대전광역시 지하수의 수리화학 특성 및 오염에 대한 토지이용 형태 및 도시화의 영향

  • This study has investigated the chemical characteristics and the contamination of groundwater in relation to land use in Daejeon Metropolitan City. An attempt was made to distinguish anthrophogenic inputs from the influence of natural chemical weathering on the chemical composition of groundwater at Taejon. Groundwater samples collected at 170 locations in the Taejon area show very variable chemical composition of groundwater, e.9. electrical conductance ranges from 65 to 1,290 S/cm. Most groundwater is weakly acidic and the groundwater chemistry is more influenced by land use and urbanization than by aquifer rock type. Most of groundwater from green areas and new town residential districts has low electrical conductance, and is of Ca-HC $O_3$ type, whereas the chemical composition of groundwater from the old downtown and industrial district is shifted towards a Ca-Cl (N $O_3$+S $O_4$) type with high electrical conductance. A number of groundwater samples in the urbanized area are contaminated by high nitrate and chlorine, and exhibit high hardness. The Ep$CO_2$, that is the $CO_2$ content of a water sample relative to pure water, was computed to obtain more insight into the origin of $CO_2$ and bicarbonate in the groundwater. Factor analysis of the chemical data shows that the HC $O_3$ and N $O_3$ concentrations have the highest factor loadings on factor 1 and factor 2, respectively. Factors 1 and 2 represent major contributions from natural processes and human activities, respectively. The results of the factor analysis indicate that the levels of $Ca^{2+}$, $Mg^{2+}$, N $a^{+}$, Cl and SO4$^2$ derive from both pollution sources and natural weathering reactions.ons.

도시의 기온 분석을 통한 지역별 열 환경 특성 해석과 동·하절기 계절 간 비교연구 (Comparison Study on Thermal Environment Characteristics in Each Region and the Seasons of Summer and Winter Through Air Temperature Analysis in Urban Areas)

  • This study is to perform the effect of urbanization in urban and suburban districts, and to identify regional characters of climate according to the analysis of slope at rise, and descent of temperature and globe temperature, correlation between seasonal temperature analysis, and calculation of degree hour. According to this study, the result is summarized as follows. (1) The average temperature, rated from high to low, consists of residential area, Daegu weather station, intracity, green belt, water-front green belt, and suburban. (2) At the rise and descent of temperature, the result of the slope change of in each point may be one of the useful indexes to be able to perform the regional unique thermal characteristic, including the seasonal urbanization. (3) Although there is a difference between the surface of the earth and ambient environment. The result of the correlation of temperature between summer and winter is that temperature slope in urban districts was higher than in suburban districts, and the difference of slope was unvaried among the four observations in the same city region. (4) To show objectively, regional thermal characteristics in urban and suburban districts, the exponentiation of winter degree hour and summer degree hours were checked. The result of the exponentiation is that the more artificial a region, the lower index.

도시 내 십자형 교차로 경관의 개방성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Openness of Landscape in Urban Cross Intersections)

  • An important factor in assessing the beneficial qualities of a city's intersection spaces can be measured by examining a pedestrian's approach to the space and calculating the openness observed in the overall design of adjacent buildings. These spaces are influential, since they offer opportunities for pedestrians to spend time and take in views of the surrounding environment. The intersection of horizontal components in cities such as Bundang-si and Suwon-si can provide a sense of openness or greenness. We believe that there is a need for careful analysis and study of such components, as defined by designations in Bucheon-si research, and that this study can give important insights for future urban planning and design. When assessing the openness of an intersection, a key variable is the reported rate of perforation, which factors into the greenness of a space. Because of the large and varied scope of this research, this rate is highly variable, as there were many differences between each site. In descending order of average ratios: Seongnam-si, 41.79% > Bucheon-si, 35.40% > Suwon-si, 30.42%. The data compared for each city was divided into study sites selected at downtown locations as well as in urban outskirts. Openness and greenness were analyzed at each downtown and outskirt site. A summary of the results shows a decreased openness average of -2.63% in downtown locations versus outskirt. The greenness ratios in urban outskirt areas were 4.86% greater than downtown locations on average. As it relates to the results of this analysis of openness, the comprehensive property zoning for each city was determined as a ratio of residential to commercial designations. This study analyzes view points within urban cross intersections in the downtown landscape. It presents basic data and research directions to promote a better environment with regard to openness, and consists of an analysis of the relationship between a variety of physical components.

