RBN과 MANET에서의 터미널 간 신뢰도 평가 (Terminal Reliability Evaluation in RBN and MANET)

  • In this paper, We presented the algorithm for estimating a reliability between nodes in wireless communication network such as RBN and MANET To estimate the reliability between nodes, we first modeled RNB and MANET as probability graph. Branches of the graph are always reliable and the probability of node failure is independent. After all possible simple path which can be established between two nodes are examined, we perform sharp arithmetic to remove repetition event between two nodes. Using probability for each variable of the minimized Boolean equation, we present the reliability formula.

  • Indexes of safety, restoration, damage impact, and management reliability were developed to assess reliability of drinking water distribution networks (DWDNs) management. The developed indexes were applied to evaluate the reliability of the pipeline management stage during unexpected mechanical and hydraulic accidents of components. The results were used to support the decision-making process in effective management and maintenance by enhancing the administrator's system understanding and by helping to create appropriate maintenance and management policies. The results of this study indicated that application of a management reliability index to assess DWDNs reliability may help create a more effective plan for establishing DWDNs management and maintenance.

Reliability Evaluation Technique for Electrical Distribution Networks Considering Planned Outages

  • The reliability evaluation of the electrical distribution networks (EDN) requires sufficient consideration of the effects of planned outages. The planned outages of the EDN can be divided, by outage models and their effects on the reliability into two major categories: by equipment and by feeder. After studying the characteristics of different categories of planned outages, this paper expands the classification of load points by outage time from 4 types to 7 types and defines corresponding reliability parameters for the different types. By using the section algorithm, this paper proposes a reliability evaluation technique of EDN considering equipment random failures and two categories of planned outages. The proposed technique has been applied to the RBTS-BUS6 test system and some practical EDNs in China. The study results demonstrate that the proposed technique is of higher practical value and can be used for evaluating the reliability performance of EDN more efficiently considering the planned outages.

  • This paper presents a reliability assessment for Inchon International Airport. Reliability of electrical parts and load points is calculated through Network reduction method and Failure modes & effective analysis method. And reliability indices of distribution system is calculated. By using reliability and reliability indices, assessment of distribution system of Inchon International Airport is executed. This results makes it possible to improve reliability.

  • MOST(Media Oriented Systems Transports)Network는 차량용 멀티미디어 기기를 위한 통신 프로토콜로서 높은 대역폭과 신뢰성을 보장하는 차량용 네트워크이다. 그러나 기존의 MOST 디바이스는 데이터 제어나 전송을 위해 내부 버스 통신방식인 I2C나 I2S통신 방식만을 사용하여 왔으나, MOST 네트워크의 대역폭이 늘어나고 하나의 디바이스 내에 여러 장치들이 추가되면서 더 넓은 대역폭의 통신방식이 필요하게 되었다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 MediaLB 통신을 사용하여 비동기 데이터 전송 시 효율성 향상 방법을 제시하고, MOST 네트워크에서 비동기 데이터 전송 시에 발생할 수 있는 데이터 신뢰성 문제를 해결하기 위하여 비동기 데이터 영역의 데이터 형태를 개선하여 전송 데이터의 신뢰성을 향상할 수 있는 알고리즘을 제안하고자 한다.

  • 최선의 전송(best-effort) 방식을 택하는 멀티캐스트 전송에서 신뢰성을 제공하기 위한 연구 중 데이타 채널과는 독립적인 계층적 제어 트리를 통하여 신뢰성을 제공하는 연구는 높은 확장성을 보장하는 것으로 알려져 있다. 그러나 하위 네트워크 계층의 트리에서 토폴로지 형성에 관한 명시적 정보를 제공하지 않는 상태에서 형성된 전송계층의 논리적 제어트리는 네트워크 계층의 트리 토폴로지와 일치하지 않아서 링크를 비효율적으로 사용할 가능성이 있다. 본 논문에서 제안한 라우터의 지원을 받아 제어트리를 구성하는 기법은 중복되는 데이타를 없애고 링크의 효율성을 향상시키는데 그 목적이 있으며, 제어트리에 사용되는 메시지 타입을 검사하는 기능 확장만을 요구함으로써 사용의 용이성을 증가시켰다.

전력산업 구조개편에 대비한 적정 TRM 및 ATC 결정에 관한 연구 (A Study of TRM and ATC Determination for Electricity Market Restructuring)

  • The Available Transfer Capability (ATC) is defined as the measure of the transfer capability remaining in the physical transmission network for further commercial activity above already committed uses. The ATC determination s related with Total Transfer Capability (TTC) and two reliability margins-Transmission Reliability Capability (TRM) and Capacity Benefit Margin(CBM) The TRM is the component of ATC that accounts for uncertainties and safety margins. Also the TRM is the amount of transmission capability necessary to ensure that the interconnected network is secure under a reasonable range of uncertainties in system conditions. The CBM is the translation of generator capacity reserve margin determined by the Load Serving Entities. This paper describes a method for determining the TTC and TRM to calculate the ATC in the Bulk power system (HL II). TTC and TRM are calculated using Power Transfer Distribution Factor (PTDF). PTDF is implemented to find generation quantifies without violating system security and to identify the most limiting facilities in determining the network’s TTC. Reactive power is also considered to more accurate TTC calculation. TRM is calculated by alternative cases. CBM is calculated by LOLE. This paper compares ATC and TRM using suggested PTDF with using CPF. The method is illustrated using the IEEE 24 bus RTS (MRTS) in case study.

분할에 의한 네트워크의 국간신뢰도 계산 (Source to teminal reliability evaluation by network decomposition)

  • 본 논문에서는 네트워크를 분할하여 국간신뢰도를 계산하는 효과적인 방법이 기술된다. 네트워크를 그래프로 모델화하고 그 그래프를 2개의 부분그래프로 부분그래프로 분할한다. 한 부분 그래프의 논리적항을 계산하고 논리 적항을 갖는 사상에 따라서 다른 부분그래프의 그래프를 만들고 논리적항을 계산한다. 부분그래프의 논리적항을 서로 곱해서 국간신뢰도를 계산하는 방법을 제안한다. 한 부분그래프의 모든 논리적항은 2의 그 부분그래프가 갖는 가지 수 제곱으로 계산되고 다른 부분그래프의 그래프가 갖는 논리적항은 그래프가 갖는 가지 수와 논리적항 수의 곱으로 계산할 수 있다. 이 방법은 분할하지 않고 국간 신뢰도를 계산하는 방법에 비해서 적은 계산시간을 갖는다.

Integrating Random Network Coding with On-Demand Multicast Routing Protocol

  • We propose integrating random network coding with the Enhanced On-Demand Multicast Routing Protocol (E-ODMRP). With the Network Coded E-ODMRP (NCE-ODMRP), we present a framework that enables a seamless integration of random linear network coding with conventional ad hoc multicast protocols for enhanced reliability. Simulation results show that the NCE-ODMRP achieves a nearly perfect packet delivery ratio while keeping the route maintenance overhead low to a degree similar to that of the E-ODMRP.
