Aiming at solving the problems associated with existing wireless paging systems, this paper proposed a 4W1H+L+PI concept to context-aware information structure, based on which, a new wireless paging system named 119 system is developed under ubiquitous environment. Bemuse of the adoption of RFID tags in the wireless paging system, hazard and malfunction rates are reduced, thus accuracy is guaranteed. Besides, response time is shortened comparing with existing systems. In the future, if emergency aid information system can be implemented under the ubiquitous computing environment combined with sensor network, then aid service of good quality will be provided.

This study aims to develop a rich understanding of user goals in user-empowering information technologies which have been dominating part in the information systems environment. A particular focus is on users' goals in a social network site (SNS) which is a typical example of user-empowering technologies. Users conduct various activities in order to achieve diverse goals in SNS. Thus, investigating what goals users pursue in SNS will give insights into understanding the users. We employed the laddering interview technique and means-end chain approach. Interviews of 50 Facebook users were analyzed to produce a hierarchical goal map showing users' goal structure. The map contains 18 goals, including self-reflection, psychological stability, belongingness, improving productivity, and amusement as ultimate goals in SNS. In the map, there are varied routes from activities to ultimate goals in SNS; that is, a complex assembly consisting of activities and goals. The findings call the information systems research community to have more interests in diverse goals and values users seek with technologies.

Downsizing IS is rapidly emerging as one of new information systems of the 1990s that involves (1) the cost reduction, (2) the reduction of MIS staff, and (3) the transfer of IS functions to end - users. As downsizing is relatively new information systems, little is known about the causes, the process, or the consequences of downsizing. Case study was chosen as the research methodology of this study. The downsizing IS of Namsun Aluminum Co. Ltd. in Taugu City was chosen for the exploratory case study. The detailed and qualitative analyses to Namsun were performed with the use of observation, participation, and interview techniques. Consequently, the causes, the process, and the consequences of Namsun's downsizing were analyzed and discussed. As for the main cause, downsizing was started with the purpose of cost reduction. The important consequences of downsizing IS are as follows : (1) About 700 million won reduction in the cost of initially developing the downsizing was achieved. (2) Downsizing is performing Namsun's mission critical applications. (3) Namsun's downsizing could be considered to be SIS(strategic information systems).

Purpose - The purpose of this paper is to find out the determinants of the quality of financial information in the financial environment of the cement companies of Bangladesh. Research design, data and methodology - This study considers a total of fifty-eight firm years as the sample from the seven listed cement companies of Bangladesh during the period of 2007 to 2015. This study applies the multivariate regression analysis including the pooled OLS, panel and controlling time. Results - This study finds that profitability and external financing are the two major explanatory variables in determining the quality of financial information. This study also finds that firm size and accrual quality don't have any significant influence on quality of financial information. Conclusion - This study observed that profitability of this sector which is much volatile and prone to be manipulated. Thus, this paper suggests that higher profitability needs more scrutiny while assessing quality of financial information. Finally, this study provides some indications for future research such as considering the listed firms of other sectors of Bangladesh or cross country comparison in different country setting.

The purpose of this research is to review how Korean KM companies are applying information technology to their operations from the four perspectives of knowledge conversion (KC) and to suggest ideas for introducing appropriate knowledge management implementation methodology through the case studies of Korean KM companies that have adopted knowledge management strategy using information technology. This research was conducted focusing on the cases of companies that are carrying out knowledge management by applying information technology and the result shows that Korean KM companies place high value on the application of information technology in introducing knowledge management. However, the use of information technology is not common to all kind of companies in four kinds of knowledge conversion.

Technical innovation is very important in the small and medium enterprises. All successful innovation stars from a creative ideas, it be a new application for a technology, the satisfaction of a new identified need or of an old need in a new way, or the manufacture of a product by a different method. The purpose of this study is to investigate into the implementation effect of IMS(information management system) for information in small and medium enterprises. This research analysis was done as to small and medium enterprises of 24. The Results for this research analysis was as follows. First, the satisfaction scored 4.10 in information level up of the small and medium enterprises. Second, increased effect productivity scored 3.37 in samples of 17. Thrid, increased management efficiency productivity scored 3.14 in samples of 17.

The aim of this study is to investigate the automatic recognition and analysis of Jeju marine-life images using artificial intelligence (AI) technology. The dataset of marine-life images was prepared using tools such as Python, TensorFlow, and Google Colab (Google Colaboratory). We also developed models by training deep learning AI in image recognition to automatically recognize the species found in these images and extract their associated information, such as taxonomy, characteristics, and distribution. This study is innovative in that it uses deep learning technology combined with imagerecognition technology for marine biodiversity research. In addition, these results will lead to the development of the marine-life industry in Jeju by supporting marine environment monitoring and marine resource conservation. Furthermore, this study is anticipated to contribute to academic advancement, specifically in the study of marine species diversity.

This study assessed diversity in MIS research by examining 357 articles published in Journal of MIS Research from 1991 to 2003. The classification system developed by Vessey et al.(2002) was employed to examine research diversity of the articles. The classification system comprises four key characteristics of diversity such as research topic, research method, level of analysis, and reference discipline. The results of our study were also compared with Vessey et al,(2002)'s results to address problems in current MIS research and to suggest some recommendations for the future MIS research in Korea.

This thesis implements retrieving systems with easy to retrieve photos which end-user want to find based m end-user computing(EUC)'s a theoretical study on factors in exert a effect on the computing systems. And also this systems allow a photographer to store his works in the database of this systems by himself on internet environment. This sock photo systems is developed with object oriented design methodology so it is easy to modify and to reuse software. And this systems can use for electronic commerce by adding the electronic payment systems.
