도시주택의 여름철 온열환경에 관한 측정실험 연구 (A Study on the Summer Thermal Environment in Korean Urban Residences)

  • This is a basic study designed to discover the most comfortable thermal environment for Korean residences. The purpose of the research is to observe and measure the summer thermal environment in Korean urban detached single family houses and apartments by utilising proposed evaluation standards and methods. The technique used involves the measurement of environmental elements, such as indoor temperature, relative humidity and radiant temperature both in detached single family houses and apartments. Also, in order to understand the resident's thermal comfort response. ASHRAE' thermal sensation 9th level, indoor temperature 5th level, and thermal discomfort 4th level in the psycho-physical voting scale (1972) was used. In conclusion, among Korean urban residences, detached single family houses provided a more stable thermal environment than apartments, as shown by physical psychological evaluations. The possible reason for such stability in detached single family houses may be the usage of reinforced concrete structures which maintain consistent temperatures.

  • Large-scaled apartment housing complex at outskirts of downtown which has direct influence on urban view concentrated on improving the space outside the complex like spatial composition of individual plan design, but neglected the contribution of urban view. However, as people's orientation toward urban areas was changed to quality from quantity, concerns on urban view have been gradually increased and planning of apartment housing has been extended to complex with view contributing to urban people as a factor composing the city in resident centered spatial composition. This study is therefore to examine the characteristics of view components of 13 apartment housing complexes at Sangmu District in Gwangju Metropolitan City and their influences on evaluating view image.

  • Recently a number of social surveys on community response to environmental noises have been conducted. Since standardized noise annoyance scales were needed to compare the results from various areas, ICBEN(International Commission on Biological of Noise) Team 6 planned a international joint study and constructed comparable standardized noise annoyance scales using the same method. In Korea the survey was conducted in four areas such as Seoul, Taejon, Taegu and Kwangju. About 100 subjects participated in each area approximately. The 21 adverbs were first in the early survey, and five verbal annoyance modifiers were finally constructed as follows;. 1 (Jeonhyo), 2 (Jokm), 3 (Bikyojerk), 4 (Ajoo), 5 (Umcheongnage)

Study on Evaluation of Coppice Landscape Depend on Healthiness of Plants

  • It is increasing scenery created as a result of pine wilt disease. The purpose of this study is to investigate the local resident's awareness against the scenery caused by pine wilt disease in their neighboring area, through the questionnaire investigation. The result showed that more than $40\%$ of the residents are not aware of such scenery in their local area, and about 30% of the residents did not know that those trees were dying. More than $40\%$ of the people do not know of the pine wilt disease as a general argument. Another question showed that the recognition of such scenery depends on the distance of the viewer. General residents don't worry about such scenery in the far distance in fact some of them think those are colored leaves. However, the nearer they see the trees, the higher they have negative feeling against it.

成人 女性의 水泳服 購買行動에 관한 硏究 -製品評價基準을 中心으로- (A Study on Adult Women`s Swimming Suit Buying Behavior -Focused on Product Evaluation Criteria-)

  • The purpose of this study was analyze how korean adult women\`s swimming suit buying behavior varied according to consumer characteristics. Especially, it was intended to provide basic materials for swimming suit product development and quality improvement appropriate to consumer characteristics with a focus on product evaluation criteria. Questionnaire research was conducted for 850 adult women resident in Seoul, to whom questionnaire were distributed and who were asked to complete their questionnaires. 1. As for buying motive, of swimming suit buying behavior, it was shown that the highest proportion of adult women bought their new swimming suit because their old swimming suit was wornout and most adult women tended to buy their new swimming suit or their own will rather than at others\` suggestion. 2. As for the source of information at a time. of swimming suit purchase, adult women collected information from the product on display most and bought their swimming suit in a planned way in relation to the degree of purchase planning. 3. As for product evaluation criteria, adult women showed the high scores in order of the type and quality of material, activity and functionalism, dimensions and fitness. 4. In many cases actual swimming suit purchasers were the adult women who bought their swimming suit, and they used the department store or the large shopping center as the place of purchasing the swimming suit. Its reason was that the department store or the large shopping center had a diverse assortment of products. As for the degree of their travelling companion\`s influence, it was found that most adult women were influenced by their travelling companions when purchasing their swimming suits. 5. As for the level of satisfaction with swimming suit purchase, it was shown that adult women were generally satisfied with their swimming suit purchase. It was found that their level of satisfaction was higher in order of activity and functionalism, the type and quality of swimming suit materials, and ease in washing management while they showed the low level of satisfaction with price, the fastness of color to washing, light and detergents and durability.