토지이용별 하수관거 퇴적토의 특성과 재활용 (Characteristics and Recycling of Sewer Sediments from Land Use)

  • In this study, research for physical and chemical characteristics were conducted through analysis of sediments, grading and heavy metals (e.g., Mn, Cu, Cd, Zn and Pb ) in sewers which are classified by drainage types. After that, cement solidification and yellow soil calcinations made heavy metals stabilized and then, ways of recycling it were examined. The grain size distribution of all sediments was relative graded. When evaluating heavy metal pollution through index of geoaccumulation (Igeo), Cu showed moderately pollution or strong pollution in forest and street site and Zn was assessed by moderately pollution in military, residential, and street site. Analysis of Pearson Correlation coefficient of heavy metal indicated that all items in street site have tight relationship respectively. Especially, Cd-Zn, Cu-Pb, Cu-Mn, and Pb-Mn have relationship at 99% confidence intervals in statistical analysis. Recycling it with cement solidification was satisfied with compressive strength standard under 55% deposit contents and Zn, Pb, Mn were stabilized effectively. If time and temperature plasticity and compressive strength would be standard, it is revealed that yellow soil calcinations is valuable aggregate when it has 50-60 Wt% contents. When considering economic feasibility and stabilization of heavy metals, cement solidification would be more appropriate than yellow soil calcinations as solution to recycling.

A Study on Transitions in Neighborhood Planning Elements Based on the Development of Transportation: A case study of apartment complex in the metropolitan area from the 1970s to 1980s

  • The main factors that made Seoul's rapid population accommodation and urbanization possible in the mid-to-late 20th century were the ex-pansion of urban infrastructure, completion of the transportation system, and housing supply. The development of transportation and resi-dential development occurred simultaneously, and in particular, apartment complexes, a representative residential area in Seoul, were most influenced by Perry's neighborhood unit theory. The purpose of this study is to analyze the process of the physical environment of apartment complexes in the metropolitan area in response to development of transportation in the mid-to-late 20th century. The analysis sites are Jamsil Apartment Complex(1974), Dunchon Apartment Complex(1979), Mok-dong New Town(1983), Sanggye New Town(1985), Bundang New-town(1990) and Ilsan Newtown(1990), which were planned at the turning point of development of transportation and actively reflect the neigh-borhood unit theory. The analysis was conducted in three stages. Analyzing the status of transportation when the plan was established, deriv-ing the planning elements, and classifying the planning elements into walking, bus, car, and subway which is the representative transportation. The conclusions from the analysis are as follows. Firstly, completing the legal system and expanding the related infrastructure are essential. Secondly, in contrast to the increase in traffic volume, the pedestrian environment has been continuously improved. Thirdly, despite the emergence of new mode of transportation, there was a tendency to activate the linkage between transportation.

Analysis on the Types of Benefits of Gardens in Urban Areas: Comparison of Korea and Overseas Cases

  • Background and objective: Recently, there has been an increasing need for relaxation and familiarity with nature in residential and living spaces faced daily by urban residents, leading to a growing social interest in urban gardens. The aim of this study was to determine how gardens in a city provide physical and social benefits, comparing cases in Korea and overseas. Methods: We used the keywords "garden" and "city" for Korea, and "urban," "garden," and "green" for overseas. We then determined the Korean and overseas research trends in urban gardens by analyzing 63 Korean and 90 overseas articles deemed suitable for this study. Results: As to the types of urban gardens, the most significant type was community gardens, both in Korea and overseas (30.2% and 48.6%, respectively), followed by rooftop gardens in Korea (22.2%) and kitchen gardens overseas (22.2%). Due to the narrow and complex urban structure in Korea, people focus on using rooftop, wall, and alley spaces, and tend to arrange container-type flexible gardens. Overseas there has been a focus on promoting health and reducing food inequality through allotment and kitchen gardens, and a tendency to use a larger area as a fixed form than Korea. In addition, it was found that gardens in urban areas had a positive effect on urban biodiversity. Conclusion: To sum up, gardens in Korea are close to living spaces, and gardens overseas influence the ecosystem with an emphasis on food production. Therefore, creating urban gardens is a method of urban regeneration with a high utility that goes beyond mere food production, both in Korea and overseas, providing comprehensive benefits for the environment (37.73%) and society (62.27%). As such, continuous research on this area of study is needed to create policy guidelines for Korea.

