  • As the instability of oil prices rose because of the situation in Libya, oil prices worldwide recorded the highest level due to the interference in supply. And so, in the 21st century, increasing efforts are being made to use clean new renewable energy centered on solar energy in accommodation of the cycle of nature instead of being reliant on the oil exporting nations. In order to reduce city energy internationally, the implementation of a low carbon city under the combined cooperation of industrial. construction, new renewable energy and transportation sectors with continuous development centered on low carbon green urban planning is now becoming established as the paradigm of the times. Recently, the government has begun carrying out the One Million Green Home Project, which is a project where the government with the goal of providing one million renewable energy homes by 2020 gives renewable energy subsidization for a partial amount of the standard unit price of installation when solar ray, solar heat, geothermal heat, small wind power or fuel cell energy is used. Thus, through this thesis which studies the state of and surveys the green village at Shingok-ri Songhak-myun Jaecheon-shi, it is the desire that the One Million Green Homes Project will be more efficiently developed and plans for improvement formed so that a high level of satisfaction in the product will be provided.

3D S 전극을 활용한 고에너지밀도 전지 연구 (Study of a High Energy Density Battery Using a 3D Sulfur Electrode)

  • The possibility of conversion to the RC-MAT propulsion system (gasoline engine → electric motor) was studied. However, as commercial battery capacities are low. it is not possible to change the propulsion system. Nevertheless, development of nex-generation batteries is necessary for high capacity and high energy density. Although Li/S batteries are theoretically suitable as new generation batteries, these batteries are not composed of only Li and S. Hence, ensuring high energy density can be difficult. Moreover, electrolytes are important components in the study of energy density; hence, the battery by Li2S8 Molarity was sorted. There are no studied on its various electrode components. In this study, a Li/S battery was fabricated using an assorted 3D sulfur electrode of high energy density and its electrochemical properties were studied. The Li/S battery has a high energy density of 468 Wh/kg at 1.28 M Li2S8 (A805-1.28). Its capacity rapidly decreased after 1 cycle with more than 1 M Li2S8.

다목적 최적화 기법을 이용한 신재생에너지 기반 자립 에너지공급 시스템 설계 및 평가 (Economic and Environmental Assessment of a Renewable Stand-Alone Energy Supply System Using Multi-objective Optimization)

  • 본 연구에서는 다목적 최적화 기법을 이용하여 다양한 신재생에너지 자원 기반 통합 에너지 공급 시스템을 설계 및 평가 한다. 본 연구에서는 에너지 공급 시스템의 주요 구성요소로써 태양광 모듈, 풍력터빈 및 화석연료 기반 발전장치 등 에너지 생산 기술을 비롯하여 배터리와 인버터 등의 전력 에너지 저장 및 변환 장치 등도 포함한다. 특히, 6개의 한국 대표 지역을 선별하여 각 지역의 에너지 요구량 및 실제 신재생 에너지 자원 데이터를 기반으로 최적의 독립 통합 에너지 공급 시스템을 설계하였으며, 총 소요비용, 단위에너지비용 및 생애주기 이산화탄소 배출 분석 등, 다양한 지표를 이용하여 시스템의 경제성 및 환경성을 분석한다. 특히 다목적최적화 기법을 이용하여 최소 비용과 최소 이산화탄소 배출 등 두 목적함수를 동시에 만족하는 파레토 솔루션을 규명함으로써 신재생 자원 기반 독립 에너지 공급 시스템 설계의 가능성 및 효과를 정량적으로 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 신재생에너지 자원이 좋은 지역일수록 시스템 구축 비용 증가에 따른 이산화탄소 절감 효과가 높은 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 신재생에너지 자원 기반 에너지 공급 시스템의 전력 단가는 현재 기존 단가보다 평균 0.35~0.46 $/kWh높게 나타났으며, 이산화탄소 배출량의 경우 기존 배출량보다 470~490 g$CO_2$/kWh정도의 저감효과를 보임을 분석하였다.

동일본대지진 이후 일본 스마트그리드 정책의 변천과 개선방안 연구 (A Study on the Change and Improvement of Smart Grid Policy after the Great East Japan Earthquake)

  • 본 연구에서는 2011년 3월 발생한 동일본대지진 이후 스마트그리드에 대한 관심이 높아지고 있는 가운데 일본의 스마트그리드 정책 추진현황 및 문제점에 초점을 맞춰 살펴보았다. 분석 결과, 일본에서는 2011년 동일본대지진으로 인한 전력수급 문제를 계기로 신재생에너지의 고정가격매수제도가 도입되고, 나아가 신재생에너지로 생산된 전력을 거래하는 분산형 그린 전력매매 시장을 설립하는 등 에너지 위기와 환경문제를 동시 해결하는 하나의 솔루션으로서 스마트그리드 관련 프로젝트가 본격적으로 실행되었다. 그 결과 피크전력 억제 및 CO2 삭감효과, 신재생에너지원을 이용한 에너지 수급의 안정적 확보 등 가시적인 성과를 거두었다. 한편, 현행 일본의 스마트그리드 정책 운영상의 개선과제로는 전력계통 안정화 장치의 도입(송배전망의 광역적 운용이나 대형 축전지 도입 등), 스마트그리드 관련 자국기술의 국제표준, 추진 스마트 그리드의 보안성 강화 지원 등을 제시하였다.

