  • Indonesia has the largest potential mobile payment (m-payment) market in Southeast Asia. The government has realised this through Government's National Non-Cash Movement to increase its adoption. This is then followed up by advocating its adoption massively. However, for this movement to be a success, ensuring its continued use is critical. Various studies have attempted to contribute to this issue. Incorporating game elements into the application that brings benefits and satisfaction to its user is envisaged as one of the most feasible ways. This study, therefore, sets out to investigate the effects of gamification on the m-payment application, which drive the intention to continued use by employing the Uses dan Gratification Theory (UGT). A total of 826 m-payment users were gathered to be analysed using Structural Equation Modelling. The results show that utilitarian, hedonic and social gratifications have significant effects on the continuance usage intention of m-payment. Theoretically, this study contributes to the literature by showing that gamification applied in the payment significantly affects the m-payment continuance usage intention. Practically, this research informs the m-payment providers to maintain the gamification elements in their applications to ensure their sustainable use. Limitations and future research directions are also discussed.

  • This research uses a new approach to analyze the extent of influence journal papers have on the progress of varied research fields by estimation of subject-based influence on research other than impact factor that relies on citation index. It is initiated with the hypothesis that earlier established citation relations between journal and citing paper, which reveals the research field that contains the highest citation index and hence has received the greatest contribution from a particular journal, would have inconsistent contribution to the research field over the year of journal publication. The target research is primarily 128 journal papers and 4,123 citing papers from Information Systems Research published in the years 2001, 2004, 2007, and 2010. The characteristics of citation history and hallmarks of research field of citing papers were studied and analysis on significant distinction between citing fields based on the year of publication was performed. The analysis results show the order of citation rate to be highest from Computer Science (2,221 cases), Business & Economics (2,191 cases), and Information Science & Library Science (1,901 cases). The citation history of the journal, nonetheless, indicates increase in citation during 2-3 years after the earliest publication till it achieves constant citation. The statistical analysis shows significant variation in citing fields in accordance with the publication year; especially in 2010, journal contribution has increased in the fields of Business & Economics, Operations Research & Management Science, and Health Care Sciences & Services but, however, is reduced in Education & Educational Research and Social Sciences - Other Topics.

  • As science and technology infiltrates every aspects of modern society in terms of economic and social growth and development, funding for research and development (R&D) is growing rapidly. Republic of Korea is not an exception in this trend and the R&D funding in Korea has been grown about 10% every year, recently. However, as the scope and size of funding grows exponentially, need for monitoring and managing these R&D projects becoming more and more imminent. Though different types of project management systems were developed by a variety of agencies and departments and used in monitoring and managing, these systems were developed as standalone silo type systems. These systems are not connected to each other while the same researchers may involved in different projects across agencies and department. Also, these management systems are not linked to the banking systems in which real transactions of funding occurs, such as cost reimbursement and financial audit of each R&D accounts. Historically, a few fraud and malappropriation cases were found and indicted. However, as the number of these incidents grows along with the growth of R&D funding, a large scale integration/linking of project management systems and banking systems. Realizing the importance of systems integration among agencies as well as with the banking systems, situational requirements analyses were conducted concerning the current state of R&D management system. As a results, a Real-time Case Management System (RCMS) was proposed as a solution to current problems. In this paper, the collected systems requirements were documents with analyses of the situation, the architecture of the integrated systems with more user-friendly technological alternatives. This large scale linkage requires interface standardization as well as modularization of interfaces. Proposed systems architecture is introduced here with technical details of Jex Framework used,, followed by resulting technical and economic performance of the Realtime Cashflow Management System (RCMS).

  • The increasing demand for the distance learning has created a need to explore the implications of the emerging paradigm shift in the learning environment. For the use of information technology to improve learning processes, the pedagogical assumptions underlying the design of information technology for educational purposes must be understood. However, little theoretical development or empirical research has examined learning effectiveness in web-based distance learning. Thus, this paper reviews from research in management communications, education, social psychology, and information systems literatures to develop an conceptual model of influences on web-based corporate education outcomes. The hypotheses empirically examined using survey data from 152 students of 'L' company. The data support the validity and reliability of our constructs. And the hypotheses of this study get partially significant support. Finally, the implications of this survey results are discussed in terms of learning performance.

  • Unlike the past, modern high-tech weapons systems are complex and many components are combined to form a weapons system. In addition, unlike the past, where hardware was the main component, the proportion of software is increasing every year, making the security assurance activities of weapon systems more difficult than in the past. The United States has been working to ensure the security of the weapons systems they develop since the 1960s. The findings were made to US internal standards, updated regularly, and are now being applied as RMF. In Korea, research activities have been conducted since 2010 based on the RMF of the United States. However, actual RMF application cases in the United States cannot be classified and obtained, and there are no official cases in Korea. In this paper, we apply Korean RMF research that has been studied so far to apply to the recently developed real weapon system. Thus, detailed guidelines for applying the RMF are presented.

In this respect, we analysis of the laws and systems related to domestic blockchains, draw out the limitations, and suggest directions for improvement. The research method was analyzed the literature and related laws through literature review. It is difficult to analyze the whole law and system at one time, so we examined the necessary laws and systems to revitalize the blockchain. It is confirmed that legal improvement is needed on the scope of electronic transactions and electronic financial transactions, electronic commerce, digital signatures, import and export, personal information protection, blockchain industry promotion and research. Through this, we expect a balanced development of effective blockchain revitalization and protection of national fundamental rights. Individual studies on the legal provisions and systems for each item in the future can be conducted.

  • For various target tracking applications, it is well known that the Kalman filter is the optimal estimator(in the minimum mean-square sense) to predict and estimate the state(position and/or velocity) of linear dynamical systems driven by Gaussian stochastic noise. In the case of nonlinear systems, Extended Kalman filter(EKF) and/or Unscented Kalman filter(UKF) are widely used, which can be viewed as approximations of the(linear) Kalman filter in the sense of the conditional expectation. However, to implement EKF and UKF, the exact dynamical model information and the statistical information of noise are still required. In this paper, we propose the recurrent neural-network based Kalman filter, where its Kalman gain is obtained via the proposed GRU-LSTM based neural-network framework that does not need the precise model information as well as the noise covariance information. By the proposed neural-network based Kalman filter, the state estimation performance is enhanced in terms of the tracking error, which is verified through various linear and nonlinear tracking problems with incomplete model and statistical covariance information.