서울대도시권역의 설정과 지역구조에 관한 연구 (A study on the establishment and regional strunture of Seoul metropolitan region)

  • 본 논문은 지속적인 서울시의 성장이 그 주변지역의 성장을 수반하면서 서울대도시 권화되어가는 과정을 밝히고 서울대도시권역을 설정한 후, 서울대도시권역 내에서 기능적 특성에 따라 지역을 분류하려는 것이 그 목적이었다. 1990년 시점에서의 서울대도시권역의 경계가 어느 정도 확대되었는가를 측정하기 위하여 도시화 정도를 측정하는 지표와 서울과 의 기능적 연계성을 측정하는 지표를 토대로 하여 그 권역을 설정하였다. 그 결과 서울대도 시권역은 수도권의 거의 전 지역을 포함하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 서울대도시권역에 포함된 지역들은 서울이 갖고 있는 기능을 일부 분담하면서 기능적인 면에서 특화되거나 전 문화되어 기능적 특성에 따라서 신종주거기능 탁월지역, 제조업기능 탁월지역, 서비스기능 탁월지역, 잠재적 개발가능지역의 4개 그룹으로 지역을 분류할 수 있었다.

대구지역 도로먼지에 함유된 미량원소성분과 오염원 평가 (Trace Elements and Source Assessment of Street Dust in Daegu, Korea)

  • 2006년 4월과 5월에 대구지역의 도로먼지로 채취한 총 48개의 시료를 100 ${\mu}m$ 이하로 체거름하고 산추출한 후 ICP로 14개 원소를 분석하였다. 농축계수를 이용한 미량원소성분의 발생원 평가결과, Ca, Fe, K, Mg, Mn, Na, V의 성분은 토양과 먼지와 같은 자연적 발생원에 의한 영향을 받고 있는 반면에 Cd, Cr, Cu, Ni, Pb, Zn의 성분은 연료연소와 폐기물소각과 같은 인위적 발생원에 의한 영향을 받고 있었다. 분석결과는 자연적 발생원과 관련된 성분이 인위적 발생원과 관련된 성분보다 매우 높은 농도를 보였다. 도로먼지에 함유된 미량원소성분은 대구지역이 외국의 다른 도시보다 대체로 더 높은 수준을 보였다. 미량원소성분의 농도와 중금속의 오염지수는 공업지역과 상업지역이 주거지역과 녹지지역보다 높았다. 그리고 미량원소성분간의 상관성 분석결과, 인위적 발생원과 관련된 성분간에는 유의한 상관성이 많았던 반면에 자연적 발생원과 관련된 성분간에는 유의한 상관성이 적었다. 게다가 교통량과 인위적 발생원과 관련된 성분간에도 유의한 상관성을 보였다.

  • Recently many buildings are airtight, deterioration takes the high stage. As this room ventilation is increasingly difficult, the importance of indoor air was emphasized. And Got a few provisions on the indoor ventilation, the building is used for other purposes also requires a lot of careful research. In this study, consisting of floor heating ventilation in the room and wants to know the impact on the human body react with the carbon dioxide concentration in the indoor air were investigated PMV. We have get the data through the experimental study like this. It can be inferred correlations of ventilation and temperature according to human comfort that you should consider when using the work of residential buildings in accordance with the changing social conditions and social. It is also determined that in the future through additional experiments related data can be established basic experimental data.

은퇴 후 주거이동 의사가 있는 미국 베이비붐 세대의 주거이동 요인분석 (U.S. Baby Boomers' Intention to Move and Reasons for Moving after Retirement)

  • The purpose of this study is to identify U.S. Baby Boomers' intention to move and their reasons for moving after retirement, and to examine the associations between their socio-demographic characteristics and housing characteristics, and their reasons for moving after retirement factors. A total of 403 usable data were collected through an online survey using a self-administrated questionnaire. For data analyses, descriptive statistics, factor analysis, t-test, and ANOVA were used. Almost 30% of the total respondents considered moving and 15% were strongly agreed to move after their retirement. The most frequently mentioned reasons for moving after retirement were 'a place with good weather', 'being close to leisure activities', and 'a change or decline of my current neighborhood'. Four factors of reasons for moving after retirement (quality of residential environment, need assistant, proximity to activities, and proximity to family/friends) were identified. Age, marital status, number of household, housing type, homeownership, length of residence, and number of bedroom were significantly associated with the four factors of reasons for moving. The results of this study provide a better understanding to U.S. Baby Boomers' housing behavior after retirement which is 10 years faster than Korea, and suggest insights of housing plan for Korean older adults.
