자연광기상실에서 인삼생육에 대한 광질의 영향 (Effect of Light Quality on the Growth of Panax ginseng in a Phytotron With Natural Light)

  • 묘삼을 분재배하여 인공기상실 $15^{\circ}C$ 자연광실에서 여러가지 색의 셀로판지를 차광재로로 5~10%의 투광율로 재배하였다. 상대근중9최종생근 중/최초 생근 중)은 청>녹>백>황>적의 순서였다. 지상부 생육 특히 경장은 청색 광하에서 가장 저조하였다. 상대근중은 경장과 부상관을 보였으며 이 관계에서 각 광질은 특수한 영역을 보여 청과 녹이 한 군, 적과 황이 다른 한 군으로 분리되었다. 경장은 주당엽 면적과 전체 또는 각개의 광질내에서 정상관을 보였는데 적색 광에서만 유의성이 없었다. 잎중의 엽록소 a 및 b의 함량 또는 엽록소 a/b 비율은 백>청>녹>적>황의 순이었으며 엽록소 a와 b간, 전엽록소와 a/b 비율간 a/b 비율과 엽록소 a간에 모두 고도의 유의 정상관을 보였다. 이상의 사실들은 청색 차광자재가 인삼생산에 유리할 것임을 보여준다.

Application of computer vision for rapid measurement of seed germination

  • Root is an important organ of plant that typically lies below the surface of the soil. Root surface determines the ability of plants to absorb nutrient and water from the surrounding soil. This study describes an application of image processing and computer vision which was implemented for rapid measurement of seed germination such as root length, surface area, average diameter, branching points of roots. A CCD camera was used to obtain RGB image of seed germination which have been planted by wet paper in a humidity chamber. Temperature was controlled at approximately 250C and 90% relative humidity. Pre-processing techniques such as color space, binarized image by customized threshold, removal noise, dilation, skeleton method were applied to the obtained images for root segmentation. The various morphological parameters of roots were estimated from a root skeleton image with the accuracy of 95% and the speed of within 10 seconds. These results demonstrated the high potential of computer vision technique for the measurement of seed germination.

생장조절체 처리가 원통형 종이포트묘의 도장 억제 및 근권부 발달에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Different Application Approaches with Diniconazole on the Inhibition of Stem Elongation and the Stimulation of Root Development of Cylindrical Paper Pot Seedling)

  • 본 연구는 원통형 종이포트 토마토 육묘시 Diniconazole의 처리방법이 도장억제 및 근권발달에 미치는 영향을 검토하기 위하여 수행되었다. 그 결과, 엽면적, LAR, 초장, 충실도, 생체중, RGR 및 R/S 에서 시험구간 유의한 차이를 보였다. 동일한 농도를 처리했을 경우, 근권부와 지상부의 흡수도 차이로 인해 저면관수가 엽면살포에 비해 도장억제에 효과적이었다. 저면관수는 엽면시비의 10분의 1의 농도만으로도, 20~30%정도의 동일한 도장억제 효과를 얻을 수 있었다. 디니코나졸 처리에의한 근권부 반응이 흥미로웠는데, 저면관수시 총근장, 근권부피, 평균 근경 및 근단수가 증가하였다. 특히, 0.3mm 이하의 초미세근이 감소하고 0.3~0.6mm의 세근이 증가하였다. 따라서 원통형 종이포트 육묘시 저면관수를 하는 것이 기존 엽면시비에 비해 사용량이 적으면서도 도장억제 및 근권부 활착률을 높힐 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

담배 육묘시 근권의 공간 제한이 근계의 형태와 발달에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Space Limitation of Rhizosphere on Morphology and Development of Root System in Tobacco Seedlings)

