In this study, data repository information registered in re3data (re3data.org), a research data registry, was collected. Based on collected data, the current status was analyzed for 354 repositories (approximately 14% of total repositories) in the field using keywords in the ecological field suggested by two experts. Major metadata formats used to describe data in ecological research data repositories include Federal Geographic Data Committee Content Standard for Digital Geospatial Metadata (FGDC/CSDGM), Dublin Core, ISO 19115, Ecological Metadata Language (EML), Directory Interchange Format (DIF), Darwin Core, Data Documentation Initiative (DDI), and DataCite Metadata Schema. The number of ecological repositories according to country is 102 in the US, 34 in Germany, 31 in Canada, and one in Korea. A total of 771 non-profit organizations and 12 for-profit organizations are involved in the construction of the ecological field research data repository. Data version control ratio of the ecological field research data repositories registered in re3data was analyzed to be somewhat higher (86.6%) than the total ratio (83.9%). Results of this study can be used to establish policies to build and operate a research data repository in the ecological field.

The purpose of this study is to measure and analyze the quality of service provided to the users by evaluating the service quality of the May 18 Democratic Uprising Archives, which is a representative,special subject repository, using the SERVQUAL model. To do this, revealing the relationship between factors such as service satisfaction of the archive users, overall service quality and intention of the action. Through this, this study developed service evaluation factors by considering the special subject repository.

본 연구는 우리나라의 개방형 기관 리포지터리 확산을 위해 리포지터리 수용의 영향요인을 분석하고자 한 것이다. 데이터 수집을 위해 개방형 기관 리포지터리 수용기관과 비수용기관을 대상으로 질문조사를 진행하였고 질문지는 수정된 기술확산 통합모델을 적용하여 구성하였다. 기술확산 통합모델은 혁신이나 기술이 특정 요인이나 계기를 통해서 사회전반에 확산되는 일련의 과정을 설명하는 이론이다. 분석결과, 개방형 기관 리포지터리 수용을 결정하는 주요한 영향요인에는 사회적 특성이 가장 많은 영향을 끼치는 것으로 나타났고 다음으로 기관의 특성, 혁신저항특성, 시스템 특성의 순으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 우리나라 리포지터리 확산과 활성화를 위한 정책 수립의 기초적인 자료를 제공할 것이다.

본 연구는 국내 대학도서관의 공동보존서고 설립 및 운영을 위한 기초 자료로서, 미국의 대표적인 공동보존서고 ReCAP(Research Collections and Preservation Consortium)의 운영 사례를 통해 국내 적용 가능한 공동보존서고 설립 및 운영 방안을 제시하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 ReCAP 공동보존서고 및 참여기관인 콜럼비아대학교 도서관, 프린스턴대학교 도서관, 뉴욕공공도서관, 하버드대학교 도서관을 방문 조사하였고, ReCAP 업무 담당 전문가를 대상으로 심층인터뷰를 실시하였다. 분석 결과, 공동보존서고는 보존시설에 대한 공유에서 공유 장서(shared collection)와 공유 이용(shared use)으로 확대 발전된 것으로 나타났다. 하지만 장기적인 공동관리를 위한 시스템 구축 및 초기 예상보다 빠른 보존공간의 한계에 따른 이관자료지침수립 및 공동장서개발 정책 수립 등의 필요성이 제기되었다.

이 연구는 해외 공동보존서고의 자료이관지침과 자료제공지침을 분석하여 향후 국내 공동보존서고 운영에 참고할 수 있는 실질적인 데이터를 제공하기 위해 실시되었다. 이를 위해 해외 대학도서관을 중심으로 운영되고 있는 공동보존서고 7개관의 홈페이지와 관련 자료를 분석하였다. 자료이관지침은 이관자료의 유형과 수량, 자료유형별 이관기준, 자료의 소유권 처리, 자료의 폐기 등을 중심으로, 자료제공지침은 보존서고 관내이용과 자료대출/전송서비스 등 관외서비스 등을 중심으로 살펴보았다. 이 연구의 결과는 향후 국내 공동보존서고 운영지침 수립에 기초데이터로 활용할 수 있을 것이다.

