마찰저항이 연속누출과 순간누출을 가지는 액체 풀의 확산에 미치는 영향에 대한 해석적 연구 (Effect of Frictional Resistance Force on a Liquid Pool Spreading Model with Continuous and Instantaneous Release)

  • In this study, solutions for a liquid pool spreading model with continuous and instantaneous release are discussed based on the model used in the FERC's report. The effects of the release time on the liquid pool volume and radius are investigated for the continuous release. For the continuous release with the frictional resistance force in the liquid pool spreading model, the vaporization time decreases as the release time increases. On the other hand, for the continuous release without the frictional resistance force in the liquid pool spreading model, the vaporization time increases as the release time increases. These phenomena are deeply related to the pool radius. In addition, the effects of the initial pool radius for the instantaneous release in the liquid pool spreading model are discussed. For the case with the frictional resistance force in the liquid pool spreading model, as reducing release time in the model with the frictional resistance force for the continuous release, the solution for a continuous release approaches to that for an instantaneous release. On the contrary to this, the pool volume and radius for the instantaneous release without the frictional resistance force are totally different from those for the continuous release without the frictional resistance force.

The Influence of Source Term Release Parameters on Health Effects

  • The influence of source term release parameters on offsite health effects was examined for the YGN 3&4 nuclear power plants. The release parameters considered in this study are release height, heat content, and release time. The effects of core inventory change as a function of fuel burnup was also examined. The health effects by the change of release parameters are early fatalities, cancer fatalities, and early fatality distance. The results showed that early fatalities and early fatality distance decrease as release height increases, although it does not have significant influence on cancer fatalities. The values of both early and late health effects decrease as heat content increases. As release time increases, health consequence shows maximum value in 2 hours of release time and then decreases rapidly. As fuel burnup increases, early fatalities decrease rapidly, while cancer fatalities increase rapidly. Both cases show little variation afterward. Early fatality distance is almost same in all fuel turnup history. The information obtained through this research is very useful in developing strategies for reducing offsite consequences when combined with the influence of weather conditions on offsite risks.

중첩 NHPP 모형에 근거한 소프트웨어 최적방출시기에 관한 연구 (A Study of Software Optimal Release Time for Based on Superposition NHPP Model)

  • Decision problem called an optimal release policies, after testing a software system in development phase and transfer it to the user, is studied. The applied model of release time exploited infinite non-homogeneous Poisson process. This infinite non-homogeneous Poisson process is a model which reflects the possibility of introducing new faults when correcting or modifying the software. The failure life-cycle distribution used superposition which has various intensity, if the system is complicated. Thus, software release policies which minimize a total average software cost of development and maintenance under the constraint of satisfying a software reliability requirement becomes an optimal release policies. In a numerical example, after trend test applied and estimated the parameters using maximum likelihood estimation of inter-failure time data, estimated software optimal release time. Through this study, in terms of superposition model and simply model, the optimal time to using superposition model release the software developer to determine how much could count will help.

  • In this paper, we deal with an optimal software-release problem of determining the time to stop testing and release the software system to the user. The optimal release time problem is considered from maintenance like the periodic distribution of service packs and the unpredictable distribution of patches after the release. Moreover, the environment of software error-detection during operation differs from the environment during testing. This paper proposes the software reliability growth model which incorporates periodic service packs, unpredictable patches and operational environment. Based on the proposed model, we derive optimal release time to minimize total cost composed of fixing an error, testing and maintenance. Using numerical examples, optimal release time is determined and illustrated.

섭동해를 이용한 혼합 누출에 관한 연구 (A study of a combined release model using perturbation solutions)

  • 지금까지 관행적으로 액체의 누출은 순간누출과 연속누출로 분류 되어 왔다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 분류의 문제점을 인식하고 새로운 분류 방법을 찾기 위하여 제한된 시간 동안 누출되는 극저온 액체의 확산에 관한 연구를 수행하였다. 이러한 물리적 현상은 누출된 액체풀의 부피, 반경, 높이에 관한 연립방정식에 의해 지배되며, 주요 변수는 단위면적당 증발률, 누출시간, 누출량의 3 개 이다. 섭동법에 의한 해를 효율적으로 구하기 위하여 독립된 형태의 부피에 관한 2차 미분방정식을 얻었다. 이 새로운 지배 방정식은 기존의 방법에 비하여 매우 간단하게 해를 얻을 수 있게 한다. 섭동해의 결과, 동일한 누출량인 경우에 누출시간이 작으면 연속누출이 순간누출로 이어지는 혼합 형태의 누출이 되나, 누출시간이 크게 되면 연속누출 형태로만 존재하게 된다. 동일한 누출시간의 경우에는 누출량이 작으면 연속누출 형태로만 존재하지만, 누출량이 증가할수록 혼합형태의 누출로 된다. 이러한 2개의 영역을 분할하는 경계를 섭동해를 이용하여 해석적으로 제시함으로서 누출의 새로운 분류에 대한 명확한 근거를 제시 하였다.

  • Automatic gain control(AGC) is used in hearing aids to compensate for the hearing level as to reduced dynamic range. AGC is consisted of the main 4 factors which are compression threshold, compression ratio, attack time, and release time. This study especially focus on each individual need for optimum release time parameters that can be changed within 7 certain range such as 12, 64, 128, 512, 2094, and 4096ms. To estimate the effect of various release time in AGC, twelve normal hearing and twelve hearing impaired listeners are participated. The stimuli are used by one syllable and sentence which have the same acoustic energy respectively. Then, each of score of the word recognition score is checked in quiet and noise conditions. As a result, it is verified that most people have the different best recognition score on specific release time. Also, if hearing aids is set by the optimum release time in each person, it is helpful in speech recognition and discrimination.
