  • The benefits of infrastructure support are shown by analyzing a throughput scaling law of an erasure network in which multiple relay stations (RSs) are regularly placed. Based on suitably modeling erasure probabilities under the assumed network, we show our achievable network throughput in the hybrid erasure network. More specifically, we use two types of physical models, a exponential decay model and a polynomial decay model. Then, we analyze our achievable throughput using two existing schemes including multi-hop transmissions with and without help of RSs. Our result indicates that for both physical models, the derived throughput scaling law depends on the number of nodes and the number of RSs.

  • Recently, there have been intensive researches on the wireless Internet access through WiFi WLAN using WiBro network as backhaul link in the Internet service providing business area. However, in the wireless Internet access method, we need to solve the compatibility problem for different user authentications between licensed WiBro network and unlicensed WiFi network for billing and user management. In this paper, we propose an authentication method for WiFi users by BWAN operators through WiNNERs which is RS connecting the two networks, and discuss the effectiveness of the method.

  • In this paper, we consider cooperative D2D communications in cellular networks. More precisely, a cellular user leases part of its spectrum to facilitate the D2D communication with a goal of improving the energy efficiency of a D2D pair. However the D2D pair is untrusted to the cellular user, such resource sharing may result in the information of this cellular user unsecured. In order to motivate the cellular user's generosity, this D2D pair needs to help the cellular user maintain a target secrecy rate. To address this issue, we formulate a joint spectrum and power allocation problem to maximize the energy efficiency of the D2D communication while guaranteeing the physical layer security of the cellular user. Then, a theorem is proved to indicate the best resource allocation strategy, and accordingly, an algorithm is proposed to find the best solution to this resource allocation problem. Numerical results are finally presented to verify the validity and effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.

  • As long term evolution (LTE) is the most widely deployed broadband communication technology so far, efforts are being made to develop LTE-based mission critical public safety (PS) communication systems. In this paper, we propose a device-to-device (D2D) discovery-based radio resource acquisition scheme to support the LTE D2D communication to PS systems and the realization of resource forwarding for user equipments in emergency area.

  • We propose a two-way multi-hop relaying scheme improving the throughput as well as enlarging the coverage for ship-to-ship communications in multi-ship marine networks. The proposed scheme reduces the time slots required for the data exchange by designing data transmission and network coding procedures in a sophisticated way based on two-phase digital network coding. Simulation results show that the proposed two-way multi-hop relaying scheme improves the throughput of the conventional one about 5/3 times.

In these P2P systems, the server to support the contents-information have less overloads than the composed system as the server to have resources generally. In this paper, we suggest a P2P system to support conveniences to choice time for users that were connected with the information of joint-buying based on social network. Social networks based on co-purchasing information and price alerts using the P2P system is provided by the peer, this relay information is provided by the P2P server.

  • Tactical Information Communication Network(TICN) is a concept-type integrated Military Communication system that enables precise command control and decision making by unifying the diversified military communication network and conveying diverse range of battle field information on real-time, at right place at right time. TICN is designed to advance into high speed, large capacity, long distance wireless relay transmission. To support mobility in battlefield environments, the application of Ad-hoc networking technology to its wireless communication has been examined. Ad-hoc network is consist of mobile nodes and nodes in the network depends on the cooperation of other nodes for forwarding of packets. In this context, some non-cooperating nodes may delay forwarding of packets or drop the packets. This may hamper the network as a whole and disrupt communication between the cooperating nodes. To solve this problem, we present a solution with a Node Weight Management Server(NWMS), which manages each node's weight according to its behavior in local area. When the NWMS detects misbehaving node, it increases the node's weight. If the node's weight exceeds a predefined threshold then the NWMS broadcasts the node's information into network to isolate the misbehaving node from the network. These mechanisms show that they are highly effective and can reliably detect a multitude of misbehaving node.

  • In recent days, cooperative diversity and communication security become important research issues for wireless communications. In this paper, to achieve low probability of interception (LPI) and high throughput in the cooperative single-carrier frequency division multiple access (SC-FDMA) system, a new physical layer transmission scheme is proposed, where a new encryption algorithm is applied and adaptive modulation is further considered based on channel state information (CSI). By doing so, neither relay node nor eavesdropper can intercept the information signals transmitted from user terminal (UT). Simulation results show above new physical layer transmission scheme brings in high transmission safety and secrecy rate. Furthermore, by applying adaptive modulation and coding (AMC) technique according to CSI, transmission throughput can be increased significantly. Additionally, low peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) characteristic can still be remained due to the uniform distribution of random coefficients used for encryption algorithm.