태양열 시설원예 난방시스템 장기실증 성능분석 연구 (Study on the performance analysis of long-term field test for protected horticulture heating system using solar thermal energy)

  • Objective of the research is to demonstrate solar thermal space and ground heating system which is integrated to a green-house culture facility for reducing healing cost, Increasing the value of product by environment control, and developing advanced culture technology by deploying solar thermal system. Field test for the demonstration was carried out in horticulture complex In Jeju Island. Medium scale solar hot water system was installed in a ground heating culture facility. Reliability and economic aspect of the system which was operated complementary with thermal storage and solar hot water generation were analyzed by investigating collector efficiency, operation performance, and control features. Short term day test on element performance and Long term test of the whole system were carried out. Optimum operating condition and its characteristics were closely Investigated by changing the control condition based on the temperature difference which Is the most important operating parameter For establishing more reliable and optimal design data regarding system scale and operation condition, continuous operation and monitoring on the system need to be further carried out. However, It is expected that, in high-insolation areas where large-scale ground storage is adaptable, solar system demonstrated in the research could be economically competitive and promisingly disseminate over various application areas.

신재생 에너지원 기반의 마이크로그리드 최적운영 방안 (Optimal Operation Scheme of MicroGrid System based on Renewable Energy Resources)

  • This paper presents an optimal operation of microgrid systems and considering a tie-lines capacities that concerned each grid. The microgrid system consists of a wind turbine, a diesel generator, and a fuel cell. An one day load profile and wind resource for wind turbine generator were used for the study. For the grid interconnection, tie-line capacities were applied as constraints. The capacity constraints of tie-lines in production cost analysis are very important issues in the operation and planning of microgrid. In optimization, the Harmony Search (HS) algorithm is used for solving the problem of microgrid system operation which a various generation resources are available to meet the customer load demand with minimum operating cost. The application of HS algorithm to optimal operation of microgrid proves its effectiveness to determine optimally the generating resources without any differences of load mismatch.

  • Recently, interests in renewable energy have gradually increased. Of various renewable energy, Photovoltaic system has the properties affected by weather. This paper discusses the economic evaluation based on insolation data analysis. Real insolation data were obtained by radiation measurement device installed in projected photovoltaic system site during 20 months. Obtained real insolation data were standardized using clear day analysis. Standardized data are greater than obtained real insolation data and were used as parameters of RETScreen for the economic evaluation. In results, capacity(30[kW]) of soon cheon is shown the most B/C(1.20). Applied methods have effectively done to develop photovoltaic system.

Variable Priority Number Control of SPMS for Leisure Ship

  • The power system of leisure ship has a character of stand-alone type, so it continuously checks the usable power. Especially, the leisure ship using renewable energy needs to adjust the power consumption of loads according to the usable power. Also, the important loads of leisure ship are different by operation mode. However, current power management system doesnot consider such character. This paper studied load management system of the SPMS(Smart Power Management System) and composed using the smart plug. The SPMS controls the loads depending on a user's pattern and character through variable priority number control. This control algorithm was verified through simulation of assumed user and situation using LabVIEW.

신개념 하이브리드 동력장치 개발 (Development of a new hybrid power system)

  • In this paper, a new drive system(SHS) for hybrid electric vehicle is proposed. As dual rotor hybrid electric vehicle using planetary gearsets, the SHS has the advantages of both series and parallel systems. The output speed and torque of SHS can be determined at specific point regardless of the engine's operating point. When the size of generator which is used in SHS is same as in THS, the SHS has more activities of engine control due to the ability that is operated in lower speed range. To maximize the performance of system, we carried out optimization for the three parameters that are engine, motorl and motor2. As the result of the optimization, we confirmed the SHS is more preferable to THS in fuel consumption and acceleration area.

신재생에너지가 설치된 수용가의 마이크로그리드 구현을 위한 그리드-인터페이스 에너지 저장장치에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Grid-Interfacing Storage System for Migrating Customers with Renewable Energy Sources into Microgrid)

  • This paper introduces a grid-interactive storage system to operate the customers without voltage source inverters as a microgrid. The proposed storage system does not require any modification of the control scheme of the inverters existing within the customers. Novel control scheme of the grid-interfacing storage system according to its new structure ensures the seamless transition between the grid-connected and islanded operation of the microgrid.