  • 본 실험은 육묘기간동안 근권의 공간제한이 뿌리 및 지상부의 생장에 미t치는 영향을 평가하기 위해 가로 세로가 각각 5cm이고 깊이가 5, 15, 30cm인 포트를 이용하여 포트의 용적을 조절하였다. 뿌리의 발달과 지상부의 생장은 가식 후의 담배육묘기간 동안 근계의 형태발달 및 지하부와 지상부의 생장을 조사하여 포트 용적에 따른 근계의 발달 양상을 알아보고 우량묘 생산에 있어서 합리적인 포트 규격과 이식 적기를 수립하고자 실시하였다. 1. 근권의 공간 제한은 환경반응에 따른 뿌리생장을 억제하여 지상부의 주요 생육형질을 감소시켰다 포트 깊이에 따른 용적제한은 관부에서 새로운 뿌리형성을 유도하였다. 2. 뿌리수의 발달은 포트 깊이가 얕을수록 많았고, 상대증식률도 컸다. 전체 뿌리길이와 평균 간장률은 포트 깊이가 깊을수록 길었다. 3. 각 순위별 뿌리수는 포트깊이가 깊을수록 1차 순위와 2차 순위 뿌리수가 많았고 얕을수록 3차 순위의 뿌리수가 많았다. 뿌리의 구조는 가식 후 20일에는 깊은 포트에서 넓은 뿌리 구조를 보였고 가식 후 25일에는 얕은 포트에서 넓은 뿌리 구조를 보여 공간제한에 따른 뿌리 형태와 구조가 변화하였다.

상대광도별 삽주 유묘의 생장 및 뿌리 발달 특성 (Growth and Root Development Characteristics of Atractylodes japonica Seedlings by Different Relative Light Intensity)

  • This study was carried out in order to investigate the early growth and root development characteristics of Atractylodes japonica container seedling. Experiment was performed by light intensity (100%, 60%, 25% and 10% of full sunlight). Height was surveyed well under 25% of full sunlight (overall 11.013.0%). Root collar diameter was the highest in the full sunlight (7.52 mm). It was the highest fresh weight (1.52 g, 0.92 g, 0.90 g and 3.34 g) under 25% of full sunlight, root dry weight was getting higher in the higher light level and the highest in the full sunlight (0.13 g). Total root length, root project area, root surface area and root volume were the highest under 25% of full sunlight (434.7 cm, $17.4cm^2$, $54.7cm^2$, $0.55cm^3$, respectively) and the lowest under 10% of full sunlight. As a result of surveying the whole experiment, A. japonica is judged nicely by maintaining 25% of full sunlight, excepting 10% of full sunlight. And light levels during the early growth are overly important to improve early growth.

Relationship between Planting Material Conditions and Major Agronomic Characters in Cassava

  • This study was carried out to investigate the effect of stem-cutting (SC) length and portion on the major agronomic characters related with dry matter production and accumulation, and to examine their relation­ships in cassava. When cassava was planted with longer SCs or with older portion SCs, major canopy or source characters like leaf number and leaf area index developed excessively, while tuber yields could be reduced due to the decrease of root/shoot ratio, relative growth rate, root dry weight, and harvest index, particularly in the bitter varieties (high cyanide-level varieties). It was considered that the sweet varieties (low cyanide-level varieties) be early­bulked with higher tuber yield when they are planted with the 25-30 cm long SCs or with the SCs from young type to semi-mature portions of mother stems, while the bitter varieties with the 15-20 cm long SCs or with the SCs from semi-mature to hardwood portions of mother stems, respectively. However, a significant interaction between length and portion of SC was not observed in all agronomic characters.

여천공업단지 주변 토양의 알루미늄 함량에 따른 알루미늄 내성 수종의 식재 (Reforestition with Aluminum Tolerant Trees along Aluminum Content in Soil around Yeocheon Industrial Complex)

  • Selection of Al tolerant woody plants, and possibility of reforestation with the Al tolerant plants in soil conditions with different Al content, topography and slope exposures were studied on the slopes around Yeocheon Industrial Complex. Root growth in length of plants grown in 1/2 Steinberg solution decreased with increased Al concentrations of the solution. Relative root length showed that Paulownia coreana, Celtis sinensis and Firmiana simplex were sensitive to $500\muM$ Al, Pinus koraiensis, Alnus japonica and Ligustrum japonicum were intermediate, and Pinus rigida, P. densiflora and P. thunbergii were tolerant to $1, 000\muM$ Al. Coniferous plants appeared to be more tolerant to Al than deciduous ones. Soil pH was 4.2 and Al content was 509 ppm in average around the Yeocheon industrial complex. Al content and soil acidity were more deteriorated on the foothill and slope facing to the pollution source from the industrial complex than on the ridge and opposite slope.