기능저하 저수지 선정을 위한 다기준 의사결정기법 적용성 연구 (Study on Applicability of Multi-Criteria Decision Making Technique for Malfunctioning Reservoir Selection)

  • The decision-making process is the act of finding the best solution among various alternatives through comparison between various criteria based on objectives of the project, evaluation standard, and conditions. However, in practice it is not easy to simply decide the optimum decision, especially for selecting malfunctioning reservoirs because no systematic evaluation criteria or standard assessment process are available. Therefore, this study adopted AHP method, which is a MCDM (multi-criteria decision making technique) to identify the malfunctioning reservoirs for efficient management of reservoirs. Important criteria of the selection of malfunctioning reservoirs and priority weights of each criteria were determined based on results of expert's survey under a stepwise hierarchical approach. The most important factor for the decision of malfunctioning reservoirs was obtained as Reservoir efficiency among the selected criteria including Reservoir efficiency decrease, Disaster Risk, Reservoir efficiency, Available water storage, Future water demand, Resident Needs. The AHP technique was applied on 11 reservoirs in Andong region to verify its applicability. Scoring method was applied for the comparison with the results of AHP method.

국민주택 규모의 공동주택 리모델링 계획안의 평가 (The Evaluation of the Proposal for Condominium Housing Remodeling in National Housing Scale($85m^2$))

  • This study illustrates a prototype proposal and its evaluation for the development of floor plans in the condominium housing remodeling. For this I evaluated the survey of the residents of the 'K' town in Joonge-dong, Nowon-gu, Seoul, against the proposal which was developed based on the resident's pre-survey. The result includes that the residents' preference for community actions such as the removal of fences which are reviewed as negative, whereas the introduction of a fitness center and community facilities in the library are reviewed as positive. The residents preferred the open space by the piloti structure, although which is the wall column structure, where they anticipated a rest area, sports facilities, and bicycle drop-off spots. The sidewall proposal in the main building and the full use of the roof floor were underestimated in terms of design concept. The research also illustrated the residents' desired space planning options, those tending to use of space 'B type', personalization 'C type' and spatial size 'A type'. Residents responded positively to the introduction of the 'Alpha' space in which two households share one space that could be used for multiple purposes such as a rest area, an environment-friendly garden, and hobby room, etc, and also there is another possibility it plays an important role to the sociality in community.

장애인을 위한 주택개조 사업의 특성과 주택개조가 거주후 만족도에 미치는 영향 (Characteristics of Housing Renovation for the Disabled and the Effects of Housing Renovation on Their Housing Satisfaction)

  • For the quality of life and independent living of the disabled, government has provided financial supports for housing renovation and improvement projects for the disabled. However, there is a limited budget which should be properly distributed for a number of disabled families. Therefore, it is important to decide which parts should be improved for housing renovation for the disabled. Financial and administrative supports for the renovation should improve housing conditions in terms of accessibility (barrier free) and should bring the better comfort for the disabled. The purpose of this study was to describe the characteristics of the housing renovation projects, to investigate whether the renovation influence occupants' satisfaction, and to examine which factor such as renovation cost and renovation elements would influence the degree of satisfaction for residents with disabilities. Participants of this study are limited to the recipients of financial supports for housing renovation and refurbishment from City of Seoul and Ministry of Health and Welfare. A total of 153 cases were analyzed using post occupancy survey and the project cost data for the participants' housing were collected. Overall, more cost were used for modification for housing condition than for removal of architectural barriers. Housing type and physical condition of the housing affects cost for renovation more significantly. Overall the improvement cost is positively related to resident's satisfaction using regression analysis. In addition, it is important to meet the residents specific needs for repair, refurbishment, and renovation of housing.

한국과 미국 공공 임대아파트 거주자의 이동과 단지 내 활동 - 서울 SH공사 아파트와 미네소타 주 PHA 아파트의 비교를 중심으로 - (The Comparison of Residents' Movement and Activities of Public Rental Apartments in Korea and the United States - Focused on the Comparison of SH Apartments and PHA Apartments -)

