  • 본 논문에서는 스트리밍 미디어 캐슁 서버의 효율적인 캐슁 구조를 위하여 참조 횟수, 참조량, 참조 시간 둥의 정량적인 인자들과 사용자 요구 주기를 적용하여 최근 참조 경향에 높은 가중치를 부여함으로써 변화하는 콘텐츠 선호 경향에 빠르게 적응하는 가중치 기반의 캐쉬 교체 정책을 제안한다. 성능 분석은 시뮬레이션 환경 구축을 통해 실험하였으며 LRU, LFU와 SEG 캐쉬 정책과 비교 분석하여 향상된 결과를 보였다.

Improved Quality Keyframe Selection Method for HD Video

  • With the widespread use of the Internet, services for providing large-capacity multimedia data such as video-on-demand (VOD) services and video uploading sites have greatly increased. VOD service providers want to be able to provide users with high-quality keyframes of high quality videos within a few minutes after the broadcast ends. However, existing keyframe extraction tends to select keyframes whose quality as a keyframe is insufficiently considered, and it takes a long computation time because it does not consider an HD class image. In this paper, we propose a keyframe selection method that flexibly applies multiple keyframe quality metrics and improves the computation time. The main procedure is as follows. After shot boundary detection is performed, the first frames are extracted as initial keyframes. The user sets evaluation metrics and priorities by considering the genre and attributes of the video. According to the evaluation metrics and the priority, the low-quality keyframe is selected as a replacement target. The replacement target keyframe is replaced with a high-quality frame in the shot. The proposed method was subjectively evaluated by 23 votes. Approximately 45% of the replaced keyframes were improved and about 18% of the replaced keyframes were adversely affected. Also, it took about 10 minutes to complete the summary of one hour video, which resulted in a reduction of more than 44.5% of the execution time.

Improved SOH Prediction Model for Lithium-ion Battery Using Charging Characteristics and Attention-Based LSTM (충전 특성과 어텐션 기반 LSTM을 활용한 개선된 리튬이온 배터리 SOH 예측 모델)

  • Recently, the need to prevent battery fires and accidents has emerged, as the use of lithium-ion batteries has increased. In order to prevent accidents, it is necessary to predict the state of health (SOH) and check the replacement timing of the battery with a lot of degradation. This paper proposes a model for predicting the degradation state of a battery by using four battery degradation indicators: maximum voltage arrival time, current change time, maximum temperature arrival time, and incremental capacity (IC) that can be obtained in the battery charging process, and LSTM using an attention mechanism. The performance of the proposed model was measured using the NASA battery data set, and the predictive performance was improved compared to that of the general LSTM model, especially in the SOH 90-70% section, which is close to the battery replacement cycle.

Signboard Replacement in Video clip (비디오 클립에서의 간판영역 교체 기법)

  • In this paper, we propose a technique for smoothly replacing a signboard image in a video clip with another signboard image and an application for performing it. In order to replace the signboard area in the image, it must be tracked and the shape of the signboard changed. Also, when an obstruction occurs due to a front object, the obscured area is extracted so that only the signboard area can be replaced, and color correction is performed for natural synthesis. The proposed application receives the information required by the algorithm from the user and explains the required functions, thereby disclosing the entire process in which the algorithm is actually implemented and tested. This can be used for a variety of media, and can be used as a means to remove the indirect advertisement that is often seen, and it can also be used as a new advertisement model in which another advertisement image is inserted into the image to be advertised.

  • Continuous media objects, due to large volume and real-time consiraints in their delivery,are likely to consume much network andwidth Generally, proxy servers are used to hold the fiequently requested objects so as to reduce the network traffic to the central server but most of them are designed for text and image dae that they do not go well with continuous media data. So, in this paper, we propose a two-layered network cache management policy for continuous media object delivery on the wide area networks. With the proposed cache management scheme,in cach LAN, there exists one LAN cache and each LAN is further devided into a group of sub-LANs, each of which also has its own sub-LAN eache. Further, each object is also partitioned into two parts the front-end and rear-end partition. they can be loaded in the same cache or separately in different network caches according to their access frequencics. By doing so, cache replacement overhead could be educed as compared to the case of the full size daa allocation and replacement , this eventually reduces the backbone network traffic to the origin server.