  • The distribution of current in the conductors influenced by the armature geometry and velocity is an important parameter for determining performance of an electromagnetic launcher(EML). the electric current in the early launching stage tends to flow on the outer surfaces of the conductors, resulting in very high local electric current density. However, the tendency for current to concentrate on the surface is driven by the velocity skin effect later in launching stage. The high current density produces high local heating and, consequently, increases armature wear which causes several defects on EML system. This paper investigates the effects of rail/armature geometry on current density distribution, launcher inductance gradient (L'), and contact force. Three geometrical parameters are used here to characterize the railgun system. These are the ratio of contact length to root length, relative position of contact leading edge to root trailing edge, and the ratio of rail overhang to the rail height. The distribution of current density, L', contact force between various configurations of the armature and the rail are analyzed and compared by using the EMAP3D program.

퉁가리과(Amblycipitidae) 어류 계측형질 특징 (Morphometric Characteristics of Torrent Catfish (Amblycipitidae) in Korea)

  • 한국의 퉁가리과 어류 3종의 형태학적 특성을 classical dimension과 truss dimension을 사용하여 파악하였다. Arc sin square root 전환 후, 18가지의 계측형질을 체장에 대한 비율로, 그리고 3가지의 계측형질은 두장에 대한 비율로 각각 분석하였다. 퉁사리, Liobagrus obesus는 classical dimension과 truss dimension의 4가지 계측 형질이 퉁가리, L. andersoni와 자가사리, L. mediadiposalisa에 비하여 컸다 (P<0.05). 퉁사리와 퉁가리는 truss dimension의 3가지 계측형질이 자가사리보다 컸다 (P<0.05). 조사된 퉁가리과 어류의 6가지 계측형질에서는 유의적인 차이가 없었다. 본 연구에 사용된 dimension들은 한국산 퉁가리과 어류들을 구별할 수 있는 적절한 분류학적 지표로 사용될 수 있으리라 사료된다.

A study of glass and carbon fibers in FRAC utilizing machine learning approach

  • Asphalt concrete (AC), is a mixture of bitumen and aggregates, which is very sensitive in the design of flexible pavement. In this study, the Marshall stability of the glass and carbon fiber bituminous concrete was predicted by using Artificial Neural Network (ANN), Support Vector Machine (SVM), Random Forest (RF), and M5P Tree machine learning algorithms. To predict the Marshall stability, nine inputs parameters i.e., Bitumen, Glass and Carbon fibers mixed in 100:0, 75:25, 50:50, 25:75, 0:100 percentage (designated as 100GF:0CF, 75GF:25CF, 50GF:50 CF, 25GF:75CF, 0GF:100CF), Bitumen grade (VG), Fiber length (FL), and Fiber diameter (FD) were utilized from the experimental and literary data. Seven statistical indices i.e., coefficient of correlation (CC), mean absolute error (MAE), root mean squared error (RMSE), relative absolute error (RAE), root relative squared error (RRSE), Scattering index (SI), and BIAS were applied to assess the effectiveness of the developed models. According to the performance evaluation results, Artificial neural network (ANN) was outperforming among other models with CC values as 0.9147 and 0.8648, MAE values as 1.3757 and 1.978, RMSE values as 1.843 and 2.6951, RAE values as 39.88 and 49.31, RRSE values as 40.62 and 50.50, SI values as 0.1379 and 0.2027 and BIAS value as -0.1 290 and -0.2357 in training and testing stage respectively. The Taylor diagram (testing stage) also confirmed that the ANN-based model outperforms the other models. Results of sensitivity analysis showed that the fiber length is the most influential in all nine input parameters whereas the fiber combination of 25GF:75CF was the most effective among all the fiber mixes in Marshall stability.
