  • This study aimed at the improvement of the conventional methods of VE Function Analysis, the most important phase of VE process, through Quality Function Development. The use of Function Requirement Coefficients in Quality Function Development makes the Function Development more objective, and it was found that VE techniques, when used in combination with QC techniques. Improve the value of product considerably.

However, So far Web Application about the justice of the development environment which is accurate is not becoming well.   • Value-based requirements engineering process, called The ViRE(Value-Innovative Requirement Engineering) was suggested to create an uncontested market using ERRC(Eliminate, Reduce, Raise, Create) requirements analysis. But ViRE did not provides a quantitative data analysis method for ERRC decision so as to make objective decisions for customers. In this paper, to solve this problem, we suggest a quantitative ERRC analysis method by estimating requirements cost. Our method defines user requirements and decides their weight. Then, it makes quality level table for all the identified requirements and function modules and estimate implementation cost based on their quality levels. Finally, assess each requirement's impact and then evaluate ERRC value. We could get the more objective ERRC values by evaluate the requirement weight. functional module weight, and implementation cost. And we proved the efficiency of our model by a case study, smart student ID system.

  • In this work, we use a numerical method to solve the nonlinear integral equation of the second kind when the kernel of the integral equation in the logarithmic function form or in Carleman function form. The solution has a computing time requirement of $0(N^2)$, where (2N +1) is the number of discretization points used. Also, the error estimate is computed.

  • Light Rail Transit is system that offer target Performance and function because various sub-system such as vehicles, power supply, signaling, communication, mechanical, track, civil is consisted as large complex system. Light Rail Transit and the complex system of safety, reliability to be a behavior, and target performance and function properly to system's configuration, design, manufacture, installation and test verification, through operations system requirements to accurately describe what It is more important. With this study, light rail system KSX ISO/IEC 15288 system life cycle process by applying engineering techniques utilizing light rail system in the early stages of construction from the concept, design, production, operation, maintenance and end-use to the disposal stage throughout the entire life cycle, from the beginning of construction until the end of construction of the stakeholder to define requirements, analyze the introduction of the system developers and system requirement of those who wish to be described accurately by selecting the best system and system requirement in order to achieve their purpose.

  • In this paper, partially repairable concurrent spare parts requirement determination problem of newly procured equipment systems is considered. “partially repairable” means that a portion of damaged parts can be recover their function and reused after repairs. A mathematical model is derived for making an CSP requirement determination subject to the constraint of satisfying any given operational availability limitation. We assume that the failure of a part follows a Poisson process and the repair time has an exponential distribution. Using the generalized Lagrange multipliers method, the solution procedure is derived.

  • The most important requirement for the controller of a prosthetic arm is that it has a high fidelity discriminator where the motion control may be performed open loop using EMG signals as a control source. Therefore, it is very effective method to reduce the influence of misclassification of classifier for the total system performance. This paper presents the new function discrimination method which combines MLP classifier and frizzy filter by stages for the requirement. The major advantage of MLP is a consistent learning capability for the easy adaptation to environments. The fuzzy filter uses all informations of MLP outputs and prior EMG activity informations which increase as the experience increases. That property is superior to one which uses maximum output of MLP in view of information amounts and quality. Simulation result shows that proposed method is superior to the probabilistic model, MLP model and the combined model of both in the respect of discrimination quaity.

  • Since the introduction of competition in the telecommunication market due to the growth of the interconnection between heterogeneous networks, particularly fixed and mobile networks, the interconnection charge based on traffic-sensitive (TS) and non-traffic-sensitive (NTS) costs has become more important. Although there have been many studies of the public switched telephone network (PSTN), previous studies of TS and NTS costs in mobile networks are very few. In this paper, as a pilot study, we propose three criteria and a procedure for the classification of TS and NTS costs based on mobile systems. The three criteria are the following: function type, investment requirement, and main exhaust driver. Moreover, for a CDMA mobile system, strongly TS, strongly NTS, and mixed components are classified by the proposed criteria and procedure. The proposed criteria, procedure, and classification can provide a systematic and useful guideline to decide the scope of mobile facilities and to determine the terminating cost on mobile networks from fixed networks.

  • The research and development stage can improve the goal level of the project through systematic operation and management of systems engineering. The test evaluation tasks in the R&D process have a lot of connections with the system engineering in terms of requirement management, and the methodology for deriving the requirements when establishing the test evaluation items has been consistently required. In this paper, we propose the process of effectively establishing and using QFD (Quality Function Deployment), a tool to manage customer requirement, and drawing up HOQ (House of Quality) in the search and exploratory development stage of the self - propelled mortar project.

Design and Performance Verification of a LWIR Zoom Camera for Drones

  • We present the optical design and experimental verification of resolving performance of a 3× long wavelength infrared (LWIR) zoom camera for drones. The effective focal length of the system varies from 24.5 mm at the wide angle position to 75.1 mm at the telephoto position. The design specifications of the system were derived from ground resolved distance (GRD) to recognize 3 m × 6 m target at a distance of 1 km, at the telephoto position. To satisfy the system requirement, the aperture (f-number) of the system is taken as F/1.6 and the final modulation transfer function (MTF) should be higher than 0.1 (10%). The measured MTF in the laboratory was 0.127 (12.7%), exceeds the system requirement. Outdoor targets were used to verify the comprehensive performance of the system. The system resolved 4-bar targets corresponding to the spatial resolution at the distance of 1 km, 1.4 km and 2 km.
