  • It is known that Reliability Differentiated Pricing (RDP) can improve the efficiency and benefits of consumers and producers. This paper examines the long-run social welfare maximization problem of the utility and presents a long-term reliability differentiated prices for firm capacity, based on customer outage costs. Then the applicability of the proposed pricing scheme is verified with a case study.

  • Reliability differentiated pricing (RDP) is known to improve the efficiency and benefits of consumers and producers. Outage costs representing the economic and non-economic consequences of service curtailments to customers can be used as an effective parameter of RDP in electricity markets. This paper examines the theoretical aspects of an RDP scheme, and derives the optimal decisions of consumers and electric utilities for long-term transactions. The proposed RDP is demonstrated through a case study on a wheeling service.

  • This paper examines the long-run social welfare maximization problems facing public utilities, which includes consideration of the cost of capital or other fixed costs of production, from which it derives optimal investment decisions in a reliability differentiated pricing based market. Reliability differentiated pricing policies lead to straightforward mathematical results on optimal investment decisions in generation and transmission expansion planning. This paper presents the mathematical conditions for optimal investment decisions.

  • Electric industry has been the object of major reforms in many countries. These reforms are aimed at attaining efficiency through competition. Thus network companies do not charge transmission cost for line user the same as method at past. This paper presents a transmission cost allocation through reliability differentiated transmission pricing in competitive electric industry. The proposed method considers only the line capacity affecting the reliability of transmission pricing under normal state and contingency state.

한복의 소비자 인식에 관한 연구 (Research on Consumer Recognition of Korean Traditional Costume, Hanbok)

  • Hanbok industry is not based on a consumer-oriented market system, which is related to poor competitiveness in various areas, such as product planning, marketing, and flow of raw materials. The purpose of this paper is to design and conduct an empirical study on important aspects of consumers. experiences and perspectives about Hanbok, and thereby aims to provide much-needed guidance about ways to promote the Hanbok market. Out of 1065 questionnaires distributed, a total of 1039 was returned with responses and used for analyses. The respondent sample included consumers of various background characteristics in their residential areas, age, gender, education levels, and income levels. Cronbach's alpha and a factor analysis were employed for the reliability and the construct validation of the survey instrument. One-way ANOVA associated with post-hoc comparison tests was used to investigate differences across different demographic subgroups of consumers. The results show that consumers generally view Hanbok as one of the formal dresses, worn one or two times per year for traditional events or ceremonies. Consumers tend to show negative opinions about the pricing, and the inconvenience in cleaning and wearing Hanbok. However, consumers think very highly of the aesthetic values, the gracious styles, and the iconic identity of nationalism of Hanbok. This study suggests that Hanbok for modern consumers should be considered as clothing for a ritual, rather than clothing to reconstruct to be fitted to modern daily lives. Hanbok should be promoted as part of up-scaled and differentiated traditional cultures, as clothing that represents and enhances the traditional elegance and beauty unique to the Korean people.

중소·벤처기업의 SCM역량 모델링과 프로세스 개선 방안에 관한 연구 (A Study on the SCM Capability Modeling and Process Improvement in Small Venture Firms)

  • 본 연구는 중소 벤처기업의 SCM(공급사슬관리)역량 모델링과 프로세스 개선 방안을 제안하는데 목적을 갖고 실증조사 하였으며, 그 결과를 종합하면 다음과 같다. 중소 벤처기업의 SCM역량 모델링과 프로세스 개선에 있어 공급사슬 전략계획의 모델링에서 전략적 제휴, 기술개발, 집중화에 있어 전략적 제휴를 가장 중요시하고 그다음 기술개발보다 집중화에 중점을 둘 것을 시사하였다. 그리고 의사결정에서도 경로설정 스케줄링과 네트워크 통합, 3자물류 아웃소싱 중 네트워크 통합을 가장 중시하였으며 관리통제에서도 고객서비스 관리, 생산성 관리, 품질 관리 중 품질 관리를 가장 중시하는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 거래지원 시스템에 있어서는 주문 관리 선택, 가격결정 청구, 출하배송, 고객 관리 중 주문 관리 선택을 가장 중시한 모델링과 프로세스상 개선을 요하는 것으로 나타났다. 이는 전체적으로 중소 벤처기업의 SCM역량을 극대화시키고 최적화된 프로세스 운영을 위해 해당 조직구성원의 역량과 프로세스 개선 관점에서 기존 전략적 제휴를 통한 네트워크 공유와 통합을 통해 품질 관리를 최적화시키고 거래지원 시스템을 안정화시킴으로써 기업간 전략적 연계를 통한 단순한 전자적 자료 교환 관계를 넘어 정보시스템의 통합 역량을 극대화시킴으로써 차별화된 경쟁우위를 달성할 수 있음을 시사한 것으로 평가할 수 있다. 따라서 스마트 시대에 최적의 공급사슬 통합 역량의 모델화와 최선의 프로세스 관리를 위해 정보통합에 있어 시스템의 호환성과 신뢰성이 바탕이 된 인프라 구축과 함께 SCM역량 극대화를 위한 조직화와 집중화가 선행되어져야 할 것이다.