  • The purpose of this research is to compare residents' movement and activities in SH apartment in Yangcheon-Gu, Seoul (SH apartment) and PHA apartment in St. Paul, Minnesota (PHA apartment) in order to improve the quality of rental housing environment. This study had surveyed 418 residents of SH apartments in Korea and used the secondary data gathered from 1,462 residents of PHA apartments in the United States. The results of this study are as follows: The criteria of Korean residents in SH apartments when choosing their residences are lower rent payment and shorter waiting time. They seemed to have no other options than public rental housing. On the contrary, American residents in PHA apartment had more option to choose from. Therefore, Korea needs to offer more variety types of residents that can be lead to better satisfaction of low income classes. Most of the SH apartments residents has lived for long-term, in the average of more than 6 years, and wanted to live continually at their current dwelling. PHA residents showed similar tendency. However, long term residency may lead to permanent occupation of the public rental apartment by the same family. Hence, a system which can provide equal residency opportunities to all low-income classes need to be developed. Residents of SH apartment were satisfied with the personal activities but were not satisfied with group activities among residents or regarding resident meetings. However, residents of PHA apartments were more satisfied with their management because there is more in-housing-complex activity programs. Therefore, more activity program for a resident should be developed after analysing programs of different apartments and current conditions in Korea. There were some noticeable divergences among residents, based on their age, term of residence and physical, emotional and mental problem, when evaluating in-housing-complex's programs. Thus, these factors are also need to be considered when planning and examining evaluation about the management of rental apartments.

국내 의료 환경 중의 Methicillin 내성 Staphylococcus aureus의 모니터링에 관한 연구 (Monitoring of Methicillin Resistant Staphylococcus aureus from Medical Environment in Korea.)

  • 의료환경에서 MRSA의 분포정도를 알아보고자 전국적으로 400병동 이상의 규모 13개 병원에 대해서 간호사, 의사, 보호자 및 환자의 손과 비강에서 MRSA를 모니터링 하였다. 검체 채취 대상인 의사, 간호사, 보호자, 환자 그리고 일반인으로부터 S. aureus 625균주를 분리하였다. 검출률을 보면 비강에서는 의사 40%, 간호사 23.8%, 보호자 32.3%, 환자 21.5%,일반인 27.5%의 검출률을 보였고, 손에서는 의사 54.6%, 간호사 18.5%, 보호자 46.2%, 환자 37.7%, 일반인에서 33.1%의 검출률을 나타내었다. 항생제 내성률을 살펴본 결과 분리된 S. aureus 625 균주 중 1가지 이상의 항생제에 내성을 가지고 있는 균주는 585균주로 93.6%의 내성률을 나타내었다. 대체적으로 의료 환경에서 분리한 균이 일반인에게서 분리한 균보다 많은 종류의 항생제에 내성을 보이는 것으로 나타났다. 4가지 계열의 서로 다른 항생제에 내성이 있는 균주인 다제 내성균은 112주(17.9%)가 검출되었다. 대체적으로 간호사와 환자의 비강과 손에서 분리된 균의 다제 내성률이 높게 나왔다. 의료인, 환자, 보호자 및 일반인의 비강에서 분리한 S. aureus 252 균주 중 penicillin과 oxacillin에 동시에 내성을 보인 MRSA로 49균주(19.4%)가 분리되었다. 구체적으로 보면 의사 11균주(16.7%), 간호사 13균주(32.5%), 보호자 6균주(11.1%), 환자에서 19균주 (48.7%)가 분리되었고 일반인의 비강에서는 분리되지 않았다. 의료인, 비 의료인 및 일반인의 손에서 분리한 S. aureus 373주 중 MRSA로 103균주(27.6%)가 분리되었다. 구체적으로 보면 의사 22균주(22.4%), 간호사 13균주(43.3%), 보호자 24균주(24.2%), 환자 31균주(41.9%), 일반인에서 13균주(18.1%)가 분리되었다. 따라서 의료 환경 내 의료인(의사, 간호사)에서는 비강보다 손에서 MRSA가 높은 비율로 검출되었으며 의사보다 간호사에서 MRSA가 많이 분리되었다. 비 의료인(보호자, 환자, 일반인)의 경우 일반인 보다 의료 환경 내에 있는 보호자와 환자에게서, 보호자보다는 환자에게서 MRSA가 많이 분리되었다. 이번에 실시한 의료 환경 중에서는 MRSA 152균주(24.3%)가 분리되어 축산이나 수산환경에서 보다 높은 분리율을 보였는데 이는 축산과 수산 환경에서보다 직접적으로 항생제를 많이 사용하고 또 항생제에 많이 노출되어 있기 때문이라고 사료되었다. 전체적으로 의료인보다 비의료인 환자에서 보다 많은 MRSA가 분리되고 MIC는 대체적으로 비슷하거나 조금 더 높은 것으로 나타나 병실의 환경개선이 필요할 것으로 사료되었다.