국내 대표적인 기관 레포지터리인 dCollection에서 다양한 유형의 학술자원을 기술할 수 있도록 SOMS 메타데이터의 확장안을 제시하였다. 이를 위해 국내외 기관 레포지터리의 동향을 메타데이터와 관련된 측면에서 조사하였으며, DSpace를 개발 운영하고 있는 MIT와 MIT 메타데이터를 확장해 사용하는 브뤽셀 대학의 DISpace 메타데이터를 분석하고 SOMS에서 확장이 필요한 요소를 도출하였다. 제안된 SOMS는 다양한 유형의 자원을 기술하고, 기관 내 연구업적정보시스템과 연계하여 수집된 데이터를 보다 더 상세하게 기술할 수 있을 것이다.

최근 지역대표도서관을 중심으로 해당 지역 도서관자료를 체계적으로 이관받아 장기적으로 보존하기 위한 노력이 지역별로 진행되고 있다. 이 연구는 지역대표도서관 공동보존서고 운영계획 수립단계에서 첫걸음은 지역 내 단위도서관의 자료보존현황을 파악하고 현장 사서의 의견을 수렴하여 공동보존서고 계획과정에 반영하는 일이라는 관점에서 출발하였다. 이에 이 연구는 부산지역 공공도서관의 자료보존현황을 바탕으로 부산도서관 공동보존서고 운영방안을 논의하고자 하였다. 구체적으로는 1) 부산지역 공공도서관의 자료보존 현황과 부산도서관 공동보존서고 운영에 대한 사서들의 의견을 조사하고, 2) 부산도서관 공동보존서고 운영방안을 자료이관방안과 공간운영방안 등으로 나누어 제안하는 것을 목적으로 한다.

The Digitalia MUNI ARTS - a local node of the LINDAT/CLARIAH-CZ research infrastructure at the Faculty of Arts of Masaryk University constitutes a repository in the Islandora system. It is used for long-term preservation of research data together with their research environment in the form of digital platforms. We transfer the digital outputs of humanities scholars research to the repository according to a set plan, which is based on best practice recommendations for project management and digital curation. In this paper, we present how the results of interviews with platform developers and infrastructure stakeholders translate into the curation workflow, and a resulting model for migrating digital platforms to the repository. Reflecting on three types of problems we encountered during the implementation of platforms into the repository - communication problems, problems of external dependence, and management problems - we describe a modification of the migration process. We present six recommendations for repository administrators and curators in an academic setting - holding an introductory meeting with developers, researching significant and relevant theories of knowledge domain, consulting license experts, prioritizing requirements, and preparing handover protocol and progress reports.

This paper discusses awareness of institutional repositories and open access publishing among faculty members in Annamalai University, Tamil Nadu, India. The authors distributed 200 questionnaires among the faculty members in Annamalai University. Out of 200 questionnaires, 160 responses (80.00%) were received from faculty members. The respondents mentioned the motivating factors while using an institutional repository and indicated the benefits, constraints and strategies to develop open access in publications. It is evident from the table that more than 95% among the average of the faculty members confirm the benefits of open access in publications. 150 (93.75%) of faculty members have awareness, 6 (3.75%) have no idea and 4 (2.50%) state no opinion about awareness of institutional repository and open access publishing.

국내 대학도서관의 교내 지식자원 수집활동은 대학의 규모에 따라 차이가 크고, 디지털 자원의 수집은 일부 유형에 집중되어 있는 것으로 조사되었다. 최근 선진국 주요 대학들은 지식생산기지로서 이미지 개선을 통한 경쟁력 제고를 위하여 대학의 지식자원에 대한 OA기반 기관리포지토리 방식의 사회적 개방과 공유 활동을 활발히 전개하고 있다. 본고는 대학 지식자원의 통합관리 적임자로서 대학도서관의 역할을 제고하기 위하여, 대학원, 연구소, 교수학습센터, e-learning 지원센터, 박물관, 출판국, 기록관 등 교내 다양한 조직들이 생산하는 지식자원을 효과적으로 수집하고 통합관리하기 위하여 요구되는 관련법제의 개선방안을 검토하였다. 이를 위하여 전국 176개 종합대학의 도서관규정 운영 실태를 조사하여, 납본범위의 확대와 디지털납본을 촉진하기 위하여 필요한 정비방안을 제시하고, 관련 규정의 개선방안을 검토하였다.
