable submerged breakwater coming with oblique angle are computed numerically by using wave pressure function. The wave pressure function throughout the analytical region including the fluid and submerged breakwaters is used. An unknown quantity expressed by the wave pressure function is simulated by boundary element method. The maximum reflection coefficient shows the tendency of decrease with the increase of oblique angle and The reflection coefficient shows the tendency of increase with the increase of the values of the linear dissipation coefficient and the added mass coefficient. It is means that the reflection coefficients are strongly dependent on the oblique angle and resistance coefficients.

재하시험에 의한 PHC 매입말뚝의 저항계수 산정 (Estimation of resistance coefficient of PHC bored pile by Load Test)

  • 유럽과 미국에서는 말뚝기초 설계에 한계상태설계법 사용이 거의 정착되었으며, 세계적 추세에 따라 국내에서도 국토해양부가 한계상태설계법에 기반한 교량하부기초 설계기준을 제정하였지만, 국내 말뚝공법 및 지반조건에 대한 저항계수 연구가 부족하여 당장 설계에 반영하기에는 어려운 여건이다. 이에 본 연구에서는 일반적으로 시용하고 있는 PHC 매입말뚝을 국내 지반조건에 고려하여 Meyerhof(LH 설계기준, 도로교 설계기준) 방법과 상재하중을 고려할 수 있는 정역학적 공식 (Terzaghi의 지지력 계수와 Hansen&Vesic의 지지력 계수 적용)으로 산정한 지지력을 정재하시험(9회)과 동재하시험(EOID 9회, Restrike 9회) 결과를 비교 분석하여 저항계수를 산정하였다. LH 연구원의 선행연구(PHC 매입말뚝의 하중저항 설계정수 제안, 2012)에서 동재하극한지지력 (Rut)을 기준으로 했을 때 LH 설계기준에 대한 저항계수는 0.36~0.44를 나타낸 바 있으며, 본 연구에서는 저항계수가 0.39~0.48로 나타나 선행연구의 저항계수보다 약 8%정도 증가하였다. 본 연구에서는 정재하시험 결괴를 위주로 저항계수를 산정하였으며, 극한지지력을 기준으로 했을 때의 저항계수는 0.57~0.69(Meyerhof 방법 : LH 설계기준), Davisson 지지력을 기준으로 했을 때의 저항계수는 0.49~0.60(Meyerhof 방법 LH 설계기준)으로 동재하시험에 의한 저항계수와 차이가 크게 나타났다. 이러한 차이를 줄이고자 수정동재하지지력을 제시하여 저항계수를 제시하였으며 이때의 저항계수는 0.52~0.62(Meyerhof 방법 : LH 설계기준)로 나타나 정재하에 의한 저항계수와 차이가 많이 줄어들었다. 결론적으로 본 연구에서 정재하 및 동재하시험으로 산정한 전체 저항계수는 0.35~0.76으로 도로교 설계기준에서 제시한 저항계수 0.3보다 커서 경제적인 설계가 가능할 것으로 판단된다.

빙마찰계수에 따른 쇄빙탱커의 빙저항 변화 (Change of Ice Resistance of Ice-Breaking Tanker According to Frictional Coefficient)

  • This study describes the model tests in ice according to the frictional coefficient of an ice-breaking ship and the change in ice resistance by the analysis method for each component of ice resistances. The target vessel is a 90K DWT ice-breaking tanker capable of operating in ARC7 ice conditions in the Arctic Ocean, and twin POD propellers are fitted. The hull was specially painted with four different frictional coefficients on the same ship model. The total ice resistance can be separated by ice breaking, ice buoyancy, ice clearing resistances through the tests in level ice, pre-sawn ice and creep test in pre-sawn ice under sea ice thickness of 1.2 m and 1.7 m. Ice resistance was analyzed by correcting the thickness and bending strength of model ice by the ITTC correction method. As the frictional coefficient between the hull and ice increases, ice buoyancy and clearing resistances increase significantly. When the surface of the hull is rough, it is considered that the broken ice pieces do not slip easily to the side, resulting in an increase in ice buoyancy resistance. Also, the frictional coefficient was found to have a great influence on the ice clearing resistance as the ice thickness became thicker.

교란효과와 배수저항을 고려한 연직 배수재 설계 (Design of Vertical Drain in Consideration of Smear Effect and Well Resistance)

  • This study compared the degree of consolidation by hyperbolic, curve fitting , Asaoka's and methods using values measured with a theoretical curve in consideration of smear effect and well resistance. The degree of consolidation by the Hyperboilc method was underestimated than the degree of consolidation by Curve fitting. Asaoka's , and Monden's methods. The typical range of the coefficient of horizontal consolidation was Ch=(2-3)Cv in the case considering smear effect and well resistance, and Ch =(0.5-2.1) Cv in the case disregarding smear effect and well resistance. The degree of consolidation obtained by ground settlement monitoring was nearly the same value when the coefficient of smear zone permeability by back analysis was shown to be half that of in-situ and the diameter of the smear zone was shown to be double that of mandrel. By increasing the diameter reduction ratio of the drain, the time of consolidation was delayed. The effect of well resistance showed that the case of a small coefficient of permeability was much more than in the case of a large coefficient of permeability . It was recommended that when designing diameter reduction of a drain, well resistance should be considered.