  • Physical parameters such as porosity and effective porosity are important physical parameters that determine the transfer and movement of water and solutes in porous media. Various methods of determining these parameters have been developed, with varying degrees of accuracy and applicability. Most of the existing methods produce static results. They do not produce instantaneous and real time of porosity and effective porosity in a porous media. In this study, a new permittivity method called Frequency Domain Reflectometry with Vector analyzer (FDR-V) is proposed to determine the porosity and effective porosity of some sand samples in the laboratory. The advantage of the FDR-V method is that it instantaneously determines the temporal variation of dielectric constants of porous media. Then, the porosity and the effective porosity of porous media are computed using well established empirical equations. Results obtained from the FDR-V method compared favorably with results from other permittivity methods such as gravimetric, injection and replacement tests. The ratio of effective porosity to porosity was $85{\sim}92%$, when FDR-V was used. This value compared favourably with 90%, which has been usually quoted in previous studies. Considering the convenience and its applicability, the measurement system of FDR-V permittivity holds a great potential in porous media and contaminant transport studies.

  • Replacement resorption is followed by the delayed replantation of an avulsed tooth. Currently no effective treatment is substantiated for replacement resorption. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of stannous fluoride, bisphosphonate (etidronate disodium) and gallium nitrate, which have been shown to reduce dentin resorption, on human dentin. Osteoclasts were collected from tibeas of chick embryo. The cells were well agitated to prevent adhesion and seeded onto the sliced human dentin wafers which had been soaked in either culture media (control), or several different concentrations of stannous fluoride, etidronate disodium (l-hydroxyethylidene -1,1-bisphosphonate disodium), and gallium nitrate. Resorption was measured by counting the number of resorptive pit produced by the cells. Results are as follows. Stannous fluoride and etidronate disodium showed statistically significant reduction of dentin resorption(p<0.05) but the effect of stannous fluoride seemed to be its high cytotoxicity. Etidronate disodium did not show cytotoxicities in all experimented concentrations. Gallium nitrate did not show differences in resorption either between different concentrations or from the control group.

  • Most boys afflicted with panhypogammaglobulinemia, also known as X-linked agammaglobulinemia, remain healthy during the first 6 to 12 months of life because of protection by maternally transmitted IgG antibodies. Thereafter, they repeatedly acquire infections with high-grade pathogens, such as pneumococci, streptococci, and hemophilus unless given antibiotics or immunoglobulin replacement therapy. We experienced a case of panhypogammaglobulinemia in a 4 years old boy. He had been suffered from recurrent upper respiratory tract infection, otitis media and pneumonia since late infancy. He was admitted due to right pleural effusion with pneumonia, and streptococcus pneumoniae was isolated from pleural fluid and blood cultures. His immune status revealed panhypogammaglobulinemia and deficiency in mature B lymphocyte. He was treated with appropriate antibiotics therapy, but showed poor responses. He was transferred to department of thoracic surgery, and received minithoracotomy (decortication) operation. He was successfully treated with operation, antibiotics, and IV gammaglobulin infusions. Now he is being followed with periodic IV gammaglobulin replacement therapy.

A 3D Audio Broadcasting Terminal for Interactive Broadcasting Services (대화형 방송을 위한 3차원 오디오 방송단말)

  • We implement an interactive 3D audio broadcasting terminal which synthesizes an audio scene according to the request of a user. Audio scene structure is described by the MPEG-4 AudioBIFS specifications. The user updates scene attributes and the terminal synthesizes the corresponding sound images in the 3D space. The terminal supports the MPEG-4 Audio top nodes and some visual nodes. Instead of using sensor nodes and route elements, we predefine node type-specific user interfaces to support BIFS commands for field replacement. We employ sound spatialization, directivity/shape modeling, and reverberation effects for 3D audio rendering and realistic feedback to user inputs. We also introduce a virtual concert program as an application scenario of the interactive broadcasting terminal.

  • Recently, there have been a lot of researches on the whole face replacement system, but it is not easy to obtain stable results due to various attitudes, angles and facial diversity. To produce a natural synthesis result when replacing the face shown in the video image, technologies such as face area detection, feature extraction, face alignment, face area segmentation, 3D attitude adjustment and facial transposition should all operate at a precise level. And each technology must be able to be interdependently combined. The results of our analysis show that the difficulty of implementing the technology and contribution to the system in facial replacement technology has increased in facial feature point extraction and facial alignment technology. On the other hand, the difficulty of the facial transposition technique and the three-dimensional posture adjustment technique were low, but showed the need for development. In this paper, we propose four facial replacement models such as 2-D Faceswap, OpenPose, Deekfake, and Cycle GAN, which are suitable for the Cox platform. These models have the following features; i.e. these models include a suitable model for front face pose image conversion, face pose image with active body movement, and face movement with right and left side by 15 degrees, Generative Adversarial Network.
